End?[]

It has been several weeks after one of the children of Emperor Caerleon Gemma was kidnapped by an unknown agent of the Kingdom of Caliban. However, while the ceasefire is till in effect the tensions between all the nations of the Aeternum continent are high. A full out continental war is imminent if Brasil Gemma is returned to Gemma. However, news reached that Brasil was murdered by Caliban. The emperor of Gemma the day he heard the news traveled which to a location only known to Warmages and The Imperial Family. “Fire the weapon!” Caerleon was at the M.A.N.A a multi-turreted cannon with firepower that could reach anywhere on Earthland. However, it’s target was Caliban. If the beam would connect with the surface of the Caliban nation’s ground the destructive blast radius would be 5-10x that of the Magic Council’s Etherion. Not to mention would not even leave ashes of what it destroys. Just a crater. The blast was fired.

Destruction Magic Magic Superweapon

M.A.N.A being fired.

In Castle Caliban, the Princess of the North Lachesis jolted from her sleep, heavy breathing as he had trouble catching it, an vision she foresaw with such clarity she thought it was real, an devestating attack upon her city from Gemma. She didn't see the result of the intense beam hitting the city, but she knew it wasn't good. Soon after, an Highguardman came in who heard her.

"Princess, you alright, what happened?" The guardsman named Augustus Octavius who kneeled down to her level in bed. The princess looked horrified, tired, frightened at the same time. The princess told the guardsman she needs to see the king instantly, and after over an hour was dressed properly, her hair done to visit the king. The princess along with Augustus entered the throne room where Atreus Caliban sat, though he seems worned out already despite it only being in the morning. The two bowed, as the king gestured them to stand and be at ease.

"Good morning daughter Lachesis, I would like to say if you had an good sleep, but I was informed on your circumstances on your visit."

"Father, I was born with an gift of foresight, and I saw Gemma firing an massive weapon. They're superweapon targeted at the City of Caliban! I do not know the result has it didn't show me, but it did show me why or tell me" Albus looked at his daughter cautiously, wondering what would bring the drastic measure of using it. "The kidnapping and the death of his son Brasil Gemma is the cause."

"Thank you for bringing this to my attention, Augustus, escort the princess back to her room and be with her, she needs more rest and some company after that ordeal." The princess and guardsman bowed before departing, the king in deep thought and decided to call in Kein for some ideas and the information concerning the Emperor's son.

However in the South deep within an underground coven with magical barriers blocking inside and outside, stood the Lord of the South Orientem Imus Meridionali and an shadowy figure behind with Brasil Gemma tied up in an cell, though the cell itself was decent. The Lord looked behind him.

"Excellent work, the phase can be set in motion. This'll allow you to infiltrate the Empire when their focus is on their missing son."

Caerleon’s had lost his drive for a peaceful or at least quick peaceful end to this war. He sent an envoy to Caliban’s border to speak with a high ranking official of their military. With an official Writ of Gemma. A Writ of Gemma is the highest legal document of Gemma. It’s the full absolute authority of the Emperor with non-interpreting consequences. Only a Warmage can ignore such a Writ. Caerleon felt that such a such of degree of determination and force would compel the King to return him and rescind his army. The writ said as followed. Release Brasil Gemma and rescind your army or I will use the Three Weapons. The Three Weapons were M.A.N.A, Endless, and Eden each being superior to the Etherion Satellite. Each are masterpieces of three of the current Warmages. However, that wasn’t the only issue. By kidnapping Brasil the other nations of Aeternum began to ignore Gemma’s positions seeing as a pretext and perfect excuse to invade Caliban themselves. If Brasil was returned by one of the Allied Forces than Caerleon would be highly greatful. Brasil awoken in Caliban in an unknown location. “Where am I?” Spoke the second prince of the Empire.

The Lord Orientem walked up the cell, an decent one and looked towards the son. "Hello princess Brasil, and where you are is not your concern at the moment." The man held an can with his right hand as he held an pleasant facial expression, though his eyes doesn't match the sincerity of his expression. "You have currently an captive, and you'll provide the opportunity for ME to strike where not even Lord Albus or Kein can perform."

Brasil started to cry. He was just a child after all. However, even as child he did know something very important. “Are you planning on... killing... me?!” Asked the prince? He was very scared he was so scared and terrified that his tears caused minor ruptured around his tear ducts in the blood to come with his tears from his eyes. Brasil while was truly in terror he also knew that Caerleon put powerful Organ Link Spells all his children. If they were ever terrified than Caerleon would feel it. Thus proving if Brasil was ever killed. “You.. better... free... me... or... I... will... use... Eden?” Brasil was the commander of Eden the most terrible of Gemma’s Magic Superweapons and would obey him from anywhere on Earthland.

"Unlike Albus, I am not that cruel. No, you wont be killed and after my.. associate accomplishes his task, you will be safely returned, also I do not know of Eden but whatever it is, you shouldn't or something may occur during my associate's mission." The Lord turned and nodded his head at the shadow figure who simply vanish, and the Lord looked back. "However if you do cause trouble, there will be... punishments. There's an tray with good and an jug of water with an cup next to your bed - honeybread with an side of sweetroll, will that be good enough for the time being?"

Brasil was hunger. He ate the food and drank the water. However, while he calmed down he looked at this man. “What is it you want? Why did you steal me and not my older brother the crown prince?” Brasil was intelligent for a child. Well that is to be expected from the Imperial Royal Family. “How do justify Caliban murdering my mother. She drove to make a treaty with Caliban it got her killed.” He was full of question but the last one is what stuck out. “Why did you not just kill my father? Wouldn’t that make for ending the war much easier on your front?”

"Killing your father will only jeopardize my efforts, the crown prince was on the target but you... you'll be younger and more vulnerable can lead openings for my associate. I am not seeking the quicker end to this conflict, better yet this war is the good opportunity to do what my family tried to do all these years."

Brasil for a child was rather inquisitive. He was taught the art of diplomacy by his father. “What is your families goal? The destruction of the Imperial Family, seizing the wellspring, taking over all of Gemma, stealing the secrets of Irminsul my ancestor?” However, something known only to Caerleon. When he cast his Organic Body Link with all his children he also was able to see and hear everything they see and hear. However, the magical barriers around his cell did add some interference.

"Silence...." The Lord simply stated.

Brasil went back to sleep. As the entire ordeal was highly exhausting.

The Lord simply blink. "I do hope he understood that I didn't meant him to be silent, but Silence in some other way"

Brasil knew Sleep Magic to put himself to sleep. However, he wasn’t powerful enough to others to sleep. Though unknown to his captor his father Caerleon still could hear the captors talking. And it’s inevitable that he will find his son. The Lord then turned to his associate.

"Get prepared, it'll be soon that his disappearance will draw attention, so try to get the Prince to become an accomplice and that'll draw their attention to King Atreus." The associate nodded and disappeared as he went as he's instructed, and the Lord leaves the cells but left two men to guard.

Unknown Caerleon heard everything Brasil did even while asleep. He would play along with this lord’s sedition. Brasil woke up to the sounds of destruction. A small squadron of soldiers from Iostyane and Vesparia had come to rescue him. “The second prince of the empire is here find him!” Said a captian.

"Stop right there!" An guard shouted as the other goes to the assault the Captain though was easily knocked out and the other guard simply stared, and raised his sword. "An squad of soldiers, not my luck.. not like it was ever good, hm?" Guard tried to seem to crack an joke despite the predicament he's in.

"That wont be required Sergeant..." An man said as he walked down, revealing the Eastern Lord with his cane at hand. "I think I can handle these group, though I'll keep one alive to find out how they found this place." The Lord's eyes lit green faintly as he awaited the move of the enemy before him. "Will you lot surrender... or perish?"

The squadron of soldiers were defeated with little resistance. While soldiers from Iostyane and Vasparia aren’t amateurs their training is as high as Gemma’s. One was dragged in front of the Southern Lord. “I can’t believe we were defeated so easily. It doesn’t matter though more and stronger forces are coming. Did you believe stealing the emperor’s children wouldn’t have consequences?” However, Brasil asked the guard what is happening. “Did my father send someone?”

"Hello there child... I came for you as you may hold the key to what I require." Southern Lord stated as his eyes glows green. "I have came to... collect as per orders." The Lord stated as he walked. "Please come this way." He offered as he directed him to two armoured individuals. "Or..." The Lord grabbed the headd of the Guard, "this guys head..." he stated as his hand radiated a green light as his hair began to melt.

Stalemate & Checkmate[]

A month had transpired between the great nation of Gemma and the famous nation of Caliban. Thousands of soldiers remained dead on both sides. Several powerful mages were captured or even worst. Among the allied nations against Caliban specifically three of the Seven Sages of São were killed despite being similar in strength to the lower ranked Wizard Saints. Brasil still hadn’t been returned to his father the emperor. And it was unclean whom or what stole him form his previous captor and was hiding in Caliban. However, this stalemate was rigid and Invel was defeated by a joint effort by Ignis and Kein, albeit it took both at this fullest to defeat him and only barely. Edward had retreated. He was a Warmage and possessed the strength and level of Magic Power needed to fight like one. BUT he preferred to fight behind the curtain it was is forte after all.

Alice had finally had enough. She knew that as long as Brasil was in Caliban none of Gemma’s Magic Superweaponary could be unleashed at least to their fullest. So she decided to enter the nation destroying several hundred soldiers. Coming across Ignis and Kein. “Where is my grandson?” Alice asked. She asked not with contempt or any real kindness in her voice. It wasn’t scratchy like she had been crying or anything. It was cold and calm, but hidden behind a fiery fury. Like the calm before a hurricane ravaged a coast line with no barrier to stop it and no reprieve. Her Magic Power was controlled and she fined it that it wouldn’t overload Ignis or Kein’s senses. She wanted a straight answer. That would be difficult if they could barely breathe from being overwhelmed by his Magic Power.

"That magic power, influencing the atmosphere around us, you must be among the higher ranked warmages..." Kein questioned. "And you mentioned grandson, I hold no knowledge of individuals being taken, I simple serve to conquer any hostile against me or Caliban." Ignis was visible breathing through the magic, the level of magical power she is exerting would force any normal person to fall into insanity, thankfully he's not ordinary. "Min clarifying your intentions, I believe boss fight is at the end, is it not?"

Alice threw a newspaper at Ignis’s feet. “It is national news that the second prince of the empire was taken by an undercover operation launched by Caliban. It was this that lead to the other seven nations of Aeternum to join with us. Now you and the land become as one.” The land began very slowly devouring Kein and Ignis from their feet. “I really have to be careful. One of my primary Magics is Incantation Magic. A verbal kind of enchantment skill set. While having its drawbacks I can do things even master enchanters can’t with the larger applicational potential. My very words invoke enchantments. So if I don’t finely control my words and Magic power. Well image how our surroundings would be. Such as with a sentence the very earth looks to devour you.”

"Incantation Magic, reminds me of another particular set of magic I was granted upon in my homeland." Kein kneeled to pick up the newspaper and read along it. "Do you have evidence, and if we do have the prince, is it wise to launch an assault?"

Alice then gave a report she got from the emperor. This report was from Secundi one of the distant relatives of the Caliban Royal Family, and by extension a very distant relative of the Gemma Imperial Family. “Secundi one of your princes I believe, sent a report to our emperor. It wasn’t very detailed but he gave evidence that Atreus at least knows of Caliban’s plan and who stole Brasil from his father. That is my grandchild as much as Irminsul’s. So maybe this a conspiracy by Secundi or maybe Atreus planned it. Maybe it was plot by someone in Caliban that is playing both sides. I don’t care in the slightest. Use whatever power or connection you have to find it. Or Gemma will show you what it means to be human.”

Alice stopped the progression of the earth around Kein and Ignis. “Humans are the worst. They are lame, toxic, they corrupt and ruin everything they touch and they’re just so boring. Humans are more vile than demons. More beastly than monsters. And even more pious than any god. Humans are the worst and the greatest. So maybe I should show you how human I am truly am especially when I feel like being the worst.”

Kein looked his right, contemplating on something, which Ignis took notice. "Conquest, I know that look, don't you dare!"

"Shut it Ignis, I know what it is like to lose those you love. It's not knightly to not on ly sneak like foxes, but to kidnap a child who is not involved in this. I was labled a traitor for a crime I did not commit." Kein looked towards Ignis. "If Secundi did inform them of the potential kidnapping, the it must the King that must questioned."

Ignis looked at Kein dead in the eyes. "You planning to betray Caliban, over some child?!" Ignis demanded a answer from Kein as his God Slayer Magic ignited in his four hands.

"I am the Knight Magi general who sworn a oath to protect the young and elderly, the world. I have taken on forces not of this world. Ignis looked pissed, but he knew if he truly did began to choose the Empire over Caliban, he will lose since the second warmage is here, facing them both is something he rather not wish. As he saw Ignis stand down, Kein turn towards Alice. "Do you want me to find the child, get some answers from Atrues? I do not want child blood on my hands in this conflict."

Alice had a smirk on her face. It was the kind of smile that seemed grateful but at the same time would be like if she was plotting a 1,000,000 ways to torture someone. “Yes please, use what you can to find Brasil. After all, I rather not unleash the Red Queen or the Queen of Hearts. Spells of such strength and complexity that it would even take Irminsul time to undo....” Alice noticed a huge Magic Power presence not far from them. “Who is that? Is that Torrhen?” Torrhen is the only warrior of Caliban that almost rivals Alice and Irminsul in power.

"Indeed you had..." Torrhen was behind Kein. "It has been a long time since I even stepped foot in Gemma, and it looks like my old friend did a lot... If I recall.. you're Alice... Alice Flor?" Torrhen asked, as Kein looked on in shock as well as Ignis. Torrhen looked like a middle-aged man with black hair and an neutral expression on his face. "I know you of the Warmages, considered to be His top mage in the group, but to appear so soon when we're not at the boss level? You were quirk to enter combat."

Alice looked at this man that Irminsul barely spoke of during the 300 years he trained her. “Unpredictability is what I am best known for. I do what I want at the moment I feel I need to do it. Torrhen you are powerful. But still unfortunate to be at the place and moment I decided to take direct action. After all attacks or in this case kidnapping one of my grandchildren... well no quarter is given. I am not some background character to only be revealed when all the mid-bosses are defeated. No if I need to annihilate a city or even a country don’t believe I won’t. However, there is one point in your favor. Irminsul isn’t here. If it’s only me well the maps will only need some alterations. If both of us were to come you will need new maps entirely. I am called the High Witch for my mastery of Magic. But I have another title the Red Witch. As I make the land, sky, and waters red in blood!”

"At this point in time, titles are meaningless. While this here knight general shall investigate on that kidnapping, I must request you back away from here Lady Flor... I really do hate seeing your kind here..." Torrhen calmy said in a almost demanding tone as he simply stared at her. "If you were to take action now, I have no choice but to step in now." He then looked at Kein. "Go, do what you must, I'll handle the Witch of Pride." He'd then smirked as he said that, looking towards Alice.

Alice looked around as if she was alone. “Oh sorry I wasn’t paying attention. I was looking for my grandson Brasil for the umpteenth. He isn’t here and I will not retreat and I was given full authority from Lord Irminsul to retrieve him. So to showcase just how unpredictable I am here is something to make you act with haste. So let the blood rise and fall on the land.” Alice spoke with her Incantation Magic a verbal version of the Enchantment Magic Ability. “This is the Red Queen ( 赤の女王, Aka no Joō) a spell that brings back all the blood the target has spilled. It goes where you go and no Magic, Curse, or Spiritual Art can break it.” As Alice said that it started raining blood, the air became red with red mist and blood came up from the ground. “Might want to hurry eventually it will drown Caliban in an ocean of blood as spilled by a Queen of Red.”

Magic Blast

"Then you leave me choice, Queen of Red, as you'll force my hand." Torrhen said as he raised his right hand. "Divine Providence is quite a powerful adversary against those who exist out of the norm of the world. Here.. allow me to show you.. the pinnacle of Light Magic." Torrhen breathed in before he began to perform a incantation. "Let light rise out of darkness and rise above all that is evil in the world, vanquish the deep abys and let it light our way, Special Providence." As soon Torrhen finished, a bright light enveloped the sky above Alice before a radiated beam of light broke through the clouds and hit Alice on the ground infront of him. "Lets see if you see Special Providence from Divine Providence."

The smoke cleared and a large crate appeared. At the center was Alice. Her clothes were ruined and charred marks all over her bruised body. “Ouch that one hurt, like seriously that one was powerful... for you.” Alice started to walked. “So let me say this in proper form and etiquette.” Alice’s verbal enchantment restored her clothes and removed the bruises. But it didn’t really heal her body it was more artificial.

Alice the looked as the crater began to fill with blood from her last enchantment. “Torrhen and take this to heart. You are the strongest mage fighter in Caliban. In-fact if we had met say fifty years ago you would outclass me. But as it stands now I outclass you. Sure you are a challenge that I will break more than a sweat. But don’t believe you have what it takes for this to not be a pyrrhic victory. Now let me state why we the Warmages outclass every mage organization on the continent.” Alice waved her hand ethernano appeared which is usually invisible.

“While it varies between mages, some are powerful enough to make Grand Ethernano. Something Irminsul discovered a century ago when studying the Wellspring. That other powers have either resistance to Magic like Curses or even near-immunity like the Spiritual Arts. But there is an answer. And that answer is Grand Ethernano. Which is simply Ethernano that has been compounded and transcended outside the limits typical Ethernano is subjected to. It is a skill that takes years to master as most don’t even known when they make such ethernano. Even Magic Superweapons like Etherion make it when it first crashes with something. It spends Magic Power 5-10 times faster but the trade off is that it isn’t bound by the Laws of Magic. But my Master Enchantments are fueled by it.”

Alice Spell

Alice’s Red Queen and Queen of Hearts spells.

Alice moved towards the crater again and looked at it. “From blood rises those that held the blood Queen of Hearts ( ハートの女王 , Hāto no Joō) ” Alice spoke another verbal enchantment. “Now I am enchanted the very blood that you all shed. But now from it will come those that bleed.” Broken skeletons started appearing out of the pools of blood and from the very ground. “The Red Queen reveals spills blood but the Queen of Hearts reveal the broken bodies. The blood acts like a portal through time drawing out the bodies from that fell in battle against your nation. They have no souls but don’t think of them as empty vessels. They are filled with the rage and hatred for those that killed them. They are all the soldiers that died fighting for or against you nation. They all seek revenge against of Caliban. Even if you break them, the Red Queen returns them. I told you how human I can be.” Thousands of skeletons soldiers started rushing toward Torrhen, Kein, and their legion.

"So you rather still fight despite my word in locating the grandson?" Kein readied as his held his sword. "I reckon this is perfect opportunity to showcase why I am known as one of the Four Horsemen of the Apocalypse." Kein held his sword forward. "I gave you my word I would, but using those of the dead, past or present is something I, the Knight of the Magi shall not stand!" Kein began to exert his magical power as a aura formed around him, even Ignis had a fiery aura around him. However something changed in Torrhen, no longer an young man but not of an elderly figure.

"I'm not as.. adept in terms of Time Magic or Age as the God of Magic, this is my true form, but do not let this body... decieve you." Torrhen's magical aura began to exert in a unique way, being more that if distorting the atmosphere and making the air more denser and of higher pressure. "Preapre yourself Lady Alice Flor, as this is igniting a entirely different conflict in this world. Kein and Ignis, you both shall handle Lady Alice, I'lll handle... her manifested army by myself." Kein and Ignis followed his comman with Kein ordering his Legion to stand by. Kein and Ignis went to confront Alice, having bypassed her army to get to her.

"I gotta say Lady Alice." Kein began. "I wasn't expecting you to mess with such dark magic, this could even come across as a Black Art of that guy, Zeref was it?"

Alice had temperamental look on her face. “Now it’s a party, the three of you together might be strong enough to warrant a full on assault by me. But what are you talking about dark magic or the Black Arts? I used enchantments they simply have a dark aesthetic to it. Besides their rage is genuine. I didn’t create it simply channel it back into their bones, but the rage and hatred toward Caliban is very real a consequence of your fault. And yes Kein you said you would look for me grandson. But for all I know you could be part of that conspiracy. Someone has given y’all potent protection against my Telepathy I can’t read your minds which is an impressive achievement.” Alice waved her hand and the soldiers stopped. “Remember two things, spells created by Grand Ethernano can only be dispelled by Grand Ethernano. Finally I don’t like killing Torrhen, Ignis, and Kein. I don’t like it because it’s a distraction. No what I do is bring Gemma’s enemies to justice. But the form it takes is a consequence of their actions having nothing to do with me. In summation, your the one that fell into the abyss that is your life I’m just the one to make sure you stay there.”

Ignis smirked before he suddenly held a expression of the fact he was listening to something before looking towards Kein. "Sorry Supreme Commander, I must go, the Lord of the South requests my presence. Is that alright, Lionheart?" Lionheart looked towards the Cardinal God before nodding. "Kein, teach this young Lady a listen why you're our damn general!" Ignis then began to instantly retreat towards the Southern region of the kingdom, Kein looking towards Alice.

"There we go, this seems fair don't ya think? I know what ya gonna say, 'it was always a fair fight even if there was 10 others' or whatever stuff. Anyways doesn't matter about if you're magic is simply for the looks, or is the real deal. Those who mess around with life and death is something I, as a Knight, can not simply look away. I rather not kill you, you know? You may hold knowledge that can improve this world, but for now I'm aligned with Caliban and thus, you are my enemy. Prepare youself..." Kein simply stated as his armour glowed, granting him a boost of speed, and strength as he slash towards her with his blade.

”Begone.” The blood stopped and skeletal army halted and started to fall apart. “In my hands a great blade appears. Vorpal sword appear!” A beautiful sword appeared in Alice’s hands and stopped Kein’s sword, however, Alice isn’t accustomed to swordplay like Kein. Sure she was not an amateur in the art but Kein was a knight, but she created this sword for other purposes. “What was that prepare myself? Maybe you want to take some preparation against me instead.” Alice pushed Kein back looking as the remains of her previous enchantments fade away. “Confused? Don’t be it is rather simple. My Queen Enchantments as powerful as they are created and fueled by Grand Ethernano. It is too costly for long term use. So I switched to a more effective and lower cost one. My Vorpal sword is also created by Grand Ethernano but it doesn’t require constantly channeling of my magic. I will say it again I’m extremely unpredictable, just like my sword it doesn’t cut what I cut and it cuts what I don’t cut.” A lock of Torrhen’s hair fell to the ground as if it was cut by a extremely sharp blade, but the only thing it came into contact with is Kein’s blade.

