Butch Magnus (ブチュ・マグヌス, Buchu Magunusu) is a member of the Dragon Soul, a guild made up of different variations of Dragon Slayers that have joined together in order to take on the entire world and prove that the Dragon Slayers are the superior beings in the entire world, despite Butch's only concern about fighting any great fight he can get. Originally considered to be a 1st Generation Dragon Slayer when he was still a young boy, Butch had been raised by his foster father, Dynamius who had found and loved him like a son until he had been killed and taken by a secret organization known as Shadow Broker who found Butch and took him away to be tested on for their own purposes. After freeing himself and returning to freedom, Butch went on to travel to different regions in order to find a fight that would give him the rush he was looking for, eventually finding out about Dragon Soul and wanted to fight them, only to be stopped and offered a position to join them in order to change the world. During his travel's and even know, he is known throughout most of the regions as the Black Iron Demon (黒鉄悪魔, Kurogane Akuma) due to his appearance when he uses his Iron Shadow Dragon Slayer Magic, which is a combination of his original learned Iron Dragon Slayer Magic and combined it with an implanted Lacirma that held Shadow Dragon Slayer Magic.
Appearance
Normal Appearance
"Stunning." "Handsome." "Attractive". These are some of the many things that describe Butch when many take a look at him for the first time. His hair, blacker than the darkest of shadows, being illuminated only by the moon's rays, is jutting out everywhere in an downward fashion, with the bangs crossing each other, partially-covering the bridge of his nose, with a few hairs parting from the right side. His skin, described as being smooth and gentle in texture, despite all the harsh battles he went through, is whitish-peach in color. It's a rare trait not found in most individuals making him a special case of sorts. The gentle is covered in tattoos. It encompasses his forearms, his thighs, shoulders, chest, parts of his ribcage, and under his eyes. The ones on his shoulders have a big circle, reminiscent to that of a full moon, with a crescent-shaped designed right under it, spaced out from each other. This is also where his guild mark is located, strangely. The ones on his chest are of two wave-like shapes nearly connecting to each other. The top design is bigger than the bottom one and both cover the nipple area. The one in the center chest area is different however. Being symmetrical, it takes the form of a double-pronged arrow pointing down. The forearms and thighs have the same design as each other. They both have two lightning bolt-shaped designs making a full circumference, connecting to each other. They're slanted quite a bit and the space between them is wide, not too much and not so little either. Lastly is his eyes. Eyes that's said to be as fierce as a wild beast on a rampage, being slanted in shape. Eyes described by many as solemn, being able to instill fear and respect into those who look into them. Under each is a branched design, being spaced from each other by mere inches. Being formed in the shape of an unusual triangle, the top left branches outward, ending near his eye's corner. The right is short and it's only reaches out within an inches length. The final one, being at the very bottom, branches southward, the length being incredibly longer than the rest. They're all blueish-purple in color. A small shade of purple also covers his eyelids, being curved near the end in an upward manner. His pupils is reminiscent to that of a Dragon itself, showing signs of bravery, experience, and vast amounts of wisdom. Some of his opponents even stated that they were once lost in them because of how magnificent they were. His physique, being well-toned and muscular, is admired by many. It's like a sculpture crafted by the hand of a master artisan, waiting to be shown off to the masses. Many men and women, whether enemy, ally or bystander, adore it with such a passion that wished that they could have it as their own. It's because of this that he was premiered in "The Wizard I'd Like To Be My Boyfriend" Rankings of the Sorcerer Magazine. His rank is unknown however, but it's hinted that he's in the top five, an impressive accomplishment to be sure.
The outfit that he wears is tailor-made. One that's high-class. This means that the materials used for its creation are high-class as well. The outfit he mainly takes the appearance of an army general. His black finger-less gloves, edge with golden linen, is made of a leathery substance. This substance is known to withstand any kind of damage from most forms of magic, being tested and used by the Rune Knights themselves for combat purposes in the past. It is unknown it fell into the public market, after it was classified as top-secret military equipment. It has proven to be one of Butch's most unique parts of his outfit, never going into a fight without them. His gray-colored combat boots, being studded around the edges, are made with special grips that are known to stick to any area without fail. One can scale vertical walls and any similar areas with ease using these special grips. The grips are very strong, durable, and powerful, lasting as long as a decade and still not show any form of wear. His pants are camouflage in design and green in color. They have many pockets edged at the sides, totaling to three on each side. It comes with a complimentary belt, studded with diamond-like substances, coming pairs covering the entire surface. The buckle is a metallic gold in color. He wears a sleeveless tunic, made from durable material not found anywhere else in the country of Fiore, hinting that it came from a faraway land. The designs on it are intricate, with the edges having black flames etched onto them. On the left side of his tunic is the insignia of his guild. His army trench coat, being the same design as his pants, is tied around his waist. It's made with material that can withstand any weather condition and can protect the user to a degree from incoming attacks. To top it all off, he wear a set of diamond earrings he got as a gift. They are fifteen carat, being crafted with the finest equipment known to the magical world. Thus they are the most prized possession that he carries on his person. Three studs are also seen in each of his ear, being located directly above his earrings. In short, Butch is one of the most attractively interesting characters in his guild and combined with his combat prowess, he has proven that he can battle any opponent and look good doing it.
