As of 27/8/18 (and the USA equivalent), the following rules have been adjusted/revised/added to incorporate new canon information regarding Dragon Slayers:

• 3.4e: Fourth and Fifth-Generation Dragon Slayers — All individuals who wish to make a fourth or fifth generation Dragon Slayer must go through the admins before making one, in the same fashion as the original ones. However, when considering the unique requirements for both of these Dragon Slayer generations, a proper reason must be given to justify the character’s existence.
• 3.4f: Non-traditional Slayer Elements — The ability to create Dragon Slayers with non-traditional elements, such as “Blade” will be allowed. However, the non-traditional element must be approved by the admin supervising over the creation of the Slayer Magic. Likewise, elements such as “time” and “space” will be forbidden until they have been revealed in canon, for those who intend on RPing with these characters.

IN ADDITION: The "Slayer Magic" page for wiki-wide RPers will be updated in order to reflect these canon changes in a way that everyone can understand, and can be put on one page. If you intend on said character RPing throughout the wiki, please use the following page as a guideline: Slayer Magic (FTF).

Until further notice, please do not create any Fifth Generation Dragon Slayer users or Magic! Likewise, do not create fanon versions of Diabolos! We still have to confirm the full nature of them, and it is best not to run on speculations!

ANYWHO! With my newfound inspiration, I wanted to ask all of you:

For the up and coming Wizard Saints revamp, which will eventually be taking place, although a date hasn't been decided, what would you all like the Wizard Saints to be?

In canon, the Wizard Saints are a symbol of status and prestige. They represent the most powerful that Ishgar have to offer, and do nothing more than that. It was only during the attack from Alvarez that the Saints (four of them at least) banded together to fight them.

I'd like to ask you all: What other roles do you believe the Saints should possess, when it comes to fanon-wide circumstances? Your thoughts as part of the community are much appreciated! :)

Hello everyone! So it has recently come to my attention that a lot of people are seeing glitches/changes to their coding, particularly regarding the collapsible boxes that are often used in people's sandboxes. Said glitches turn something like this:

Into this:

Which as you can see, defeats the purpose of having the information in a collapsible tab itself.

So, what I found out was that the glitches are caused by the usage of Classic rich-text editor. By using this editor it replaces the coding like this:

As you can see, it adds coding, changes coding, and spaces coding to make the template ineffective. Why it does this? I don't know. But I do have the solution so it stops happening to your articles.

Switch editors.

If you talk to any of the admins, we will all tell you the same thing. Source Editor is easiest and most functional, especially when dealing with collapsible boxes and other coding and templates.

In case you don't know how to switch to source editor, it's pretty simple:

• Scroll up to your avatar/profile
• Click "My Preferences"
• Then the tab "Editing"

You should reach something that looks like this:

Make sure Source Editor is selected. Not Classic or Visual.

Greetings Everyone! Astrarche here and today we've got some big news. The other admins and I have decided since the Wizard Saints are quite outdated with old characters and old users, now is the time to bring them up to the modern era!

So, we're giving you all this heads up almost half a year in advance to give you all time to edit characters or create characters you think fit the role. We don't have a concrete date for when applications will begin, but it should be sometime this summer.

As for criteria, here's what we're looking for:

• Your character shouldn't explicitly exist *just* to be a Wizard Saint. They should have a purpose and story of their own, being a Wizard Saint is just a potential facet of their overall character.
• They should meet a basic strength requirement. Your character should at least be of "S-Class" level. By no means do they have to be a world-class fighter, but they should be able to hold their own.
• They should be in good standing with the Magic Council. Your character does not have to be any sort of Saintly person (badumtish), though they should have no grievances with the law. Destructive characters in a similar vein to Natsu, are probably not your best bet.
• Your character should have a quality that is admirable to the people of Ishgar. As seen in canon, with Jose, your character doesn't have to be a glowing sunshine individual. Despite his selfishness and status as an antagonist, Jose obviously was a Saint because he held some sort of admirable quality, whether that was leadership, strength or something else. Your character does not have to be a world-destroyer to be admirable. All they need is a quality that common people can respect and look to.
• You may only submit one character. We don't want the wizard saints to be comprised of only three users. This is an opportunity for greater diversity.

So, what we need from you all is to keep this in mind this winter and spring, start coming up with or tweaking characters you think would fit these requirements. Your character should be at least 70% complete by the time we do applications (solid personality and abilities/magic at the least) and you should be able to tell us why they would be a saint.

Hello! Astrarche here and as we're approaching the new year the admin team has decided to revamp the canon pages.

Basically, I'm going to be going around the next few months condensing information and adding information in overall descriptions to make each piece more cohesive, informative, and reflective of canon.

Besides this, we're introducing a new style of formatting spells on these canon pages. I will be deleting fanon character exclusive spells from the page and will be replacing them with a spell section of free use spells, either paraphrased/based on canon spells or submitted by the userbase for free use.

