Bula (ブラ bura) is a former servant to the House of Hogi and also a former test subject of Mago Hogi who had formed Bula into the skilled fighter he is today, having learned many magic arts and skills taught to him by Mago in order to serve him dutifully when the time may come. Joining the guild Herboren, Bula has proven himself worthy of the title of S-Class, successfully impressing the guild master Uepon Mausu and even serving as the Magic Council member's bodyguard seldomly. Bula is also the Mystan representative of Herboren in his homeland, representing the Ishgardian born guild whilst serving the populace of Mys with a helping hand, giving a good name to his guild as well as bring fame and fortune to the international guild of Herboren. Being the former servant of the most prestigous family in the whole of Mys and it's empire, Bula has acquired several skills that make him useful on and off of the field as he tended to the needs of the Hogi family, being in charge of several tasks in order to keep the wellbeing of the household up to standards and shape. Applying these skills into his battles, Bula has shown himself as a skilled and talented fighter with a knack for beating his enemies into a pulp must they deserve it.

Just like his fellow servant Gul, Bula was only given a single name to follow and also developed an admiration for the Mystan prince Mago Hogi, looking up to the first born of the emperor as an idol as he followed instructions carefully and up to the likings of the ypung prince. Unlike Gul however, Bula did not acquire a gift from Mago after his departure from the land of Mys to become a mage, as just before that time Bula was trained by Mago during his time in the Mystan Government. Seeking more guidance, Bula had also left shortly after to find Mago so that he could carry on his training, eventally catching up to the independent mage after the national pandemic where he carried on learning magic underneath the supervision of Mago Hogi. Finishing his training, Bula took his leave from Mago to look for the guild Herboren to keep a connection between Mys and Ishgar, discovering the guild's whereabouts and enlisting his name to join up, spending a good few years before becoming an S-Class ranked mage due to the training and association he had with Mago Hogi, a very good friend and associate with the guild's master Uepon Mausu.

He values the properties of companionship and loyalty, which he shows definetly throughout his personality, valuing the times he spends with everyone he meets as to not seem rude or selfish, caring alot about his appearance and the view of others from the outside more than the inside. Bula is quite the intellectual, devising many plans and calculating different outcomes and their chance to succeed in just seconds after having begun the planning process. He can do this also in the heat of battle where he can keep his cool even though there may be intense destruction going on around him, having learnt how to concentarte on a single thing without distractions, though this may prove to become his ultimate downfall must he not pay attention out on the field. Bula can both be a leader and a follower as he can switch between being a strong indpendent warrior, capable enough to lead himself and others into the heart of battle, or a loyal follower whp is dependant on the decisions of the higher ups to follow them down to the smallest detail for a perfect and suspected outcome. These are but more techniques and skills that Bula had learned during his time with the Hogi family which he applies to his life as a mage.

Called the The Scarlet Falcon (ス スカーレット ファルコン su sukaaretto farukon) because of his swiftness and agility on the field, Bula is feared for taking down the lower opponents in just seconds of coming close to them, using as little movement and attention needed to take down foes. The name also comes from his excessive use of Reduced Earth, which he utilises to reach from one point of the battlefield to the other point in as little time as possible. But one name that stands out from the rest is Bula Mausu (ブラ モース bura moosu), which refers to Bula's relationship to Uepon Mausu and their alike appearance that Bula and Uepon can also be considered a proper father and son, a mistaken relationship that the both of them do not bother try denying, often taking it as a joke. Being called the son of Uepon Mausu, Bula hasn't found any trouble with it so far, even gaining the admiration and respect of several other mages who are substantially more powerful than Bula himself. He uses this name to conceal his association with Mago Hogi, who had previously been identified as a dark mage, a reputation that Bula wishes not to be connected with in any way possible.

Appearance

BulaImage02
The young man is quite tall, averaging a height that towers over the normal human though still tall enough to be considered a normal height to some, often looking down onto others not because of pride, but because he is taller than most of the folk in Ishgar. Bula's physique is about just right, as he is either not too slender or not too plump for a man of his capabilities, for he must retain a certain shape and health to his body for him to carry on fighting and casting the magic that he can do. If one was to feel his arms and legs, and torso and whatever they may feel that it is hardened up, this is because of his muscles that have intensed that they are a symbol and represntation of Bula's strength and raw power that he has trained himself to gain over the many years he has been serving under Mago Hogi as well as after his training had finished. Bula is quite handsome despite the amount of damage that he has undertaken over the years of fighting, which usually end up hitting his many displayed parts as his face and arms and chest, though no marks such as scratches or bruises appear. A head of lucious blood red hair sit ontop as they spike outwards in all directions of his head, barely covering the strong and dark eyebrows that sit above his grey coloured iris' in his charming eyes. When Bula opens his mouth, his shiny white teeth glimmer in the bright sunshine, as the light that reflects off is very strong, which covers a nice and healthy gum though I'm sure noone on this site wants me to talk about what the inside of Bula's mouth looks like. With a little bit of chest hair, being the manly man that Bula is, the young mage doesn't really shaves his chest for there being no need to, as he barely grows any hair on his chest or even on his arms.

So now that we are talking about his casual clothing, we can now talk about his upper body clothing articles, that are the most notable feature of his outfit as this is where most of the details are located, though there are a few good bits of detail on the other parts of his clothing, the upperbody seems to hold the most for Bula's normal outfit. A get-up ready for battle, this collection of clothing is suited with various parts of armour ready to protect Bula from the deadliest of attacks from other mages, all embedded with magic lacrimas that tone down the effects of magic attacks when coming into contact with the armour. Probably the most noticed and largest of the armour pieces is his shoulder wear which hangs over his right shoulder and covers the back and front of his right half, though not much is protected on the front right half of his body when wearing such armour. Though may not look very protective, they are exceptionally well at deflecting magic attacks such as magic bullets and magic arrows that they soak up all the damage from attacks to allow Bula to carry on fighting. All around the top half of his body, Bula wears a variety of belts that are designed the same way as well as colours used and materials to craft such clothing. Underneath this extra protection, Bula wears a suit compromised of a white dress shirt underneath a black suit jacket that has been designed with red accents that line the sides of the jacket, matching the colours of the House of Hogi. He also wears black leather gloves to fend off against fire attacks and whatever to stop the conduction of electricity if it enters his blade wholst he attacks, also using the leather gloves to deal hard hitting blt attacks with the metal built in within the kunckles of the gloves that are concealed with an extra layer of hard black leather. His pants are just the same as his suit jacket and his leather shoes that he wears on his feet are made from special leather that are extremely durable that they deliver hard hitting kicks just as Bula's gloves do with the metal inside, which works the same way with metal inside his shoes.

BulaImage03
Bula also surprisingly has an everyday outfit that he wears wherever he goes if he chooses not to wear the casual, though this outfit is usually worn during training and any physical activity that he feels that is appropriate to wear this attire. To start off this description of the nearly boring outift with so little detail that I am currently buying myself bytes to describe so that this article can reach a fair amount of bytes which I'm hoping becomes a hundred, we can start with the upperbody wear where like before, holds the most detail over the other parts of the outfit. His upper body wear is made up of a black and red tracksuit jacket that bares a random and mysterious emblem of the company that Bula bought the tracksuit from. The torso part of the tracksuit jacket is coloured red to show where his torso is, whilst the shoulders and arms of the tracksuit jacket are black with red accents that stream down the sides all the way to the ends of the sleeves, which is red ends that are elastic to grip onto the arms better. Bula usually wears the collar up instead of it folded so to give it more of a mage type look, fitting to his profession as a mage of Herboren. The sleeves of the jacket are always pulled backwards near to his elbows as to display the fit and healthy wellbeing of his arms as his muscles nearly stick out from underneath the jacket. Underneath the tracksuit jacket that I have finally finished describing, is a dark grey toned shirt that even goes down and shows up from the bottom of his tracksuit jacket, as to give the putfit a much more sporty loo to it as what the outfit is suited for. His tracksuit pants are a perfect fit, coloured a strong red just as his trackuit jacket and has black accents that line down the sides of the pants down to the end of the pants sleeves, just as how the red accents on his tracksuit jacket went down to the ends of his jacket sleeves. The shoes are normal trainers that are prodominently white, with a red border line to seperate the top of the shoes from the bottom, which have become a strong grey toned colour which are definitely not the product of the intense training that Bula puts himself through.