Personality
As a young child, Butch was often seen to be carefree, often always wanting to explore and surround himself with anything that would be more interesting to him in nature. With his adopted father's help, he grew as a young dragon slayer, often hard-headed when it came to certain things, but always being calm whenever he saw how wondrous the natural world was and what things were in it. During the capture and death of his own father right in front of his eyes, Butch began to seclude himself away from anyone else, feeling a sense of torment and guilt for not being strong enough and for letting his father die right in front of him. During the experimentation done to him over the course of his childhood, Butch's psyche often began to try and recluse itself in order to not bare the incredible pain his physical body was enduring, but proved to be futile when he was often hit with different forms of mental experimentation as well, pushing his psyche to it's limits until it eventually broke, leaving behind a empty husk of what used to be Butch Magnus. Through the time he lost his sanity, Butch felt himself getting more and more immersed with the feeling of fighting, finding it to be a coping mechanism for the emptiness inside of him, resulting in the urge to continuously fight time and time again in order to acknowledge his existence.
As an Adult, Butch's personality had been shown to be nearly destructive at times, a form of psychotic style that often included with it as well, and even going as far as enjoying every single action of pain he does in order to savior the fight that he continuously has. In his mind, everything is a party and he can be as rough as he wants to, laughing the whole way through as he often does whenever he does anything that may bring him joy. However, in rare cases, Butch often finds himself bored of his nature, often returning to his once former personality of young Butch, but still keeping to himself as his fear of close relationships often force him to stay away from everyone he knows in Dragon Soul, until he finds boredom in calm and peaceful too and returns back to his chaotic and fighting hungry self.
Synopsis
History
Butch Magnus was born to a small group of farmer's in a nearby village, one that was said to have been going through a dangerous drought and ended up having to travel to relocate to a new area in order for their crops to grow more. However, during their travel, a band of Dark Mages came in and swam, killing off many of the people and taking their valuables. Raphael's mother went running into the forest as she had been stabbed and was trying desperately to find a place to hide, only to find herself slowly dying in a nearby cave. Her luck however changed when it turned out that a dragon by the name of Dynamius, had been living there and had found her before she passed away. She begged him to protect her child as Raphael's mother died with him in her hands, saddening the dragon as he killed the mages and took the baby into his care, raising him and showing him the ways of the Iron Dragon Slayer Magic.
At age five, Butch had been taught the many secrets of the Iron Shadow by his adopted father as he enjoyed the forest life and all it had to offer. However, that peace wouldn't last as one day after finishing his training, a swarm of black mages came rushing in, capturing Raphael and killing his own father right before his eyes, before he was taken away to a holding facility with many other children similar to him. During his first time there, a scientist explained to him that he was a unique person to have learned Dragon Slayer Magic and their goal was to evolve that ability to near incredible heights by seeing what different forms of testing would do to his body and how the magic would react to it. The first testing they did was implanting a Lacirma of Shadow Dragon Slayer Magic that they themselves made from the very essence of another dragon that they killed, marking him with it and granted him the power of Iron Shadow Dragon Slayer. Over the countless years he spent there, Butch was given every form of stress test that was inflicted not only physically, but mentally, resulting in his psyche to be damaged greatly and him changing into something worse.
Eventually when he was 17 years old, the scientist determined that he would not be able to figure out much from him due to the changes that occurred during the experiments and the scientist were ordered to put him down for good. However, that would be the day Butch would break free from his imprisonment, killing and beating everyone in his way as he and others broke through the buildings and made it to freedom as many left and headed towards any place that they could call home, while Butch looked for certain mages that he found files of to fight and beat within an inch of their lives, which marked the beginning of the Black Iron Demon.