"As you explained with this Grand Ethernano is something that goes above the more normal magic particles most, if not virtually everyone uses correct? However... it is still by definition ethernano and thus magic particles correct?" Kein questioned as he appeared to be getting ready for another strike as he leaped back a few feet.

Alice looked at Kein and Torrhen. ”Ethernano is the particles used to create and fuel Magic Power. It is replenishing in the world around us all the time. Curse Power is created by negative emotions particularly human emotions and Curses are highly resistant to Magic. Spirit Power is created by Suspiria and Spiritual Arts are nearly immune to Magic with a few exceptions particularly Enchantments as they can enchant Suspiria into Magic Power thus allowing Magic to effect Spiritual Arts. But Grand Ethernano is an essence above all three even though it started out as Ethernano. The very essence of Magic Power is fueled with many powers and elements. The process of Grand Ethernano is to compound and remove these powers so to speaks. The limits of Ethernano are removed and it breaks the very laws of Magic especially in regard toward Curses and Spiritual Arts. The resistance of Curses is voided and Spiritual Arts can be effected by Magic created with Grand Ethernano. So yes Grand Ethernano is Magic technically but of a kind of transcendental nature that makes it vastly different from what is typically called Magic Power. Such as the sword I created with it.” Alice slashed the palm of her left hand but nothing happened, no blood not even a scratch. Then though all of Torrhen’s armor had cracks appear all over. “Get it now, the Vorpal sword cuts not what it slashes but what isn’t cut is slashed.”

"I see now, if that is the case then.... I should be able to succeed. You forgot one important aspect, there is a state of something right? For example, liquid is the opposite to a solid, and matter is the opposite of antimatter. That means there is something that is the opposite of magic." Kein raised his left hand into a fist and aimed it at Alice. "Opposite to that of magic is Antimagic!" Kein sprinted towards Alice, raising his left hand as the the adamantine metal began to cause the "erasure" of magic particles in the air around him, his left causing the ethernano to become nothing as it rushes towards Alice, but aiming at her sword. Kein wish to test something, if his right, he'll be victorius, but if not, it will become a painful realization that this is the fight he can not win, nor he can hope to pinpoint a victory point. However he will try to go a good blow on Alice, and hopes to utilize his armour potent antimagic to slow her down.

Vorpal sword

Alice's Vorpal sword.

Alice moved her sword to clash again with Kein’s. “ You don’t listen Grand Ethernano has none of the limits regular Ethernano including what can dispel magic. But it doesn’t change this Anti-Magic is powerful, had I used regular Ethernano for my sword it would have broken. But your Anti-Magic does require me to use even higher amounts of Grand Ethernano. So I guess I will have cut you down. It’s a pity really, you had to side with the wrong side of this war. So with my Vorpal sword I have already cut you down.” Kein’s armor started to crackle. “I did tell you this sword only cuts that which I don’t. When it cuts something all the slashes go elsewhere through the world. Thus allowing me a sword with an incredibly sharp edge that has infinite range. One more cut and it should be enough to skin you alive.”

"Hold it!" Lionheart suddenly shouted from behind. "I think that is quite enough Lady Alice, this fight is now over." Lionheart stared at both Kein and Alice. "It seems, we have what you can a traitor in our midst, is that right... Lady Parvus?" Lionheart moved to reveal a heavily wounded Parvus with the grandson of the Gemma Empire on her back.

"S-safe your breath Lionfart, I did this because I was forced to, seeing such a child in a location and state is something I can not overlook. Even if I must go against this rather.. silly kingdom for yet another silly Empire." Parvus walked passed the Hidden One and towards the two clashed generals of their respective kingdom, though limbing as she is. "I think it's time to end this silly farce and stop this war once and war, don't you think?" Parvus questioned Alice and Kein.

"Lady Parvus how did you--?" Kein began but was cut off by Parvus.

"Never underestimated the senses of a Phoenix Slayer metal knight Kein, I can easily smell both of your scents from across the kingdom, and hear the echoes of the Prince from within the underground prison of the Southern Lord." Parvus walked passed Kein as he backed off, and went towards Alice. "Lady Alice, I have recovered your prince from the confines of my previous master and Lord, thankfully he wasn't physically hurt since I protected him from such harm." Parvus' head suddenly began to blood from the front. "I must ask you to leave this area, and to take me with you. I went against the South and will be classified as a fugitive. I wish to seek refuge in Gemma until you take down this broken society and reconstruct it anew, assisting Princess Lachesis and the Prince Secundi." Parvus let the boy down in front of her. "Also do best make it quick, Ignis is very angry at the moment, and at this time he's on a rampage to not only kill me since I severely wounding his pride," Parvus chuckles a bit, only for some blood to leak from her mouth. "But even this prince is in danger. Ignis doesn't follow orders, much to the dismay of the Southern Lord, despite his.... sadistic antics."

Brasil ran to his grandmother and gave her a hug. While Alice was an immortal witch with only 300 years of life she still looked in her youthful early twenties. It looked like a mother and child hugging. But as Alice started to stand she started to fall down... she was out cold?! “Granny Alice!” Cried Brasil. “Don’t worry, she isn’t dead just exhausted.” Spoke a invisible mysterious figure. As the shadows waved around a man in a large black cloak appeared. It was Rafael Dormir the 4th ranked Warmage and considered the most mysterious of them for he never has been at a battlefield since his tenure began nine years ago. “Alice used up too much Grand Ethernano to power her enchantments.”

Rafeal looked around at all the damage the battle caused that span for hundreds of miles. “She really went overboard. For breaking outside the laws and limits of Magic it consumes itself 5-10x times faster than regular Ethernano. But I followed her staying out of her battle she is rather dangerous. Now I have already arranged for transport to Gemma for her and the second prince of the empire. Shall I arrange transport for all of you as well?” Rafael looked at Torrhen. “That includes your Ser Torrhen Ironheart, as Irminsul has temporarily dispelled the ancient spell he cast on you. You are allowed back home.”

"I rather not go to that place at this, it's not the right time.. and besides." Lionheart looked at the heavily wounded Parvus. "We have a traitor in Caliban and that can not go unpunish." Lionheart looked at her dead in the eye before he exerted his magical aura directly onto Parcus. Parvus suddenly began to sweat intensily as her already weakened body fell to the ground, gasping for as from just a glance. However Kein walked infront, and halted his aura.

"Sir, it best to leave, we're all tired and my armor is broken, I can not continue until this gets repaired." Kein looked at Lionheart who then sighed, agreeing. Kein heavily sighed as he began to walk away, but Lionheart looked at the almost fainted Parvus.

"Despite your actions being that to free of the young prince, I can not look away your actions. Parcus of House Meridionali, you are hereby exiled from Caliban for going not against the South, but even that of the King of Caliban. I do not care where you go, but traitors can not stay here, by law you would be executed, but I am feeling... generous right now. Leave before I change my mind." Parvus slowly stood and looked down, but she does not regret her actions, only thing she regretted was leaving someone behind in order to have her escape with the Prince.

"When can I return?" Parvus asked.

"When you can return, is when this 'society' as you call it, gets reconstructed after its defeat, however I do no see that happening. Warmage, tell Irminsul I wont be coming back to the Empire, only time I am to step in that place... is on the day of his death. Time for conversation has been long gone for over a millennia." Lionheart told him before instantly vanishing as well with Kein.

Rafael signed as Ironheart and Kein were required. But luckily he knew something that Torrhen didn’t know. Rafael’s magic allowed him to instantly follow and appear whatever he has seen darkness. So he took Alice, Parvus, Brasil, basically everyone. And when Torrhen and Kein appeared miles later darkness risen from the ground and covered them. They traveled through shadows for hours until they were in Moria the capital city of Gemma. “I’m sorry Ser Torrhen, but your presence is mandatory and Kein fellow Warmage Edward will repair your armor. But this isn’t a negotiation you will hear what Irminsul has to say. Then you can make your choice. Less you forget Torrhen you surrendered all rights for vengeance against the Magic God when you attempted to steal his wife and then murdered her albeit indirectly.”

Rafael knew the ancient history of Irminsul and Torrhen. “So don’t behave like a victim because you can’t have it both ways. You should be on your knees thanking him. The ancient magic he cast on you also stabilized your Magic Power a final testament to your friendship. All he did was make you live with your mistake. Now we aren’t far from the Spiral Spire the ancient tower of Irminsul, he will be meeting us outside of it later today. Enjoy the capital city until then, it is the biggest city in Aeternum. Lastly Torrhen, Kein, and Parvus none of you can leave the city until after the meeting. Attempting will be lead to dire and irreversible consequences.”

"What a troblesome warmage, but least better in the clutches of that feeble Souther Lord." Parvus sighed. "Anyways, Mister Lionheart, considering you seem to have a extensive history to the Empire, I'll keep close to you. I am not sure on my location right now, and the noises is getting too much, I'll need time to adjust to thia sudden change in environment." Parvus looked over to Kein, who just sighed.

"So, a warmage wants to repair my armour. I'd be surprised he even has the materials, adamantine, considering it's only located on Eurasia in small quanities." Kein walked towards Lionheart. "Sir, what is our process now?"

"I guess we have no choice to do what they ask. We'll head to the Diamond Family's palace so to speak. Come, we'll walk there, enjoy the sights Gemma has to offer. This is your only opportunity to see the internals of Gemma, Kein and Parvus." Lionheart began to walk forwards, not really caring for sight seeing, and wanting to get this over and done. Parvus and Kein followed, while Kein seemed to be enjoying the architecture, Parvus was simply annoyed. She just wants to read some books, and sleep. "It'll be five minutes before we reach their palace. However it has been some centuries, so it may look different then I remember." Parvus brow twitched a little upon hearing, where Lionheart turned to face her. "Do not fret Parvus, you're maybe older then what you let on, but you're but a infant to me eyes, hahaha." Parvus puffed her checks, now amore annoyed in Lionheart's attitude and demeanour.

Edward meet Kein at the Mage’s Institute. “So Kein we meet again. I heard of how you faired respectfully against Alice. To survive not only her Master Enchantments and the Vorpal sword, does warrant a reward of sorts.” Edward escorted Kein into his private research area of the institute. “Now down to business... Oh yes I almost forgot. The institute was altered by me, if you attempt to divulge any of it’s secrets I will know instantly. Now with that directly subtle warrant out of the way. I will reforge your armor.”

Edward saw the look of annoyance and confusion on Kein’s face. “It is true I don’t have any adamantine in my lab at present but it doesn’t matter. Your armor was damage by the Vorpal sword.” Edward looked over the armor while it was still surrounding Kein’s body. “As you know, all the Warmages can use Grand Ethernano. A kind of super ethernano that has removed its limitations and can affect every other kind of power. But that is not it’s greatest application. What makes it so deadly is, anything destroyed or damaged by any kind of Magic Power created from Grand Ethernano can’t be fixed.” Edward sat down in his chair.

“You see Grand Ethernano has a unique function that it effects the very foundational existence or reality of what it touches. So when Alice’s sword made cracks all over your armor, it didn’t just crack the armor but also it’s very reality. Even if you repair it, the reality is damaged and the cracks will never stop reappearing. But there is a workaround, due to my Magic and my research into Grand Ethernano I can repair or even reforge your armor. In a way giving it a new reality. However, there will be a price and I will have to infused Grand Ethernano into the very fabric of it. So in a way your armor is getting a upgrade. It will have all the functions it had plus enhancements from the Grand Ethernano I will be using to fix it.”

"I do not exactly understand Sir Edward, as far I am aware, adamantine is known as the Antimagic Metal, with only the dwarves being able to remotely use magic on it at their forgery, it's been made impossible to use magic on it. This Grand Ethernano seems like one scary facet. But may I ask, why even bother to help a enemy?" Kein questioned Edward's motives.

Edward had to clarify something. “You see Grand Ethernano is not bound to the world’s laws or even other powers. Magic Barrier Particles can’t contaminate it. Curses or Curse Power is just as effected by it as anything. Even the Spirirual Arts which with very few and specific exceptions are nearly immune to Magic can be equally effected by spells created by Grand Ethernano. It works by controlling reality itself to achieve the impossible. In short Grand Ethernano is basically just one step from the One Magic.” They left his private research room and went down the hall. Edward showed him another place in his lab. It seem like a small room, but when the door opened the room was miles long inside with thousands of Gemma soldiers and captured Caliban soldiers in hospital beds. “Using powerful spells this room is a big as I need it to be. “I am tired of trying to heal all these soldiers. Plus I heard you had small part in finding Brasil. Gemma rewards those that help and destroys those that attempt to do us harm. Is a very simple creed.”

"I was concerned for the boy's safety, however that praise and gratitude should be directed towards Parvus, the small girl who came with us. She would had not only go against the Lord, but even Ignis to get him. As such thanks should be towards her, I had little part in his rescue." Kein then scanned the room with the Caliban soldiers in the beds. "What exactly are you doing to the Caliban soldiers, I find it odd you help the soldiers who did went against you lot."

Understanding[]

Edward showed Kein further into the magically enhanced spacious room. “You see there are Vaspairan Knights, Iostyane Soliders, and many other from the allied nations against Caliban. I want a swift end to this war. I would prefer to return to my research. And while I know Parvus is ultimately the one that rescued Prince Brasil, you were of assistance. Alice also told me from reading your mind that you didn’t really see Gemma as a enemy.”

"Not as much as time went on, and many things began to crawl from the surface Edward. I was blinded by my knightly duties as the supreme general, I failed to see the incursions and corruption not only in the Chapters, even with the Royal Family. I thought I was doing good for the sake of all, but that was only to fuel my knightly ego to take over as the Conqueror of the East back on my homeland." Kein then proceded to lift his hands onto his helmet, and finally remove his helmet, revealing a middle-aged man with white hair and mustache and beard. "I think it's time... for Caliban to finally change once and for all."

Edward was pleased. “You see, maybe Caliban isn’t as great a nation as it’s Royal Family makes it out to be.” Edward had Kein remove all of his armor, and gave him a robe to cloth himself. “Now myself I hated Caliban, but not it’s people. I hated the ideals it spread. That conquering was a righteous endeavor. However, maybe Gemma is too quick to play the victim. Of course, Gemma is one as it has been targets for invasion for centuries. But it always retaliates way over what was done to it. But when you have been hurt that many time you usually have no temperance for restraining oneself.” Edward looks over the armor with Magical Equipment. “Wow, Alice really did a number on this armor. Had you worn inferior armor you would have been slain by the Vorpal sword.”

"I am not sure the extent of the damage it would do, I have face countless foes in my past that did not even originated from this world." Kein looked towards the armour. "But in times of need, that armour has always been my saving grace for many decades."

Edward simply went to work. “Maybe, but Grand Ethernano is something that is very.... special and foreign in a manner of speaking. It is this foreignness that makes whatever it destroyed or damaged stay that way. I suppose that is why it is very rare for it to happen naturally. Aside from the Warmages, and the Magic Superweapons, the only other thing of Grand Ethernano is the Wellspring. Most mages even if they make this advanced Ethernano it usually lasts for a second maybe less. To create Grand Ethernano requires an emotional state that can’t be described in any language. Plus you fought Alice, your lucky she wasn’t more mad. Imaged if she mixed her Destruction Magic with Grand Ethernano.”

Alice reading a book

While Kein and Edward conversed during the reforging of Kein’s armor there was significant other personal encounters at the palace. Parvus, Torrhen, Secundi, and Lachesis had all made it to the Imperial Palace. It truly was an magnificent palace. However, all waited in the library for the emperor. The meeting with Irminsul was moved to the palace for unknown reasons. Inside Alice was reading a book. “So how is everyone? I hope you all are enjoying the Eternal Crystal Palace: Caesarea.” Alice had rested.

Alexanna

Parvus looked towards Secundi and Lachesis, somewhat bewildered. "Prince and Princess, what are ya both doing here?" Secundi looked towards the Mistress Warlock, while Lachesis shyed away from not only the Phoenix Slayer, but even towards Alice.

"Cause we need to stop my father." Secundi answered, only see Parvus looking towards Alice Flor reading her with intrigue and curiosity. Parvus inspected the area she was with so many books.

"This place is larger then the Grand Library back at the mansion..." Parvus eyes sparkled upon seeing so many books, wondering what secrets the Grand Library does not have.

Along the rolls of books appeared a new person. It was a woman. She had blonde hair and blue eyes. She also was dressed in a regal garments. “Surprised to see me after all these centuries, Torrhen?” Torrhen was completely bewildered it was... Alexanna. The very wife of Irminsul and who’s death destroyed Irminsul and Torrhen’s friendship. She was alive?!

Torrhen eyes stared dead at her, his eyes widen and his face paled, he was seeing a living ghost of the past of so long ago. "Alexanna.. how are you.. alive?" Parvus as well with Kein looked at Lionheart were perplexed and confused by that statement.

Alexanna hugged Torrhen and then slapped him hard enough that it was heard through the entire Royal Library. “That is for breaking our friendship as I was already married to Irminsul you jerk.” But then Alexanna quickly regained her composure. “On that day over 960 years ago when I rejected your love, your Magic Power erupted and I was blast by it. But I wasn’t destroyed I was blasted into a timeless void by your uncontrolled Time Magic. I stayed there for what seemed like only one day. But when you used Time Magic when you fought the Endless in one of Irminsul’s worlds, Irminsul found me as the mixing of his and your Magic Power somehow touched me. So he used Space-Time Magic to pull me out of the void you cast me into.”

"Did you say say 960 years ago?" Parvus asked as Lionheart was still in a state of shock. "I thought humans had a rather low life span, how did this Irminsul and you Lionheart, how are you still alive?" Lionheart stood and walked back through the broken library.

"You see Parvus, they's many ways to achieve that feat, Irminsul did so with Age, he can stay young forever and for me, it ties directly to my Time Magic. However I'm... not as perfected as Irminsul but I did achieve it." Lionheart sighed as he looked at the small girl. "Besides, arn't you yourself like 220 years old?" Parvus eyes widen as a blush formed before walking away in embarrasment.

Alice chimes in. “Age or Age Magic is a very advanced Magic that allows the caster to reverse, halt, or accelerate age. I also mastered it I’m over 300 years old. But Torrhen while I knew the history of you, Lord Irminsul and Lady Alexanna why couldn’t you find someone else to love?” Alexanna and Alice had came up to Torrhen and Alexanna spoke. “So Torrhen, Irminsul removed the spell that forbade you from entering Gemma, are you still an enemy?” It was truly an awe inspiring scene. Two beautiful blonde beauties starting at Torrhen.

"Considering you survive the ordeal of my magic, you can now no longer consider me a enemy." Lionheart stated, though Parvus walked infront of the two women, and stared at them intently.

"Prey tell, may I ask you a question Flor?" Parvus asked the Warmage.

Alexanna looked annoyed. “That isn’t for you to decide. You know Irminsul couldn’t ever say no to me so when I asked him to dispel the Magic he did. But he has grown in my absence. While he did spell the magic he made one concession. That you come before the current emperor and he will decide your punishment if you shall receive one. Alice told me of the Warmages and their absolute immunity to the emperor’s authority. But that doesn’t mean they rule the empire. They simply protect it, but that they are above any punishment the emperor and still are required to respect and listen to him. Plus all the Warmages are selected with enough restrain that they would go around just undermining the emperor.”

Alice looked at Parvus. “What your question?”

"During the conflict before the actual declaration of war, I want something cleared up. Some time ago Caliban lost two of its lords, the Lord of the North Lupine Aquilo, and finally the Lord of the South that proceeded before the current, Lord Pater Meridionali. Do you have any involvement his disappearance and potentially, the reason of his death?" Parvus bluntly asked the questions.

Alice answered the question. “Lord Albus Aquilo I believe poisoned Lord Lupine. But that is only a rumor. As for Lord Pater Meridionali according to action reports he was defeated and fatally injuries by Wilhelm Wort the White Knight and 3rd Ranked Warmage. But according to the thoughts of his soldiers in Edward’s hospital wing of his institute. One of his soldiers was the one that actually killed him upon his request. Something about transferring his Magic Power to someone that could only happen if he died. You can be furious all you want, but remember Caliban attacked first we defended ourselves. Were we suppose to just let them conquer us?”

Parvus looked down, obviously distraught of the information, but she shook that as she turned around. "It's ok, it's only natural, I only wish he wasn't killed by some common soldier. That being said," she turned to face them. "Do you still have his body, I wish to have a proper burial back home after all this is over if you will."

Alice looked just a bit ashamed... which was... rare for her. “Technically yes, but he is in pieces I suppose Edward could put him back together.” Alexanna stepped in. “Alice we really shouldn’t keep the emperor and Lord Irminsul waiting.” The group Torrhen, Kein, Secundi, Lachesis, and Parvus worked their way to the throne room.

Irminsul and Emperor Caerleon were in the throne room. The throne room was truly grand, walls of marble with beautiful stained glass windows and throne made from crystals and metals from all over Gemma. “Welcome to my palace I hope you all have enjoyed our hospitality.” Emperor was happy he had his son returned. So to all in attention from Caliban I think it’s time to for some diplomatic repairing. Lachesis I believe you had a vision about my son Brasil’s death and the firing of M.A.N.A.” The emperor got down from his throne and hugged his distance blood related cousin. “I apologize for that, it was a vision orchestrated by Irminsul.” Alexanna spoke.

Lachesis looked at Alexanna in utter shock, before she could speak Pavus stepped in. "Excuse me Lady Alexanna, as far I am aware and according to the late High Warlock Pater, Princess' vision is of random events of the future. How does Lord Irminsul have such a capacity to even affect precognition. Princess, you said the vision you obtain are random, as it could happen at anytime?" Lachesis only agreed, though Lionheart began to talk.