Using his Requip magic to switch between outfits, Bula always retains a scabbard for his blades when they are withdrawn form his collection in the spatial magic realm, where all Requip users store their belongings and equipment within so that they can use them in future events. On his most notable outfit, the belts that go around his body have the ability to hold one of his scabbards that holds his swords, clipping on the container in an easier place for Bula to withdraw his blade when needed as to deliver quick and devastating attacks that can greatly harm the target. But where he commonly places the scabbard is onto the belt where it lies on his left side, with the handle of his place which is made with white details on the hilt of the blade as well as black buts showing up sticking out of a pretty simple looking scabbard made out of har material that is very durable which he can use to attack with blunt and hard hitting attacks. On his normal outfit aswell, one may also notice a red armour protecting the whole of Bula's left arm, which Bula uses to defend most of his body with as the armour he wears on that side is made out of the strongest kind of flexible material that he was able to afford through the wealth of Herboren. With black padded metals that stick out, Bula can use this to his advantage as he smashes them against opponents to deliver just as hard gitting and blunt attacks like the rest of his non sharp equipment, usually slamming the back of his arms against enemies' heads to violently shatter and maybe crush them. Tassles all over his attires are meant to distract the enemies, taking the enemies' focus off Bula's weapon as he can now strike with them directly looking at the tasstles that move around.

Personality

Being the former servant to the House of Hogi, Bula looked up to Mago Hogi with admiration and respect, following orders from the Mystan prince without hesitation as it was his job to, quickly accomplishing these tasks to take care of Mago Hogi and the rest of his family with the best of his ability. Bula has been with the Hogi family most of his life and so has had no interest other than them and their activity, having been at the ready to serve them at the second they required his services. Bula respects the House of Hogi family greatly and will defend them with his life on the line just as how each of the Hogi members would do with eachother, viewing the family as a sort of adoptive family to him even though he hasn't been treated like once ever since he had arrived to their needs. Bula's training has made him very confident and talented, for Bula has come to be proud on his techniques and skills compared to other mages though still recognises others for their power if they have shown themselves to have surpassed Bula's capabilities. Bula is forever greatful to Mago for the training that mage has given him and so is extremely loyal to the wellbeing of Mago. Having gone through several experiments to test the ethernano in one's body, Bula has gone through periods of excruciating pain all in the name of finding a way to make Mago stronger, which is one of Bula's many displays of his loyalty and submissive behaviour to the family of Hogi, even though he too had left Mys to go to Ishgar so that he could find Mago. Bula does however have a seperate life to this nature of being a servant to the prestigious family, and doesn't delve into the likes unless he is around them, usually keeping the family to one side of his life and other people on the other.

On the outside to the normal populace of Earth Land, Bula is pretty confident and friendly when it comes to introducing himself to other people, always up to look for new associates and friends to call his as he doesn't like the fact that he is on his own now. Bula finds the people of Ishgar to be interesting, just a tad more than the people back in Mys, as he likes to study how the Ishgardians operate in their own land, and how they react to things differently from the people of Mys, where the land's two governments work differently. Bula is quite handy with many things, such as cooking, cleaning, etc. because of his job as a servant for the House of Hogi, and uses these developed skills in order to help the friends that he has made here. He also does his best to ignore the flaws of people in order to concentrate on their strengths, as well as ignoring any rude behaviours that he mentally overcomes, as to not allow the negativity of other people bring him down. Bula is a very good role model to look up to, as he is willing to help the population as best as he can as well as offer help to whoever looks as though they may need it. This however doesn't mean that Bula sees ill in the people as a whole, even though he has been confirmed that he had originally came from Ishgar before heading over to Mys at such a ypung age and becoming a devout servant to the needs of the House of Hogi. This origin story has made him very curious about his history and is always up to search for why things have gone this way, looking for evidence to prove his origin fom Ishgar and to why he had come to Mys in the first place. This does not affect his relationship and views on the House of Hogi family for he has grown up to have an everlasting impression on the royal family, and has never thought to think of them differently.

BulaImage04
Inside combat, Bula is very confident in his skills as he retains a calm and preserved personality during his fights, as if he is not worried about the enemy landing a hit on him thanks to his capabilities as a mage. This does not mean he is weak however as his pride as a fighter is shown definetly during times like this, delivering lethal and dangerous strikes against the enemy effortlessly as he finds no discomfort when attacking those that do not show that their power surpasses Bula's. But when people that have defiently passed Bula's capabilities, he finds that this is where the real fight begins as he finally puts all his strength in to take out the current enemy, using as much of his skills as he can in order to make sure that he may emerge as the victor from the fight. When struck enough times hough, Bula slowly changes into a more monstrous form and look, as he loses the colour in his eyes and the expression of a killing intent is clearly shown on his face, becoming a sadistic and brutal fighter who is nothing but wanting the experience of victory over his enemies. Bula is at his strongest during this form, and so loses much of his humanity to deal devastating blows that can immediately leave lasting effects on his enemies, such as putting them through mass amounts of excruciating pain only to leave them nearly paralysed with no defence at all. Bula cares little for human life at this point and it is clear that this has been the product of the many experiments that Mago had done to Bula's body, though this only shows when Bula has been harmed enough times that he calls upon a more violent behaviour to overcome the enemy. There is no trouble to swotch between the two personalities, as Bula sees his more sadistic side as a transformation into a monster much like Take-Over.

His place as an S-Class mage in Herboren doesn't affect him too much, even though he is considered one of the most capable in his guild, even going as far as to be the personal bodyguard to the guild master and Magic Council member Uepon Mausu, as he protects the mage to the best of his capability. Bula also very much cares about the other mages in the guild, seeing them like a second family just as how most of the members of Herboren see eachother, and also being the S-Class mage of the guild, acts very much as an older brother to many of the other guild members even though he may be one of the youngest to some of them. In a guild filled with spirits, Bula does not feel out of place as being stronger than some of the spirit-infused beings that have enlisted into Herboren, even respecting the lower ranked members as if he was lower to them. Bula holds a father son relationship with Uepon, and sometimes practices with the guild master to further his capabilities even more, learning so much that both Uepon and Mago have become idols to Bula as he respects them equally. Knowing that Uepon was good friends with Mago Hogi, Bula does his very best to protect the old man, in respect to Mago Hogi who still very much speaks highly of the grand wizard, using the training he recieved from Mago in hopes that Uepon may recognise the teacher of Bula.

Magic Abilities

Requip

Requip (換装魔法レキップ, Rekippu lit. Express Equipmentary Magic), also known as Ex-equip, is a Caster Magic and a type of Spatial Magic related to the summoning of various types of equipment. This Magic allows the user to store items in a pocket dimension so they can easily summon it at any time, even during battle, which gives them a high level of flexibility in combat. It is said that the user summons the items from a pocket dimension; the notional place that things come from when they are needed, and where they go back to when not. The actual location of where they summon the items is very hard to determine. It contains only a few things, not because it is limited in capacity, but because that is all it is ever used for - for example, this is where the user normally summons the armor and their equipment; withdrawing things even during battle, which gives her a high level of flexibility in combat. However, there is a limit to how much the pocket dimension can store. Requip can be used for simple or for combat-related purposes; and the user may just choose to use it to change their clothing, capable of using it in the midst of battle. The user would often pull any items that they had collected out of nowhere and then they would just vanish without any physical means of transporting them. However, there is a limit to how much the pocket dimension can store. It is also to be noted that Requip users can mix-match any and all equipment or weapons they store in this pocket dimension. Bula knows very basic of this magic, and seems to onl utilise Requip when switching between outfits for outside of combat, unlike his master Uepon who specialises in such uses.