Over time, Butch took any task, mission, bounty, and mission that would end with him being able to fight someone with incredible strength for the pure thrill of it, a side effect of the experiments that were done to him since his childhood. One day after defeating an entire guild by himself, he heard rumors about a group of Dragon Slayers that were coming together in order to attempt to take over the Earthlands to show Dragon Slayer superiority. Interested by this rumor, Butch looked around, trying to find any form of leads that could get him close to them, and succeeded as he had found the Guild Master of the Dragon Soul, Genghis Breningoch, who he fought and lost against. It was at that moment that he decided to join up with him, hoping that there would be more fights to win, but secretly, he joined to make sure that he would get stronger to one day take down Genghis, the only man to have ever beaten him.
Magic & Abilities
Natural Abilities
Immense Magical Energy: At birth, Butch had been shown to actually give off a magic aura when his parents held him for the first time, a rare sign in children that shows whether or not they will have the ability to produce magic at all. Over time, the aura seemed to appear more and more, frequently when he would lose any sign of his emotions, and often ended when he calmed down. After being adopted and trained by his father, Dynamius, his abilities of magic grew more and more under control, allowing his natural production to grow smoothly without any sign of complications or trouble. However, after his abduction at the hands of the Shadow Broker, and the infusion of the Shadow Dragon Slayer Lacirma into his body, his magic had spiraled into a very dangerous flux, which eventually calmed down as his body's natural adaptive properties were greatly enhanced by the Shadow Broker. After escaping, each fight Butch was a part of greatly enhanced how much his instinct's control over the control of his magic produced, allowing him to actually increase his own magic energy without him realizing it being too busy immersed in the fight. It has been seen that with Butch, his magic has been shown to go to near indescribable heights, especially when he goes into his Third Generation Dragon Force Mode at will.

strength as he often had to train with Iron almost every day, resulting in his body slowly developing more and more over time with each training session he did with his adopted father. When he was abducted and infused with the Lacirma, the result of the Shadow Dragon Slayer Magic now coursing through his body, combining with his original strength of his Iron Dragon Slayer Magic, the end result is his strength nearly tripling to even greater heights, resulting in one of the most powerful Third Generation Dragon Slayers ever. Unlike most mages, who have the sense to learn when and how to release their full strength when needed, Butch's lack of any sense results in him always going out at full strength, not giving anyone the chance to charge their magic or get ready to fight, making him one very dangerous opponent who can easily break through ten walls without needing to take a breath.
Enhanced Speed: Despite his heavy body under the Iron, Butch is seen to be one of the most nimble dragon slayer by far, moving at incredible speeds in mere seconds when he has the chance to. Without his use of shadows, Butch's speed in a fight can be considered to be incredibly outstanding, often at times making him like a speeding bullet when he needs to be. In some cases, when he runs, it's as if he is gliding through the ground, acting weightless and if nothing around him can stop his path at times, making opponents surprised despite the fact he is an Iron Dragon Slayer User. When he is in his shadow form, Butch's speed is accelerated by the fact there is no resistance to keep him from going all out at incredible speeds, which has earned him the respect of those who's specializes in magics that involve speed.
Enhanced Reflexes: Due to the experimentation's done to him along with his increased Adaptive Instincts, Butch's reflexes are shown to be nearly unbeatable, especially to those that attempt to fight him at hand to hand combat. When he fights, Butch's body gets a feel for how much strength the opponent uses, what their strongest and weakest side is, and how long it takes for them to regain their composure. Instinctively factoring all of this information in, his reflexes allow him to dodge an opponent's physical attacks as well as magic spells without worrying about losing control of himself in anyway. However, due to Butch's personality, he often prefers to not listen to the reflexes at times, only dodging when he believes it to be the best time, often struggiling with himself to make sure he doesn't dodge any weak attacks that might head his way.
Adaptive Instincts: One of the experiments done to Butch had to deal with the human's affinity for naturally adapting to anything that is thrown at them, often including such things as weather conditions, mobility, and much more. The tests performed on Butch were to greatly enhance his senses and muscle reflexes to be able to immediately detect the pattern and rhythm structure in any opponent, break it down instinctively, and create a counter to defeat them. However, while the end results of the series of tests worked, the same instincts also increased most humankind's primal urge for battle, releasing Butch's inner warrior with nothing, but the desire to fight and continuously defeat anything and anyone that gets in his way. Due to this, the adaptive instincts allow most Butch to create various spells and master them quickly without most of the actual work involved. Due to the nature of this unique characteristic, Butch is often left in a primal way of thinking at times, only concerning himself with fighting and more fighting, even when his own magic energy is depleted, and can often burn him out as it would also return him to a calm state of mind for more than a few weeks depending on the battles he fights.
