Ancient Writing Magic (古い作成魔法. Furui Sakusei Mahō) can be considered an uncommon form of Enchantment and a form of Letter Magic, of which the user uses the old form of writing (hence the "ancient" part of Ancient Writing Magic). It is referred as an ancient form of writing because of how it had experienced a sharp decline somewhere during Earthland's history, and to this day, of all of the people that can use this ancient magic, it is only with mages that can speak the ancient languages of these ancient civilizations. This magic incorporates the usage of Undeciphered writing systems, of which it can play an advantage and a disadvantage to the user; the advantage being that because it is undeciphered, the effects can depends on what the user would have to write down, but the disadvantage being that because it is undeciphered, it can be very unpredictable over what the effects would be.
Overview[]
In an abstract form, Ancient Writing Magic is the direct ancestor of Writing Magic, Solid Script including its eastern counterpart and also of Rune Magic, while also being a part of the whole concept of Letter Magic, having first been used somewhere around Earthland's past. When the moment when mages first started to use the Ethernano that is located pretty much everywhere around Earth Land, this allowed Ancient Writing Magic to take shape, especially when mages realize that when they could use Letter Magic, if they can incorporate the Ethernano into their writing system, it would create a new type of magic, thus Ancient Writing Magic came into shape.
When a combination of Writing, Solid, and Rune magics come into play, this would give in the creation of Ancient Writing Magic, thus the user can draw a set of "runes" or "words" in a sense, but said runes or words would come with an unknown effect or to act as a seal, giving the user the ability to release spells and conjure the elements. The price being that this requires the user to go into a very long incantation, writing about the words required for said incantation while also having the user to speak vocally to activate said incantation. Once the incantation has been finished, the user would allow themselves to utilize a variety of spells, some of them being offensive spells, others being defensive spells, some being complementary spells too. No matter the spell, the effect can involve the aspect of a natural phenomenon like erosion and lightning, to even the entire phenomenon itself.
In a sense, Ancient Writing Magic is basically a mixture between writing, rune, and solid script magics being molded into one, to create a unique form of letter magic. However, because the writing is very ancient, the meaning and effects of this magic are at best, random. This is because of the rather unpredictability of the magic due to years of not being used and the language needed to chant said magical spells from this one magic is unknown.
That said, this magic isn't strictly limited to this land, of course, there have been instances of this magic being used from across, although the users of said magic are either deceased or have been in hiding (if they haven't died that is). Examples include the "Dīnggǔ Wén" (钉骨文. Lit. Nail-Bone Script) and "Shǒuzhǐ Dòngxué Wén" (手指洞穴文. Lit. Finger Cave Script) of Huangxia, the "Mountain Breaker" (पर्वतभङ्गकः) script of Bhārata, and including the ancient Vounóouranó scrips still yet to be deciphered.
Spells[]
Offensive Spells[]
The offensive spells, as the name would suggest, allows for the user to utilize the spells of this magic for offensive purposes. The effects again, are often random at times due to the rather unpredictable nature of this magic, so at times, the spell in question is either effective or ineffective. The general rule of these offensive spells are that they fall into the following; Halaf, Maadi, and Hassuna Spells. These three spells are categorized based on their effectiveness and the amount of energy needed to cast these spells. Maadi spells are often effective, but they require a lot more magical energy than needed, while Hassuna spells tend to be more weaker but they don't cost a lot so they are used more often. Halaf spells on the other hand, fall in the middle, as they don't require more power are much stronger than Hassuna spells but more weaker than Maadi spells. It is because of this that Halaf spells are mainly used if the user has excessive magical energy tp spend.

Trivia[]
- This magic originally belonged to Jonny20040, but since the original author hasn't been active since 2018, I asked Afro Artorius if I can take over this article. After a few days later, Afro Artorius (at first) asked me what are my intentions in taking over this article, I said that I would incorporate a few undeciphered writing systems, and Afro said "Yeah, go ahead", so if the original author were to somehow come back, I'm giving this article back to you.