"Unless I am wrong, precognition works by looking through time, there's a possibility Lord Irminsul may had used his Space-Time Magic to affect precognition to only allow one vision of a particular timeline to be viewed, is that correct Irminsul?" Lionheart explained and then asked the Lord himself on his guess.

Irminsul went from his old man appearance back to his youthful appearance. Using Age a time-based Transformation Magic was easy for him. “What part of the God of Magic do you people not seem to understand? I control both space and time, life and death, reality and fiction and so many other powers. Just plant a vision or two, goad Caliban a little, mess with a few outcomes and with a snap of my fingers... presto-chango. I mean I could have destroyed Caliban we have the superior army, Warmages, and Magic Super Weaponry. BUT as Lachesis, Secundi, and other members of the Caliban Royal Family are mostly all my great-great-great-great-great-great-great give a generation or two grandchildren of mine. I didn’t seem fair to punishment them for the ideals of their founder Tyranus which was one of my sons. Over 750 years ago he was born to another woman yet the family-line made by Alexanna and myself had established the empire over two centuries before his birth. Tyranus was like 25th in like for the throne but wanted it and attempted a coup. He was defeated and I banished from Gemma. He would later conquer Caliban and make it into an unified kingdom.”

Caerleon spoke up. “My apologies Lady Alice. But while Irminsul did force Lachesis to have her vision he didn’t create it. It needed to be a natural possibility. He only forced the one that would likely happen so those events would transpired so we could have a better handle on the outcomes. But I understand your grandson being kidnapped was not an outcome we wanted. But Lachesis shall we put you on the throne of Caliban?” Alexanna was miffed she grabbed Irminsul by the ear. “Just how many woman and men did you bring to our bed?!” Alexanna knew her husband had other relationships after her supposed death but she did not know just... how many. It truly was funny yet terrifying even Alice seems a little worried.

"I suppose so, my brother did attempt to fill me on political affairs and all, but there is one slight problem." Lachesis looked towards Secundi for his queue to continue.

"You see, it was only recently Caliban began to exercise more magical authority thanks to the South Lord Pater, due to his efforts in magic he created some protective barriers." Hologram screens from Archive appeared thanks to Parvus, showcasing City of Caliban surrounded by a domed energy field." Pater created a complex system of Barrier Magics that protects the City and the Castle from both physical and magical assaults. Pater understood Gemma's position as a magical superpower, and so devised the barriers to be more stronger against magic." The hologram then showcased the Cardinal Gods and four lacrima crystals. "Emperor, the barrier is maintained by four lacrima crystals fueled by the magic power of the Cardinal Gods. While that barrier is operational, no arcane assaults can penetrate it, however," Secundi then looked towards Alice and Irminsul, "I am not sure if the barrier can hold your powers--" Then he was cut off by Lionheart.

"Forgive me, but the barrier was constructed under my supervision. Lord Irminsul, I am not sure how strong you became since my exile, I believe by reputation a lot, however during that time I informed Pater on your capabilities of that time and estimated your growth to a extent. I gave the information to him created a barrier that can hold off you during wartime. Though I do beg to question if it can truly hold, considering my disciple did got wounded by the third ranked warmage." Then Lachesis continued.

"You see Lady Alice, Lord Irminsul and Emperor, I wish to not bring fear and discord to the City with a frontal magical assault. I believe we need to attack the lacrima crystals since they're the conduits to the barrier. As long that barrier is up, we can not stop the king. Once more, there is also my uncle, Lord Albus Aquilo, he's the bigger problem right now thanks to his scientific research and a relic he collected from Fiore." However Parvus then walked forward towards the three, standing next to Lachesis.

"I may also add the Southern Lord had hired assassins from the Death's Head Order, one of them was to kill the prince however I was able to protect him. It'll be hard to do anything with assassins in the shadows. And also..." A thought crossed her mind that made have a feeling of deep regret and sadness. "Can we please hurry the process, I want to get to the mansion before anything bad happens."

Irminsul had gotten Alexanna to calm down. “We already have an attack plan. One Warmage will take one Cardinal each with 100,000 Gem Soldiers. The remaining five Warmages will attack the capital city with a two million Gem Soldiers along with the other five million soldiers from the allied nations. This war will be over and I will destroy Tyranus’s legacy. I gave the kingdom 700 years to end their conquering legacy. No more, I have Alexanna back. But we also will deploy the Endless, M.A.N.A, of Eden. The barrier you talk is powerful and would take some power even for Alice or me to penetrate but we could do it. But why waste our Grand Ethernano when one shot from the M.A.N.A cannon or the Endless could remove it. As all the Superweapons were made or enchanted with Grand Ethernano. The Warmages will battle these Cardinals and if by some low chance fail than we will resort to Superweapons”

Caerleon spoke up. “But Lachesis if we kill Atreus and put you on the throne. Would you agree to the terms we gave him? Acknowledgment that Caliban started the battles and war against Gemma and surrender all attempted future conquests against Gemma other no war, only full annihilation. As we could destroy Caliban but that would kill its millions of innocent of citizens.” Caerleon waited for Lachesis response.

"To be fair, I wish to have small teams to infiltrate the capital, not a whole army. Why have a army when there is a much better option. I rather make Caliban a peaceful nation without violence or bloodshed, that also means there must not be a massive assault. Warmages will go to take out the Cardinals with the men they have. However I must object to the five million soldiers attacking the capital! The Cardinals are indeed powerful, but we do have another Slayer there, I think you met him sometime ago. He's Daedalus, a God Slayer just like the Fire Cardinal. And I also do not want the city to enter into a panic, that'll disrupt everything."

Caerleon usually aimed for a more peaceful resolution to such things. But he had exhausted his patience. “My battle plan will commence, this is war and it’s bloody, horrific, and above all necessary. Even if we would take Atreus out with your plan and even publicly executed him, the other noble families of Caliban would attempt to take power. It would be civil war for decades, which more people would die than an assault by us. Don’t you see, it’s psychological warfare. Such an overwhelming military presence and the Warmages of Gemma, the remaining Seven Sages of Saõ, the Great Knights of Vasparia, the Elemental Guards of Iostyane, and other elite group of mages. Caliban will be outgunned and outnumbered by such a force, the people will take Atreus out for us. And if they don’t such a force will make for a quick enough end, as such an overwhelming force will simply overcome the nation quickly like a tsunami on a coastline town. I understand your desire to see your citizens and land not tarnished by war. But my goal isn’t the destruction of Caliban but simply to end the bitter history between them.”

Edward Fleming the 6th Ranked Warmage and smartest person on the continent appeared in the throne room. “If I might interject my Emperor, but with the Superweapon Eden we could execute both plans. We could use it as a base for which the citizens of Caliban could hide. Eden is a moving, size-changing, and Flying Fortress created by me. It can hold as many people as we want as I made rooms that the inside are as big as cities. It can even teleport people to it and inside it. Now despite our ability to penetrate that barrier, each method would still do massive damage to large portions of the kingdom. Even if the barrier did withstand some of a blast from M.A.N.A the blast would still cause several city miles worth of damage. So we should ready our select four Warmages to take out the Cardinals. Then have our army and the allied nations read to response accordingly. Now Lachesis which Cardinal is the strongest and what are their Magics?” Asked Edward, however Secundi began to answer.

"Sir Edward allow me to explain them. As it stands, Ignis Deus is the strongest Cardinal, many refer to him as the Fire God of Destruction due to his incredible black flames to be said to burn as hot as the sun. If anything, Ignis will be our biggest obstacle and his even the Praetor of the Southern Chapter, and be warned he also is a God Slayer of Fire. Next one is Aqua, the Cardinal God of the North, he just second to Ignis whoholds aspect of Water. The third is Auster Deus of the East, the third strongest the strongest Wind Magic user. And finally, the most peaceful and compassionate of the Cardinals is Terra Deus the West, the Cardinal God over the Earth. To be frank, Terra is the most diplomatic of the Cardinals and can be communicated towards without violence and since he's also a dear friend, I ask to not bring harm to him. Now there is also one more being who represents the very centre of the Cardinal directional compass which is Daedalus, the court wizard of the Caliban Court. He's also a God Slayer over the Sky and the Aether, do not underestimate him." Secundi looked towards Parvus, who she understood what he wanted and she used Archive to project four equipment (Trident, Shield, Hammer and a staff). "The primary problem lies in their equipment, I do not know what they are, but Parvus can explain it better." Secundi gave her the queue to continue who she began to speak.

"Thanks to Pater, he granted me information involving these four. The weapons holds many names, Holy Tools, Divine Constructs, it's these four we need to be worry most about. According to what I read, they're incredible weapons capable of exerting and bringing out more magical power then they can without them. Ignis uses a shield known as Aegis where legend has it, is capable of blocking any magical attack directed at him. Aqua's Trident allows him full authority over Water Magic, including the seas, lakes, ponds and the moister in the atmosphere with some saying even Blood Magic is a possibility. Auster's weapon is a massive hammer involving the wind, he can throw it at high-speeds as it holds the Commandment of Current, which allows it to fly without any resistance in the atmosphere, it's the fastest weapons in Caliban due to that. Terra's weapon is a staff that allows him command the earth and flora, it was said he stopped desertification in the west due to this Holy Tool and saved many species from going extinct." Parvus looked at Secundi as Archive gets disabled.

"The first three Cardinals we need to find ourselves, but we can ask the Eastern Lord, my uncle for Terra's location. Is that good, any questions?" Secundi concluded. "While Magi is the Lord of the East, both he and Terra had commune to each other for some time, and I know we can get Magi to help us. Currently however thanks to the war, there is a national regional lockdown, and so we need to go through military channels to reach to the East. Whoever is going to find Terra, will need to speak to me to bypass the tightened security thanks to the new branch, the Eastern Chapter Air Force."

Within moments the remaining Warmages had come in. For the first time in years all Nine Warmages were in attendance in one room. “Greeting Warmages.” Spoke the emperor. “As you know we are now planning a full on scale attack of Caliban. They have suspected an attack of some kind for a long time now. So instead of trying to match our superior fighting power, military force, and mages. They attempt to stop us with powerful barrier with four powerful guardian mages called Cardinal Gods to weaken us. However, we have secrets that will win the war. However, to avoid the complete unnecessary bloodshed of the Magic Superweapons, I will dispatch one Warmage to take each Cardinal out. The remaining five will attack the capital city the moment the barrier is down. I know, most of you are properly asking why not just storm the barrier when even not using Grand Ethernano most of you can destroy a city single-handedly and could likely penetrate it. This isn’t about showcasing power. It’s about reserving power so our enemies can not weaken us. Irminsul has approved this battle plan and the Allied Nations’ militia will follow as support. Now Lachesis without Lord Irminsul influencing your power which Warmage do you see defeating each Cardinal God?” Asked Caerleon.

Lachesis closed her eyes, and she opened then, her eyes glowing pure gold and something odd occured, a transparent figure of her appeared behind her and slowly vanished. "I see Wilhelm Wort taking on the Fire Cardinal, their pride shall clash as warriors. Colette Craw I see facing against Aqua, the Darkness of Caliban. Invel Yura shall face against Auster, the Composed One and finally" Lachesis looked towards Phoebe. "Phoebe, you shall go with my brother to met with the Compassionate Terra of the West. Is this agreed on?"

Wilhelm Wort was stoic as usual but cordial. “Yes, your majesty.” Invel was also stoic but more firm. “If that is the wish of my Lord Warmage and Emperor I shall execute it without exception.” Colette was rather... annoyed and rude. “Why me?! I wanted to storm the city it’s not fair...” Irminsul looked at her and she instantly stop and let out a quiet. “Fine, I will do it.” Lastly Phoebe joined in. “If that is the attack plan than so be it.” The other Warmages Irminsul, Alice, Rafael, Edward and Zavid went over the other details.

The Warmages and the Emperor left. Parvus, Kein, Torrhen, Secundi, and Alexanna went back to the library. Before anything else happened Lachesis had another vision but it was extremely powerful. Her eyes whitened, she started speaking with such a deep volume that it appeared the very heavens sent her as a messenger. “Spoke now in one day Caliban will fall. The bloodline of Atreus Caliban will fail and vanish. The Nine shall raze Caliban to below it’s very foundation. Strife will follow the continent of eternity. Seven other nations will be horrified by the Nine. Once allies now fierce nemesis will annihilate each other in one year’s time. In the years to come the spring of replenishing supreme magic will overflow, overwhelm, and consume the world. This is the end of Earthland.”

Alexanna was shocked by such a prophecy. “Heir Apparent Lachesis what was that?!”

"I--" Lachesis began to sweat profusely before having what seems to be a seizure before collapsing to the ground, Secundi instantly taking action as he dove to catch her before hitting the ground.

"Sister! What just happened, sister!" Secundi scaredly tried to awaken her, but to no avail. Parvus looked on with confusion and well with Kein. Secundi looked towards Irminsul. "Lord Irminsul, you just explained you had a hand in her visions with your Space-Time Magic, was this one of your doing? Until now, nothing like this occured, only minor headaches---" Kein quickly placed a hand his shoulder to calm him down.

"Settle down young prince, I am certain Irminsul wouldn't do such a thing towards her. We must get her to the infirmary incase anything drastic has occurred." Secundi looked at him before agreeing. "Lady Alexanna, would Edward be able to see to the princess' condition?" Kein asked Alexanna.

Irminsul looked at Lachesis. “No I didn’t influence this one.” Irminsul had created a Magic Gate way to the Mage’s Institute. Edward brought her and everyone back to the Mage’s Institute. “Hmm, what she experienced wasn’t a prophecy or even a vision in the most broadest terminology. She saw what her future self saw and felt. Irminsul using his Space-Time Magic to influence one of her visions unlocked her latent magical process that is shared as they are related. Her body wasn’t made to handle such Magic Power let alone Grand Ethernano. I will have to strengthen her body to withstand it. But everyone something is wrong. If this comes to pass we will need to alter the plan some.” Alice was frowning a bit. “But Wilhelm, Colette, Invel, and Phoebe are already on their way.”

Edward considered the prophecy. “If what was spoken was true, than all we have to do is either win the war sooner or later than one day. And without as much horrifying destruction. But Torrhen, Kein, Parvus, and Secundi you will remain here in the institute. Until I heal Lachesis it won’t be safe for her as what I will need to do with leave me almost powerless to defend her.”

"Sir Edward," Secundi began", Phoebe will still require my aid to the East to meet with the Eastern Lord, so I need to go with her to confirm things over with him. Lord Magi despite him being a rather open-minded guy, if I am not there, he'll be more cautious around the warmage, almost rudely actually." Parvus looks conflicted, as if she wanted to add something.

Portal stuff

Edward couldn’t move he was altering Lachesis’ body to withstand the new Magic Power she was holding. “My apologies I cannot help. But Irminsul used his portals to send them to Caliban. Perhaps he can do it again?” Irminsul using Age changed back to when he was a teenager. “Little trick with Space-Time Magic, it works best when I have time to add all the data into the spell. Opening doorways between space is complex. Most need a medium or simply teleports only so many. I can make portals to any reality. But usually I have more time to work out the spells. But I guess this one will have to do. He made a purple colored magic portal Irminsul was then smiling. “Little advice, don’t fall down.”

Secundi looked at Irminsul with some confusion, but shook that off and thought of it and looked towards the Warmage popstar. "Are you ready Lady Phoebe, let's head out." Secundi said as he began to march into the portal with Phoebe. "By the ways, do you know what he meant by 'not fall down'? Secundi soon after asked before something almost happened to him.

As Phoebe and Secundi went through the portal instead of it being like simply a doorway instantly moving between space, it instead opened to a pocket dimension. It was completely black save for a narrow walkway that extended forward about 500 feet toward another portal door. “Lord Irminsul might be able to control space and time but he needs to make preparations especially for instant travel. While regular teleport users could just move you instantly they have a limit to the distance. My Lord does not. But don’t fall into the darkness of the void. If you do no telling what world you might fall into if the void doesn’t just erase you.” They started walking.

Secundi looked over to the pitch abyss of the void as a chill went up his spine. "Does your master have any more scary spells? I mean seriously.. who uses this spell for travel, one wrong step and you're a goner." Secundi sighed as he walked across the narrow walkway. "Anyways, depending where we depart into, if your master used this to enter the East, we may encounter either the arm or the newly created air force. I'm hoping to meet the air force," Secundi looked over to the singer, "be a lot easier since I know more than half of the air operators personally. Anyways, once we enter the region, let me do the talking for now, be easier since they'll know me, is that alright?" Secundi asked her if she agrees.

Phoebe had a small smirk. “Yes Lord Irminsul is truly horrifying. And yes he has spells that would make this seem... well a safe place to stay.” As Phoebe and the rest got to the exit she stopped and looked back. “Now Secundi we should arrive at where the Air Force and Cardinal God I was assigned to deal with. Secundi you and whoever else has one chance to make them surrender if they don’t I have full clearance to stop them.” They exited the portal.

"Don't worry Lady Phoebe, the air force are trusted allies, they will be cautious but with me around they'll accept you." As they exited, they appeared in a forest land, leafs on the ground with many wildlife crawling about. "Welcome to the East--" However before he said anything, someone shouted at them, a voice of a young girl.

"Halt it right there!" A girl blonde girl looking no longer than 10 years old appeared before them along with seven other air operators appearing before them, but they soon realized who it was and they immediately landed and saluted the prince. "Forgive me prince Secundi, I did not realize it was you!" She stood at attention as the other followed, and the prince went to at ease them.

"Don't worry, just doing your duty during wartime lockdown, it's all fair." Secundi looked at Phoebe. "Lady Phoebe, allow me to introduce you to one of the four company commanders of the air force, Iuvenis Fordragon Ortus. Despite her appearance, she's one of the best soldiers the East has." Secundi then turned back to Iuvenis. "Lieutenant Commander, we're required a audience with the Eastern Lord, care to escort us to Dracon?" Iuvenis said it be a honour as the squad began to escort them to the capital city of the East Dracon. Upon arriving, Dracon appeared as an city more reminiscent to WWII-era Europe. As the group followed Iuvenis, many of the citizens looked over to see the famous Phoeve the singer. "Well, we're maybe somewhat enemies, but you're quite popular as a singer, though I am not sure if they know the fact you're a warmage, hahaha."

Battlefields & Compromises[]

Phoebe looked around and saw thousands of people. She waved to not alert any spark of fear or distress in them. But she had a job to do. “I heard that the Eastern Lord is the most.... reasonable of the Cardinal Lords. I do hope we can stop any bloodshed. After all I have sang songs all over Aeternum. I remember I have even sung in this city before, but that was before my status of a Warmage.” Phoebe knew that while she had greater Magic Power than anyone else in the city including the Cardinal God she still had to be cautious. The Cardinal God was powerful enough to prove a challenge especially if he attacked with other reasonably powerful combatants.

"Lord Magi should be in the main council building in this city of Dracon." Iuvenis informed both Phoebe and Secundi as she walked in an VIP position; it's a formation with the commander at the front, two shoulders besides them and one more behind them in the rear.

"Good to hear lieutenant commander, how far is it now currently?" Secundi asked the child solider.

"We're here actually." They came to a stop to a large building that looks more like a personal mansion. "I'll keave you two be and return tpo my duties." Iuvenis and her soldiers began to hover before flying away into the sky.

"I want one." Secundi stated as he went to open the doors.

As Phoebe and the rest entered the mansion, she made it to the dinning room. She and the rest sat down at a grand table and Magi sat at the head of the table. “Now on to business, my name is Phoebe Vastaril 5th Warmage and Songstress of Gemma. I was sent to deal with 1/4 of the Barrier that surrounds most of Caliban. I was told Lord Terra’s power is interconnected to the Lacrima that expands the barrier for hundreds of miles. Now as you know, that barrier could be brought down by the Warmages but it might be enough to weaken the Warmages long enough to increase Caliban’s plans. And we decided not to use the Superweaponary... yet. But Secundi and Lachesis here said he is the most... reasonable of the Cardinal Gods. So unless only defeating him would undo this portion of the barrier I would rather have this end... pleasantly.”

"I see now but allow me to also introduce myself. I am Lord Magi of House Ortus, and that is true, the barrier was conducted and created Lord Pater for his untimely death. Terra is indeed the most reasonable individual of the four." Magi turned to Secudi. "Prince Secundi, nephew, are you sure this the path you want to take?"

"I do uncle Secundi, as it's time for the kingdom to change its ways, beliefs and tradition once and for all, for the sake of not only the kingdom, but for the future generations." Secundi answered and Magi began to thought it over before coming an answer.

"Alright, I'll assist you in this endeavour and reveal the location of the mighty Earthern Cardinal... on one condition." Magi smiled. "You see, Gemma as captured some of my soldiers during this current conflict. I would very much like for their return in good condition. I don't mind any injuries left, as long any life threatening ones are treated, we can handle any other issues that can appear long-term." Magi then turned to Phoebe. "Can my troops be safely returned back to the East if I reveal Terra's location?" Magi questioned Phoebe.

Phoebe’s smile went to a slight frown. “You see, I would agree to many things to not have to battle. Sure the occasional battle keeps moves sharp and can be very invigorating. But I can’t promise that, I am only ranked 5th. Plus despite our absolute immunity to punishment from the Emperor we still have to concede to his degree regarding all else. And only him or Lord Irminsul can make such a concession of war. Even if I agreed to the Supreme Commander of the Warmages Irminsul could veto it or the Emperor himself. But I would say they would agree to it once this portion of the barrier is down. Lady Alice is able to read minds over a thousands miles. So once Lord Terra gets here we can discuss terms.”

Magi stood as he walked to an wall and simply stood there as he stared at it. After 5 minutes, he returned back to his seat. "I was able to gain communications with Terra, and he agreed to meet you both in Dracon, right here." Magi looked at Secundi and beckoned him to cover to him, and soon enough whispered into his ears.

Phoebe clasped her hands together. “Excellent I look forward to meeting this Lord Terra. If everything goes smoothly I might even sing for the people of this city.”

"Anyways Lady Phoebe, do you care for refreshments?" Magi inclined to ask. "There's a high chances Terra will send one of his two personal allies to convey some message before his arrival."