Enhanced Durability: Due to his original status as an Iron Dragon Slayer User, his body naturally enhanced it's own durability, making his body ten times stronger than what it originally was. When in his scale form, the hardness of his body allowed him to take blunt force attacks and strikes with weapons more easily, making him a tough opponent to beat when he enters it. When Butch combines both of his Dragon Slayer abilities, he is able to produce a set of Iron Shadow scales with unique properties. When in use, the scale's durable structure have been seen to nearly double what they originally were when he was only in Iron form, resulting in Butch being able to take powerful Advance spells from most Caster and Lost Magics. With the added shadow element into the mix, it has been seen that spells can actually reflect off of Butch, being sent away in another direction, and even often depending on his mood actually able to swallow up the spells to further enhance his very own scales.
Enhanced Senses: Like many Dragon Slayers, Butch's natural senses are often seen to be nearly doubled that of a normal human, allowing him to find and detect things much better. Most cases, Butch's nose often leads him to many kinds of battles as his ability to keep track of scents let him often at times mark people he think is powerful and make sure that nothing around him gets away. Another great trait of a dragon slayer is their incredible hearing, often at times being able to hear the faintest of sounds whenever he is traveling or alone when people might attempt to kill him. It has been seen that Butch's hearing is actually much better through the shadows as he can often hear everything more crystal clear, including anyone's internal body, able to often tell whether someone is telling the truth or not.
Master Hand-to-Hand Combatant: As a young child, Butch's natural talent for fighting often lead him to getting into trouble when he went down to steal rusted Iron from the junkyard in the small city where he lived at. Over time, he developed a unique style that delivered unexpected attacks and spells to an opponent that could easily outbalance them depending on the type of styles they have. After the tests and infusion with the Lacirma, combined with his damaged Psyche, Butch's fighting style remained the same, only with more erratic moves and techniques, which often result in the opponent being disoriented. His most used technique is the ability to enter the shadows, allowing him to emerge from anywhere at anytime to deal any sort of damage to the opponent when he combines his shadows with his Iron Dragon Slayer abilities, making for one heavy and deadly strike.
Magical Abilities
Iron Shadow Dragon Slayer Magic(鉄影の滅竜魔法 Tetsuei no Metsuryū Mahō): Iron Shadow Dragon Slayer Magic is a Caster Magic, Lost Magic, Slayer Magic, and Dual Dragon Slayer Magic that allows the user to use both the elements of Iron and Shadow into one destructive force that has the power to kill a dragon. When in use, Iron Shadow Dragon Slayer Magic grants the user characteristics unique to Iron Shadow Dragons, allowing them to incorporate the element of iron (and, by extension, of steel), as well as shadow into their body, granting them the ability to change parts of their body (or the entirety of it) into shadowy iron, which can be shaped in a number of forms for different purposes, and to produce iron objects. The Magic relies around the use of shadowy iron for both offense and defense, with the user being capable of creating a wide array of weapons from their body to attack the opponents both in melee and from a distance, and to cover their body with shadowy iron in order to drastically increase their defensive power, whilst simultaneously heavily boosting their offensive power.
Despite the impossibility, the metal produced by Iron Shadow Dragon Slayer Magic is even stronger and more durable than any other metal, and it is capable of rendering some physical assaults useless as it enables their transform parts and most likely all of their body, into this metal. The user is also able to manipulate existing shards of metal, making them form an offensive spray of tiny shrapnel, and a thick shield made entirely of metal which can only be seen through from within. Iron Shadow Dragon Slayer Magic gives the user the ability to greatly increase their offensive and defensive capabilities, as their already strong physical attacks are enhanced by the density of their shadowy metal body. Their defenses seem to enhance exponentially, and they are able to block a powerful magical slash, with no visible damage to themselves, as the user incorporates the metals they manifest into their fighting style, greatly increasing the damage of their blows.