Earth Magic

Earth Magic (土魔法 Tsuchi Mahō) is a Caster Magic and Elemental Magic which enables the caster to manipulate the element of earth. Earth Magic is activated by the user utilizing their magical energy in order to manipulate the soil and anything related to it in any way that they wish even without directly touching it- as long as their magical energy washes over something and it has traces of earth embedded within it, the user is capable of modifying it, even through thought alone. Effectively, this grants the user the ability to manipulate, modify, generate from their body earthen materials to their fullest extent- a skilled user has absolute dominance over the earth and everything related to and dwelling within it. When using Earth Magic, the magicians harness the power of the earth around them to attack or defend, giving Earth Magic users a great deal of flexibility in their magic. Earth Magicians use their magic to unleash powerful earthen structures, create walls to block opposing spells, and generally use it to enhance their physical attacks—Earth Magic is intricately tied to the caster's physical motions, though a user of Earth Magic is required to remain in motion at nearly all times, only standing still long enough to launch an attack—even though most Earth Magic users are fairly slow, these motions help to retain the Earth Magic user's balance between attack and defense, using strength and defense to become both a shield and spear. A user is commonly seen producing earth from their very existence, before shaping it mentally and setting it upon their enemies to inflict maximum damage with ease. To a skilled user, the earth around themselves is similar to an extension of their body as in they are capable of manipulating a pre-existing earthen construct's movements and structure, subjugating it to their will- a master of Earth Magic can levitate entire buildings, tear extremely large pieces of stone from the earth, create fissures with a simple stomp, turn soil and dirt into quicksand, and of course, tunnel through the ground. Skilled users can manipulate the physical properties of earth, such as making sand as hard as metal, creating iron-hard rock pillars from the ground, or even bending the ground at will and turning it into a liquid form. Earth Magic also enables a user to literally dive into the ground (be it rock, concrete, or metal), using their hands or feet, and tunnel through it. Earth magic is strong and immune to Lightning Magic and Fire Magic, but Wind Magic is capable of upturning it and Water Magic will reduce the earth to mud. Like other elemental magics some users can also transform their bodies to earth to travelling through solid obstacles and underground. In the manga, Jura's arms appear to turn into rocks, although it is unknown if this transformation is caused by Earth Magic or advanced Transformation Magic.

  • Liquid Ground: Bula incorporates his magic to bend the ground at his will. His magic gives him the ability to make earth soft and to manipulate it from under his targets. Liquid ground can work with any earthern material surface, allowing Bula to melt even mountains thanks to his expertise and power of the magic arts. Liquid Ground is a spell recommended to trap enemies enemies within the ground, which Bula uses Liquid Ground in combination with Solid Ground to entrap enemies into the floor, where Bula can carry on attacking them as they struggle to escape and remove themselves from their earthern trap. Liquid Ground as one could tell is the opposite of Solid Ground, as Bula concentrates his ethernano power into the ground as it slowly liquifies the ground through unknown means, eventually turning the ground into a liquid state that allows enemies to quickly sink downward when they step into it, sort of like a muddy quicksand as Bula describes it. One popular way that Bula utilises Liquid Ground is to first pick a target for his attack, and draw them towards his location so that he knows that they would be moving over to where he is specifically. In an instant, Bula will release a tonne of ethernano at once to allow the Liquid Ground spell to be activated as fast as it can so that Bula can dispose of the enemy quickly, where two ways that this attack can lead to. Option one is that once the enemy has stepped into Bula's trap he can instantly cast Solid Ground to speed up the solidification of the Liquid Ground to entrap his enemies, where they will be in position and cannot move as Bula sends out more and more attacks as they are trapped. But a more sadistic way that he can do this is through option two where he allows the enemy to sink all the way down as they drown in the muddy quicksand before Bula buries them in solid rock.
  • Solid Ground: The complete opposite Earth Magic spell to Liquid Ground, it should be pretty obvious what Solid Ground does by the sounds of it, as it quickly and speedily solidifies earthern material such as mud or wet ground to create a rock solid surface that is hard to break through. Bula exerts his ethernano magic particles into the less solid surface material as it quickly hardens up, allowing the sirface material to in turn also harden up as it becomes extremely stronger, much more stronger than even what it used to be as it makes it harder for enemies to break through. Though commonly used for solidifying earthen materials, Bula has demonstarted that it can also be used on already hard surfaces, as it greatly enhances the solidity and density of the rocky surface, making Bula's Rock Walls extremely tough and hard to get though as it becomes nearly impenetrable. There are many ways that Bula can utilise this magic but his favourite way is to utilise Solid Ground with it's counterpart Liquid Ground. First Bula has to first pick a target for his attack, and draw them towards his location so that he knows that they would be moving over to where he is specifically. In an instant, Bula will release a tonne of ethernano at once to allow the Liquid Ground spell to be activated as fast as it can so that Bula can dispose of the enemy quickly, where two ways that this attack can lead to. Once the enemy has stepped into Bula's trap he can instantly cast Solid Ground to speed up the solidification of the Liquid Ground to entrap his enemies, where they will be in position and cannot move as Bula sends out more and more attacks as they are trapped. But also another way is to counter spells that plan to weaken the density of the ground like obviously Liquid Ground and other enviornemnt changing spells that may irritate Bula.
  • Diver (ダイバー Daibā): Bula can dig undeground holes and tunnel through it. This magic allows him to go through hard rock like it is just water. As mentioned, Bula will almost effortlessly swim through the ground when using Diver as he glides through the rock and underneath enemies to quickly escape from them, even utilising diver to pull enemies down into the rock with him where he can finish them off where others cannot see them. Diver when combined with Liquid Ground allows Bula to escape the earthen spell, rendering what would seem to be the most advantageous spell useless aainst Bula. Like said, Bula mostly uses Diver in order to stalk his enemies ro escape from them as he tunnels his way around the ground, making it hard for enemies to attack him since they cannot see where Bula actually is underneath the surface, making Diver a good spell to surprise attack enemies that do not focus on the movement of the ground. The appearance of Diver on the outside surface of the ground is nill as there is nothing to show that Bula is waiting underneath the ground before making a large hole for Bula to jump out of. It is also shown that users of the Diver spell can use Diver to create more holes underneath several enemies, as to make them fall into the ground as Bula speeds underneath them, causing them to plunge into the hole made by Bula as he comes back to the surface with noone there to confront him, mostly because he had sent all of them underground. There can be limitations to the Diver spell however, as Bula cannot travel through ground where Bula's Earth Magic spell Solid Ground has taken place, due to how much stronger and denser the ground has become almost too powerful for the likes of Bula, where he is no restricted of his capabilities.
  • Earth Statues:
  • Rock Wall:
  • Terra's Strike: With a single hand, Bula can manipulate the earthen surfaces around him to form long outreaching punches that shoot out from the ground and hit anything in it's way, commonly used to force foes back or to topple over larger slow moving enemies such as heavy metal tanks and such. This kind of attack can reach metres before reaching it's limit, though it is still an extremely far distance as Bula can take down enemies miles from his location, sending numerous Terra's Strikes at enemies before they even reach him. Bula's control over Terra's Strike is something of an awe to look at, for he can create tens to hundreds of Terra's Strikes with a single hand, forcing back many enemies at the same time as he effortlessly crushes opponents with the flick of his hand. Another good combination with Solid Ground, there are many ways that Bula can use this spell to it's advantage, both defensive and offensively. Defensively is can be decribed by one of Bula's most used techniques with Terra's Strike, by blocking off entrances and exits by first causing numerous Terra's Strikes to shoot out from the ground and into the air, from the ground to the ceiling where Bula proceeds to use Solid Ground to harden up the barricade as it gives Bula more than enough time to escape, using it as sort of a second hand Rock Wall. Though offesnivley is something even more, as his capability of using Terra's Strike with only one hand comes in handy for this attack, that utilises both his han casting Terra's Strike. Starting off, Bula must first find his target's whereabouts, because obviously Bula must use this attack on an enemy or else it would just be a waste of energy, which he can do using some sort of magic that allows him to locate the presence of other mages. Bula then proceeds to swipe both his hands diagonally upward, as several Terra's Stikes come rushing from both sids of the target as they violently crush the being in the middle with amazing speed, aimed to collide into eachother giving the enemy little to no time to react to this sudden attack.
    • Terra's Sharpened Strike:
  • Dust Coat:
  • Terracotta Coffin: Forming the ground underneath enemies, Bula can rise the ground as to consume the being ontop of it, effectively concealing the enemy in a rock solid, stone coffin where enemies entrapped in the spell are taken the rights of air as they slowly suffocate. One of his more offensive attacks, Bula utilises this spell to instantly apprehend criminals in order to keep them in place if he doesn't feel like using the Liquid Ground and Solid Ground combination attack, as this way enemies are losing air instead of only just being trapped. Weaker mages that do not suceed in raw brutish strength may find this spell to be more of a problem than other mages, as Terracotta Coffin also limits the room of the enemy as it completely creates an extremely solid and dense rock layer around the enemy, making sort of like a statue of them that is stuck in place. Not even spells can break through this rock in a single hit as it requires much more power to be able to at least chip through the rocky coffin, but this is a whole new story once Bula combines Terracotta Coffin with Solid Ground, as with the enhanced density and solidity of the rock, the enemy within the rock coffin is basically lost. A more dangerous spell, Bula needs to make sure that he doesn't suffocate them of too much oxygen, but only enough that they pass out and Bula can freely collect their passed out body, unless he's feeling a bit more sinful than he usually is, in which case he would litrelly make them the enemy's coffin as he sadistically lets them choke out of air and slowly die. Bula has shown that he can entrap five people at the maximum with this spell and so any mroe number of that his magic power wouldn't be enough to span to six and more enemy mages, focing him to only use this spell on two people at the max at the same time to ensure that he still has enough magic power to continue the fight.

