"Archangel" (大天使. Daitenshi) {Longbow} |
Aulus Yan (オーラスヤン. Ōrasuyan) is a member of the Blue Wolves guild, the strongest guild in Acacia City (and possibly equal to Fairy Tail), and a great user of the bow. Born in Ashburn, a town in the Iceni Kingdom, Aulus had a poor background, from a family that never knew the luxuries of a warm bed and good food, he lived in a town that is suffering from the plague that ravaged the town, forced to move from his hometown for a better life in the city. It was during his life in Calidenn city, that he started working for labour, when he is able to survive the "Calidenn Factory Accident", consider one of the three worse factory accidents in the kingdom.
Due to the accident, Aulus lost his eyes because of an eye injury, the explanation of how he always has his eyes closed, because of the small metal parts of a machine that was able to become fixed into his two eyes. Thus, Aulus ended up being blind until he able to get a surgery that replaces his lost eyes, now with prosthetic eyes but due to a mishap, he ended up getting eyes that have the eye color of gold instead of brown-colored eyes. But his poor life didn't end here, as while he is blind, a creature was able to take advantage and almost killed him. Aulus survived, but now he carries both scars, one from an accident, and the other from a creature's attack.
Now with these two scars, he would impress not only his fellow guild members, but also gain the sympathy of others, who felt bad about him and the way he suffered throughout his life. Although anyone would help, Aulus has gotten used to being blind, but with his replacement eyes, he can finally see, and to many, it had a supernatural feeling of sadness but also one of rage.
Appearance[]

Aulus' full appearance.
Appearance-wise, Aulus is a tall and handsome man, with well-rounded muscles due to him using his bow and is very-built, which would make him very popular among the ladies, which to some, mistakes him to be a child of an angel which is where he got his alias, yet how he isn't in the Sorcerer's Magazine for the most handsomest mage is anyone's guess. He has long red hair that goes down through his shoulders, and golden eyes that replaced his once brown eyes. Along with that, he also carries a scar that he received during an attack by a creature.
The only thing that makes him well-known is the fact that he always seems to have his eyes closed, creating confusion if he's sleeping or is waiting for the right time. It can to the point that no one can even tell anymore.
In terms of the clothing he wears, Aulus wears a silver shirt, unbuttoned to show his scar, black pants, and what appears to be a pair of silver boots. It also included a quiver for Aulus to contain his arrows.
Personality[]
A calm man, he is usually seen as someone who can keep his composure, yet deep down, he is often tragic, and it not hard to see why, because of his upbringing and the loss of an eye and an attack by a creature. Always with his eyes closed, it's quite hard for someone to tell if he's awake or is just sleeping most of the time. It also meant that he's planning something else, but what it is no one can actually tell.
There is also something that makes him popular with the ladies besides his good looks, his eagerness to go for any woman, married or not. This can bite him in the back as while he still knows that the woman might be an enemy mage in disguise, for some reason, he'll still go after her. A problematic case, but one that is able to define him as a womanizer. Despite this, it hasn't reduced his usefulness in the field, but the fact that he'll still go for only lady is a problem indeed, to the point that Goro Asamori told him about why he shouldn't go for any woman, especially if it's a trap by a dark guild.
When Aulus is fighting, his attitude changed, he shows no mercy for anyone wicked, sparing nothing against dark mages, but he is also very saddened about him killing his enemies, but it doesn't extend to monsters, so Aulus is free to straight up kill them with no remorse. In secret after a fight, his mind to start to think about why should he fight against those who had a blessing of a higher person in the sky? Why is it that he, born a child of tragedy, must take down those who might've suffered some tragic fate? This is what he was thinking about after a fight, wondering when he would give some mercy.
In the years living in a poor town, Aulus is taught how to survive using a longbow, which is how is able to become a master archer, being able to make every shot of his longbow count, accurately able to strike true combined with his bow magic and arrow magic.
History[]
Early Life[]
Upon a small town that is Ashburn, brought forth a red-headed child, his parents naming him Aulus. Aulus would grow up in a relatively normal life, in that he helped his father hunt wild boars for food, and to find anything else that looks edible like birds, rabbits or any straw cows. It is because of him hunting a cow that landed him in trouble once with a local farmer. The incident, known as the "Ashburn Hunting Incident", revolves around how the farmer saw that one of his cattle had been shot by the boy. In the end, the town head at the time, Davis Blackwood, concluded that while Aulus is responsible for shooting the cattle, the farmer didn't indicate that the cow belonged to him. But as it turns out, the cattle didn't belong to the farmer, but rather it's a cattle that escaped from a farm.
Having been clear of this incident, Aulus Yan's archery only became better with age, and at that time, he would be involved with numerous incidents, culminating with one incident in which Aulus (accidentally) shot a favorite rabbit of a noble. The noble however, instead of being angered by how this peasant boy killed his favorite pet, he is instead intrigued by how his skills with a bow seemed to be greater. And so, the noble asked Aulus of he could join him as his personal hunting partner, helping the noble with hunting wild game. Aulus refused, stating that he has a family to take care of, and that he would bring his own mother and father to starvation if he were to leave them. Impressed by his filial piety, the noble let Aulus go.

