Alvos Mortician (アルボスモルティシアン, Arubosu Morutishian) is a "Forbidden Mage" (禁魔道士, Kinmadōshi), one of the few known to exist, or the only existing one of the current era that is well-known. A man hungering for knowledge, Alvos spent the majority of his life researching magic, desiring to unlock all of its secrets and origins, having no ill will himself, yet the knowledge he gathered resulted in growing power.
Known as the Azure Destroyer (紺碧破壊者, Konpeki Hakaisha), Alvos recieved the special ranking of "Forbidden Mage" due to the fact he is not evil per se, but that his power and abilities are causing a growing paranoia among those who know of his existence, the Magic Council especially. Thus, while likely an innocent man, Alvos is continuously trageted, which only increases his infamy after each failed attempt on his life.