Barrier Magic

Barrier Magic (バリアの魔法 Baria no Mahō) is a Caster Type Magic where the user is capable of manifesting their magical energy as a shield in order to defend against the attacks of the enemy. In order to do so, the user allows their magical energy to flow into their hands; which projects a field of magical force which they can manipulate into a number of relatively simple forms: rectangular planes, cylinders, globes, domes, cones, etc; it is an extremely powerful form of defense. The complexity of the shape is limited by the user's ability to imagine, as in, mentally visualize a particular form and keep it in sharp mental focus: not even the user is able to see the forms that they create. The size of a given magical force projection is also limited by the user's ability to imagine. The smallest force projection they can visualize and maintain the visualization is the size of a marble. The largest solid force projection they can visualize and maintain is about 100 feet in diameter. The user can project larger force-objects if they are hollow. For instance, they could visualize and project a dome 1 foot thick about a mile in diameter (5,280 feet) and a dome 1 inch in thickness the user can project for about 3.2 miles. Small objects at high speeds become missiles; large objects at slow speeds become rams. The user can make these objects grow or shrink as desired. Thanks to striking the barriers, it can cause a powerful backlash that damages the opponent's muscles in such a way that it leaves no scars or damage; besides the damage that was inflicted- without being capable of healing from the damage done. In any case, the barriers can be very complex and elaborate barriers, or very simple shaped barriers such as circles or squares. These barriers can also hide the presence of the things it coats or even make the target invisible. However, Barrier Magic is difficult to use has it can only manipulate so many magical particles at a time and it required precise timing. However, despite being far more advanced than any other barrier, it still suffers from magical draining. The barrier can only be used for a total of 105 seconds and requires 120 seconds to cool down. If the user has no other defensive measures this leaves a window of 15 seconds where they have no defense against attacks.

  • SimpleShield
Simple Magic Shield (シンプルマジックシールド Shinpurumajikkushīrudo) like it says in the name is the most basic of Barrier spells a user is able to learn, although it does take some magic depending on how big one would want the magic barrier to be in order to protect more area. A Simple Magic Shield has the ability to successfully block both magic attacks as well as physical weaponry to ensure that those behind it do not get hit by the used item, as the shield is programmed to instantly harden up upon impact of a magic projectile or physical weapon on contact with the magic. The tint of the Simple Magic Shield can depend on what kind of skill and technique the user of the barrier magic has, represented such as Uepon using a near transparent shield that is extremely difficult to see from a distance, and there have been mages who were able to conjure up orange and even red barriers which are mostly unheard of within the community of users. The magic that is projected into the shield blast apart upon contact as the fall off the sheild with ease, where as a physical weapon attacking the shield would simply be knocked back forcing the wielder to bounce off from the shield. Simple Magic Shield can also depend on the magic inserted into the spell though however, users do not put large quantities into the shield due to the limit of how big and thick the shield can get. Simple Magic Shields are recommended to be used against short bursts of projected magic such as Bullet magic projectiles and similar to them as the density of the shield is only able to withstand smaller projectiles and normal physcial slashes, stabs, thrusts and what not. To advance to a higher tier of the Magic Shield spells, one must have been able to exert alot more ethernano and magic power into the spell as well as having a good amount of experience with the magic.
  • AdvancedShield
Advanced Magic Shield (アドバンスドマジックシールド Adobansudomajikkushīru) a step up from Simple Magic Shield, Advanced Magic Shield is alot more powerful and defensive when casted due to the amount of magic power and energy that was concentrated into the magic shield, resulting into a much powerful level of barrier magic that those well experience are able to conjure up. Much more dense and durable than it's simple cousin, Advanced Magic Shield has the ability to block larger scaled attacks such as more powerful magical projectiles such as magic beams, spells that include a high mass amount of magic power into a melee strike and can even block now heavier and much more thicker physical things like cannonballs and even huge giagntic blades used by the incredibly strong mages throughout the land. Reaching this level, Advanced Magic Shield has the upgraded durability to even face against the almight powerful Dragon Roars however, these Slayer Magics (Any slayer magic that involves a roar or similair) can only be composed of only one element alone, as the shield isn't strong enough to deal with the combined power of two magic elemnts in one full strike, meaning those that enter a dual elemntal mode or dragon magic may have the upperhand must Multo be using advanced Magic Shield. The Advanced Magic Shield always takes on a purple tinge no matter how well trained and whatever you are at Barrier Magic. Uepon is exceptionally well at casting this as his substantial and near endless amount of magic energy allows him to keep the shield up as much as he wants however, this means that he cannot move from his position as users of Advanced Shield Magic must stay in place for them to concentrate on the spell being kept up.

Sound Magic

Sound Magic (サウンド・マジック, Saundo Majikku) is an Elemental Magic and Caster Magic which revolves around the manipulation of sound. This magic allows the user to perceive, generate and manipulate any type of sound, attacking the opponents with sounds of various intensity. The way that Sound Magic is initiated is by the user projecting their magical energy outwards through their mouth with a yell or even a whisper, causing the magical energy to react with the ambient eternano within the atmosphere, triggering the usual fusion to manifest a spell—but in this case, it will produce the sound-manipulating effects that the user desires. With it, the user can create and modify sound waves to mimic, intensify, hush, and distort, as well warp, strengthen, echo, speed up, and slow down sound, using it as powerful physical force and high-speed movement. The user can create powerful sound waves from any part of their body or anywhere in the nearby surroundings, making it effective for mid-range to long-range combat. With it, the user is able to increase sounds, for example when they use their power, it allows them to increase the sound of their voice to be so powerful that it can create craters and move heavy objects. Depending on how much sound is generated, and the pressure in it, Sound Magic can easily deafen the user's opponents. In addition, the sound waves can even be strong enough to destroy buildings with ease and can kill multiple people. A proper use of this magic is to hear a person's very soul, allowing the user to tell if they are scared, what are they going to do next, and even their thoughts. This ability is so accurate that it was actually confused as mind reading; though this only seems to work when the person's "voice" they are listening to is thinking, or has memories. Sound Magic produces high-speed vibrations which can be applied to several techniques. This can be applied into many situations, including the ability to enhance the cutting power of her blade or activating a high-pitched sound which can disable any opponent. With Sound Magic, the user can enhance sounds, dull them, or even erase them completely—this extends to voices and the "crackling" sound of eternano being merged with a magician's magical power to form their spells, effectively slowing the produce of the opponent's spell, giving the user a distinct advantage. The user is also able to increase their speed to incredible levels to the point where they are able to move at the speed of sound; when adding their spell speed into the mixture, they moe so fast that it is an inevitability that the opponent will be unable to track their movements, let alone hit them. Sound Magic produces high-speed vibrations which can be applied to several techniques. This can be applied into many situations, including the ability to enhance the cutting power of their blade or activating a high-pitched sound which can disable any opponent. The user can affect music as well as produce it. At low frequencies, sound is potentially fatal to living beings by causing internal damage, while high frequencies cannot be heard by normal humans but can be used for sonar-like effects. Since sound vibrations can travel through the air, ground, water and any form of medium, defense by using physical barriers is difficult. The vibrations can also affect at a molecular level. In essence, sound is an invisible, deadly weapon and a versatile tool. Taking the simple power of manipulating various sounds further, the user is capable of exaggerating these properties, in order to grant them the ability to do all the same, but on a vastly greater scale. This allows them to emit sonic booms from their body, silence the area so that not even a single sound will escape, and allow various objects, or even people, to become "soundproof"—in other words, they can make themselves or their target immune to sound in its entirety.