Master Archery[]

Aulus Yan with his longbow, "Archangel".
Having been taught the ways of the bow, Aulus has shown great usage of his longbow, allowing to master his archery skills. He is able to use his skills once hunting wild boars for food, now he can effectively use those skills augmenting those skills with his Bow Magic to further enhance his mastery and to provide a greater firepower that is both superior and in great skill against his opponents. Capable of firing multiple arrows against his enemies, he can use his longbow, "Archangel", to fire those arrows and combined with his Arrow Magic makes him a foe to be reckoned with.
Master Hand-to-Hand Combatant[]
Demonstrating himself as a master of hand-to-hand combat, Aulus Yan is skilled in taking down his enemies on a hand-to-hand combat, as his physically build allows him to engage his opponents on a very short range without the use of his longbow. Currently, he is able to master only one technique:Ki no Michi, a form of martial arts developed in the east. Gaining from this technique from a master of this technique, it allows him to defend himself from incoming attacks.
- Ki no Michi (木の道. Ki no Michi. Lit. The Way of the Tree): This form of martial arts was created by the monks of the eastern world of Kaishen, it is said that the old monks created it to be an integration of their martial arts practices and the personal expression of their philosophy to "live like that of a tree. Staying sturdy with deep roots, even in the face of a growing storm or scorching sun", meaning to stand on their ground. This fast-paced, flexible style of the marital arts primarily focuses on the neutralization of an incoming attack or using the user's momentum and predictable protectory in order for the user to dodge the attack for a counter. It emphasizes a majority of throwing techniques and joint manipulations, although the use of a mages Ki, later realized to be ethernano, is of great importance when delivering an effective block or counter. Also of particular importance is the timing of a defensive technique, either to blend or to neutralize an attack's effectiveness and to use the force of the enemy's movement against him/her. The name of this type of martial arts comes from the fighting style's extremely proficient defensive abilities. Because of the strong defense a practitioner of Ki no Michi must be able to hold in order to get achieve an effective countermeasure, it is said that they move "with the flexibility of a willow branch, but the sturdiness of a live oak." With his physical body able for flexible movement, it allows Aulus to neutralize any attack or to dodge from an incoming strike.
- God Cedar Cranial Descent (神杉頭蓋降下. Kamisugi Tōgai Kōka): Working best as in immediate counter move to follow an opponent's momentum, however, this move does require a great deal of strength to aid in the execution. As an opponent comes in for an attack, the mage will target the leading foot and scoop one the opponents thighs with their free hand. Using the opponents momentum to aid in their ascension, the mage will lift their opponent upside down so that their head is the closest point of contact to the earth. The mage will then proceed to drop to their side or back, driving the opponent into the earth on their neck and shoulders, or on the top of their head. If executed properly this move will follow one fluid motion and can leave the opponent with severe dizziness, a concussion, cracked cranium, paralysis, or even death if the opponent happens to land in such a way.
- Jaya Sri Maha Kick (ジャヤスリマハキック. Jayasurimahakikku): Once the practitioner is able to see an opening, they focus a great deal of ethernano into their leg for power, while also maintaining their center of balance and delivers a kick at the opponent's weak spot. The only major weakness of this technique is that the user has to focus a great deal of ethernano into their legs, forcing them to lower the power given to their arms; this can be covered by an X guarded stance, or use the free leg to block as well. With the swiftness and power concentrated into the leg, this is easily break bones if an opponent holds no defensive protection. This is also a versatile skill that can be used to launch a practitioner into the air with a vertical distance of 45 feet or 13.716 meters.
- Jōmon Sugi Thrust (縄文杉の推力. Jōmon Sugi no Suiryoku): This technique begins with an open palm uppercut to the opponent's chin at close range. Once the hand is placed against the opponent's chin, the free hand is then used to strike the connected elbow. The force created from both hands is now behind a single point that's in contact with the opponent's chin. Since the hand is already in contact with the opponent's chin, they won't be able to evade the second hit. This is a skillful move to evade a grasp, as your opponent is within range and would not be able to stand the backward force to their spinal column without releasing their hold.
Magic[]
Archery Magic[]

Archery Magic (弓の魔法. Kyū no Mahō) is a Holder Magic and type of weapons magic that revolves around the use of bows & arrows; to put it in another term, projectiles fired from a weapon with an elastic string. Although popularity has waned with the turn of the century thanks to the invention of gunpowder and the increasingly reliance of firearms, becoming antiquated in comparison to Sword Magic and of it's rival Guns Magic, it still remains a discipline worthy of both fear and respect, more or less due in part because of the skills needed to perform archery magic, and to this day, it is still one of the more commonly used magics.

Enough said.
Also referred to as Hunting Magic, Archery Magic is a subcategory of Weapons Magic that focuses on the use of projectiles. Unique in its own right, it is the sister of Sword Magic and Polearm Magic, possessing similar functions and abilities. Typically performed with a short or longbow, it can be used to enhance the speed and accuracy of one’s arrows, imbue them with elemental might, and more. Uniquely, this magic can even be used to create bows and arrows from their own magical energy, albeit with the aide of conduits and mediums. This makes it incredibly versatile in comparison to its sister magics, with it’s only true limits being the user themselves and the bow or arrow they’re using. And true to it's name, archery magic encompasses basically all of archery, from longbows to crossbows, it is guarantied that Archery Magic would have a place in those weapons.

- He is physically based on
How SadTristan from Fate Grand Order. - I wrote this at the day he got an animation update.
- The funny part about Aulus Yan is that there's a running joke about Aulus' when he is sleeping, so members would tale the opportunity to draw on Aulus' face. He didn't like that at all.