Phoebe was delighted. “Why yes I think I will take some refreshments. This is much more civil than what I anticipated. I assumed I would be attacked on the spot or a surprise attack. I would even assume my fellow Warmages are likely battling the other three Cardinal Gods now. And while I would still win... it doesn’t mean I would be the most desirable outcome. I prefer to use my magic in my concerts not for destroying cities or armies.”

"You be surprised in this kingdom, most of the hate stemmed from the influence of Caliban onto the other houses, however House Ortus does not follow that to the extent." Magi said as he walked towards a cabint and pulled out grounded coffee and other nessecities for making coffee. He'd then made two cups of coffee in the span of five minutes before returning. "I hope you like coffee, if not I can prepare tea or simple cold water?" Magi then presented a cup of coffee to her.

Magi return with sugar and cream as well. “Four teaspoons of sugar and one teaspoon of cream, is how I like my coffee.” Phoebe added the aforementioned sugar and cream and took a sip. “But I have a question. One that I’m surprised no one has asked or even talked about. Why does Caliban want the Wellspring?” Phoebe was alluring to the self-replenishing magical water spring of Grand Ethernano. “Yes the Wellspring does self-replenish and has for millennia been separate from the rest of Earthlands Magic, as it not only is filled with water created from Grand Ethernano. But also while the Ley Lines still filter out everything but Ethernano but even without them the spring doesn’t run out or become weaker. But that doesn’t mean it’s a useable resource.”

Magi then turned with a perplexed expression on his face. "I'm sorry, the wellspring? To be frank, the King hasn't really been straight forward with most of us Lords on the matter." Magi then sat over the otherwise as he drank his. "The King simply stated that Gemma was a threat to the integral structure of Caliban, and a conquest will save the kingdom. Due to the East's position, the East is one of the more common soldiers utilized against Gemma. However, the king never stated why specifically, only in vagueness. So to hear of this wellspring took me by surprise---" Magi then stopped mid-sentence as he began to have a thought and turned to one of the guardsman stationed in the room. "You there, please get Praetor Themistocles, I want to have a word with him." The soldier saluted as he went to gather the Praetor general.

Phoebe explained the purpose of the war. “King Atreus and all the previous monarchs have wanted to control Gemma. The Caliban house is a minor branch blood relation of the Gemma Imperial Royal Family. They believe they have the right to rule Gemma despite being far down in the line of succession. But they also want the Wellspring it and the Ley Lines makes Lacrima and other magical crystals and minerals are formed all over the Gemma country. It is why we are the wealthiest nation in Aeternum. But the Wellspring isn’t something anyone should use. It is like poison.”

Phoebe took another sip of her coffee. “It is too pure and un-bending in its nature. The Wellspring is approximately 10,000x times the power of Etherion and it is constantly self-replenishing. So it constantly releases Magic Power and self-replenishes in a delicate cycle. If someone would attempt to take too much, it could go in overdrive and that would cause ailments in the environment as it would be unstable and attempt to consume everything to turn it into Magic Power. If the wellspring wouldn’t release Magic Power it would eventually overflow and destroy the world. That is why we mine the Lacrima. It makes the Ley Lines and the Wellspring function normally in a cycle of destruction and creation. It took our Lord Irminsul centuries to understand the spring and even he states there is far more to learn. That there are secrets in those waters.” As she explained the spring someone walked in the dinner room.

Before Magi could answer, an soldier walked in. "Excuse me sir, Praetor Themistocles is here as you request." Magi nodded and gestered that he can walk, and soon enough a black haired man walked in his Army attire, however he looked like he's been a lot more then the war between Caliban and Gemma, he looked like he has more death and conflict then anyone in the room, worned out like a vetearn who seen too much.

"You wanted to see me Lord Magi?"

"I did, please come sit down." As Themistocles sat down, there being four lunges around a coffee table, he noticed Phoebe sitting across Magi and instantly recognizes who it is, and looked at his Lord.

"Battlemaster, may I ask why is there a warmage here?" He questioned as Magi took a sip and placed his now empty cup on the table.

"Praetor, we're childhood friends since the military academy, as Praetor you hold the King's greatest trust one could potentially have besides being knighted by him." Magi looked at his Praetor. "Tell me, has the King told you anything about the circumstances, because Phoebe here informed me on some things." Themistocles looked at Magi and then at Phoebe before sighing in a tired way, almost exhausted.

"Forgive me Battlemaster, it was kept to utmost secrecy, as Praetor I hold greater military authority then even you, but I trust you to the point I granted you the rank position of Battlemaster, a four-star rank in the military. However it seems there's some internal conflicts brewing and I am foremost, aligned to the East so I'll tell you as a friend." Themistocles sighed as he rubbed his eyes. "Yes, he told me as well the other Praetors on certain matters, situations and conditions on why they're against Gemma, as well as other secrets. While I do not understand fully on the situation between the two nations, I do know this; Northern Praetor, or the Northern Lord succeded in creating certain armaments, not just the Railway Gun, but others much more powerful instruments of destruction."

Phoebe finished her coffee and put the cup on the table. “Let me get down to business.” Phoebe while respectable enough she still was a Warmage and had business to do. “Lord Pater I believe. I was sent to end this portion of Caliban’s barrier that surrounds the country. Will you discuss terms or will you engage in a battle? The end result is the same, it’s a matter of timing and I have concerts to perform over the next several months all around Aeternum. My schedule is booked.” Phoebe waited for his answer.

"Well.." Before Themistocles could respond, the door opened revealing a young dark-skinned elf with green (right) and blue (blue) on each eye, who then proceeded to introduce herself to the three.

"Hello there, I am Tyr sent by Terra to relay a message!" Tyr announced, and awaited confirmation to go on, which Magi gestured for her to continue. "He's here." As soon Tyr stated this, an elderly man in grey robes walked in with a long staff of sorts, and long white beard.

"Greetings there Lord Magi and Praetor Themistocles, and I see the warmage Phoebe has also came to greet me specifically I believe." Terra kinda introduced himself as he walked in. "I know why you're here warmage, the barrier around that of the city central. I would love to simply drop it, means I can continue my duty in preservation of fauna and flora.. but by right of contract assigned to me, I can not simply drop it cause you asked so." Terra declared his intentions clearly.

Phoebe looked at Terra. It wasn’t contempt, shock, disappointment, or even annoyance. It was more... elegant for lacking a better explanation. “Oh well, I assumed that bit about being reasonable was exaggerated somewhat. So what now? Do I need to render you unconscious or do I need to end your life? If we Warmages don’t bring down the barrier soon enough, Caerleon will either have Lord Irminsul and Lady Alice have their... fun or won’t care about civilian life anymore and just have the Magic Superweaponary do the dirty work.” Phoebe was curious as to why a contract would bind someone that held such respect for the flora and fauna. However, she ultimately only cared as it related to her duties.

"It is simply as a defeat, while death will drop it, but you do not need to kill us to defeat us." Terra informed her, as he turned around. "If we were to do battle, lets head to the Battlegrounds, from there we can fight to our fullest intent." Terra then gestured for Tyr to follow as he looked at Magi and Phoebe. "I am sure Lord Magi can show you the way." Terra said before leaving with Tyr.

Phoebe got up from her chair. “So shall we proceed to this battlefield? However, be forewarned my fighting style is very.... deadly. There is a reason I am called the Songstress of Gemma. My literal voice can bring armies and even entire cities to ruin.”

"Don't you fret Phoebe, let me assure you that Terra might be your biggest you ever have. Tyr, please use your scroll to open an Gate to the Battlegrounds." Magi requests as Tyr used Requip to summon a large scroll almost half the size she is.

"You got it!" Tyr then proceeded to open the scroll as it glows, revealing an magic formula before a "gate" manifested. "Through this Gate, is the Battlegrounds, Lord Terra is waiting you." Tyr told Phoebe as the Gate opens.

As Phoebe walked through the Gate followed behind her was Kein and Secundi. “How far are we from the city. I rather not have them hear my true voice. It can be as elegant as a choir but as bloody as a fierce scream. My fans shouldn’t have to hear it.”

"From what I hear, the Battlegrounds is situated far from any settlements or population, it's a arena for battles to the death by warriors." Secundi explained, as Kein simply walked back, not getting in the way.

Phoebe instantly put the point of her rapier at Terra’s face. “Galdr ( ガルドル , Garudoru, Lit. Old Norse Spellwork and Song), you are filled with unbearable pain.” Her spell made Terra get down on one knee. “You see now. With a word or even a sound I can make you believe whatever I want you to believe. All sounds in the world belong to me. However, your Magic Power is great enough that it can withstand me simply voicing your death to happen. But I can still captivate your heart to believe your in massive bone breaking agony.”

Terra slowly raised to stand as he raise his staff at Phoebe as he breathed slightly. "This is simply called... Was" Terra stated as the staff glow as the earth around them both began to shift and move about. "I am Terra of the Earth.. The earth is my domain..." Terra stated as he slowly sank into the ground, almost identical to the Great Tree Arc magic. "As a courtesy, I use what one refers as the Great Earth Arc, the magic I use. It allows me to merge with the earth." Terra said as he sank to the ground just before he caused the earth around Phoebe to rise forming two cubes to crush her.

Phoebe jumped back quickly missing the cubes... but only by a few moments. She realized that despite her Magic Power being greater it doesn’t shield from attacks especially powerful ones. “Impressive but you seem not to understand when I say all the sounds of the world belong to me. Silent World ( サイレントワールド, Sairentowārudo Lit. World of Absolute Silence). Suddenly Phoebe disappeared.. or did she a small cut appeared on Terra’s cheek not even something that would scar. Phoebe then suddenly appeared. “Lord Terra I believe that is sufficient to prove my point. I can capitalize the hearts of entire armies to even a city. Which hypnotizes them to believe whatever I want them to believe and their mind makes it happen. But I can also seal all the sounds of the world around me. Even the sounds of your thoughts. If you can’t hear the thoughts you have they don’t register in your mind. So your mind could not hear the thoughts where I was and so it could not understand what it is seeing so it sees nothing at all. All the Warmages have an Aspect of War to illustrate their powers or personalities. My Aspect of War is Espionage.”

"You may control sound my dear, but that wont stop me from being belittled. I have not lived for this long and not trained in various forms to counter some aspects of magic." Terra then turned to face her. "However, I am not that much for combat but diplomancy, but my contract dictates I can not surrender, only defeat in battle shall I truly surrender." Terra then raised his staff Was. "Allow me to sure you my full capability." Terra breathed as he began to excert high degree of magical power before saying one word. "Amenonuhoko." The earth began to glow as a five-layer magic circle formed above them. "Allow me to show you the apex spell of the Great Earth Arc, the spell of creation and destruction, if this fail to do any form of damage upon you, I will surrender as this means my combat prowess wont be enough." Terra calmy said a beam of intense light fired from beneath their feet and into the sky.

As the smoke cleared and the wreckage of the Battleground was revealing there was Phoebe. Her white coat was vaporized and appeared that she fell toward the ground... However, there was clapping in the stands. “Impressive Lord Terra.” Spoke Phoebe?! As Terra looked back at the person on the ground it was Kein. “Before it gets confusing, Kein wanted to test his newly reforged with Grand Ethernano armor. And I needed this to go smoothly as possible. So I gave him my coat and rapier then used sound to hypnotize you into believing Kein was me. All while casting spells from the stands. I told you my Aspect of War is Espionage.” Phoebe jumped from the stands and as she landed grabbed her rapier. How are you Kein?”

Kein stretched his arm out. "I'm fine, though I still felt that." Terra sighs as hie rubbed his face as Kein and Phoebe looked over.

"This is why combat is such a bothersome thing to do." Terra then conceded defeat as he walked over, his staff vanishing. To be fair, I expected my death to be here, but even a warmage seems to show some semblance of honor. I'll consider this a defeat, and disconnect myself from the Western Lacrima." Terra nodded his head as glowing lines formed on his hands and face before vanishing. "It is done, Western lacrima is now defuncted, only three remains."

Phoebe looked disappointed. “Aww, while I might not be the most battle crazed Warmage, a good battle is invigorating. But my mission is to put down this part of the barrier. However, I need something else specifically from you. I need you to confirm something.” Phoebe handed Terra a note with a name. It said Magnus Orchard the name of Irminsul. “As the Warmage of Espionage it is my job to know all the secrets of my nation and my enemies. So long ago I hypnotized him to reveal his name. As even forgotten it remains there in his memory of his subconscious. I don’t want it to be used against him. All his memories from before his 10th birthday have never been known. I wish to know what happened but I couldn’t hypnotize him to reveal what happened all those centuries ago. But you commune with Earthland. Maybe it can tell you.”

"May I ask why you wish to do this?" Terra questioned. "Secrets are secrets, not meant for those the Keeper to reveal towards. I'm a reasonable man, but I don't want to reveal when they do not. Give me a reason why this must be known?"

Phoebe opened her arms and span around. “All of Caliban as it is today is a direct result because Irminsul. His son Tyranus of a branch-bloodline was banished from Gemma from trying to overthrow the emperor from the main bloodline. In turn Tyranus took control over the nation and renamed it Caliban. So all of Caliban was influenced by Irminsul. However, despite his grandmastery of his Magic, I fear if someone were to reveal what happened on that day he could become unstable. Image the shock of traumatic memories returning after almost 1000 years. People in all the nations of Aeternum have tried to find out for years. I need to make sure this doesn’t become a weapon an enemy can use against Lord Irminsul.”

"In any words, when you learn this secret, you wish to see if the descendents of Tyranus knows it, and thus you can take precautions incase they do?" Terra tried to see if he understands the motivations behind knowing on this secret.

Phoebe felt like she didn’t have to explain her but proceeded to. “Lord Terra, how I wage war differs from all other Warmages.” Phoebe, Kein, and Terra sat on the stands and looked at the wreckage of the battleground. “All the Warmages represent a type of war aspect. Invel is Dedication as he mastered Ice-Magic to freeze cities and even miles passed for his dedication to whatever nation he believes in. Colette is Entitlement as she believes her noble status gives her privileges and uses Light-Magic to shine those entitlements. Zavid is Assassination, for he learned many types of magic that allows him to be a master assassin. Edward is Progression for his mind and Magic is best suited for progressive endeavors. Rafael is Vengeance as whatever kind of Darkness Magic he uses gives vengeance on the emperor’s enemies. Wilhelm is Pride and it is this pride that allows him to be the commander of the entire Gemma military. Alice is Madness for her massive power and complexity in her spells makes madness. Lastly Irminsul is Despair, for his massive power and cruelty manifests despair in his enemies.”

Phoebe then stand up. “Whatever aspect they represent is something that causes, continues, happens during or happens after war. But mine is a little different. I represent Espionage and that aspect is even more hidden than assassins. We seek the binding knowledge that holds or breaks nations. I know all of Gemma’s secrets and will never betray them. But Lord Irminsul created the system of the empire. So to keep the foundations strong I need him to not have any weaknesses in his subconscious. The more I know the easier it will be to make him have a positive outcome and one less possible weapon to be used against the Empire.” Phoebe declared her intentions.

Terra simply sighed but accepted it anyways as he lowered himself to the ground and placed his hands on the soil. He closed, as if concentrating on some aspect of the earth. After a total of five minutes, he stood up and looked towards the warmage. "I had asked the earth, and the earth was able to give some certain information about the Magic God." Terra raised his staff and both he and Phoebe was suddenly swepted into an darkened void, leaving Kein and Secundi. "Sorry about that, it best to not allow those two to hear, since it is a secret." Terra coughed. "Now, Irminsul - Magnus Orchard, on his tenth birthday, the father attempted to manifest, summon an god during the civil war at the time, he hoped the power of the god will help them defend and win the civil war. However due to the ley lines, it affected all the god in a negative light. As the god appeared, it's power began to 'malfunction' for lack of a better term, due to these ley lines. But due to this malfunction, the magic has caused a devestating event where over 40,000 people - ally, enemy, civilian all perished but He - Irminsul was left alive. This ordeal then caused him to black out, and subsequently forgotten as it was too painful to remember upon."

Phoebe stood still.. then pointed her rapier and rushed at a great speed. It appeared that she would stab Lord Terra... but no. She instead stabbed someone else. At first the tip of the rapier vanished but then light blended around and revealed Albus Aquilo the Head Chief of the Northern Laboratory. “Using some device to be invisible? It would have worked had you also hid your Magic Power. It was a noticeable as a forest fire. Lord Terra, what shall we do with this... person?” Phoebe held the rapier in his chest and were Albus move to pull it out she would dive it deeper to his heart.

Before Terra could answer, an large greatsword suddenly appeared from the forests as it flew towards Terra and Phoebe, almost hitting them as they easily dodged the incoming attack. "Took you long enough, but I did ordered you to not interfer." Albus said as an armoured man without a head, but carrying a helmet in its left hand emerged and went to walk besides Albus.

"I am sorry my Lord, but I can not allow sucyh insolence!" The headless man declared loudly as he picked up his greatsword. "Besides, that hit struck one of your hearts, the experiment is not yet complete, and so you can not die early."

"Considering they attacked the Cardinals first, I know they're plan of actions, I had already mobilized the infantry units to secure the other Cardinals, including the special forces unit of the androids." Albus looked at Phoebe. "It'll be your mistake to not take out the lacrima first and secure the king, now I am fully commitment on pouring everything against the East and your allies."

.... Phoebe wiped the rapier on the ground as if to repel the lesser blood it had on it. “Stupid foolish little children you all are. Haven’t you realized yet? You all have lost! We are vastly stronger than any of you. You preach to conquer but you couldn’t conquer your own weakness. With my words everything that has passed today will be forgotten but Terra will continue his surrender, Galdr.” Phoebe had hypnotized everyone to forget why they were there but left the memory that Terra surrendered thus deactivating the Lacrima linked with him. Phoebe had left.

As everyone stood there, somewhat confused in a daze on the suppose objective, but understood on Terra. However before anyone could get a sense of bearing, Nemty began to laugh profoundly after having impaled Terra with Hauteclaire. "That stupid ass woman! She was mighty she forgot there are those not so easily swayed by SOUND MAGIC!" Terra coughed up up as blood began to form around his chest, Secundi and Kein looked on in horror as Albus wiped his face, trying to figure out what just happened. "She was so up herself she forgotten about the warnings done by Secundi and Magi." Nemty then pulled the sword out and kicked Terra away, to which Kein instantly grabbed. Kein looked up and before he could react, Secundi warped them back to Dracon with his Space Magic. Nemty lowered his weapons as he moved his head, held by his left hand at Albus. "Allow me to clarify what just happened.. my Lord."

Hours earlier before the fight betwern Terra and Phoebe, Auster Deus, the Wind Cardinal was simply walking through the East, not a care in the world with his massive warhammer over his shoulders. Auster was informed by Erika Chambers that he was going to be faced by a Warmage of the Gemma Empire. Due to this, he purposely allowed his magic signature to eclipse around him, hoping to be located as soon as possible to get the fight over with.

As Auster constantly released his Magic Power to be located, Wilhelm Wort was searching for his target. Which just so happened to be Auster. However, Wilhelm even as the 3rd Ranked Warmage was cautious in his actions. He was a knight after all and had to retain a sense of decorum. As Wilhelm walked around the with his legion or Gem Soldiers and other soldiers from the Allied Forces he noticed something. He sensed Auster’s Magic Power.

Wilhelm suddenly looked around and saw on a small hill Auster. He jumped to be on equal ground with him. “Greetings Cardinal God Auster, I am Wilhelm Wort of the Gemma Empire 3rd Ranked Warmage. I have come to ask you to surrender as to avoid civilian casualties. You will be placed under arrest until such time the stability of the relations between the Kingdom of Caliban and the Gemma Empire has improved. Please cooperate and this will be painless.”

Auster stared as he towered over Wilhelm, obviously being over eight feet tall, taller and larger then the average human. The massive stone-looking hammer over his shoulders with black intricaticies across both his forearms. "No." Auster simply said as he rished Wilheim and going to slam his monolithic hammer down onto the Warmage.

Wilhelm pulled out his sword it was ornate. It was long but light enough to be used singlehanded. He pulled the blade above his head and stopped Auster’s hammer. Despite Wilhelm’s slim build he was surprisingly tone and wasn’t weak. He held his sword and it didn’t drop, even while the ground around Wilhelm started to break apart.

”So the painful way it is.” Wilhelm slashed and repelled Auster and his hammer off himself. “Why must all of you of Caliban love the hard? So let’s see what you idolize. War Magic.” Wilhelm knew several kinds of magic to deal with armies and individuals one of them was War Magic. This particular Magic required the target to idolize something as most fight to protect something they idolize. From people, places, things, even ideals of anything can be idolized. Wilhelm’s Magic transfers the belief that following him is the best option to protect whatever they idolized. The stronger someone believes in something easier it is to influence them.

However Auster simply stared. "I idolize... nothing in this world, what is there to idolize?." Auster then leaped back, having jumped at least 10 feet away from Wilhelm. The hammer then began to "vibrate" as veins forms around the hilt and its blunt area before Auster began to pull back and soon enough, threw the massive hammer at Wilhelm.

Wilhelm could have repelled the war hammer but instead just stood still. Suddenly dozens of Caliban soldiers ran up to block the war hammer. Several of them were killed while others were maimed. The hammer didn’t reach him. “Everyone idolizes, admires, loves, etc something. You like not believing in something, that is what you idolize. However, such ideals are tricky to influence. So instead I influenced your guard of Caliban soldiers. I turn an enemies’ armies against themselves.”

Auster begins one of his ultimate attacks

The hammer despite being hit by the soldiers, still took it into the air as it was redirected by the sudden inteference of the Caliban troopers. However regardless, the hammer flew into the sky and do a full 180 as it head directly towards Auster. The Cardinal ran forward, proceeding to catch it and using its momentum to not only gain increase velocity and speed, span around as he redirected kinetic energy equal to 1 megaton of tnt, intending on using the crushing force of the Holy Tool embued by an god to cause serious harm on the warmage, while expecting him to not known this technique.

Wilhem damaged

Wilhelm took his shield out and took the force of Auster’s attack. Blood appeared to flow out of Wilhelm’s body. “Impressive... truly... that one was truly an impressive attack. But it still isn’t enough. What you do to me is pointless.” Suddenly all the remaining Caliban soldiers suddenly started bleeding and then Auster had moderate injuries mirroring Wilhelm’s. “Law of One, is a Magic created by the Wort Family. It is even older than Irminsul himself. It’s symbolic that the law is supposedly suppose to be held equally by everyone. So when you hurt me, you end up hurting yourself.”