Eye Magic

Eye Magic (目魔法 Me Mahou) is a form of magic that utilizes one's eyes as the catalyst in order to produce a variety of effects. It is usually used as a supplementary or secondary magic to aid the user with their primary magic or give them an added ability. There are many forms of Eye Magic that all have specific uses to aid the caster in various pursuits. The basic principle behind all forms of Eye Magic is harnessing Ethernano in one's eyes to aid them in casting. Although this magic is easy to learn it can be incredibly powerful if used correctly. Eye Magic is a very versatile magic with several subtypes all with unique purposes that allow casters to do a plethora of things which makes this magic one of the most widespread.

  • Heaven's Eye (天眼 Tengan) is a Caster Magic and a type of Eye Magic which allows the user to see over long distances, giving them the ability to see through solid objects, thereby allowing one to track enemies with relative ease. Bula combines this with his Earth Magic to first locate his enemies with his Heaven's Eye, then subsequently attacking them with his Earth Magic. This very combination is one of Bula's favourite kinds of attacks, as he enjoys fighting in areas filled with rocky terrain, an area where he is stronger than other enviornemnts due to his speciality in Earth Magic

Mystan Steel Sword (ミスタンスチールソード Misutansuchīrusōdo) are the standard issue blades given to all Mystan soldiers who operate in the country of Mys, and have no real magical component to them as the use of ethernano in Mys is rarely used compared to it's presence in Ishgar. All personnel within the Mystan Government are required to carry and own a Mystan Steel Sword which are created with steel alloys which pretty much most of the blade really is, with just a few added details there really isn't anything special about the Mystan Steel Sword. Nearing the hilt of the sword, the designs seem to be a absurd mix of both the Mystan Language and the Ethernano Spirit Language, which was one of the earliest known languages in the entire universe. According to Mystan translaters, the blade's mysterious etchings seem to say "Ever-lasting Life to Our Emperor", which makes sense as the production of the Mystan Steel Sword only started when Ulo Hogi, the emperor of Mys began his conquest to unite the countries of the continent for the Mystan Government to rule over, but it is uncertain on who came up with the etchings. Besides the double edged blade, users of the Mystan Steel Sword can also resort to using the hilt for stabbing attacks, as the design of the hilt has added spikes to the sides to not only act as a crossguard but to also act as a secondary stabbing weapon which is intended if the user is up close to his enemy. Moving onto the handle, the Mystan Steel Sword has a really good grip that soldiers can hold onto with ease without losing their hold of the sword's handle, which is done by making the grip of the handle a material known as Shagreen. The pommel of the sword which is the bottom of the handle can also be used for attacking as well, as the design of the pommel has made it so that it can be used for blunt attacks such as smashing over the head of a victim or similair good stuff like that. Many Mystan soldiers who had learned the Art of the Mystan Monks utilise both their magic in partnership with their blades, making an excellent combination as magic and steel clash against the enemy, with some even having learned Manus spells that have the ability of enhancing the blade's performance.

Physical Abilities

Magical Aura (魔力の霊気, Maryoku no Reiki) A Magical Aura is a common term given to the exertion of magical energy into a form outside of Uepon's body that isn't used in the formation of spells. It has been demonstrated by various mages of varying potency, and is a common means of intimidation. A magical aura is created when the body's container of Eternano particles exceeds the limits of what it contains, or is purposefully released by Uepon. Upon doing so, the magical energy surges around the body and is exerted outwards in the form of an aura, which holds considerable pressure surrounding it. Depending on the level of magical power one possesses and the control behind it, it can be used as a means to intimidate another individual, or as a preparation for a powerful spell. A single magical aura can have a wide variety of effects dependent on the power an individual exerts, which will be outlined in the following sections. A standard aura is produced by mages with a moderate level of magical power within their body. By exerting it outward, it forms a thin layer of pressure that can cause one to be intimidated if they aren't a mage, or if they are a rather weak mage. This is generally demonstrated by individuals of S-Class strength when they are holding back, or when standard mages are showing that they are entering their full reserves of power. It should be noted that the density of this aura, by a S-Class mage, can cause physical attacks to be repelled with notable ease.

Ki no Michi (木の道, Ki no Michi lit. "The Way of the Tree") is a martial arts style created by the monks of the Minstrel Mountains. It is said that the monks created it to be an integration of their martial arts practices and the personal expression of their philosophy to "live like that of a tree. Staying sturdy with deep roots, even in the face of a growing storm or scorching sun." This fast paced, flexible style of martial arts focuses on neutralizing an attack early on or using Mago momentum and predicted trajectory to dodge said attack for a counter. It emphasizes a majority of throwing techniques and joint manipulations, although the use of a mages Ki, later realized to be eternano, is of great importance when delivering an effective block or counter. Also of particular importance is the timing of a defensive technique, either to blend or to neutralize an attack's effectiveness and to use the force of the attacker's movement against him. This means that a mage must be of fast body and mind in order to read an opponents intentions and movements in order to effectively block.

  • God Cedar Cranial Descent (神杉頭蓋降下, Kamisugi Tōgai Kōka): Working best as in immediate counter move to follow an opponent's momentum, however, this move does require a great deal of strength to aid in the execution. As an opponent comes in for an attack, the mage will target the leading foot and scoop one the opponents thighs with their free hand. Using the opponents momentum to aid in their ascension, the mage will lift their opponent upside down so that their head is the closest point of contact to the earth. The mage will then proceed to drop to their side or back, driving the opponent into the earth on their neck and shoulders, or on the top of their head. If executed properly this move will follow one fluid motion and can leave the opponent with severe dizziness, a concussion, cracked cranium, paralysis, or even death if the opponent happens to land in such a way.
  • Great Banyan Dance (大きなガジュマルの踊り, Ōkina Gajumaru no Dansu): Beginning with an ethernano pulse from a low rise kick to the opponent's sternum, a mage is effectively knocked up into the air. Afterwards, the practitioner's moves will differ based on the opening they see. They will typically swivel gracefully to land a kick to the left side of their opponent. This will shift the opponents center of gravity on their fall to cause them fall on their side. On the opponents decent, a backhand strike to the face will shift the opponent's body to be parallel with the ground. It finishes with a ethernano infused punch to the gut upon the opponents impact with the ground. This final blow has been seen to break ribs, and never fails to knock the wind straight out of their lungs. Mages have been seen infusing their own magic into the hits to make this dance much more lethal and powerful.
  • Jaya Sri Maha Kick (ジャヤスリマハキック, Jayasurimahakikku): Once the practitioner is able to see an opening, they focus a great deal of ethernano into their leg for power, while also maintaining their center of balance and delivers a kick at the opponent's weak spot. The only major weakness of this technique is that Uepon has to focus a great deal of ethernano into their legs, forcing them to lower the power given to their arms; this can be covered by an X guarded stance, or use the free leg to block as well. With the swiftness and power concentrated into the leg, this is easily break bones if an opponent holds no defensive protection. This is also a versatile skill that can be used to launch a practitioner into the air with a vertical distance of 45 feet.
  • Jōmon Sugi Thrust (縄文杉の推力, Jōmon Sugi no Suiryoku): This technique begins with an open palm uppercut to the opponent's chin at close range. Once the hand is placed against the opponent's chin, the free hand is then used to strike the connected elbow. The force created from both hands is now behind a single point that's in contact with the opponent's chin. Since the hand is already in contact with the opponent's chin, they won't be able to evade the second hit. This is a skillful move to evade a grasp, as your opponent is within range and would not be able to stand the backward force to their spinal column without releasing their hold.
  • Chankiri Revenge (チャンキリ復讐, Chankiri Fukushū): With one arm cocked back, and the other extended forward, the practioner throws a punch from the drawn-arrow stance. The mage delivers an swift punch forward to the chest, using a pulse of ethernano to knock the wind out of the chest. A swift turn of the hips will send the other hand to dig into the heart with wrist bent and elbow facing downward. The end result can lead to cardiac arrest from blunt trauma to the heart. This move does take a great skill of precision to deliver the second blow through the spacing of the ribs. So a mage must practice on a multitude of targets before delivering such a fatal blow.
  • Kannimara Chord Cut (カニマラコードカット, Kanimara Kōdokatto): while in a fighting stance, the lead fist is thrown straight ahead and the arm is fully extended. With fingers extended outward, Bula covers their hand in a coat of ethernano; at the moment of impact, the pronated hand is generally held in a horizontal orientation with the palm facing the ground. The power of this attack comes from it's ability to cut the vessels of it's opponent when executed with enough force. Using two fingers can cut off blood flow until the pressure is released, three can cause severe bruising, four fingers can cut superficial nerves and vessels, and 5 finger can damage muscle fibers.
  • Tembusu Mania Blitz (テンブスブリッツマニア, Tenbusu Burittsumania): This strike follows a downward push of the target's own strike by applying fierce pressure to the joint's of the target's striking limb and causing it to lose it's consecutive momentum. Afterwards, fighter had to stiff his body to it's utmost limits on the moment of impact. When the practitioner uses it at the right moment in a strike, all of his joints will be fixed. Although difficult, if done correctly, they will strike with the weight of their whole body. When the strike is covered in ethernano, and comes in contact with the water that makes up the human body, it sends a shock wave through the body that can temporarily paralyze the target.

