"I guess you finally grew some balls for once in your life. Let's hope it's not temporary. Now, you can treat a lady with proper care, or are you just act like a macho asshole like the rest?"

Altruistic Gallantry (利他武侠, Rita Bukyō) is something that's legendary, passed down in many lore from generation to generation; it's one of the few magic that's considered to be obscenely overpowered powerful in its own right, despite not being classified as a form of Lost Magic. Due to its mechanics, it's originally thought to be a Black Arts — similar to its ghastly and demonic counterparts, but was later disproven due to the soul involved and the history behind said magic — including its uses and various users. As a form of Take Over, it's typically considered to be a Caster Magic and an advanced form of Transformation.

In the modern era, this magic is alternatively referred to as Take Over: Warrior Soul (接収・伝奇的英雄の転生勇者霊(テイク・オーバー・ウォーリア・ソウル), Teiku Ōbā: Wōria Sōru; lit. "Confiscation: Incarnated Valiant Spirits of the Legendary Heroes"), like most of its brethren for the sake of naming convenience. As the latter's name would imply, this magic allows the user to essentially "take over" the spirits of legendary heroes, regardless of their origins — using their knowledge and prowess they've garnered over their lifetimes as the user's own. There are various heroes recognized by the annals of history, all of whom are known to be either influential or powerful. This makes it one of the more powerful forms of Take Over, thus rightfully classifies it as a "Intermediate Take Over" (接収の実質的方式(インターメディェイト・テイク・オーバー), Intāmedieito Teiku Ōbā; lit. "Substantial Method of Confiscation").

As this magic is something that's passed down from generation-to-generation from the original users to those that are deemed as "Chosen Ones" (択ばれし, Erabareshi), there's only one user per era. Currently, this form of Take Over is in the hands of Arturia Pendragon — a man who's well known as the incarnation of the famed "White Knight" (白馬の騎士, Hakubanokishi), a hero who's destined to save humanity from a great calamity; he garnered such magic from one of his late teachers who's well known for shaping the magical world in a colossal way.

Trivia[]

  • The author was experimenting with this form of Take Over, basing it off of the effects of Human Subordination; given how humans can be "taken over", he thought the same is possible through Take Over — thus this magic came about.
  • Much to the popular belief, this Take Over and that Take Over aren't related.
  • The souls used here are mainly based off of the various classes and characters seen in the Monster Hunter franchise and the Cardfight! Vanguard anime, with some Warrior-type monsters thrown in from the Yu-Gi-Oh! series.