Auster simply stared, somewhat impressed he actually survived the attack, an attack almost equal to an several Uranus Cannon blasts in terms of power. Auster then fixed his poster. "You more formiddable then the legends say Warmage. To not only take moderate damage is enough to warrant praise." Auster then raised his hammer towards him, holding it as if it was as light as a feather. "This is a Holy Tool known as Aethas, a ancient war hammer, it carries all of the cyclones, tornados and hurricanes of the world due to the God within it. I suppose.. it's time to awaken it." Auster said as an anonymous presence began to fill the area as the hammer radiant a black glow. "I underestimated you warmage, but here I come." Auster smirke as he rushed the man again, except the hammer now exhibits more magic power then it did a few seconds ago, using the left face to aim at the warmage's face.

Wilhelm understood was Auster with his Holy Tool was pushing out Magic Power rivaling his own. So he had to stop using philosophical based attacks and had to unleash his more powerful and direct kind of attacks. However, before he could react a light golden aura of light appeared around him. It immensely reduced the Holy Tool’s impact causing only minor injuries but that still hurt as Wilhelm was already injured somewhat. While Wilhelm was thrown back the same amount of damage appeared on Auster due to Law of One. “My my, how pathetic Ser Wilhelm Wort. To think you haven’t defeated this abomination is shameful. I suppose I will have to lend my assistance.” Aine Euryphresea appeared on the battlefield. Her Magic Power was far superior to Auster or Wilhelm’s being in the class of Irminsul and Alice.

Auster then had a emotion he believed would never resurface, the feeling was of shock, confusion, fear, intrigued, and even ... hope. Auster then leapt back from the two as he look at Aine, and began to focus on Aine. "Lady Ariel, honestly... I believed seeing you in-person was a simply dream never to come, but here you are... Why did you come here, and interrupt out battle Lady?" Auster for the first time, had actually shown respect and dignity.

Aine while respectful and diplomatic wasn’t a fool. She understood that diplomacy wasn’t possible with the current Royal administration. So she tried to ensure a peaceful transition of one of Caliban’s more... peaceful Royal Family members. “You can feel any which way you want about me. I am not one of the Warmages. I rather dislike war. Of course, a battle of two combatants of consent is simply entrainment to be enjoyed. But this to spill blood on any side of a failure of diplomacy. I have failed to uphold my duty as Gemma’s diplomat. So instead I will uphold my other duty. While I might not or even want the status of a Warmage, I am one of Gemma’s protectors. The emperor personally asked me to aid the soldiers. As you see Ain Soph Aur is extremely powerful.”

Aine

Aine jumped into the air and released her Magic Power releasing immense beautiful light. “Now spread!” Aine’s light spread across Caliban for over a thousand kilometers. Which covered several hundred of thousands of Allied Force’s soldiers and several Warmages in a shroud of light. “Believe whatever you desire, but understand this. The only mages in 800 years to defeat Ain Soph Aur were the Great Lord Irminsul and the Great Lady Alice Flor and they had to use their strongest spells at their fullest potential.” As Aine fell back to the planet she also covered herself with golden light.

As Wilhelm was slowly being healed by the power of Ain Soph Aur it also began healing Auster. “There it is, Justice!” Wilhelm used Justice a Magic to force someone to feel the hidden guilt, shame, or regret of their actions. “With your myriad of emotions from seeing Aine and Law of One, you might finally have enough shame, regret, or guilt for Justice to force you to understand your actions.”

Auster looked over. "I already felt regret and despair for my actions.. But the contract will not allow me to simply surrender, the defense of Caliban is an ancient tradition dating back to Remus Caliban before Romulus killed him." Auster sighs as he looked at the two. "Only way to end this fight, is the death of myself." The wind around Auster began to get roughy and faster around.

Aine smirked. “So the big Cardinal God is just like everyone else. You bury your negative emotions until they overflow and diminish yourself. Just look at yourself, I appeared on this battle field and you basically lost in your shock and bewilderment. Such a person of such weak resolve is easy to defeat.” Wilhelm then with his sword ran towards to cut off Auster’s head.

Wilhelm running towards Auster with high speed, however thanks to his advanced Wind Magic, he would use Aethas to block the incoming blow to his neck, and soon after would use his Wind Magic with his left in his attempt to send the warmage into the air, granting him potential advantage to land a direct hit with his hammer.

Wilhelm alt form

Wilhelm could have moved out the way as he had the maneuvers but decided for the attack to hit. Wilhelm was thrown back. “Now is the time. War Magic, Justice, Law of One, and finally now behold what sets me above the lesser Warmages... Punishment!” Wilhelm transformed his clothes vanished and his Magic Power created new ones while adding mystical aesthetic to him.

“War Magic influences others to side with me, Justice make others feel their crimes, Law of One everyone suffer as I suffer, and finally Punishment empowers me from all my trauma. It represents that victims have the right to deal out the punishment they suffer. So I created this Magic. It releases the full power of Magic Power and magnifies my speed, physical strength, endurance, and five senses. So I can dish out the trauma that much easier. I am releasing all these Magics at once. Any soldier that comes to your aid will turn to my side. Justice will paralyze anyone else with their regret. Law of One will injury everyone around me if you hurt me. Lastly Punishment will strengthen me. This is the power of the White Knight!” Wilhelm shot his palm at Auster and his increased strength and speed shot out an incredible fast air cannon blast at Auster.

Despite using his hammer to block, he was still sent flying back, being pushed by the sheer strength as he went slammed into a nearby boulder. He then coughed up blood as he wiped it, looking back at wilhelm. He then threw the hammer upwards, with his strongest technique being prepared, but something amist as his both arms glows black, the intricate pattern forming on his forearms soon spread across his body. "Get ready Wilhelm." Auster began to sprint towards him with the hammer flying directly behind him. Flipping, he grabbed his hammer before finally showing an angered expression, the battle having his emotions rise from being "dormant" and began to use all of his strength carried by the hammer and his own physical strength down at the warmage.

Wilhelm could have moved but then decided.. not to.. again. He put his hand up and stopped the hammer. “You are strong... but I’m stronger.” He then snapped his fingers and released a explosion of air released near point blank range.

The air released suddenly at such a short range, point black had him let go of his hammer as he flew back, landing on his back as the hammer soon enough went to embed itself onto the earth, a quarter of it actual hammer part under ground. Auster then began to get up in kneeling position as he looked at the warmage, panting slightly.

Wilhelm then put the palm of his hand at Auster’s face. “You did put up a respectable battle. To force me to use Punishment is extremely impressive. But the distance in power is still too wide. So I guess I will have to deal with you as you simply can’t or won’t surrender.” He flicked Auster’s forehead with a finger, knocking him out cold.

As Wilhelm knocked out Auster, two armoured individuals wearing a trench coat of sorts and a long rifle appeared behind the large boulder from before, pointing their rifles at the warmage. The two armed individuals are wearing helmets concealing their identity. One of the two, the larger individual gestured with its hand for the warmage to step back.

Wihelm stepped back and deactivated Punishment as it was a very costly magic even for the power of a Warmage. “So two down and two to go.” Wilhelm was tired and almost couldn’t balance himself. “So has the lacrima been deactivated?” Asked Aine.

Out came from between the two was the Archmaid Jaselle Krüger, with an long ride strapped to her back and wearing quite a armoured maid outfit with a eyepatch over he left eye and a camouflage scarf, and she walked past the two other individuals as she looked at the warmage and Aine before stepping. "Yes, as you did so, the lacrima is deactivated." The Archmaid informed them before going silent for a moment before asking, "are you not going to question who we are?"

Wihelm and Aine both looked at this with a look of blankness. “What purpose would that serve? Logically your or some kind of support or assistance in some manner. Not to mention you could lie. Lady or myself have no Magic to read minds. My magic is to influence one’s loyalties and emotions. Aine’s magic is of mysterious and wondrous light not typical of the more commonly known Light Magic. But as you mentioned it, exactly who are you and your role in taking Auster?”

"We are known as the Watchers, or the Gregori to the outsiders of Caliban, we serve directly to the Cardinals since the conception of the group of the time of Romulus Caliban." Jaselle then pointed towards Auster. "We're here to take Auster from here to a secure location, as our duty as sworn caretakers of the Cardinals who got defeated, or killed."

Elsewhere Invel was walking in another city. “So Phoebe and Wilhelm has defeated their targets.” Alice telepathically stated what happened. “I will have to as well.” As Invel was looking for his target Ignis he was being watched by spies. They reported to Ignis that Invel was in the city.

"Well well well.. ready for another thrashing there ice boy?" A voice echoed as Ignis appeared directly behind Invel, a burning passion as he smiles at the warmage. "Believe me when I say this, this fight is going to be more chaotic then your foolish battle against Gray Fullbuster of that damned Fairy Tail guild." Ignis smiled as fire began to radiate through his half-naked body as his four glows from the heat.

Invel adjusted his glasses. “You didn’t win. The last battle you had help... now it’s just... you and I. I still possess a stronger magnitude of Magic Power. Remember this no fire in all of creation I am unable to freeze or snuff out... eventually. And you were foolish to remind me of that... mistake with Gray Fullbuster. I am different now than I was then. I don’t care about proving any point I only give my dedication to my new home, Ice Age (アイス・エイジ Aisu Eiji).” As Invel finished his sentence the very land began to freeze. All the buildings, people, and even all the water from ponds and fountains only Ignis remained unfrozen because of the heat he gave off. Even the very temperature in the air became so low it started to be hard to breathe. “Now the stage is set.”

File:Fire God Slayer.jpg

Ignis smiled as the fires that was black soon became what one call "normal fire", but clearly it is not normal fire as he crossed his legs, hovering above the ground, and his entire body began to transform in a fiery red, and his eyes began to glow brightly. "I am also different then our last encounter boy, I have achieved the full zenith of a God Slayer, prepare to face Apotheosis, now tell me which is stronger - heat or cold?." Ignis stated as he transformed into something else entirely, as if he became the very fires itself. "Fire God Bellow!" Ignis shouted as a much more augmented bellow came from his mouth of boiling hot flames at Invel at incredible speeds.

Before Invel could even react the bellow of flames hit him. However, he was able to freeze them as they made impact albeit not completely. Invel’s clothes were had burn marks all over. While Invel wasn’t burnt himself, the sheer force of Magic Power in that attack still did considerable damage despite Invel cancelling out the burns. “ That was a... powerful attack (Invel Couphs) it caught me by surprise. However, don’t make as someone that gives up after one attack.” Invel’s Magic Power increased thus once again transcending Ignis’ even with his Apotheosis.

”Now let me show you something rather special. Niflheim ( ニヴルヘイム Nivuruheimu, Lit. World of Mist and Ice).” It appeared nothing happened or did it? “Confused Ignis, well after coming to Gemma and training for the first time in a decade I learned about Grand Ethernano, more practical outcomes, and above all my dedication. So I created the Niflheim spell. Now as long as we are in a place of low temperatures Nilfheim will spat their energy as they are slowly incased in non-meltable ice. The more you fight the stronger Nilfheim works against you.” Invel waved his hand and incased Ignis in ice instantly.

However despite that, Invel began to hear Ignis telepathically. "You sure are quite arrogant and naive, did becoming a warmage cloud your judgement?" Ignis questioned mockingly said as he began to glow before breaking out of the ice he was encased, his body had a form of protective shielding, and a spectral circular object manifested on his back. "I think they forgot to mention we Cardinals do have some fancy equipment that may prove quite troublesome for you! For starters, I have the god shield Aegis, the shield that'll protect me." Ignis then wiped his hair back as his eyes glows yellow and both his hands becomes black as it burnt. "Never estimated me boy, as that'll be your last." Ignis then raised all four of his fists as two blades appeared on two hands. "Get ready for close-quarters combat!" Ignis then breathed fire onto his blades, enchanting it with his magic as goes slash down with one of this blades.

Invel was still hurt from Ignis’ last attack. Ignis was releasing more power than when Invel fought him and the others last time. So Invel responded with another spell. “True-Ice Kamui.” Invel began to be incased into ice-armor. “ This ice bore from darkness will be my shield from you. Let’s see which shatters first.”

Invel grabbed Ignis sword’s blade. The heat did manage to melt some of the ice on his armor. But it also froze the blade instantly. However, Ignis’ flames began to melt the surrounding ice as well creating mist all around them. “Fire is both a good and bad mixture of my Niflheim spell.” Invel jumped back dropping the sword. “An ancient legend tells of how the world began by the union of contradictions. So I made this spell on this ancient philosophy. Niflheim also infuses my Grand Ethernano into the surrounding ice and when it melts by fire or any kind of heat, the Grand Ethernano mixes with the mist that is from the evaporation of the water. This mist I call Eitr is extremely poisonous and can even kill things like demons, dragons or even a god if exposed by it for too long. I am the only one it doesn’t effect due to it being created by my release of Grand Ethernano. But Eitr also makes it harder to freeze things around me.” As Invel finished his statement the few people and flora unfrozen by the heat Ignis’ fire was releasing started to cough blood and die and the mist began to spread across the city.

Ignis looked around in the city as he notice and looked back. "So, you would sacrifice the people just to defeat me?" Ignis questioned as he fired a beam of burning fire towards Invel with his lower right fist, the fire beam project into a single point.

Invel while still wearing Kamui smacked the beam away... melting more of his armor and more of the surrounding ice. “So using your countries own tactics is inappropriate?” Invel showed his contempt. “All of Caliban has done far worse, you should be grateful if not for your princess Lachesis and prince Secundi convincing Emperor Caerleon not to simply using the Magic Superweaponary. Any one of them could have instantly penetrated it as well as Lord Irminsul or Lady Alice. But that would have killed 100s of thousands more. No matter whom from Gemma fights against Caliban we hear the same hypocrisy. Why are you attacking us?” Invel then froze all the Eitr with some difficulty.

“I didn’t freeze the Eitr mist for you or any citizen of this city. Just each time Eitr is refrozen and melted it becomes more poisonous. But just once I wish Caliban would admit they started this war. I realized my dedication to Zeref and Alvarez was foolish. My dedication to this empire is more profound but more understood.”

Invel began trying to freeze Ignis. The immense heat coming off Ignis made it to where he didn’t just instantly freeze. This was an accomplished as Invel could freeze intense flames of someone like Natsu Dragneel instantly. “My new dedication to my new home is to not just advance our empire’s strength. But to make the other nations of this continent realize we are very protective of ourselves and allies. We might be different than typical empires not conquering other nations. But we are far more unforgiving than any other nation on Earthland.”

"I might be a battle thirsty Cardinal God, but even I have some empathy. However I command soldiers, not citizens who can't fight, I have them go far from here, and I do not know why the King is battling against the Empire." Ignis then began to sprint, entering unarmed combat as he not only threw an uppercut, but also side-kicked his left side, augmented by his flames. "But to fight a Spriggan Twelve, now that is something I'll glady have!"

Invel grabbed Ignis as much as he could. Invel was an average human and Ignis was rather... larger. “You can’t fathom what dedication means to me. I will not lose to you. You whom blindingly follow your king not even thinking for yourself at all. You follow orders and to hell with the consequences. We are different. We might follow any order but we question, think, and compromise to maintain our humanity. Both Light and Darkness are simply forces of great power and neither are inherently good or evil. Gemma uses them both. We see the true sacred nature inherent of them both and this contradiction. This is why Lord Zeref lost he only battled with Darkness. Never attempting to allow the Light to shine.” Invel attempted to use his True-Ice Kamui to freeze and shatter Ignis.

However Ignis' lower left hand broke through and grabbed Invel by the head as he made a unnerving smirk. "I forgot to mention God Slayers are no ordinary beings, and neither am I." Ignis then noticed his lower right hand was shattered but ignored that as he lift Invel up. "You're young, understandable for the young to be naive on the truth. Light and darkness? No such thing honestly, they're just labels so we can determine morality. I simply want to fight, for the past 400 years I been looking for a worthy combatant not in magic, but in close-quarters combat and swordsmanship. You are not a unarmed expertise nor do you fight with swords." Ignis began to heat up to melt the ice as he used his left hand to throw Invel away from him. "Light and darkness, good and evil are man-made concepts so you lot can have a position in the universe."

Invel’s Kamui was almost melted away, but something else happened. All the ice of Ice Age spell, Kamui, and all the effects of Niflheim spell suddenly... disappeared? “Foolish soldier you are.” Invel released himself from Ignis’ hold. “Let me show you why I was sent to deal with you.” Suddenly the air which was already freezing went below that. The very air became so freezing it burned everyone around Invel to even breathe.

“Behold Fimbulwinter (大きな冬, Ōkina Fuyu Lit. Great Winter) my strongest spell. It releases the sheer force of my Magic Power which in turn releases all my Ice Magic properties for last range test of 3,000 kilometers. Hundreds of thousands of Caliban soldiers and citizen in cities miles over will have ice burns in minutes and... so will you. Ice can burn just like fire. My Fimbulwinter freezes all heat and fire. You very soul will begin to freeze and be stuck in an icy hell of melancholy. Paralyzed from your skin and organs being subjected to extreme frostbite and your very soul as well. No heat from any power or world can overpower it. As you release power to create more flames the Fimbulwinter siphons it to strength it. This is what happens when one incorporates Grand Ethernano into their spells. It doesn’t strengthen them typically, no it grants unorthodox strengths.” Invel then with some of the basic training he learned from the military tried to touch Ignis. He knew if he could just land one palm on Ignis it would freeze him instantaneous.

Due to Ignis' flexbility, he'd quickly dodghed the attempted by twisting his body before leaping back a few feet away from Invel and staring at him. "This Grand Ethernano you keep sprouting seems like an cheat card to bypass anything so victory is also cheated out to those who wield it. I existed for over 400 years and never once heard of such a stupid thing." ignis then began to release even more heat. "In my eyes, no matter what magic power is magic power, no matter the origin." Ignis raised his beform a more unique-styled manifested, a massive knight sword in his upper right hand. Ignis stared at Invel thinking before he turned around sprinted away from Invel and exited the town, leaving before summoning two more blades and throwing them at Invel.

As the blades were nearing toward Invel they froze before touching him. “I told you, all fire is froze by this spell...” Suddenly the ground beneath Invel started to freeze. “No I suffered to much damage already?!” Invel collapsed to the ground he was paralyzed under the weight of his own Magic Power. Invel barely was able to speak.“Fimbulwinter... requires constant attention to control I... focused on you too much. I lost... my spell will continue on until I run... out of Magic Power and die...”

Ignis stopped as he turned before smirking. "I had a plan to take you out, but it seems your spell has quite a lot of pressure on your body." Ignis slowly walked forward and in front of Invel. "I thought you were smart, but it seems even the Winter General of the Alvarez Empire can't be perfect." In quick succession, Ignis manifested his spectral Aegis shield and attempted to slam it into Invel's head with all of his strength.

Inches from his Invel’s head was Ignis’ Aegis shield and right as it was about to connect... Invel vanished. He appear about 30 feet away being set down by a taller man with dark blue hair. Invel‘s spell had been dispelled thus saving his life. “You were defeated Invel, despite being stronger you lost to this opponent? You need more training.” The man turned around and looked at Ignis. “You won against a Warmage in single combat... barely but still an accomplishment. But now you will deal with me.”

As the man said that he teleported much closer to Ignis pointing his index finger at Ignis. “I am Zavid Ariglio of the Gemma Empire 6th Ranked Warmage titled the Archangel.” He began to charge his finger with immense strengths of Magic Power. “However, before it goes to your head, Invel could have defeated you. If he had not just used the sheer volume of his Ice-Magic to overwhelm you... but that is the past. Fire Jupiter!” Zavid fired a bullet from Bullet Magic with the same force as a Jupiter blast.

Ignis declaration against Zavid

Quickly raising his shield's defenses, he used the shield to block the sudden attack, feeling the ounce of the force equating to the Jupiter Cannon as he was pushed back, but nevetheless was able to hold his ground against the suprised. Ignis lowered his shield as he look at Zavid. "You are indeed stronger, but Invel could had defeated me if he was more strategic in how he utilized his spells. Brute strength of Ice Magic wont defeat me so easily as you said you arrogant bastard. In the end, ice is quite weak against fire and I have not lived more then four generations of your lifetimes to be pulled down by someone who only lived two decades at most. But you, you certainly are stronger, tell me how good are you at unarmed combat, cause I am itching to use my fist to grind someone down to the bone, and turn it into charcoal." Aegis begin to glow as an presence envlopes the area around him. "Now you are quite worthy Archangel, as such I'll shall you what a Holy Tool truly is, infused with my Apothesis state, it will allow me to use the true power of the fire god that taught me over 400 years ago. While I am contracted to keep supplying the lacrima til my defeat or death, I am sure even in this state, I'll give you a fight you wont forget." Soon enough Ignis manifested three blades as Aegis flew to go on his back, three due to one of this arms being rendered useless thanks to Invel surprised spell Niflheim that even Aegis failed to protect him from, a first if anything showcasing how truly powerful Invel is.

Zavid had stood still, so still in-fact that it appeared as if he was a statue. “You misunderstand the Warmages. Lord Irminsul and Lady Alice possess the greatest power on the Aeternum continent. Lord Wihelm while not as powerful as them still is superior to the rest of us Warmages. The others 4-9 are all overall equals on this current generation. But I suppose I might be superior in some way or another to Invel. But he lost as he went against his nature. Usually Invel is more of a strategist, but he acted with the basis of what it means to be a Warmage. He believed it was his duty to win battles with overwhelming force. Not stopping to consider your almost a rival for your typical Warmage.”

Zavid's Bullet Magic

Zavid moved into position. “Our Winter General also wasn’t in the right mind to use his Grand Ethernano. As Grand Ethernano doesn’t intensify Magic Power it simply breaks the limits of Magic and it also requires firm resolve. Some part of Invel still regrets abandoning Alvarez and joining Gemma. His dedication is split thus his focus in controlling his spells that he created with it. My focus is not but I will not need Grand Ethernano, as it doesn’t make any mage stronger. It simply allows them to overcome the limits Magic has. But enough metaphysical explanations on the meaning of Magic. You wanted a physical fight, than let’s us fight. Be warned I am not like Invel, Colette or most of the other Warmages. I might be able to destroy a city but doesn’t mean I can’t fight with my hands.” Zavid though did fire another bullet at Ignis but this one was rather normal level of power. This was to see just how agile Ignis still was.