Piguàquán (, Piguakuan lit. Chop-Hanging Fist), also referred to as Piguàzhǎng (, Piguachan lit. Chop-Hanging Palm) is the name of a form of martial arts which is focused around the use of palm strikes and explosive, long-range power. Piguàquán is a martial art which revolves around the use of palm strikes. Piguàquán is more often than not initiated by the martial artist whom wields its power assuming particular fighting stances, such as bending their knees and diagonally stretching their arms upwards, allowing them to assault foes with great force and accuracy with whipping motions from their heavy hands which are augmented by using all of the body's mass. The majority of the power of Piguàquán is derived from the forward surging kinetic forces produced by the user's arms as they accelerate forth while rotating – the user allows the laws of the world, such as gravity and momentum lead their hands forwards, keeping their arms relaxed while striking as to give the user the feeling of being light as a feather whereas their hands are as heavy as steel. As a martial art, Piguàquán's main purpose is that of unbalancing, throwing the opponent off-guard and open to attacks through strikes, locks, grappling, throws, and takedowns – however, striking is more often not the best "weapon" in a user's arsenal.

  • Dān Pī Zhǎng (, Danpaichan lit. Single Splitting Palm): Dān Pī Zhǎng is a basic Piguàquán technique which involves the user lashing out with a single palm strike. When performing this technique, the user focuses for the briefest of moments, before striking outwards with an open palm that shoots forth like a bullet with a relaxed motion that's also quite limited as to ensure that the movement of the palm packs such a velocity that very few indicators of it beginning can be perceived even by the keenest of eyes; and while being launched towards the opponent, the user's arm rotates rather swiftly, generating a powerful force that grants the user's arm incredible penetrative and destructive power while still deceiving the enemy through its movements being as free as a river, giving off the visage of a lashing whip speeding towards the opponent. The motion also causes a rather prominent upsurge of gravel and the like from below the user as an exemplary trait of its incredible power and speed – with the force produced by the technique focused upon the striking open palm of the user, the attack connects with the user's target, producing incredible power that deals an enormous amount of damage, commonly winding the opponent if not straight-up blowing them away. The Dān Pī Zhǎng, as a Piguàquán technique, is capable of being utilized in various methods, such as the stationary manner, when the user is advancing, throwing the opponent alongside the move, bolstering the move with an uppercutting motion, evading and then striking, and stepping around the enemy before striking.

Reduced Earth (縮地, Shukuchi) is a basic high-speed movement technique, developed long before magic became commonplace; effectively, through the user slamming their foot upon earth ten times in a split second, they are capable of kicking off the ground in the blink of an eye and live up to the technique's name of "reduced earth" as the technique shrinks the distance between the user and their target in a split second. When performing Reduced Earth, the user focuses the majority of their body weight to one of their legs of the briefest of moments, before stomping the foot where most of their weight is focused upon the solid surface of where the user is standing at a rapid velocity before shifting the weight back to the rest of their frame, generating enough thrust to propel the user forward at incredible speeds, at least akin to a master of High Speed and defying the abilities of Slowing Magic; accelerating at velocities that are almost untraceable to reach short or long distances near instantaneously- it should be taken into consideration that in order to perform the technique at all, the user requires a solid surface to kick into and thus produce enough thrust. According to the untrained eyes of those watching on while the user performs this technique, more often than not it appears as if the user has effectively teleported using sheer power and speed alone, moving faster than anyone is capable of following as they seem to reduce the earth between the themselves and the opponent in the blink of an eye.

  • Afterimage Reduced Earth (残像縮地, Zanzō Shukuchi): A variant of the bog-standard Reduced Earth high-speed movement technique- Afterimage Reduced Earth, as the name would suggest, it allows the user to produce various afterimages while in motion. When performing Afterimage Reduced Earth, the user increases the amount of times they slam their foot down upon a solid surface from ten times in a row to fifteen- this produces much more thrust, which, while it doesn't increase the user's speed when inducing the technique as it logically should, it does have an arguably more useful function-the sheer thrust produced results in the user's swift physical movements instead form an intangible and transparent distorted decoy-like doppelganger of the user that follows their movements in accordance, remaining behind them at varying distances for the duration of the Reduced Earth technique. By themselves, the afterimages produced by this iteration of the high-speed movement are incapable of acting out of their own "will" autonomously, but rather, are an indication of the velocity that the user is moving at despite no real change in movement speed- however, that's where its true utility lies at. The afterimages produced by Afterimage Reduced Earth are capable of confounding opponents who are unable to follow the user's movements; often, it is common for an opponent to attack an afterimage in the belief that the decoy is the real deal and they are about to land a killing blow, only for it to vanish and scatter harmlessly to the winds, whereas the actual user appears somewhere else, commonly flanking the enemy's side while giving no indication of their movements, allowing the user to counterattack instantly with very little opportunity for the opponent to evade the incoming strike.
  • Water Walk Reduced Earth (水歩縮地, Suipo Shukuchi): Water Walk Reduced Earth is a variant of the normal Reduced Earth technique, which, as the name would ever-so-subtly suggest, enables the user to apply the Reduced Earth ability upon the surface of water, effectively allowing them walk, or rather, dash, on water just like some other guy used to do. When performing Water Walk Reduced Earth, the user, upon any body of water that appears as if it could support a person, allowing them to shift the majority of their bodily weight to one of their feet and kick down ten times in the blink of an eye before their body becomes submerged within the water, inducing a high-speed dash that propels themselves forward in the blink of an eye. When Water Walk Reduced Earth is activated, it effectively simulates the experience of simply performing the regular Reduced Earth on a surface, with the user's motions treating the watery body beneath their feet as if it were a solid instead of the actual liquid state that it is, calmly and swiftly moving across the water- while Water Walk Reduced Earth is engaged, anything across and below the water's surface is instantly repelled, as droplets and waves does not splash across the user's body as their motions step on the water, and any threatening animal such as a goddamn shark is knocked back down to the depths if it attempts to take a chunk out of an unsuspecting user; however, once the technique is disengaged, water physics return to normal and the user can be left vulnerable.

