<p>If you want to make him a Knight, figure out what kind of contribution he made, and fix up his abilities, then apply again. Or wait until there's more Knights, and ask them. </p>

<p>My response to High. </p><p>On the trusting issue, I always figured my character to be a gruffy and cynical one. However, when paired with his colleague, he will act with the utmost professionalism and dedication. It is that very dedication that makes him unapproachable on a personal level, especially since he lacks any of the mercy that more idealistic knights such a Keine share. </p><p>He is, basically, the "Lawful Good/Neutral" version of a Bad Cop. Very zealous, but not incline to compromise and very eager to deal with problematic people in a violently permanent fashion. He still has some sense of empathy and kindness, but is not a side their colleagues sees ofte. Also, note that Werther is a good actor, and will put a facade of amiability on the public for the sake of the council reputation. Plus, Magic Council has a somewhat shadier streak: a loyal mastiff can be more useful to them than someone so indipendent as Keine or Skylar, as charismatic they may be. We have seen it is not above black ops operation, and people like Werhter thrive on that field. </p>

<p>While those are good qualities, please note that the Holy Knights have become anal about people having inclinations that remind of Michael, who was extreme in his path to destroy Dark Mages to the point it got out of hand, and he defected, becoming a criminal again.  </p><p>Basically, the idea isn't bad, but it doesn't fit a Holy Knight, who are supposed to be basically ideal, and not shady at all. There's a reason they're unbearably strict about their members. Say what you will about the council "being shady", either going by canon or the typical fanon interpertation, but the Holy Knights aren't meant to be a part of that. I don't want to sound as if I'm policing your idea, but I inevitably am, due to the requirements a Holy Knight needs to meet.  </p><p>Reading what you described raises some red flags akin to Michael, hence why it is an issue. </p>

<p>I would like to submit Dardariel. </p><p>>She is a native of Iceberg, born in a frontier town of southern Iceberg. </p><p>>She attended the Rune Knight Academy in Crocus, completing their coursework in 4 years and graduating at the top of her class. </p><p>>A hand-to-hand combat virtuoso, she combines the abilities of her Muay Thai fighting style with her variant of Ex-quip to wreak havoc on the battlefields. </p><p>>She is a kind soul with a soft spot for children and the downtrodden, particularly relating to the latter as she comes from humble origins as well. The lass has a strong moral compass and seeks to better the lives of those around her. </p><p>>Her contribution that led to her promotion would be the artifact that she uncovered during one of her deployments as a Rune Knight. It would also be the engagement where she earned her moniker of One-Woman Army due to her ability. </p><p>>She then imparted this artifact to the Magic Council, while maintaining a portion for the village where this artifact was found. Noting their survival and prosperity depended on it. </p>

<p>Bezaliel makes his entrance like a shadow. </p><p>Bezaliel is an applicable candidate for the Holy Knights, because: </p>

• Reputation: Among the Rune Knights, his reputation is noted to be quite well maintained as, despite his role as a scout and information gatherer, there is no trace of any deception in his words. He is a well-informed, but truthful man who reports all of his findings to the Magic Council and preserves the order and reputation of the organization, especially in these tough times.
• Personality: Bezaliel is a calm, studious and devoted man who seeks to do anything within his power for the cause of promoting peace in the populace. However, he understands that (almost) all people deserve to atone for their sins and therefore never resorts to killing. Although an amicable person, due to being consistently exhausted as a result of his occupation, there is a comical avoidance of Bezaliel among the Holy Knights with the exception of those who know him well.
• Contribution: Bezaliel has contributed significantly to the Rune Knights. It was initially his idea to split the Rune Knights into squadrons based on a Rune Knight's respective strengths, thus increasing their deploy-ability and efficiency in certain situations. In addition, he spearheaded the information gathering habits of the Rune Knights for years to come. Although he intended on these skills to be used for the correct purpose, the upper echelon of the Magic Council made the validity of his contributions somewhat difficult to observe.
• Signature Skill: Outside of his general magical prowess, Bezaliel is an incredibly skilled informant, strategist and tactician. He has gathered a select number of Rune Knights that worked alongside him back during his days as a student, and uses them, along with the Holy Knight's resources, to gather necessary information about the movements of Dark Guilds and associated threats to Ishgar. He reports this information to the Magic Council and, thus, assists in the decisions made by the Magic Council regarding the Holy Knight's missions.
• Magical Abilities: Bezaliel, although a skilled Knight, has a far greater level of skill in Magic of the obscure kind. His primary ability is in Illusion Magic. Otherwise, he makes use of Magic Seal-based fighting styles in a similar vein to Mystogan by using daggers and knives as a medium. Finally, his most unique ability is to draw on the power of stories, that is, storybooks that have Magic within their writing. He can draw out the characters or setting of these stories by expending his own magical energy and, accordingly, manipulate them to his own end. A more limited version of Summoning, if you will.

<p>I'm sorry if I'm late to the party, but what is a "Holy Knight"? Is that anything similar to a 'Rune Knight'? </p>

<p>They're almost like an elite band of Rune Knights, you could say. </p><p>Basically, those Rune Knights who have significantly contributed to the Rune Knights' current status, whether it be through training regimes, introduction of new combat principles, branches, etc, are seen as distinguished. If they meet a certain criteria (laid out above) then they are invited to join the Holy Knights. </p><p>The Holy Knights perform high-level missions compared to the Rune Knights, taking a more active approach in monitoring and subduing Dark Guilds as opposed to Rune Knights, which monitor the Legal Guilds a bit more. </p>

<p>...so they're a Inner Circle group of Rune Knights, almost in the same vein that the Ten Wizard Saints are magicians of noteworthy status? </p>