Spells
- Iron Shadow Dragon's Roar(鉄影竜の咆哮 Tetsueiryū no Hōkō) Is the basic spell most Slayer users are able to do when they use their magic. The user begins by inhaling a deep breath or inhaling their own element, concentrating the energy of their spell deep inside of themselves as their cheeks expand greatly, then when the user blows out the air the element is released in one pressurized blast that is able to deal damage to anything in the direction of the roar. When Butch releases his roar, a combination of black small iron shrapnel's infused with Shadow energy is released into the opponent, delivering a very powerful impact to the opponent as the shrapnel shreds apart the opponent's body while the shadow delivers powerful impact hits along with the shrapnel's sharpness to boot. In it's basic power, the shrapnel's are said to be able to tear apart an entire tree in one second, right down to the very roots as everything is seen shredded on the ground as well as ripped apart, leaving only behind splinters of wood left. When Butch uses his full power roar, the intensity of the shrapnels is nearly doubled, being able to tear down over an entire building after one roar, resulting in a large explosion that could be seen throughout the city as it crumbles down to the ground without notice.
- Iron Shadow Dragon's Scales(鉄影竜の秤, Tetsueiryū no Hakari): Is one of the best defensive spells that the Iron Shadow Slayer Magic has to offer, even more than it's original form when it was only one element. The user focuses magic throughout their body, channeling and focusing it around them as it solidifies and transforms their own body into a pure form of black iron scales, the combination of both Iron and Shadow together. When in use, the natural durability of the user is seen to actually triple what it originally was, allowing them to take on more punishment and actually deal damage to the opponent when they strike him by condensing the scales and sharpening them to hurt the fist of the opponent. When the Shadow side is activated along side the Iron, the reflective properties of the user's scale are changed as they have been shown to be able to actually reflect off different Caster Magic spells and often at times absorbing them before redirecting them towards an opponent.
- Iron Shadow Dragon's Claws(鉄影竜の爪, Tetsueiryū no Tsume): When the user has black iron hardening around their hands, the user focuses the shadow to extend more onto the hand, creating hardened shadow points that are able to slash through many different forms of objects depending on how sharp the claws are. A unique ability to this spell is that when the user slams their claws into the ground, they can actually submerge their own shadows into the floor, controlling and manipulating them to swim around into the ground, quickly subduing them as the shadows surrounds the opponent and creeps up quickly to ensnare the opponent and keep them in lock that they themselves are unable to break as long as the user has their hands on the floor.
- Iron Shadow Dragon's Sharur(鉄影竜の千砕,Tetsueiryū no Senkuda): When the user hardens Iron around their hands, they slowly warp it around to cause a shell to engulf the hand as it solidifies around their fist. Then by focusing their shadows into their hands and around the orb shell, shadow spikes emerge from them as it completes a morning star appearance on their hands. When the user fights with this spell, the impact of their own fist in nearly doubled in damage as the shell gives a very powerful blunt force attack, but added with the dangerous shadow spikes that can pierce an opponent's body without worry, it can add deadly damage to an opponent as the sharper the spikes, the powerful the punches can be. At one point, the user can channel more Eternano into their fists, then by focusing it through the shadow spikes, the user is able to send them flying towards the opponent at incredible speeds that can pierce through solid rock.
- Iron Shadow Dragon's Swallowing Coffin(鉄影竜の嚥棺, Tetsueiryū no Enhitsugi): This spell is said to only be able to be used when the user has their Dragon Scales on. When in their scale form, the user focuses shadows all around a specific area, whether it be arms, legs, anywhere that is exposed, then by focusing their Eternano into the scales, the user is actually able to launch them like swarms of insects to a dead husk. Multiple scales are seen attacking most things with any form of Eternano signature as a shadow stream is seen propelling them forward. It is said that if focused enough, the user is actually able to send out an entire swarm that could engulf the opponent as the multiple strikes on the opponent would slowly deal damage to the opponent each time one of them hits.
Advance Spells
- Iron Shadow Emperor's Barrage(鉄影帝の弾幕, Tetsueitei no Danmaku): Channeling much of their Eternano into their forearms, the user creates multiple magic circles as suddenly multiple sharp black iron spears are sent out flying with incredible speeds as it can deal incredible damage to an opponent depending on how fast or how strong the spears are and if they get it. In some cases, when the user slams their own hands into the ground, the spears pierce upward at incredible speeds, often appearing from any place that the shadows have been seen, be it on the side of a wall, the floor, or even the ceiling.