In a unnatural stance, Ignis got so low to the ground with his knees going side to side with his chest, it was as if he had no limitations on his body and could conjoin to do any position his desire, dodging the incoming bullet spell and sprinting forward at Zavid at almost inhumane to slash two blades down at the warmage.

As Ignis was right before to slash Zavid he vanished. “You didn’t pay attention I’m an assassin I need to know Magic that can allow me to perform my missions. I can teleport over countries.” As Zavid said that he pointed his finger at Ignis’ back and shot yet another bullet at him. This one was much fast.

Ignis smirked as the bullet hit direclty onto the shield on his back, while it did cause him to stagger due to the force behind it, he was relatively still as he turned. "So that's how powerful, you are well above Invel in magical strength." Ignis said as he turned to face him. "Come now, as a assassin I am certain you know many forms of martial arts to counter anyone you need to kill--" Before Ignis finished, a woman voice called out suddenly.

"Well, well, if it is isn't Zavid, the assassin of the Gemma Empire." From behind Ignis in the distance revealed Erika Chambers as she made her presence known to the both of them beforre utilizing Speed Magic to get next to Invel before revealing a blade. "I been ordered to assist the Praetor as even someone of your calibre could give our Cardinal quite a thrashing." Erika looked towards Zavid. "And also you, warmage have contract on your head demanding your death, and so Fiore's Death Head Order shall do as requested and take your head off."

Ignis then used one of his arms to point at Erika and Invel. "I really do not like you, you too much up yourself and you thought using brutr strength and raw power alone will take me out, but as a former Spriggan and one of Gemma's Warmages, I think you can handle her, right Invel?" Ignis questioned the young warmage. "I know you can still move, even in that condition, you wouldn't be called one of Zeref's top combatants after all, so prove to Zavid that you can be the best warmage against Erika Chambers."

Invel was still hurt from the onslaught he got from Ignis. But Invel still wasn’t a weakling and suddenly touched Erika’s blade and froze a shattered it. “You both... seem to think I am so far below Zavid. This isn’t accurate our Magic Power is virtually equal among each other. I simply held back a small bulk of it.” Invel released the reserve of power he held back thus conjuring up a massive snowstorm for miles.

”White Hurricane. This Snow Magic spell will slow you all down while helping Zavid.” As Invel started to stand he punched Erika and jumped back. He then re-covered himself with True-Ice Kamui to protect himself so Erika wouldn’t attempt to attack him without consequence. “You seem to think I had no strategy. But I did, I knew my split dedication between Alvarez and Gemma weakened me. I was confused between my attachments to Alvarez and my duty to Gemma. Should I return and restructure the Alvarez Empire? OR stay in Gemma and make it into a greater empire? So I purposely sealed a part of Magic Power away. You shouldn’t wield such power and be in a state of emotional flux. But now I’m unhinged, all nostalgic remembrances to Alvarez are now worthless. I will not allow such confusion to enter my actions again. I swore the Warmage‘s oath to protect Gemma from all enemies. That would include my own weakness.”

Zavid then teleported in front of Ignis. He grabbed Ignis despite the massive size different and threw him. “Yes I know many kinds of martial arts, magic, strategic and tactical applications. But I’m not the greatest assassin of Gemma because of that. I am because I simply don’t care how innocent or guilty someone is. If the Warmage Leader or the Emperor gives an order I follow it. Often at times called inflexible by my fellow Warmages. But someone has to be covert when necessary and not have attachments to what they are ordered to kill.”

Ignis stood as he prepared himself as he smiled and readied his three blades. "You remind me of the Souther Lord and the Central Cardinal with that mentality." Ignis' Apothesis seemed to be died down, of course despite he has no firm limitations, it still burns through magic power, which had weakened him through the constant battles. "Lets end this with one strike, I think this is going for too long don't you think?" Ignis stated as he throw all of his blades, entering unarmed combat as he entered an stance, right upper hand extended into a flat as his three other hands formed a fist. Erika narrows her eyes however, surprised about the event that Invel can still do battle.

Invel’s snowstorm still raged on for miles making it impossible for any of the soldiers on either side help them. Zavid concentrated all his power into his right index finger. It appears as if a mass of energy and electricity. “Uranus Terra.” Zavid teleported right in front of Ignis. “My assassins are never personal you wouldn’t want them to be.” Instead of firing a bullet of concentration Magic Power he instead simply went to stab Ignis. While Uranus Terra doesn’t cause as much destruction the surrounds it still is as powerful as an Uranus blast which is superior to a Jupiter blast. Zavid’s spell would send the same destructive force but only through Ignis’ body even on a cellular level.

As Invel re-covered in his True-Ice Kamui and still summoning the massive blizzard to slow down Erika. “Freeze and shattered.” Invel attempted to catch Erika knowing she unlike Ignis would freeze instantly.

Erika instantly vanished as appeared some meters away from Invel. "Invel of the Spriggan Twelve, I am well aware of your power, but I am surprised you can still exert so much. You remind me of a certain Knight Magi actually with that, almost killed me last time." Erika got close before she went in for a slashing strike towards Invel heads. During this fight, as soon as Zavid went to stab Ignis, the Cardinal Fire God also attempted the same as soon the warmage teleported infront of him, using his left upper blade down towards Zavid's neck.

Invel frozen most of Erika and she fell to the ground. “When I was fighting Ignis I was using at most 75% of the full magnitude of my Magic Power. Now while I will likely be in recovery for weeks, I am using all my strength.” The Snowstorm got worse, which slowed down Ignis’ blade enough for Zavid to simply jump to avoid it and not resorting him to use his Teleportation again. He moved down striking Ignis in the shoulder releasing Uranus Terra through Ignis’s body.

As soon the blast hit Ignis, he went to use the full strength of Aegis top deflect it but due to the amount of damage the shield as taken recently, it wasn't enough to protect him, once again failing to do its duty as the strongest protection he has. "Gahhh, the hell!" Ignis cried out as Aegis went flying off his back and the Fire Cardinal God falling to his knees, and the shield landing meters away from him. During this, Erika half frozen looked at Invel with a smile.

"But you.. you are certainly a lot stronger in this magic then He was, truly awe-inspiring that there is someone always stronger then another." Erika said as she slowly got up despite the freezing temperatures. Erika looked back towards Ignis who fell to his knees. "It seems even that divine shield can't even stop a lowly human, maybe these Cardinal Gods are not what they're cracked up to be, hm?" Erika smiled before putting her weapon away. "Now, time for my real objective for what I was originally hired for." Erika vanished with her Speed Magic to get to Aegis and picked it up. "Sorry, but I'll be leaving, and trust me, you wont survive what's to come." Erika instantly vanished as she pushed passed her limits with her Speed Magic, not leaving a trace as Ignis cried out to her.

"That damn..." Ignis coughed as he looked up at Zavid with his fire-colored eyes as he deactivated Apothesis, with the ability being a hinderace at this point. "Now what? Gonna detach my head and put me on a spike? I knew a king that loved doing that to his enemies."

Zavid singled toward Invel to dispel his snowstorm. “My mission is to kill the Cardinal God Ignis, yes. Don’t worry I will make it painless and....” Zavid scolded as if he heard someone telling them something he didn’t want to hear. “Well, my mission has changed. Great Lady Alice Flor has stated that she wants you captured but not killed for some reason she didn’t say. My mission is now to keep you save. But she has a question? What is the Alchemic God failsafe?”

"The Alchemic God failsake, if she's asking that, that means only one remains hm? If so, then the last Cardinal God wont be so easily defeated. I think you're aware that the crystals, the lacrima had downgraded our strength so they can be powered, protecting Caliban from anything, so said Paster. The failsale essentially allows the sole standing Cardinal God to have access to 90% of their overal power, since the crystals takes most of our magic power to function. This means, the last one will even more dangerous then I and depending on whose the last one, it might not be so easy."

Aqua[]

As Terra, Auster, and Ignis were defeated there was only one remaining, Aqua. The empire has dispatched Colette Craw the Celestial Maiden to defeat this Cardinal God. She was usually one of the first Warmages to be sent to the front lines. She was very.... different than the rest of the other Warmages. She was extremely childish and petty. While Alice was temperamental and inflexible Colette had just a nasty personality, thinking her noble status made her better than everyone else around her. “WHERE IS MY SWEETS?!” Screamed Colette to a Gemma Soldier. Her voice could be heard all through the city looking for Aqua.

Howevr Aqua was not in the city, he was located towards the uppermost area of the North, where he walked at the bottom of the ocean, revealing himself in being an racial member of the merfolk. He soon left the ocean as he walked onto the beach as he leaped onto a large stone. He stood there as he proceeded to raise his Holy Tool forward before firing a compressed 'bullet' of magic-empowered water into the sky, its destination being exactly where Colette Craw is located.

Colette signed. “Ugh, so it’s going to be like that?!” She pointed her left index finger up and fired a blast of light Magic above her. It hit Aqua’s blast and purposely was flashy which was Colette’s style and aesthetic. “So I guess I will have to follow?” She turned into bright light and traveled to the source of the blast. “Aqua I presume? So by authority of the Gemma Empire you are condemned to death or surrender.”

Aqua stood, 2.4 meters (8 foot), being over two feet taller then Colette as Aqua simply stared. He seems to be studying her in some way as he held his Trident. "No, have you come to surrender, or have you chosen the depths as your grave?" Aqua shot back as he stared directly into her eyes, not faulting at her presence. The area also began to get much colder then normal as the sky began to darkened with one could say rain clouds.

Colette was not easily imitated, she was very childish and like most children believe they are invincible. “So this is a muscle contest of Magic Power?” She clapped her hands together and released light and Magic Power. At first it didn’t appear all that impressive but in moments the light began to intensify and the Magic Power’s magnitude of was skyrocketing dispelling the clouds making even the dusk sunset sky around them to appear only if was the afternoon. Her Magic Power had overwhelmed Aqua’s. “You can flux your size all you want, it doesn’t make up for the lack of strength of Magic Power. But I will admit your a challenge... barely. So let’s see if your training is better than your imitation.” Colette jumped back and fired more shots of Light Magic at Aqua.

Aqua bursted into a running sprint, leaving the hammer, Aegis and the staff of Terra behind as he not only placed his Trident on his back, but entered CQC against Colette, tanking the Light Magic spells as he got close to her, going for an uppercut at her ribecage. "Don't act to high little one, you be wise to never underestimate anyone, always believe your foe is stronger or else you'll simply die."

Colette simply transformed into light and dissipated. She reappeared a few feet away. “You won’t touch me!” Colette was very uptight and very self-absorbed individual. “You can’t even land an attack on me. I just turn into light and move around at such speed you can’t keep up. Shall I start destroying everything in my path?” Colette put both of her hands up and suddenly massive beautiful light came crashing down all around them from the sky. “ Lumière Céleste, this spell can destroy a city which I think will be enough to deal with you.”

"Then best not get close to the ocean.." Aqua said as he raised his Trident towards her in the midst of the assault. "Or else those of horrors of the depths takes you in to never let go." As soon he finished saying that, an long serpentine creature rushed her from the ocean, obviously commanded by Aqua's Trident as it goes to slam its entire body onto her.

Colette vanished instantly… as if she was traveling at the speed of light. “Horrors of the depths?” Colette fired a blast through the head of the creature killing it. As it fell on the cliff the Lumière Céleste crashed into it destroying much of its corpse. “You know nothing of absolute terrifying horror. I was trained by Lord Irminsul and Lady Alice. In a make-shift world of such nightmares no word exist to accurately detail it. To be the first soldier on the frontlines. I’m not just the first Warmage often dispatched I am the first person that is sent against armies. I can destroy invading armies by the 10,000s to 100,000s in a instant. So for the last time surrender or the next blast will go through your head next.” Colette pointed her index finger at Aqua preparing a spell to pierce his head.

Aqua looked intently at Colette as his serpentine turned around. "Then allow me to reveal to you, the true name of this Holy Tool I have in my possession." The trident raised, an jewel began to glow near the top of the trident. "Be wary for this does not only command those of the seas, for its true name is Gáe Buide" As soon Aqua finished, he flung the Trident at blinding speed, aimed directly at Colette's shoulder.

Colette could have transformed into light to avoid the trident. But something different happened. She jumped and grabbed the trident. However, she grabbed the sharp edges of the tip. Her left hand’s palm was cut deeply. Blood fell to the ground. “ This is so unladylike but I suppose it is necessary. You seem to not comprehend just how truly horrific I the Celestial Maiden am. When my blood is spilled your end is guaranteed. Colette’s already immense magic power began to slowly but steadily increase in strength and intensity. Using her blood as a catalyst something happened. Beautiful and millions upon millions of cherry blossom flowers began to fall from the heavens. However, they were sharp enough to cut even the hardest metal like butter. One cut a piece of Aqua’s hair “My Bamboo Cutter spell is very special. It’s light reflected through my blood which is filled with my Magic Power. The flower petals are unrealistically sharp and can’t be destroyed. Well they can but more accurately they will simply return as they are made of light. Now let me see you DANCE!” Colette directed the blades toward Aqua.

Aqua however vanished and reappeared with his hand on the Trident right behind Corlette, an teleportation magic. "Yes, but that wound is now cursed to be never be healed by the might of Gáe Buide." Aqua then used magic to burst forward at Corlette as he went to slash down at her back.

Colette in her heels simply focused her power and kicked Aqua with a great force of light. Aqua was much larger than Colette so she needed to strengthen any physical attack. “Curse so scary, if it was permanent.” The wound on Colette’s hand stopped bleeding. “ Filtration (濾過, Roka. Lit. Cleaning Process) is a technique that all Warmages know. To shorten it remember this, we can expel any foreign material or power from our bodies. Although your weapon’s power is tricky requiring some concentrated. So no more toying with you. I will now attack with the millions of light flower pellets of my Bamboo Cutter.” Colette directed 10s of millions of flower petals blades at Aqua.

Aqua threw his blade to the side as he teleported to it, avoiding as he seemed perplexed and looked at the Trident. "You misunderstood, the curse I spoke is not some material or bacteria, down at its core... It's an conceptual Magic Phenomenon that can't easily be dispelled like some common spell, so how did you get rid of something that is conceptual in nature, an permanent scare in your reality, it's not a simple flesh wound you have there. Why else do you think I am the man that uses it.?" As Aqua evaded the petals he threw the blade at Colette stabbing her in the chest.

Colette took the blade out of her. “Impressive…” As Colette fell the ground something happened. The land started reverting back to before the battle even took place. The now dead body of Colette got up and looked at Aqua and as it started to disappear she said. “So this sideshow is now over.” Colette was standing in front of him with her index finger ready to shoot a beam of light through Aqua’s heart.

“Confused. I did tell you my Lumière Céleste has destroyed cities just not how. It casts down light to trap you in a hallucinogenic state that your mind makes what you want as the prefect Heaven at the current moment. So everything you have been fighting has been in your head. I already sensed your blade’s power. And while I could reverse the conceptual damaging by expelling the blade’s magic power from my body with Filtration, it would require such concentration it would be risky. So be impressed your the only opponent ever to escape Lumière Céleste as usually they never choose to end their Heaven. It usually traps them until they die from starvation. Your love for your country trumps your own desires or is it your bloodthirsty nature? Regardless it is over so goodbye and good riddance.” Colette began to shoot a beam of light at Aqua, if it connected it would make a hole in his chest.

Aqua then had an moment of fear, the fear of actually being defeated. He understood he wasn't able to escape in time, including teleportation he will still be struck and possibly be fatally wounded during the process. Having no choice in the matter, an aura emerged in front of his chest as an fully repaired and empowered Holy Tool Aegis manifested and blocked the Warmage's attack saving his life. As Aqua landed, the hammer Aethas manifested hovering on his left shoulder as he held his Trident with his right hand, the Staff of Terra soon manifested on his back as he activated the Alchemic God Failsafe and gained the boosted power of all four Holy Tools. Aqua simply smiled as he stared at the Warmage. "Now... are you ready to meet the full might of the Holy Tool, if not then stand still so I can paint Aethas with your flesh!" Using his left hand, he grabbed Aethas and throw it at her with his strength.

Colette had no time. Her spell simply stopped and she couldn’t turn into light as she was paralyzed in fear of Aqua’s new greatly increases magic power. (As she thought) “I…I… I can’t move?!” Aethas was nearly about to hit her but she vanished. Aethas crashed into the ground making a large crater. Colette was saved by Zavid he teleported them out of the way. Colette had broken out in a cold sweat all over her body and couldn’t bring herself to leave Zavid’s arms. “Za..Za..Zavid he… he… is…” Zavid stopped her. “Yes I know, he has become far stronger. He is now just one inch below the power scale of Lord Irminsul and Lady Alice. Don’t worry I have a feeling he won’t be able to control it for too long. It’s not power of his creation and likely his body will not handle the strain for long.” Zavid turned back and looked at Aqua. “So the rumor I heard across Caliban was cover. They did have a mage that could almost rival our top Warmages. So you think this this is an enough? Three other Holy Tools and boast albeit a massive boast of Magic Power is enough to defeat us? Quit embarrassing yourself.” Zavid pointed his index finger and shot a Jupiter cannon level bullet of Magic Power from his Bullet Magic at Zavid.

Aqua instantly manifested an spectral shield of Aegis to protect himself from the Jupiter-level Bullet Magic, who seemed to been unexpected of the level of power that one spell held, even being pushed back 10 feet before the beam dissipated and Aqua looked at Zavid. "Three Holy Tools, I currently wield four simpleton. And I do believe this is more then enough to take out that damned God of Magic, four tools with a god's mighty soul inside it, that truly makes me the one to take out a god... the God of Magic's reign is coming to an end." The Trident hovered above his right shoulder as he went to grab the Staff of Terra, and then soon the pointed at Zavid and Corlette. "The Empire has existed and everything comes to an end, it's time for a new Empire to take over." Aqua smiled. "But not Caliban's rule, but MY rule!" Rising the Staff of Terra, he commanded the earth below them to shake as he caused an earthquake.

Zavid was able to have Colette stern herself and teleported them off the ground. However, the land began to stabilize. Not far behind Aqua was another Warmage it was Edward Fleming the 6th ranked Warmage. Edward was the smartest individual in all of the Aeternum continent. Using his Modification Magic he altered the earth around them, that any power Aqua would instead reinforce the ground from breaking apart or even shaking. Zavid and Colette appeared with Edward as he spoke. “A challenge finally… but not a serious one. You Caliban wannabes think you can amass great power into one person it makes up for own weaknesses? Your body is beginning to melt your going to explode not long from now. I could see it instantly all your power you received from the other Cardinal Gods is not in harmony. For each spell you cast your own body is damaged… even if it is ever so slightly. All we have to do is simply survive long enough and your own body will fall apart. But as your power currently is an unstable but close second to the Magic God and High Witch it will… difficult.”

Aqua looked behind him with his angered but calm expression on his face. "Don't you fret, you will be dead before I myself become incapable of utilizing these weapons." Aqua put away the Staff of Terra as he grabbed his own Trident. "Best watch out!" Raising his hand, the incoming Aethas was flying back towards Aqua as he grabbed the hilt and performed the same technique Auster did, using the momentum of the hammer to exert tremendous strength as well as flight as he went souring towards them and performing a 360 degree spin to slam the blunt face of the hammer on them.

Before any of them could react Aqua slammed the Hammer of Aethas into the ground right in front of them causing a shockwave and debris to throw them back. They hit the ground suffering minor trauma. If it wasn’t for Edward’s quick thinking they might be seriously… dead. “Get it together Zavid, Collete. Less you insult your status as a Warmage again. You Collete toyed with Aqua too much and now he is even strong enough to provide a challenge for Irminsul and Alice despite them still be somewhat stronger. Zavid you came to Invel’s aid yes. But you should have defeated Ignis faster as Invel weakened him. I have already weaken Aqua to a degree. The very elements you command or generate are now subject to my Modification Magic. I already altered the earth. Don’t you think you should have made a much bigger crater when you hit it with Aethas? Now I shall effect the very air, water, and fire. I will rob you of your power and take you and those weapons to my lab for… study.” Edward was angry something that was very rare and… terrifying.

Aqua huffed a bit, the toll of using all four now beginning to strain on his body. Aqua began to inspect the four he has. Not liking to use the Staff of Terra, he raised and pulled out an circular orb of sorts before dropping the Staff to the ground. He then placed the orb onto His Trident. "You think you can simply take these Holy Tools, you will never get your hands of these relics of old. Tell me Warmages... are you worthy to wield the power of God?" The Staff of Terra then began to sink into the Earth as he stepped on top of it. "You may have Modified the elements, but there is one thing you can never modify in my presence; water. The very liquids of the earth and sky is my domain." The Trident glowed as it radiate destructive magic of water as he began to prject his magic into an aura, augmented by the three other Tools. "You pushed me to the limits and this time I will fatally wound at least one individual with my trident's curse." Aqua then reeled Aegis as he flung towards Edward at high speeds.

As Aqua jetted at Edward he attempted to avoid it. But his left leg and arm got cut by the spear while the other two Warmages avoided it completely. However, as it made contact it was repelled away from his hand… surprisingly. The very air grabbed it and flung it back with Aqua. Aqua was able to catch it and stop himself. Edward walked ever so slightly to the side. “I said I would take everything from you and I meant it. You believe the Empire is old and needs to die. Arrogance you mask your evil for righteous as law of conquest. The truth is you can’t win. No one may touch the Wellspring but the God of Magic. Any that attempt are left irreversibly broken.” Edward than began to scan the entire area over the cliff, the ocean, the sky, even the town not far from here. Your power is currently greater than Colette, Zavid, or even mine. But all you do is pointless you have lost. Didn’t you think it unusual we didn’t attack you? We have been avoiding you. Preparations were needed. I have been modifying the very area for over 10 kilometers since I got here. As the magic power emitting from you and us I have been putting it to use. I have modified all the surrounding elements to absorb this power and when they can’t anymore… it will be a calamity.” As he said that a truly massive storm surrounded them. It was extremely large scale, the ground quaked, giant bolts of lightning hit everywhere including the town. It was far more destructive than a class 5 hurricane.

