"King's Legacy" {Spear} (王の遺産. Ō No Isan)

Athenodorus Pavlopetri (アティノドロスパブロペトリ. Atinodorosu Paburopetori) is a mage who currently is a member of the Jade Lions guild. Born in the city state of Milanthus, one of the Déntra Pólis, he is often a fellow Vounóouranó with Theodotis Velia, a fellow guild member. Among those of the Jade Lions guild, he is the most well-known, haven made famous from his exploits the dark guild Sandy Rats, to which the Jade Lions were at war with.

Referred as "Red Spear" (赤い槍. Akai Yari), his spear, "King's Legacy" (王の遺産. Ō No Isan), is valuable is when it is used in the good hands of a great warriors, someone like Athenodorus, then that warrior would be have the title of the strongest. And although he is seen as strong and handsome, he often denies any of it, stating that they are just exaggerations from his exploits by women to wants to be in his pants.

Athenodorus is considered by many, from women to even males, to be handsome in some regards. It is why he used to be in the Sorcerer's Magazine of "Top Five Most Handsomest Mages" before he got tired of being in the spotlight.

With his spiky green hair and his noticeable yellow eyes, wears a a type of silver steel armor, whilst with an orange cloth around his body.

Personality[]

Being the type of man who would is charismatic, is sometimes the man who would be like that, a charismatic person that always has the carefree smile upon his face. With his brothers-in-arms, never has to feel lonely, having allies that will help him whenever trouble has happened, yet for some reason, he felt unwanted and unloved everywhere he goes.

Having met Theodotis, both of them have a bit of a rivalry because much like in history where Milanthus is often at odds with Thracama, both of them have never been in the best of relationships, with the only form of communication is either through sarcastic quips or a hard cold stare between themselves. Some people say that they might as well be enemies.

Being a carefree man, most people know better than to underestimate him, because there used to be an "incident" to which Akamas threw a rock at Athenodorus. He responded by hitting Akamas to the gut, making it clear that no one needs to mess with Athenodorus, lest they were to be like Akamas, who already knows when it's best to cut his loss and run away.

History[]

The Birth of a Lion[]

Much of what is known about Athenodorus is often at best based off of rumours and/or legends surrounding his history. What is known about him is that he was born in Milanthus, one of the city states of Vounóouranó. In his early childhood, he used to be one of the troublemakers, that being he in his younger years, accidentally broke a window of his neighbor. Said neighbor almost killed him, weren't not for his parents. Realizing that Athenodorus is chaotic as a child, he received some educational help with a local monster. Said monster, while not a man-eater, is still considered an abomination, but his parents saw it as the only chance, so they went to one of the monsters in the village. Said monster happens to be a member of the Kéntauros race, a subspecies from the Beastmen people. Once Athenodorus meets with the monster like he is obeyed to, he is quite surprise to learn that rather than the man-eating demon that he is told in his childhood would kill him, but rather, the "monster" is actually a kindhearted and "friendly to children" type of person.

Magic[]

Chariot Magic[]

Chariot Magic (戦車の魔法. Sensha No Mahō) refers to a Holder Magic that involves chariots. Chariot Magic is used since the beginning of the domestication of horses, the chariot itself is a type of carriage that is driven by a rider known as a charioteer, using horses as the main form of rapid motive power. A known form of transportation before the invention of the train, Chariot Magic is used by the steppe nomads of the northeast. This usage of Chariot Magic has spread throughout the lands surrounding them, which spread to the west to Berfrancia, all the way to the east of Huangxia, this form of holder magic has spread across, except to the lands of Victoria and Pachamama. This magic is used by riders referred as charioteers, with the best charioteers being in the Ḫaattuša Kamrušepa. They devolped a subspecies of Chariot Magic, with the design of the chariot having lighter wheels, with four spokes rather than eight, and that held three warriors rather than the typical two soldiers to be in the chariot. The reason why it has three warriors is because the wheel is at the middle rather than the front or the back. The magic is also more useful from transportation, with a summoning of the chariot being with a magic circle or with the whistle of the finger. The amount of horses used to ride this chariot also varies depending on how the user would ride their chariot, with two horses being a Biga, three horses as a Triga, and four horses being a Quadriga.

  • Nemean Hippodrome (ネミアンヒッポドローム. Nemian Hippodorōmu): Nemean Hippodrome is one of the more basic spells of this magic, with the user being able to ride their chariot in a form of sphere or such. The user would channel their magic power into the chariot and empowering it and then the user would choose a direction to use this spell. Most users of this magic often used this spell in clusters of enemies, making a sphere where the charioteer can be seen.
  • Spring Riding Festival (春乗馬まつり. Haru Jōba Matsuri): Spring Riding Festival is a spell that is used when the user has channeled their magic energy into the chariot. There, the user would make the chariot faster like lightning, creating a sort of magical charge where the charioteer uses this spell on their foes. By using this spell, the chariot would be more faster than regular chariots, creating speeds that are comparable to a motorcycle of about 605.698 km or 376.363 mph.

Spear Magic[]

Spear Magic (槍の魔法. Yari No Mahō) is a Holder Magic that involves the usage of spears and is considered one of the more widespread due to the availability of spears across the world. Spear Magic has long been used for a long time, ever since people started making tools from simple materials such as wood and bone. A type of pole weapon that consists of the shaft and the pointed head, it's common design allowed for the creation of numerous spears. This, combined with the addition of magical energy allows for a mage to apply their energy into these spears. It is not uncommon for a mage to add in some additional effects to their spears from the manipulation of telekinetically moving their spears to the inclusion of elemental magic and lastly to employ lots of magical energy to use in combat. This magic is not without it's weaknesses. In sprite of it's longer reach, the spear can easily be broken should the foe have an opportunity to break it, even if it was imbued with magical energy. And much like many of the pole weapons, spear magic is not always useful in terms of weather conditions, which is why when it is thrown at a climate that is not so suitable, then the effectiveness that made it useful as a throwing weapon is thrown off of the window.

  • Kinshi (金鵄. Kinshi): Being copied from spellblade, this this version incorporates spears rather than swords. Much like the sword version, this spell allows the user to imbue their magical energy into the pointed head of the spear or rather the entire thing. It can also be incorporated with different types of elemental magic such as fire or water magic.

Abilities[]

  • Expert Weapons Specialist: Although he has proven himself to be good in terms of the spear, he admits that he's not good with either the bow, axe, or even a whip. However, he has shown some experience with using a spear, as shown when he is seen fighting against a dozen or so enemies with his signature weapon.

Equipment[]

  • King's Legacy: A spear created by a blacksmith who is a long term friend of Athenodorus' father, this spear can take down five to ten enemies when wielded by the person holding it. The spear is used for close-combat, with Athenodorus using it against his foes during close-combat, yet it can't be used in a building due to its length.

Trivia[]

  • He is physically represented by Rider of Red.
  • He is originally named "Constantine Valerius" before I changed it.