Secret Arts
- Fullmetal Phantomblade (鋼幻刃, Haganegenjin): Fullmetal Phantomblade is the first of the Iron Shadow Dragon Slayer's Secret Arts, which are the most powerful techniques of a Dragon Slayer. When performing the spell, the user claps their hands together, amassing iron upon their hands as their arms rise into the air. Once fully in the air, the iron shapes itself into the form of an enormous broadsword forged from iron—at least three times bigger than their entire body. Slowly and subtly, before the user brings the blade down upon their opponents, shadows creep up the blade, enshrouding it in shadow. Once this is done, the user swings the blade down upon their opponents with all of their might, at such a velocity that the kinetic energy remains even as its secret function is revealed—when in motion, the blade seemingly vanishes from sight—leaving the opponent confused as to where it had gone. However, in reality, the blade had used the intangibility effect of shadows to vanish from the plane—but upon impact, the blade rematerializes, striking the opponent at full force with enough power to destroy a substantially large area in front of the user and their opponents.
Iron Slayer Spells
Iron Dragon's Wrecker(鉄の残骸 Tetsu no Zangai): When the user channels their scales around their body, they manipulate the scales to go from smooth-like to spikes that appear over the user's hands and body, coating them in a powerful protection. The second part of the spell is that the user expands their own arms, arming them with another set of scales that produce near-indestructible gauntlets that when the user punches, it is able to break apart anything and stab them as well. When added with Eternano, it is possible for the scales to be launched at high speeds, hitting anything and everything around them as well as piercing them due to their enhanced Iron metals that the user has.
Shadow Slayer Spells
Shadow Dragon's Black Specter(影竜の黒死霊, Eiryū no Kuro Shiryō): When the user summons out an incredible amount of shadows, drawing in many more shadows around them as they are absorbed into the orb the user is condensing. When the energy is more than the user can contain, they send out multiple black shadow circles all around the area as they connect through the remaining shadows surrounding the opponent. The user then enters their shadow form before entering the black circle, disappearing from not only the area, but from tracking as the shadows actually hide their Eternano signature. In the portal, all of them are connected, meaning if a user shoots out a roar, the roar would lead out through all of them, dealing multiple times the damage they would originally have if it was done straight forward. However, there is a risk to this magic as the more time they spend inside of the portals, the more they will lose time to exit it if there is light that neutralizes the shadow portals, closing them quickly.
Shadow Drive(シャドウドライブ Shadō Doraibu): Is a support spell done by the user, which allows them to engulf themselves in a cloak of shadows that increases their natural abilities and allows them to enter the shadows of anything that produces it. When the user enters the form, the only visible thing that is seen about them is their eyes, depending on the color, would be enhanced to show them. Another ability shown in this form is the user is actual able to temporarily make himself intangible, allowing any kind of physical attack to pass right through as well as physical spells, and it allows them to enter the shadows of anything and manipulate them to however they see fit.
Shadow Triad Execution(日陰三和音刑戮 Hikage Sanwaon Keiriku): Is a powerful spell of the Shadow Dragon Slayer that can lead one person down to madness if they use it multiple times. The user begins by collecting all available inanimate objects shadows, absorbing them into their body as the shadows crawl all over the user, enveloping him in a black cover. The user then releases the cover back into the ground, causing three large shadow circles to emerge as they begin to solidify and materialize out into the open, taking on the shape of the user, allowing them to walk around as if they were normal people who obey the commands of their original host. When they fight, their own attacks are able to land hits, however, they're not very durable and even one powerful spell attack can make them disappear, but the secret is within their bodies, not the abilities or power they have. Each hit done by an opponent results in them becoming tainted with the shadows as the opponent slowly begins to slip from what is real to what is not real, leaving them vulnerable if all three shadows manage to make contact with the opponent. The risk to using this magic is that the shadows can also corrupt the user when first activated, which means that a strong will is required in order to use this spell effective, but in some cases, if one person has already had disillusion or psychiatric issues, they slowly slip deeper and deeper into them.
Dragon Force(ドラゴンフォース Doragon Fōsu): is the most powerful of Dragon Slayer abilities that tap into a reserve of strength that the Dragon Slayer never knew they possess. When the user's magic is pushed to the very limits, it would be the trigger to new reserves of magic, allowing them to continue fighting with new power increasing spells at their finger tips. Butch's unique physiology as well as the years of experimentation done to him have allowed him to be able to enter Dragon Force willingly and easily control it without worrying about the end results. However, there is a certain risk to using this ability that can inflict all forms of Dragon Slayers, which is each time they use it they risk slowly transforming their own bodies into that of actual dragons. After a person is released from their Dragon Force Mode, their own bodies are stressed to capacity and they end up having to rest for a total of three days in order for their magic to be rebalanced.