The Storm of High

Eyes narrowed as he began to sweat, the weapons now being almost too much due to fighting for too long. "If I a mistaken, your true goal is destroy not me but this region of Caliban, weakening it for your forces to move in and swiftly take action. If I can't do anything at this time, my body at my limit then I'll make sure YOU do not get these relics of old, and thankfully with all four elemental weapons, I can cast a certain destruction spell." As soon Aqua said this four brown magic seals began to appear on each of the four relics. "The spell making up the four elements; Abyss Break." He'd then let all but the Trident go, the three hovering above his head as they crash down onto the ground. "Now come.." Aqua then a fired of pure concentrated water magic at Zavid before it split into three as they targeted all three.

Zavid charged his Magic Power and released three bullets of Jupiter cannon level at the blasts. Two crashed cancelling each other out but the last one broke apart. The center Abyss blast was stronger and hit Zavid. It didn’t kill him but it did injury him and sent him back a distance. Colette fired off some more blasts of Light Magic, while Edward modified the storm. Now the bolts of lightning would target only Aqua, as he electrified his very being. A large blot of lightning shot out of the sky as Colette’s blasts of light magic were nearing.

Instead of avoiding the spell assault of both attacks, he began to charge directly at Colette while manifesting Aegis to help him fight off the destructive power Colette's Light Magic and the electrical assault from Edward's storm, obviously going go a killing death blow in close-quarters combat against Colette now finding his time is up and must it end. Tanking the attack as his body began to be covered wounds he got close to Colette in his attempt to punch at the human body's weakest spot at full strength; the meniscus in the knee to break her knees as so she'll kneel for the death blow he would attempt.

Edward had implemented Phase Two of his plan. He used his Modification Magic to strengthen someone. That someone was not Zavid, Colette, or even himself. No he strengthen Aqua himself. The boast of cellular integrity made him lose balance and caused him to fall back. Edward had did something extremely peculiar. Healing and strengthening even albeit temporarily an enemy was odd. “Confused Lord Aqua? I have modified your body now. Your stronger than ever before and now your power can held the strain of all Four Holy Tools and the transfer of Magic Power from the other Cardinal Gods. I told you I plan to take everything from you. My parents were killed when a small group of powerful mages from Caliban invaded near my town, not fall from border.”

Edward had an extremely unusual tone to his face. Usually without fail he always smiled albeit with just a hit of contempt behind it. But this time he was serious. He had worked through thousands of scenarios, probabilities, plans, etc. He had found a plan to rid himself of Aqua and Caliban’s philosophy of conquering. “When I was a boy, Gemma Soldiers were stationed at my town. It was perfectly fine. We had the strongest and most populated army in the entire Aeternum continent. However, that group of Mage’s was led by someone. That someone was you. You killed thousands of citizens, the Gem Soldiers, and my parents. You destroyed Zircon Town. And yes a Warmage came and defeated the group while you fled. But it didn’t change what had happened. Ever since that day, I have decided it wasn’t Caliban, the soldiers, the lords, or even the Royal Family that destroyed my childhood. It was the philosophy of conquest of Caliban, and I will erase it from this world.”

"If you plan to take everything from me, then why make me more stronger? Wouldn't that just cause your deaths to become sooner then later?" Aqua questioned Edward's motives, now on high guard due to the turn of events. "What are you planning Warmage?" Aqua then leaped back, thinking there was some other plan or strategy in play for Edward's actions. "And as for that town, some lurked there Lord Albus desired, the people.. the citizens were in the way, I only cleared the path. But conquest shall always live in everything, everyone wants to conqueror, be it their inner demons or someone else. Your objective is flawed and will never reach reality." Aqua began then began to project his magical aura now beginning to cast an powerful spell as an blue-coloured magic circle appeared behind him. "This fight lasted for way too long, lets end this now and allow me to demonstrate the strongest spell." As soon Aqua finished, moister began to get a rise in temperature, including everything such as blood in bodies. "I am sure you know of August's Ars Magia, I will re-create that magic through the combination of Heat Magic and expand the heat to everyone's bodily fluids here, so even if I die at least I taken out three of the Nine Warmages!" Aqua shouted as he began to cast the spell, now desperate to end the fight here and now, but he noticed it's taken a lot longer to cast the spell due to the fact he never used it in this manner.

Edward cracked a smile. “Checkmate.” Instead of Aqua trying to replicate the Ars Magia’s effects, his efforts turned against him. Instead his Magic Power kept feeding the Hurricane more and more. It was growing to where it would very soon cover all of Caliban several times over. “I took a page out of Lord Irminsul’s playbook. I simply with honest manipulation trick you into your own self-destruction.” Edward just looked at Aqua.

”All I did was this. First, I created this storm from the emittance of our Magic Power. Secondly, I electrified your body to act as the center of the storm. Third, I modified your body to withstand all that power you got from Ignis, Auster, and Terra. Finally, I modified your Magic origin to refill dozens of times faster. As well as the very philosophical belief structure in your mind. If you believe conquest and defeating the empire is just or anyway acceptable it will continue to use you to strength the storm. The hurricane is already passing what would be a category 10.

Zavid and Colette had seen what Edward was truly capable of doing. Edward clarified something. “Irminsul had to erect a space-time barrier around Caliban just to keep it’s influence here as its massive now it could span more than 3/4 the continent. So either honestly give up on conquest permanently or be ripped apart and have a storm kill the millions left in the kingdom. The choice is your’s as your Magic Power will continue to feed the storm and at a highly faster rate will recharge in a cycle until you have been reduce to less than dust. The choice is yours and don’t attempt to circumvent this. The spell work is of such complexity that even Irminsul would need months to a year to break it, and death will only cause the storm to release instantly over Caliban in full force.”

Aqua forced himself to look at Edward with hatred written on his expression before cancelling his spell entirely before he sat onto his two knees and hands on his leg as he sighed deeply. "A ruler is nothing without the kingdom that he wishes to rule. Even if I want you all dead, what I want wont exist if continue this battle. Another day, another time to fulfil my desire but for now, I'll just accept this defeat. Edward, while I use my brute magical strength and the capacity of the Tools, you however used your intellect, not strength or magical power to overcome obstacles." Aqua turned to the Holy Tools. "And I see in this façade, you even dispelled the Abyss break, you're more powerful then you led others to believe." Aqua praised.

As the battle finally concludes the final Cardinal God defeated, the final crystal is deactivated that lowered the magical barrier around the City of Caliban. In the distance was an eagle that played witnessed to the battle, then it leaped from the tree and flew in the direction of the City of Caliban.

Edward smile was so smirk that it would appear that stone would crack if he looked at it. “You misunderstand Lord Aqua. You could have won very easily. Your power was truly magnificent. Colette, Zavid, and myself barely could match just little more than haft. I filled the gap of power with strategy and tactics. The common method to defeating someone. But your pride, your arrogance, and above all your refusal to change caused your defeat. All I did was use your great power against you. Had you closed your heart to conquest and the belief you and by extension Caliban had the right to end the Gemma Empire. Than you would have seen through my tactical plan.”

Aqua simply stared at Edward. "It doesn't matter, now your goal is done, shall you lot now head towards the City? I must warn you, there is a fifth member among us. We say Ignis or myself are the most powerful Cardinal Gods and since you said my power was about being above ya lot? However this fifth member is something that even all four of us can't comprehend. Once you meet him, do not underestimate him." Aqua then stayed silent after stating this as he waited for what they'll do to them, and the Holy Tools.

Edward undid his modifications to Aqua’s body. At the same time the boast form the other Cardinal Gods left him. Rendering weaker (albeit not immensely) weaker than the three Warmages. “You can’t seem to understand just how powerful Gemma is. Yes, we have Magic Superweaponary unmatched by any other country. Our army is the largest in Earthland. Our Warmages are unrivaled with the possible exception of the Spriggan 12 of the Alvarez Empire. But their current members don’t have anyone in the class of Irminsul or Alice anymore. You and the other Cardinal Gods are powerful and a generation ago would be the standard for a Warmage. But we Warmages look for the best, our current members are the strongest in all of Gemma’s history.”

Edward had Gem Soldiers put on Aqua special restraints. It was ones he made and would even take Irminsul sometime to escape them. “Now since to some degree your philosophy regarding Gemma and Caliban is permanently gone; as the modification I did wouldn’t have come undone for anything else. We shall go to Caliban’s Royal City. No-one wants Caliban destroyed. It is a sister nation since Tyranus was a son of Lord Irminsul. Shall we process to a more progressive endeavor for your kingdom and our empire?”

Order of Wizards[]

In the South, inside of Meridionali Mansion, a cough came from Beatrice Meridionali as she bled after her confrontation with Erika Chamber, but she heard voices.

"Get them to me now! If we hurry, they'll make it!" A voice of a young woman called out as Beatrice felt herself being moved.

"A'right, ya need ta hurry if they'll make it!" A more rougher, gruffer voice said back, a male but different. Beatrice slightly opened her eyes to see a blue large figure just over the shoulder of a black haired woman who was healing Sebastian Michaelis and Geoffrey Chaucer. The black hair woman turned to face her, silver eyes shining as she came to her and began to healing her wounds from what looks like a ring.

"Do not worry Archmaid, you will make it, just have some rest." The woman told as her as another shined as she feel herself slipping into unconsciousness. The woman stood as she's done healing all three members as she held onto a wooden staff.

"We mus get them to safety Merlin, it's better to ge them back to the Order." The dwarf-looking blue figure told her as she nod in agreement.

"I agree Eitri, lets head out." Merlin looked up as her staff glowed before all five of them vanished from the half-destroyed Mansion.

Beatrice stirred as she returned to consciousness, and when she began to feel again she instantly opened her eyes and got out of the bed at great speeds before lightheadedness began to take over. Before losing her balance, a woman grabbed as she was guided back to the bed.

"Woah there, no need to get up so quickly, you're still recovering." Beatrice looked up to see the same black woman from before as the woman smiled softly. "Besides the dizziness, how are you feeling?"

"I-I am feeling alright." Beatrice rubbed her head as she tries to get the dizziness away. "You're Merlin right?" Beatrice asked as she began to drink water that was on the bedside table prior to her awakening.

"Ah, so you were awake during that time! Yes, but that is my nickname, I'm Merlinus Ambrosius but you can call me Merlin. I'm a Sorcerer of the Order of Wizards." Merlin smiled as she sat down in a chair. "You were lucky Beatrice, if it wasn't for me and Eitri, you all be dead by now." That was when Beatrice quickly snapped her eyes as she looked at, Merlin then raised her hands already knowing what she was about ask. "Do not worry, they're fine, Sebastian is one tough customer, he'll pull throw and it wasn't for him, Chaucer be gone. However," Beatrice looked at her with grave concern, seeing how Merlin's tone went down. "Despite what I can do, Chaucer lost her left arm by your attacker, but your butler was able to do quick first aid that slowed down the bleeding, that saved her life." Beatrice looked at with shock, shocked that one of her maids was gravely injuried but she was also gratiful that Sebastian actually paid attention to her first aid class that saved the small maid's life. "However we got into contact with the East, I found their research department handles a branch of medical science known as Maginetics. The can produce a Maginetic arm, a artifical arm for your maid." Before Beatrice could shed a tear, a small blue-mineral coloured dwarf barged into the medical room.

"Oi ya black-haired woman, the Order has been trying to contact ya! They need us at the Chamber of Commerce!" Merlin quickly got up and nodded before looking at the Archmaid. "Don't worry Beatrice, get some rest." She told her as she had Beatrice lie down on the bed. "You need healing before yo do anything, got it?" Merlin said as she began to leave the room and shutting the door to the Chamber.

Both Merlin and Eitri enter the Chamber whic is a circular room filled with pillars and a "balcony" on the walls showing a chamber where four of the highest ranking Warlocks presides in their administration.

"Merlin, Eitri despite the war against the Gemma Empire, we have one task you need to fulfil." A voice echoed in the chamber as an midly deep personal began to speak. "We have reports of an True Ancestor entering into Caliban region of the West."

"We would normally contact the eastern Praetor so he can handle the threat." Another warlock informed that sounded like a elderly aged woman before the first one resumed.

"The issue is a True Ancestor is an ancient high power from a age long forgotten, a age originating from your homeland Merlin of Eurasia, specifically in Aurelia." This caught Merlin's attention as well as Eitri. "We believes it's a pure-blooded daedric being, and we want you both to stop it." Merlin looked at Eitri before looking back to say her words.

"Tell me one thing, why send us?"

"While you young Merlin have greater experienced in magic then anyone here, Eitri is an dwarf who actually fought the daedric beings over 10,000 years ago." Eitri then looked him in shock. "Yes, we know who you know king Eitri of Nibelungenlied, we studied you very careful the fact you're the only one with made entirely of adamantite. You're the most experienced to handle this threat, and you shall accompany her." Eitri simply nodded his head in agreement.

"Warlocks, what about Aqua and the Gemma Warmage that just began to do battle, should we send in additional mages to help him?" Merlin pleaded.

"Merlin, Aqua is the strongest Cardinal God we have, even when all other three have fallen, he will not fail Caliban. We'll pay to the threat of the Ancestor, allow the military generals and the king handle its own wars. If they need mages, they'll contact us. Now move out, longer it stays the more deadlier it becomes. Head to the West, you'll found an wizard there who so happens to be the Western Lord's daughter." Merlin and Eitri bowed before departing the Chamber of Commerce as they prepared themselves to leave for the West, while Merlin began to talk to Eitri.

"Why can't they send they're greater wizards to deal with this threat?"

"Because as a sorceress, a high-ranking wizard in ya own right, they rather have you del with ya, eh?" Eitri reasoned before Merlin shrugged it off and began to leave after they packed an carriage and had a horse hitched to it and began to move out. "I gotta say, a horse would'a been great to have in my kingdom." Eitri commented.

Soon after the, Melrin and Eitri then began their travel to the West and onto the capital city of Westeros. The area around the capital was breath taking to any new comer, open blue skies and very fresh green grass as well as beaches and beautiful enviromment, but not many go out due to bandit attacks and other creatures that wander across the land. The two soon go to the capital before they were halted by an member of the Western Guards.

"Halt! Before I let you in, you must pay a visitors tax." The guard said with both Merlin and Eitri looking at him in shock.

"Wait, a visitor's tax? What for?" Merlin angrily told him as Eitri tried to calm her down.

"For the privileged for entering the city, what does it matter?"

"Oh yeah, what if I simply shout out you're forcing people to pay huh?!" Merlin raised her voice slightly that would allow others to hear her on how she's being forced to pay foe entry.

"Alright alright, ya want people to hear you? Fine, you can come inside, just don't cause issues outsider." The guard backed away before essentially warning her of anything that she'll be arrested. Merlin walked inside in a bad mood before Eitri followed suit. As the two walked, they noticed the city was also a beautiful sight to behold, even more so then the City of Caliban.

As the two walked they were confronted by an Westeros Guard who told them to follow as the Highguard Aclima Luluwa asked them in the Guard HQ. The two followed and entered an building closer to what one calls a cathedral. Soon enough, they were face to face with one of the 46 knights of the Round Table as well with Hermes being present as well.

"Welcome wizards of the Order, it's great you're here considering the situation." Aclima Luluwa said as she smiled at the two wizards, though one wizard, Eitri wasn't exactly one. "I was told of your arrival, but see Eitri myself is shocking to find someone like you exist."

"Ye, it's a rare thing to come across." Eitri concluded as Merlin cought to get everyone's attention.

"We're here to take out the True Ancestor threat. The Warlocks believes if it's left unchecked, it can cause more internal issues then the issue with the war on Gemma." Before Merlin continued, Hermes lifted his hand to stop her from talking.

"Yes we're aware, I have Hræsvelg scout the Ancestor's area, it seems to had taken over an small farm community and taken the people there and made them into ghouls." Merlin and Eitri then looked at him with confusion where Hermes sighed. "Ghouls are essentials people that were killed and resurrected from the dead to the bidding of the master, they're essentially zombies but follows the commands of the True Ancestor. They're skills and capabilities varies from person to person, but those who have combat experience will keep their skills even as a ghoul."

"Which is why I had him scout the area to get a inform plan of attack before we step in. We do not know who or what the people can do, nor do we know the True Ancestor's full extent of its capabilities." As she finished, she showed them the map of the West, and pointed to them the location before Merlin began to speak.

"Alright, undead ghouls can be taken out with simple Purification Magic thanks a new item I got there, but the True Ancestor is the major issue here." Merlin told as Eitri began to speak.

"I remember fighting one long ago, they're seriously powerful beings and not to be taken alone no matter what." Eitri then looked at the map, trying to think of a plan. "The main issue here is we don't have weapons to actually kill it."

The City of Caliban[]

In the city of Westeros, an eagle sawed through the sky as it landed on the arm of the crimson haired Hermes as he seems to be communicating with him as he stood on the city's walls before acknowledging. He went to the HQ of the Westeros Guard and went to talk to Lulawa. "Aclima, the royal capital requires us."

"And why is that?"

"The barriers are negated and shut down." Aclima looked up in shock. "Yes, the four Cardinals are defeated."

"But what about--" Before Aclima said any more, she was interrupted by Merlinus, who informed them that she'll deal with the situation as the two must return to the capital. "Alright thanks Merlin, we'll come back to deal with the Ancestor." She then faced to Hermes who nodded before he used Spatial Magic to be teleported to the royal capital. They appeared in one of many hallways inside the palace as they looked around.

"Aware of the plan?" Hermes asked as Aclima nodded.

"Of course, we must gather the others before they arrive, regardless if they're warmages, they must not be interrupted."

"Oh, I see things are commencing so soon?" A feminine voice calls out as the two turn to face an woman with black hair an sleeveless dress of sorts with her left eye being covered by an eyepatch.

"Master Nakano Takeko, it's a pleasure to meet you once again." Hermes granted her with respect, due to her being his swordsmanship mentor during his time in the Central Guard that elevated to him to the status as an Highground. "Yes, the four are defeated and the barrier as fallen. We await the arrival of those who fought against the Cardinal Gods, including our leader prince Secundi along with princess Lachesis."

Nakano smiled as things seems to be going to plan as informed by the prince. "Good, but the main issue lies with Daedalus." Nakano brought up the issue as the other two knew what she meant.

"Daedalus, from what I was able to gather, he's an God Slayer of greater power then even the four Cardinal Gods. If anything, according to my intelligence he has even slain a true god in a distant continent. He'll be even more tricky to manage without the warmages presen there."

"Agreed, we mus also be concerned that despite us, the Highguard were chosen specifically by the prince, there are those who believes Caliban rule and law is the way to go and will betray us if we do anything." Alcima brought up potential betrayers among the knightly order, which Hermes agreed. All is possible, including betrayers. "Do you know when they'll arrive Hermes?"

"I say in less then a week if they keep the same pace." Hermes answered.

All the of Nine Warmages, the entire military of Gemma, with various other small armed forces from the other nations allied with Gemma arrived outside the capital city of Caliban. The combined force equaled to over 8 million soldiers not counting elite groups like the Warmages. A soldier spoke. “What is this? Why are we not storming the city?”

Another solider from Vaspaira explained. “You see it’s not the fighting that kills most people during a siege of a city. It’s the starving, stealing, disregard for laws etc. Most of the citizens of a city has no military training and I would suspect even less have Magic Power. What are we suppose to do? Is this force suppose to destroy the city with everyone inside of it? No Great Lord Irminsul and Great Lady Alice are looking to make King Atreus surrender. I mean he has already lost. I mean any Warmage has the power to destroy an army or a city. But this much power and this massive of an army could conquer any continent on Earthland.”

During the Gemma on stand by, in the distance was the First Air Battalion in the sky as Company Commander Iuvenis Fordragon used her binoculars to survey they area. "Damn, there's a lot of Gemma forces outside towards the South, how did they even get past the South defenses so easily?"

"It's not like the South is well protected, they're military chapter is not that vast to begin with, hell I would honestly expect the Order of Wizards in letting them inside since it aligned with their Pater's ideals." Erich Hartmann said as Fordragon lowered her binosculars, and awaited instruction. "The Battalion we have doesn't have enough firepower to protect the capital."

"That is because you are not protecting it." A female voice called as Hartmann turned to see Jaselle Krüger wearing the Eastern Air Force uniform and equipment. "The Eastern Lord is currently in route to the capital and siding with Gemma thanks in part to prince Secundi. He'll be assisting in any possibilities that may arise."

In the Caliban Palace, Atreus sat on his throne as the elderly Daedalus stood at his side with at least six members of the Highguad stationed inside the throne room. "Well my king, this is unexpected, the Cardinal Gods are defeated and they managed to get their armies to surround the capital."

"Indeed, we must act now before things get too dire for the sitation." Atreus said as Albus walked inside the throne room. "Lord Albus, I hope you got some good news in this situation?"

"I do actually, I expected something of this calibre to occur once the barriers has failed, so I sent in Chambers and the esteemed Jack the Ripper to sneak into the Gemma Empire. While their military force here, they can slip inside undetected and assassinate both Secundi and Lachesis."

"So.. you plan to make Gemma enemy by having my son and daughter killed in a horrific manner, painting Gemma as an unjustified power that don't treat alliances well?" Albus nodded. "While I love them, a needing sacrifice to make Gemma fall."

Outside was Hermes and Aclima overlooking the massive army of the Gemma Empire. "Woah, I know I seen my share of armies, but nothing on this scale." As Hermes looked, he then noticed two figures at, it was Secundi and general Kein as they went to the front gate. The prince turned to the Nine Warmages. "Before we actually do anything, I'll go inside and try a diplomatic approach before we do something drastic. The Highguard inside are aligned only to the Round Table, not the family royalty." Secundi soon teleported with his Spatial Magic as he appeared inside the throne room. "Father..."

"My son..." Atreus said, hiding is shyock he is here as Daedalus was watching it fold out.