  • Wavejet Step (本職使い瞬動・噴射高速蹲踞疾走ウェーブジェット・ステップ, Uēbujetto Suteppu lit. Professional-Usage Instant Movement Technique: Jet-Propelled High-Speed Crouching Sprint): The Wavejet Step is a very useful high-speed movement technique that is classified as a martial arts-based ability revolving around the user's steps that can be performed as long as the user has some sort of supernatural energy fuelling their movements, whether it be magical power, curse power, or even good ol' fighting spirit- but what Wavejet Step is, is a jump that is canceled by descending instantly so that the user never leaves the ground, resulting in a sliding motion that produces smoke at the user's feet and a freakishly swift burst of brief acceleration for three seconds. It is regarded as a high-level advanced technique that only those deeply engrossed with close-range combat that is superior to all 'traditional' forms of speed-enhancing powers such as High Speed and Slowing Magic because it allows the user to perform any ground action while moving horizontally on the ground. In any case, the Wavejet Step is performed by the user ascending to the skies in an extremely short hop that ideally shouldn't have them raise more than ten centimeters above the ground- from here, the user gathers and condenses their supernatural energies of choice upon the soles of their shoes/feet, before they shift a majority of their weight to their legs, descending upon the ground as swiftly as they entered the air, giving off the appearance of never having left the ground- but indeed, upon contact with the ground, the shock of the impact releases an airhorn-like sound as it transfers the momentum that the user had accumulated via briefly hopping into the air into a swift strafing movement of ground-based movement, sliding long the ground without walking or running; resulting in a sliding motion that produces smoke of varying colours at the character's feet. The length of time that a user slides by harnessing Wavejet Step is determined by a number of factors: by the angle at which they charged energies into their feet -with low angles yielding longer Wavejet Steps- how close to the ground they were before charging -the closer the user, the longer their Wavejet Step- and finally, the character's traction -low traction yields long streams of movements, while high traction yields shorter slides. One use of Wavejet Step by itself is not particularly useful; it is when the move is repeated rapidly that it becomes both impressive and supremely practical, and it is capable of being harnessed for a near immeasurable amount of purposes- it is useful for quickly escaping from close combat with an opponent, and it can get a user to the end of an area to the other faster than any other type of movement; the Wavejet Step can also be harnessed in order to avoid anything in the user's way that would impede their movements, enabling each and every one of their actions and movements while under the effect of the Wavejet Step being precise as humanly possible. It can lead into many combos and techniques; and because by harnessing the Wavejet Step, the user is technically standing as they slide, they can perform any ground attacks that could normally be performed from a standing position while retaining all of their standing defensive maneuvers- a skilled user can use another high-speed movement while under the effects of the Wavejet Step as well. A skilled user can take the concept of maneuverability derived from the Wavejet Step a step further, harnessing the techniques to dodge enemy attacks and set up a counterattack; after a while, it becomes instrumental in characters' combos and their defense. Those who are slow can rely on the Wavejet Step in order to extricate themselves from difficult situations. Additionally, the concept of hopping into the air before descending instantly towards the ground provides a useful segue from a character's aerial combat to their basic ground combat. However, Wavejet Step can be interrupted, but mind-games and mix-ups can trick the opponent. All of this combined to make harnessing the Wavejet Step a very rapid mind-game aspect that is difficult to counter; generally, a fighter harnessing the Wavejet Step in rapid succession means that they possess above-average skills.
  • Boundless Speed-of-Sound Reduced Earth (无疆音速縮地, Mukyō-Onsoku Shukuchi): Boundless Speed-of-Sound Reduced Earth is a variant of Reduced Earth- no, it is the highest point of progression for the Reduced Earth technique, being touted as the "supreme form of ultimate speed" without any drastic modifications to the technique; and can only be used by a true master of the ability of "Reduced Earth"; effectively, it enables the user to move at the speed of sound, leaving a sonic boom in their wake. When performing Boundless Speed-of-Sound Reduced Earth, the user assumes the position of crouching their knees, leaning forward before they induce the usual Reduced Earth motions by transferring a majority of their weight into one of the feet, before kicking down on a solid surface- only in the case of this version, the user only kicks down nine times rapidly; after this point, the user performs a small hop up and down, dragging out the noise released by their foot slamming against the surface so that the sound of their feet smashing upon the ground isn't heard until after their feet have left the surface once more. Once the sound lag has reached the pinnacle of its existence, the user leaps forward with what appears to be the normal Reduced Earth motions, producing a powerful sonic boom that results in a shockwave resonating throughout the area, destroying anything that the sonic boom comes into contact with, uprooting trees and demolishing everything that its area-of-effect touches, effectively destroying anything in-front and behind the user with a powerful echo. The motion itself propels the user at five times boosted the regular speed of Reduced Earth, almost invisible to the naked eye at a velocity that gives the user the appearance of a supersonic bullet shooting towards the enemy at the speed of sound as the name would suggest; propelling themselves towards their target at inconceivable speeds, dashing across the battlefield while gliding over the ground. Because when inducing Boundless Speed-of-Sound Reduced Earth, the user moves faster than the eye can see, the opponent won't be able to react until after the user has already hit them. Unlike other iterations of Reduced Earth, the velocity gained by utilizing the Boundless Speed-of-Sound Reduced Earth technique also increases the user's strength considerably for the duration of the movement; allowing a user to defeat an opponent in one blow depending on the foe's strength level. This speed produced by this version of Reduced Earth is noted to be something completely different than mere speed-enhancing techniques; in fact, a "teleportation beyond teleportation".