Please be patient as this occurs as I cannot magically do it overnight and feel free to leave any feedback or suggestions in the comments!

Hey everyone! Ashy here. I'd like to formally apologize on behalf of all the present administration for our lack of attention on the wiki. Following the series' end, my interest in FTF as both a creative endeavor and RP site significantly declined, and I became piled up with University work and (now) real-life work, so my creative juices haven't been flowing as much.

Likewise, the other Admins are also in similar situations. Therefore, I'm happy to announce User:Astrarche, otherwise known as "QueenOfSwords", shall be the newest Admin of Fairy Tail Fanon.

Once again, I'd like to apologize. Perhaps with the advent of a new admin, the wiki will be able to pursue bigger things as it did in the past. I will also try to help out to the best of my abilities, as will the other admins.

Hey everyone. As we all know, the administrator presence has been declining a bit on the fanon due to IRL commitments from most of our admins. As such, as a team, we decided that another admin was necessary to better regulate the content on the wiki.

So, I'd like to present to you our Fifth Administrator: Arukana.

He won't be fulfilling any super niche role (as of yet), but he'll be scanning around the wiki, handing out warnings to those who break the rules, perhaps giving advice and the like.

With regards to a new chat moderator, that will be decided upon shortly. But, for now, that's all we have for you today.

Okay, after messaging Ash about the applications for the Holy Knights, I discovered that it will be a RP-based thing, something HB failed to mention (so I guessed it was something that was implied), so I decided to pull out. But that's not what this is about.

Anyways, as I told Ash on PM, until further notice I will NOT be doing any RPs of the sort with ANY user!

The reason for this is mainly due to me being involved in certain fandoms, and the people in them don't know how to RP correctly; it's either autohitting, godmodding, or a total and unauthorized shift in the RP to suit their needs. One of the reasons I despise the Go fandom is because of that (the other parts are my fault because I was new to the whole fandom experience and I was being a bit immature in certain areas, despite my age). Also gave me a reminder of my old self when I doing RPs with others here, which always ended up problematic in some way, which is why I stick to making characters exclusively and interacting with users in chat or on other sites.

All of you reading this would say "So? Just start all over here." or "Why should it affect your interactions here? To an extent, it does because of the fact that I'm losing more and more patience with people these days and I go off easily just because of such an experience; I can be rather anal, as you can see by my Anti-FT rants (which have valid points to them and not done out of blind hatred).

As HB, Ash, Aru, Damon, Per, Queen, and some others know (because I told them this in confidence), I really don't change writing styles for anyone because it just messes up my game and causes me to lose track of what I'm doing. Hell, it would take me a few months, if not years to do a complete overhaul of my writing style, which is not easy. I'm a communications and a lit. major with a minor in Fine Arts, so I'm saying this from experience as a junior going into his senior year. Whenever I write articles these days, the Powers and Abilities section I leave blank because, for me, power levels are skewered, especially in FT. That, and everyone's expecting me to write out these detailed explanations on how the magic works instead of giving a two or three sentence briefing. And since I'm very wordy, but still get to the point, I tend to avoid these things and focus on the other sections. So most of my character articles will remain incomplete because of this flaw.

That's about it I guess; if you need me for other things, then hmu on my talk page or message me if you know me elsewhere. For now, gonna focus on the last stretch of this damned semester.

3.23: Ars Magia — The ancient Magic known to "melt the earth and evaporate blood in living beings" is banned from use for everyone with the exception of fanonified versions of August. While August is still able to fanonified, the reasoning will be strictly evaluated, considering his status in canon.

Also, do not make comments about canon here. There will be a better place for that when a review pops up.

Hey all! It's Ash here. Today I'm not here as an admin but, rather, a normal editing user much like you all.

If any of you follow my wiki activity in the slightest, you would know that I have been working on a project known as Yehuda.

Today I'd like to open up that project to you all! If any of you are interested in making a character for Yehuda, whether it be from an existing country I've detailed or a completely new one (there's a total of 12), please let me know!

Positions in the Twelve Apostles are also open, and if popularity skyrockets, I can remove one of my characters in order to make room, it's no big deal.

Remember, though, the point of Yehuda is to diverge away from canon while respecting its core! I'm attempting to introduce new ideas in both a socio-political and magical context.

Considering I have specific guidelines I'd like people to follow with regards to framing abilities and such, please run any characters or their concepts with me. I'd also love it if you could make native residents of Yehuda!

And one last thing! Yehuda is a continent completely separate from Ishgar and Alakitacia until recent times. Knowledge common in Ishgar and Alakitacia, in terms of Magic, skills, etc, are not common in Yehuda!

Branch out your horizons and seek new ideas while framing a character from Yehuda, is my only request!

