Alright guys! I know it's been
AGES since we last did this. Alas, busy lives for us all. Nonetheless, here we are back again with Featured Article! On top of that, we've decided to add in the Featured Magic contest once again! So, here are the rules for nominating both Magic and Articles, which we will get underway now:

Also, quick note. I'm adding a "theme" this time around to the Featured Article nominations. So feel free to nominate anything to do with "Darkness" this time around. Whether that be Dark Mages, Demons, Etherious, Black Arts, etc. Run wild!

NOTE: Articles owned or co-owned by you cannot be nominated for by yourself!

We will end the nomination period by the 5th of March and then commence the voting period until the 10th of March. On the 11th (Australian time) the articles will be posted.

Requirements

1.
Completeness - Simple enough, right? In order to be Featured, the article in question should be complete to a certain standard. Required sections are: Personality, History, Magic and Abilities. Any other sections are optional, but if you want a higher chance, you'd have the entire article complete anyway; it looks more professional.

EDIT: This can be circumvented in regards to one of the sections,
only if the appearance section is complete. Furthermore, it'd likely be of an appreciable standard in order to meet the requirements. However, Magic and Abilities is exempt from this, as it is an important part of virtually any Fairy Tail Fanon character.

2.
Byte Count - In alternative words, this means detail. The actual byte count can be found by pressing the arrow near the 'edit' button, and clicking on 'history', you can see the contributions; near the right side you can see the byte count. The minimum byte count is 15,000 for a Featured Article, it shows that you've engaged with the article thoroughly and proves you're doing your all to make it awesome.

3.
Grammar, Spelling and Formatting - Simple requirement. The article must have fluent grammar and spelling, enough so that there are only minor errors, and don't detract from the overall message the article is attempting to convey. It also must follow the Manual of Style (Appearance, Personality, History, Synopsis, Magic and Abilities, any sub-sections, parent tabs and templates also count here), making sure that the article can be read fluidly and properly.

4.
Originality - The article itself shouldn't have any crossover elements and the like. All wording must be from the author originally, and it should have a concept that sticks out as a good piece of fanon work, in terms of originality. This isn't to say you can't take inspiration, as long as you've individualized everything.

5.
Selection of Abilities - The abilities on the character shouldn't be overpowered. If they possess a marginal level of power, it should be justified to the point where it appears reasonable. (Aka, if they have power equivalent to a Wizard Saint, they'd have a large number of years, innate talent for magic, or equipment that provides them such abilities.)

Completeness - Simple enough, right? In order to be Featured, the article in question should be complete to a certain standard. Required sections are: Description and Spells. Any other sections are optional, but if you want a higher chance, you'd have the entire article complete anyway; it looks more professional.

EDIT: Note, if the magic itself has no necessity for spells due to its function, it is exempt from the spell-completion rule, and therefore, can be submitted if the description is complete.