Expert Swordsman

  • Sword Pressure (剣圧, Ken'atsu): When performing the Sword Pressure technique, the user swings forward with their sword, swinging the blade so swiftly that it seems that the user is able to utilize air itself to slice enemies, focusing a current of wind to the point where it takes on a sharp edge, which the user launches at foes; sending it through the air towards the user's enemy. It is a powerful blade of pressure that appears as faint ripples of wind that is launched towards the foe at high speeds; this attack enables the user to assault things which are out of their sword's range, sending slashes which fly through the air itself; and can even remain floating in it until the right moment to slash. The person struck by the sword pressure is assaulted by countless invisible blades which happens so fast that they would normally be unable to properly react in time, carving up their body. Also, the strong wind power will blow away all incoming projectile weapons and will even make the opponent unable to stay on their feet; this technique possesses enough power to slice down many trees in a forest. This technique can deflect both physical and sound wave attacks and attack at the same time, making it both an offensive and defensive technique. These blades of wind possess incredible range and devastating power; and at its highest level of mastery, the sword pressure is capable of cutting through barriers of magical energy; and they can even remain floating within the air until the right minute to slash.
    • Sword Pressure: Blade Concealing Gale (剣圧・刃隠風, Ken'atsu: Jinkakupū): A special application of Sword Pressure. When performing this attack, the user gathers and condenses their magical power into one of their swords, before using it as a magnet of sorts in order to draw enormous amounts of air towards it—using Shape Transformation, the user molds it upon their blades, compressing multiple layers of wind into air of a super-high pressure onto the blade, which distorts the refraction of light and renders what's inside the multiple layers of wind invisible to the naked eye. The moment that the wind is molded upon the sword, it takes upon the shape of the armament and renders it as an invisible weapon that emits no secondary effect—not even sparks will fly off of it, and no clashing sound will be heard. The technique itself is known to be exceedingly simple in regards to its execution, but that, along with its effectiveness in combat, for the record, the winds compressed upon the sword are not a vacuum, so the air which is always whirling around the armament grants it a rather notable boost in power. Due to the slicing winds surrounding the armament, the damage emitted is increased, and so is the cutting power—and it also has the side-effect of being more difficult to evade, as the winds can expand their range at a moment's notice. However, its true purpose is what makes it so deadly—due to the sword being, well, invisible; it is indeed extremely difficult to counter for people whom are unfamiliar with the nature of the attack, as they are left unable to successfully defend themselves from a weapon which cannot be seen. The opponent would fail to analyze or discern the properties of the armament, which would leave them constantly on the defense against the user, relying only on their movements in order to develop a proper counter for their strikes—this causes them to become confused regarding the user's attacks and defending actions, and thus, they are required to stay out of the user's strike range in order to stop themselves from being defeated rather easily. Lastly, Sword Pressure: Blade Concealing Gale makes it possible to manifest the multiple layers of wind on something other than the user's weapon. For maximum effectiveness, Blade Concealing Gale is best utilized with a weapon that is capable of shifting its size, or a morphing weapon, adding another layer of unpredictability to this spell. At any time, the user is capable of releasing the layers of Blade Concealing Gale in order to activate one of two special attacks, as listed below.
      • Strike Gale (統帥風王の六重鉄槌ストライク・ゲイル, Sutoraiku Geiru lit. Sixfold Iron Hammer of the Supreme Commanding Wind King): Strike Gale is further extension of Sword Pressure: Blade Concealing Gale—when performing Strike Gale, the user releases the multiple layers of wind around the blade, causing the previously compressed wind to surge around their body chaotically, creating a vicious surge of air pressure as it diffuses into the air with enough force to knock people over and uproot trees with ease. The Strike Gale technique acts in a similar manner to a hammer which is composed purely of wind—the attack is capable of crushing and blowing away a multitude of people and it is also able to upturn asphalt with ease. Indeed, the air pressure unleashed by releasing the windy layers around the user blade take upon the form of large yet immensely sharp blades of wind which not only possess a large amount of pushing power, but they move so fast that the movements of the blades are invisible, and it truly seems like the user shoots their opponent with a bullet from all directions, except that the resulting impact is not akin to an actual pistol, but to a small hand-held cannon and powerful enough to propel the unlucky recipient several meters away. The incredible speed both makes the strike far more powerful, and harder to dodge; connecting instantly with the target. This attack possesses incredible power, able to tear through non-magical armours with relative ease. The hit of this technique will have more of an impact on actual magical defenses since it is sharper and larger than regular blades of Sword Pressure. It is a very useful technique that can connect rapidly and accurately, which works well with their impressive speed and agile techniques. Strike Gale serves as a medium-to-long range attack with a consistent amount of damage that isn't influenced by the user's physical condition of the magical energies left within their magic origin; while it is capable of being deflected normally, it is best defended against by using a high level of magical energy. What should be noted is that Strike Gale applies enough knockback to force opponents out of range and away from the user within seconds, and can then keep them away from the user without hope of getting near them due to how it doesn't cause flinching—though this will only last for a few moments. Interestingly, after unleashing Strike Gale, the user is capable of re-summoning their Sword Pressure: Blade Concealing Gale by compressing the surrounding air to reform the invisible barrier.
      • Slipstream Accel (高速上空鉄砲弾歩スリップストリーム・アクセル, Surippusutorīmu Akuseru lit. High Speed Upper Air Gunshot Stride): Slipstream Accel is further extension of Sword Pressure: Blade Concealing Gale—when performing Slipstream Accel, the user assumes the position of crouching their knees, leaning forward, and holding one of their blades in a behind stance, with both hands grasping the sword's grip- in this position, the user releases the multiple layers of wind around the blade, causing the previously compressed wind to surge around their body chaotically; when this is done, the user does a short hop up and down, dragging out the noise so that the sound of their feet tapping on the ground isn't heard until after their feet have left the floor again. Once the sound lag is at its fullest, the user leaps forward with a powerful forward boost while the user charges forward, accelerating their towards their opponent, enabling them to move at thrice their regular speed, if only momentarily. This movement is known to be at exceedingly high speeds; almost invisible to the naked eye at a velocity that gives them the appearance of a supersonic bullet shooting towards the enemy at the speed of sound; it produces a sonic boom that echoes outwards for several meters, destroying everything in front of and behind themselves, propelling the user into their opponent at inconceivable speeds. Because they move faster than the eye can see, the opponent won't be able to react until after the user has already hit them. Slipstream Accel is excellent for getting the jump on the opponent. If working together with another person, the partner can use the vacuum left behind by the attack to immediately rush in behind it by using the surge of air taken in by the vacuum as a Slipstream.
  • SwordBeam
Sword Beam (魔力剣波 (ソード・ビーム), Sōdo Bīmu lit. Magical Power Sword Wave) is one of the most basic Sword Magic spells to exist; while it is unknown, perhaps it is one of the first spells to be developed, as it is the basis for any magical attack that launches some sort of energy from a weapon; it allows the user to fire a wave of magical power from their sword. When performing the Sword Beam spell, the user infuses their sword with their magical energy, condensing it to its utmost limit, converging at a singular point—the tip of the sword; intensifying the kinetic energy that is about to be released by convergence and acceleration. This process can take from about half a second to a full minute, depending on the user's preferences or the properties of the blade; the caster is capable of compressing even more of their magical energy upon their sword to achieve a higher level of power. In any case, once this process has been completed, at the instant of the slash, the user swiftly releases the magical energy compressed upon the blade which magnifies the slash attack, unleashing it in the form of a wave of energy that flies forward at high speeds. The principal use of Sword Beam is to strike at adversaries outside of the sword's range, effectively nullifying the claim that swords are meant for close-range combat only. In any case, the Sword Beam spell, without any modifications, is extremely powerful, as it possesses great force that enables the user to unleash large-scale damage and destruction. Upon impact, the Sword Beam spell causes a large explosion with enough momentum to breach defenses; making it extremely powerful, ripping into the ground and destroying a very large prison building. A single swing of it is more than enough to disperse an entire rainstorm; as well as demolish a large radius of the surroundings and leave behind a huge crater in the wake of the attack. It can be utilized in many ways; striking at the ground allows the user to unleash the energy condensed upon their blade as an omnidirectional blade which can used as an impromptu shield for incoming attacks while upturning the earth before them; the debris of which crushes everything in its path. What should be noted is that the Sword Beam spell possesses homing properties; tracking the foe's heat signature in order to sniff them out and deal damage; curving until it reaches its destination; once fired, the user can move around as normal without any drawback. The attack requires about two seconds to travel a few hundred-kilometer distance, and the user can immediately fire the next attack after confirming a miss as long as they have magical energy left.
  • Heaven-Shaking Slash (動天斬, Dōtenzan) is a Sword Magic spell of considerable destructive power. The Heaven-Shaking Slash lives up to its name quite clearly; its a slash so powerful everything trembles in its wake. Unlike several Sword Magic spells, it can be utilized with any sword so long as the user is capable of manifesting the required energy to make use of it properly. The Heaven-Shaking Slash works by concentrating an excess of magical power into one's blade, creating surges of magical energy leaking out of the medium which the spell is being used from. From therein, the user makes a slash, generally vertical, against the opponent in question. The slash builds up an extraordinary amount of momentum from the movement that goes behind it, therefore releasing destructive shockwaves of kinetic energy which can slice through inanimate objects such as trees and even steel with some effort. While the spell is very powerful and effective, inappropriate use can easily lead to fatigue and unwanted destruction of the surrounding environment.
  • Sword Birth (無数刃の幻影創世ソード・バース, Sōdō Basū; lit. "Phantasmal Genesis of a Myriad Blades") is a Sword Magic spell of immense power, said to be one of Secret Arts (奥義, Ōgi) of swordsmanship; it allows a swordsman to accomplish a feat that no other thought was possible. It's mastered by a select few, with those being recognized as true master-class swordsman. The spell has been used throughout various instances in history — decimating the caster's opposition with ease and turning battlefields into desolate wastelands. It's because of this that the technique has been highly sought after, even in the modern era. It's known that there are variations of this technique used with other weapon-based magic — emulating the incredible power & versatility this one possesses. Also called the Thousand One-Blade Style of Ultimate Annihilation (千一刀流の杏都波, Senman Ittōryū no Kyōkuha) by many opponents due to the immense amount of damage it produces and using only blade as its catalyst. Said to be the penultimate of one's experience as a swordsman, it can be described as something as ethereal and phantasmal, while fearsome in both power and name. It's a technique that's only mastered by those who truly bonded with their sword to an extreme, completely becoming one with it in any given situation. It's a technique is versatile in nature and extremely fast that most don't have time to react, making it a potent surprise attack technique. the user first focuses magic power into their blade(s). Then, by imagining the radius of the area he wants to cover, they slams down the blade(s), forming a spell circle that encompasses said radius. Once that's done, the user activates the spell, causing numerous amount of copies of said sword(s) to violently burst from the ground, easily wiping out all within its range, making it indiscriminate to both allies and enemies alike. Each sword is said to carry half the power of the original, though powerful nonetheless. There have been few who've mastered this technique to such an extreme, thus there are none before and after them that can use it on the same scale has they currently can, or so it's believed. This technique can be used in a plethora of ways, going from mid-air combat to integrating it into their swordsmanship in order to give them the upper hand. They can also created many variations of this technique. One being that while in mid-air, by creating an arc, they can transform that single strike into a cascading wave of blades that shimmer into reality, launched at great speeds decimating all of its foes that are caught in the crossfire. It can also be used as an omnidirectional defense mechanism, creating a makeshift shield of blades that has enough power to easily disarm any foe that dares to stand up against it. A third variation seen is that they can cause the blades to easily multiply & increasingly oscillate every time they're destroyed at an astonishing rate, creating a distortion effect and can cause several forms of phenomena to happen, some not explainable by normal means. The possibilities of this technique are endless when wielded in the hands of a master. The current radius of this technique, while using minimum amount of magic power nonetheless, is five miles in total.