Hello my friends! So because Ash is pretty busy with exams and such for college, we, of the “Featured Article Committee”, will be posting the thread for this month’s featured character and magic. In the spirit of Thanksgiving we are going go with the theme of “charitable and giving” for the characters. This means that characters who are part of philanthropic organizations/guilds can be nominated, or just an overall “hero-type” mage that do a lot to give back to the community that they are in. As far as the theme for magic, we are going to go with your favorite type of Lost Magic! As generally these magics tend to date back a very long time, just like the traditions of Thanksgiving.

We will end the nomination period by the 17th of November, and then commence the voting period until the 24th of November. Once someone is nominated, please do not nominate them again. You can wait until the voting process to show your support for that page. We apologize for the lateness of this thread, but we will be sure to be on top of the next one! Hopefully…

Hey y'all. With the new chapters and all, some new announcements have to be made regarding rules. Though admittedly, some of these should have put in place earlier.

3.19: Command T and Age Seal in Roleplays ― Considering the absolutely overpowered nature of both these Magic and how instant their effects are, some rules are being placed regarding their use.

• If the character in question is taking part in roleplays, there must be an activation sequence and there must be a way to avoid the Magic if it is cast. This means that just clicking your fingers won't be enough to shrink a person to bug-sized, nor will clicking your teeth stop time. Do note, for Command T, this is only effective against another person, your own constructs, equipment or self are exempt from these rules. Also, the nature of these activation sequences will be left to your discretion. As for why these are being enforced, it's because of two reasons: Brandish's magic power was considered absurd, and Dimaria was the vessel for a God of time. An ordinary Mage cannot hope to match conditions like these.
• Likewise, there should be a means to overcome the Magic, especially considering your character's magic power in comparison to your roleplaying partner's, as well as how long the Magic must be maintained for. Not everyone is at the level of a Spriggan 12, contrary to popular opinion, so maintaining these taxing Magic for extended periods of time looks very silly.
• With specific reference to Age Seal, because it is the ability to stop time, an inherent weakness must be present for any practitioner with the exception of Dimaria Yesta (although for good writing habits you should still add one). This can be in the form of rapidly draining stamina, or something else, so long as it is appropriate to how it is being used.

3.20: Etherious cannot wield Magic ― It is expressly stated within canon that Etherious do not wield Magic. The only exception to this rule is Devil Slayer Magic, courtesy of Bradman, and "invading" specific Magic that can be classified as a simple supernatural skill, such as Telepathy, as shown by Mard Geer. Even though END is the overall exception to this rule due to his possession of Dragon Slayer Magic, note that he is an exception because he is an Etherious successfully created from a human corpse. No other Etherious is made this way. Note, these rules do not apply to all kinds of Demons. However, if your Demon possesses Magic, it shouldn't possess Curses because only Etherious have been seen wielding them. In addition, Curse variations of Slayer Magic will not be allowed.

5.10 END cannot be fanonified. ― (Spoilers) Despite END technically being Natsu Dragneel, he is also an exceedingly important plot point. As such, any fanonification of Natsu will not be allowed to have the "power of END." The only exception to this is stories that are a reimagination of canonical events that surround END and associated things.

Hey guys, sorry to bombard you with all these big changes, but at the end of the week, I'll be deleting Demon Slayer Magic. The reason why, is, well, Devil Slayer Magic lol. We don't know two slayer magics that kill the same thing - devil slayer magic can be edited to encompass all demons. Anyway, by the end of the week, can y'all do me a favour and change your Demon Slayer Magics to Devil Slayer Magics, please? Thanks everyone.

Hey guys, just to say it, I've gone and deleted Dragon Magic after a year of debating whether or not to do so. The reason why I deleted it is because we later found out that Dragons use ordinary Dragon Slayer Magic, and really what I put there is just dragon slayer magic but with some gimmicks added in. But the reason why I'm announcing it is because I know multiple users have Dragon Magic, so if you can just change them to Dragon Slayer Magic or whatever you really want, that'd be great.

Hey there, everyone. It's Aru who hosting this thing because I made the mistake of bringing it up. Someone has to do this job and it was gonna be my turn eventually. Anyways, as the title of the thing would suggest, we're having a nomination for the new featured articles - both character and magic. I'm almost positive we are still using the same ones from June, so its time we changed the course of this disaster train.

Much like last time, there is gonna be a theme - the Magic Council. This means anything affiliated with the organization is eligible to be nominated such as this traitor and the group Holy Knights—however, those affiliation with the organization cannot be a farce. They must be working with the Magic Council genuinely and not be double-crossing agents who were initially part of a Dark Guild or something of the sort. This also means that technically certain Ten Wizard Saints can be nominated but in my personal opinion, I would prefer the nominations to be separate from that.

We will end the nomination period by the 17th of August and then commence the voting period until the 24th of August. On the 25th, the articles will be posted.