"Father, I think it is time to end the Old Ways and re-organize this kingdom, the war culture has gone for too far, the slavery and deceit ends now." Secundi told his father as Atreus stared, taking in the information. "We need allies, we nee friends for Caliban to continue its existence, so please... surrender I promise you'll be given a fair and just tribunal." As soon Secundi finished, an black haird women appeared besides the king as she relayed a message, and Atreus looked distraught and looked at Secundi with sadness in his eyes. "I am sorry my boy.." Secundi looked confused. "I had spies inside Gemma and it seems Lachesis was executed from within."

"What?" Secundi darkened expression and hostile vocal tone changed, staring at him as if he was lying. "Father, as you know right now, this no--" Before he finished, the women appeared before her and revealed an lantern Lachesis loved to carry around and gave it him. Secundi grabbed as the Highguard looked on at the scene before he teleported away. Lachesis looked back to the King and Daedalus simply smiled as he began to leave to confront the entire army of the Gemma Empire. Secundi soon appeared before the Nine Warmages, specifically Irminsul but he is now surrounded by hostile intentions towards the God of Magic it even began to manifested in a light magic aura. "Irminsul, I believe you have some explaining to do." Secundi voice was full of malice, uncertainly and fear towards the God of Magic.

Irminsul smiled but something was off. All his Magic Power was… gone. His hair turned white, his bread disappeared, his very clothes seem to change but not as a result of Re-Equip Magic. No it seemed his clothes melted away and were replaced with clothes made entirely of Grand Ethernano infused Magic Power. What Irminsul had done was his very title completely a God of Magic. What Irminsul had done was use one if not his strongest spell Hliðskjálf (北欧王座 Hokuō Ōza (Furizusukyaruvu)?, lit. "Nordic Throne"). “You think such a tactic wasn’t anticipated? How extremely foolish this proved finally this little branch of my family has no right, privilege, or even the skill set even to attempt to control my empire. So you think what assassinate Lachesis and frame Gemma? Don’t you think we would have done that instantly? We are cruel without mercy but we aren’t stupid.”

Alice had used her Telephatic Magic to see into Atreus’s mind. She had become even stronger to see inside the king’s mind which had impressive defenses. “I thank Alice for her assistance. But she isn’t the star of this stage production not the witch but the god. Now let me show you just how pointless your little little little plan was. With another spell worthy of a Magic God one that hold dominium over space and timely. “Takamagahara (高天原, "Plain of High Heaven" or "High Plain of Heaven) revert, re-emerge, reveal… Lachesis.” A large clock-face that almost like a magic circle appeared over the Caliban Palace. The handles moved backwards and Lachesis appeared. She was frightened and visibly distraught. Irminsul had pulled Lachesis from the moment she was to be killed and made an echo in time in the past that appeared that she was killed, thus preventing time-paradoxes. “You seem Lachesis just how your father is, he can’t win and hoped from my empire to collapse. Well now he can see what a collapsed kingdom looks like. You might want to plead for mercy, for the next 28 minutes I have infinite Magic Power infused with Grand Ethernano and my power is so great you can’t even sense it.”

Daedalus Apotheosispng

"Another with telepathic capabilities of greater precedence." An voice of an elderly figure was vocalized in both the Warmages mind and Secundi. "So glad to finally encounter you lot after hearing so much from the past kings of this kingdom." The elderly Daedalus is soon hovering just in front of them in the sky. "Hello, pleasure to meet your official acquittances, I am Daedalus and you call call me the fifth member of the Cardinal Gods, but I feel Aqua here already told you?" Daedalus looked at Aqua before turning towards Irminsul. "So, you saved the white hair firstborn eh? A God of Magic, you are not the only supposed god I had seen and killed." Daedalus soon landed as he began to project an poweful God Slayer aura as he began to deform. As his muscules began to move independentaly, ghe began to grew in size, his lower body becoming 10x larger along with his torso. He then stood up, now towering everyone in the area as he began to rediate magic well beyond the Four Cardinals.

Daedalus Apotheosis1

Secundi stare in horrifying fear as he stepped in front of Lachesis, the Highguard that began to watch also looked in shock. The Lords that were present at the City also watched on from afar. Albus and Orientem stared with intrigue, while the Eastern Lord Magi Vergens Ortus was with the First Air Battalion as he used binoculars to watch but the Western Lord nowhere to be seen. "The hell is that thing?" Hermes questioned as his mentor began to explain.

"They say that Lionheart is the strongest magic being in Caliban due to his connections, age and experience outweighing everyone in the arcane, including Pater. However he is indeed the most knowledge and much capable mage that almost equates to the Magic God down there, I read of stories of another possessing such power it makes the Cardinal Gods look like they're average citizens, so the story says. An God Slayer who has actually taken down a true god and forced the magic of the god unto himself, and that man was Daedalus." While Hermes somewhat knew this, and only asked his question being more rhetorical in nature, the others were shocked to hear such a story. "But I believe Gemma's greatest mage can defeat him regardless, as Daedalus must be defeated before this all ends."

"Tell me Irminsul, have you encountered someone you considered them an potential threat against you? Anyone at all in your life?" Daedalus casually asked the question, intrigued on his response. He knowing who he is, is curious if he ever believed someone has had potential similar to his own opportunities that lead him to become one, if not the strongest mage in Earth Land.

Irminsul answered the best way he knew. With a display of power. “ This how I answer that question, Mágia Katagogí (魔法の起源マギア·カタゴウギ, Magia Katagōgi; Greek and Japanese for Beginning of Magic).” Nothing seemed to happen… or did it. A subtle change happened through out the surrounding area to expand over all Caliban. “I have now begun to set the stage, with a word or even a thought all will now set forth the rules of magic. I don’t seemly possess great power or even command it. I create, control, change, destroy, and restore power. Now whatever rule I want Magic to follow will happen. All the Ethernano all over Caliban will follow these rules even it is inside of another Mage. This is now the Beginning of Magic it’s rules are fluid and changing. What I say become the laws set forth by Magic. So I say this if anyone besides you or I use Magic they will self-destruct from the use of that power. I want this to be fair and absolute. So throw whatever you want, no one can help you. So if you lose it will prove your inferiority.”

"All of my life I only dreamed of ending the life of a god... But this time.. I'm going to fight one shall call... God." Daedalus raises his hand as an weapon manifested out of an pure elemental substance simply known as "æther" as he began to breathe and shout an single spell. "Bellow of the Sky-Father (天空父親の怒号 Tenkū Chichioya no Dogō?, Lit. "The Wrath of the Heavenly Father)!" Daedalus projected an beam of the æther substance directly at Irminsul from his mouth, an elemental that only exists within the Sublunary Sphere high above the sky.

Irminsul didn’t move he let the spell hit him. It ripped him apart. The battle was over the God of Magic was destroyed… no wait it wasn’t over and he wasn’t gone. All his body remains began to glow and then collected itself back together completely reversing the damage. “No matter what you do it is worthless. Panacea (万能薬, Man'nōyaku Lit. All Alchemic Glory Elixir) prevents no reverses my death. Has it begun to sink in yet? Did you think I wouldn’t create massive spells of such complexity and strength with this state of Infinite Magic Power and only use it to strength my powers?” Irminsul laughed.

“The Panacea is one spell I’m really proud off. It completely turns death on it’s head. You can obliterate my entire body it doesn’t matter, I can reverse any wound no exceptions in this state.” Irminsul opened his hand and black sphere manifested and it grew in size. It was completely black. “You can’t even begin to understand with what your dealing with. You called that attack aether? This is what Aether is.” Irminsul had used Aether (アエサー, Aesaa Lit. Intangible Element made Tangible) a form of Magic Power Generation to create an equal form of intangible yet tangible magic matter. He let it grow until span over the entire city blocking out the sun. “This Magic has no elemental superior or inferior is a truly a neutral ground among the elements. So how many more of the Nine Creation Myths do I need to use?”

"If it's Aether then it wont harm me thanks to my father, the god Aether that resides in the very æther." Daedalus points at the Magic God. "It be best not to use the element that my body can easily withstand, for I use the God Slayer Magic surrounding the æther." He then raised his sword as he goes to enter close-quarters combat. "This sword is made from æther, and I shall smite you down once and for all!" Daedalus used the aether he can generate from inside his body to push himself at accelerated speeds at the Magic God to slash down with his blade across his torso.

Irminsul didn’t care if he was attacked again and again. He was not only ageless now, but was truly immortal due the Panacea spell for the entire length of the Hliðskjálf spell’s infinite magic power. As his cut body fell to the ground it stopped and once again put itself back together. “What are you doing, thinking you can run out the clock before Hildskjalf is undone? Even if that was an option I would raze Caliban to the ground 10,000 times over before that happened.” Irminsul threw a small orb of Aether at Daedalus. However, it wasn’t simply Aether Irminsul infused it with Destruction Magic that the moment he tried to devour it, it was explode inside of Daedalus.

Daedalus groaned as he felt the pained as he landed on the ground, holding onto his chest as he looked the Magic God. "That is not æther, nor shall one consider this fair when the enemy is immortal and can not even be wounded as they restore as if nothing occurred." He stood. "Even Zeref was much more capable fighter that did not result into tricks of life and death, and from I even understood that those who meddle with such forces are cursed with the Contradiction Curse. You are way too greedy in your pursuits for magical knowledge, it will someday backfire on you. If you can't even be wounded, this fight is all but meaningless to my main goal." Daedalus then began to fly once again. "I only came here seeking a battle against to see who is the strongest, but a supposed Magic God using such trickery is something a mage I do not consider a god of magic. You hold too much power for this world Irminsul, and that shall be your demise in time. I forfeit this battle for it is pointless as I said, to fight someone who refuses to actually get hurt for their cause." Daedalus then looked at Alice. "If anything, Alice is a much more capable mage then you who doesn't result with trickery." Daedalus then turned into æther as he vanished from the area.

"There goes that." Hermes commented as he turned around. "It's time to arrest the King for his war crimes Highguard!" Hermes declared as he along wit his mentor and Aclima began to go towards the throne inside the palace to arrest the king and the end war once and for all.

As Hermès went to arrest the King, Irminsul and Daedalus still were engaged in battle… sort of. “You call what I did as tricks, such weakness of a feeble mind. The only trick I did was trick you into your own self-destruction. I conquered the laws of magic and you say I use tricks but hold too much power? Are you sure your not plagued by the Curse of Contradiction? I set forth my new rule to cancel out my previous one. Now everyone within the influence of my power can use their magic again.” However, something else happened. “Now comes the second act Ápeiro Mágia Kýros (常魔法の領域アペイロ·マギア·カイロス, Apeiro Magia Kairosu; Greek and Japanese for "Realm of Infinite Magic").”

What is happening is something that never happened in all of Earthland’s history. “You speak of my power but know nothing of what it truly is. God is despair and I am despair. So feel despair!” Every single mage, magic item, etc had infinite magic power… including all of Caliban’s mages. “I am now supplying my Magic Power to ever single mage or anything magical within my influence. They now can use Magic without limit until I dispel it. But they can only use the Magic they already know, learning any new magic or attempting to change the affinity of their already known magic will cause the most excruciating slow death in existence. So feel the despair of infinite power but not infinite applications!”

Daedalus looked at him with shock, and as well despair. "A God is not despair, a God is someone that goes beyond our understanding of the universe. You are just a human that obtained the powers of an God such as I, but you took too far and into the realm of life and death, which Zered paid the price for. You are not above the laws of this universe, no one is and anyone that does will be punished for reaching to a place not meant for your hands." Daedalus closed his eyes as he began to speak softly. "And besides, if you can not die, and supplying everyone with infinite magical energy, what purpose is there for me to stick around? I know my weaknesses and this is where I can not continue further. However if I can not kill you, there is one I can taken down, the Oracle of Delphi!" Ignoring everything Irminsul, Daedalus wasted no time to fly at tredemdnous speed take out Lachesis he called the Oracle of Delphi and went to use his blades against her, only for Secundi to to block the sword with the Sword of East.

"You think I'll let you touch her?" Secundi snarled, but Daedalus smiled as he raised his left hand and pointed at him. Daedalus then began to speak an language not him to him.

"Αἰθήρ Συνείδηση (天空父親の意識 Tenkū chichioya no Ishiki?, Lit. "Consciousness of the Heavenly Father") Daedalus said as an unseen force hit Secundi in the head as his eyes turns into the elemental of aether before his mind quite literally want blank before collapsing. Lachesis stared, hers eyes as her Lantern before to float in front of Daedalus before an assortment beam of white fire spewed at Daedalus, augmented by Ápeiro Mágia Kýros. Lachesis eyes glowed white as Daedalus hit the City's walls. On the overlook, Albus gleefully smiled as he witness his true goal being achieved.

Irminsul sighed like if a director saw his characters in a play not getting the scene right. “Takamagahara reverse this now!” Irminsul had manipulated time to change the course of destiny. He made the beam fired by Daedalus far weaker. It didn’t even break the skin but it still did knock hit him giving Secundi the worst headache ever in his life. “I thought you were intelligent Lord Daedalus.”

Something else had changed Magic seemed to… not work?!” Irminsul clapped his hands and suddenly all Magic over Caliban became non-existent. “ Time for the third scene; Mágia Era Télos (魔法時代の終焉マギア·エラ·テロス, Magia Era Terosu; Greek and Japanese for "End of Magic Era"). Let it begin, beg for mercy. Go on go ahead no one can use Magic now. “ Everyone tried to cast spells nothing happened, all Magic items didn’t work and turned off. “Magic is a gift I simply revoked the right. You still have your power don’t get me wrong, it is just worthless now. Within the sphere of my influence which is the entire Caliban country I made Magic impossible here… minus myself that is. You see magic works by bending reality at its base level. I simply reinforced reality. I made it stubborn and unwavering all Magic besides my own or those I allow are effectively powerless. So Lachesis as I am allow you to have power what do you see in your visions?”

Lachesis stared at him and shock her head. "I can not simply command the Vision to just occur, it's unpredictable and more often occurs when I am sleeping during the night. Since that vision I told you about, none has occurred to me. I am sorry Lord Irminsul. Lachesis apologises as the Eastern Lord was just informed magic is not working thanks Irminsul.

"Are you certain?" Magi Ortus asked for clarification and was indeed confirmed. "Just before my departure from the First Air Battalion. Lucky me anyways, but the Battalion would've been taken out of the sky due to whatever just, get an courier there and give me a set rep on them and bring medical personnel, the height which they've fallen would caused serious injuries!" The guard saluted as he went to perform his task as Magi looked back to the situation. "Daedalus might be an God Slayer, but even he has no experience to someone with supposedly centuries of it."

Daedalus huffed as he is now back to his original form as an skinny sunken elderly man against the walls of Caliban as he looked up at Lachesis with intrigue upon feeling the powerful white fire. "So.. that is your main objective then Albus?" Daedalus thought as he stood. "Fine then, I give in. A true man knows when you in shape to win after all."

Before Daedalus officially surrended, Hermes and those with him where in the throne having battle against Erika Chambers. Both Aclima and Takeko taken out with Hermes as the last man standing. Despite Chambers Speed Magic, Hermes was able to keep with her barrages of assaults, having been able to react accoreingly and keep up with her, shocking both her and the King.

"My my, I met many in my entire life but none as like you." Chambers praised as she stopped as she stood between Hermes and the King. "Seriously, I fight who had to use Perception Magic just to keep up with me but you... you're using your own physical body, your reflexes and phenomenal speed you have makes you quite special."

"Yeah.. they don't call me the Herald of Caliban for no reason, and I'll see what true speed is." However Chambers went to use her Speed Magic again only to find out... she did not, she began to run at normal speeds shocking herself and confusing Hermes. "What's wrong, too scared to use your magic against me knowing there is another equal to you?" Chambers shock turned to anger as she went to dash at him, again trying to her her magic to no avail. As it he just teleported, Hermes bashed his sword's hilt against her head, knocking her cold as she fell to the ground. The King was not aware how truly skilled the Herald of Caliban was until now. "Your Highness..." Hermes began as he held his sword. "you're now under arrest."

Irminsul, Alice, Wilhelm, Rafael, Phoebe, Edward, Zavid, Colette, and Invel went into the throne room. Companied by Emperor Caerleon and former empress Alexanna. “King Atreus you are found guilty of international war and because of your crimes against innocents, fashion, logic, love, and just being a roundabout no good son of a b*tch you are dethroned from the Caliban High Seat the throne of which symbolizes your rule. Guards take the former king away.” Irminsul had undid his Hliðskjálf which in turn had undid all the spells fueled by it.

“Such a emotional state to control that power is very difficult. Sure I can control Magic Power without any problem. But to control emotions is much harder.” Irminsul then had all the remaining lords, ladies, rest of Caliban’s Royal family to the throne room. “So whom is the next monarch?”

Before the Highguard walked him out, the orange hair Agravain walked up to Irminsul and the Empress and Emperor. "My Lords, considering his blood ties to you, do you want us to conduct his trials here in Caliban or in your home Empire. As ya may now, the judge is commonly the king and is not exactly fair on criminal offences. As such we feel it be best to hand him over to you, as you empire is much more faired in law as we re-organize Caliban?" Agravain suggested to the three.

Irminsul looked confused. “Trial what trial? Oh you think by surrendering I meant just surrender and try to prosecute.” Irminsul laughed. “Oh no no no, a trial is completely pointless. The entire continent knows of his war crimes. Not to mention Gemma gave him dozens of times to end all hostiles. All we wanted was a public apology and acknowledgement that Caliban started this way. So let me execute Atreus and whatever lord or anyone that supported this. Besides his soul belongs to me.” Irminsul summoned souls from one of the Books of Irminsul.

”When my bastard son Tyranus was defeated by me, I gave him an ultimatum. I could kill him or he could bind his blood and soul to me. So I used ancient Soul Magic. What he didn’t know is when he gave me that consent it gave me consent for anyone of his blood starting with him. Tyranus and all his children their very souls are mine. So release him to my custody and I will make sure he suffers. He cannot go to the afterlife unless I allow it. Very few of Caliban’s bloodline has. I told you I am Despair and the spell will broke instantly once this is over.” Irminsul was firm in his resolve after all he ended the war that not even the entire allies could have done as quickly. He saved millions of soldiers and citizens.

"Lord Mage." Hermes called out as he walked beside Agravain. "Everyone knows of his crimes yes, but if we do not conduct an tribunal even if we all know, formalities is a thing. If we don't do trial, then we're no better then the one who instigated this war. Caliban has been under an strict rule of law and one that discriminates against race and freedom. As such, to prove we're better then Caliban kings of old, lets go above them and give a fair trial. If you can not give a fair trial, then we in Caliban must." Hermes looked at Agravain where he understood as the orange haired man walked and ordered Atreus' imprisonment. "We'll imprison him here and due out trial, even if you disagree." Hermes told the God of Magic as his eagle flew onto his shoulder with a message. "If you excuse me." Hermes bowed with respect as he walked away to read a message as Lord of the East Magi Ortus walked into the room.

Irminsul sat on the Caliban’s High Seat. “So you expect me to just hand him over despite knowing what will happened? Interesting I suppose I can allow a trial. However, any punishments are to be measured out by me. I ended the war. Not negotiations, not emperor Caerleon, not even the other Warmages. I did so if you accept this I’ll accept a trial. Otherwise I will rip the soul from any people with even the smallest drop of Atreus’ blood and leave whom I believe would make for a good ruler.”

Hermes seems to be communicating to his eagle before responding. "I can allow that if the punishment is an just one. The people has been under an tyrannical rule for many years, we do not want another to dictate our actions again. Lord Mage, you believe his ways is wrong yes? Then don't force us under your heel, or else you'll no different then the kings of Caliban and thus relations can stagnate. I don't want another and I rather have a peaceful co-existence. That being said, you really harm innocent over one ideology carved into the minds of House Caliban? A fault not of the prince nor the three princess?"

Irminsul got up from the throne. “This isn’t a debate or a negotiation. I have made my point clear not to mention aside from Secundi and Lachesis here most of the rest of the bloodline are guilty of war crimes as well. You seem to think I want to rule Caliban. No I don’t there no love or hate for this country, I truly don’t care what happens to it. To be honest I have little attachment to Earthland anymore, I am usually far more content in one of my own worlds I fashioned into being. The only reasons I haven’t left Earthland permanently is because of my love for the empire, my family, the Warmages and how this world gives inspiration for my work. So have your trial, have whatever punishment, have whatever ruler you want. But don’t come to me asking for help when you hold all the power to help yourself. Lachesis and Secundi you might be my great, great, great, great, great, great, great grandchildren but be honest you don’t see me as your grandfather. You see me as just the man that stopped the war.”

"Well... 'grandfather', it be hard to see you as one when we never actually knew nor told." Secundi moved forward towards the warmage. "But why say my older sister being guilty of war crimes, along with myself? I am not changing blame, but we had no participate in any conflict, I stayed to protect the capital while my sisters were elsewhere, either studying or simply going out." As soon Secundi finished, an very odd magical presence surged nearby, an unique signature began to get closer to the throne room's door, causing all of the Highguard present to manifest their swords and where on high alert for whatever it was gonna walk in.

Irminsul could have responded but fell to the ground. He was… asleep. Alice left out a small sigh. “My my, it would assume sitting on Hliðskjálf has taken it’s tool on you. Don’t worry those, this will be taken care of before you wake up in a week or so.” Irminsul faded away. “Another of his safety features, if he passes out from using his Hlidskjalf spell he is transported to one of his worlds to protect himself. But don’t worry as the 2nd Warmage I will speak on behalf of the rest of Gemma. But who is that?” Asked Alice to Secundi?

Before Secundi responded, the door of the throne room opened wide, revealing the admanatine-dwarf Eitri, radiating an unusual magical aura. "W'here is Aclima and Hermes?!" Eitri asked with hast.

Trial of Atreus[]

The Lords of Caliban came to the castle. They saw Eitri and were confused. “We had hope to speak with the God of All Magic not a… witch and a dwarf.” One lord said with contempt. However, Alice seemed to exert her Magic Power the greatest source in the entire castle. “Oh you will find I am adept to speak on Lord Irminsul behave.” Said Alice while turning towards Eitri. “What are you, you aren’t human are you?”

"I am not a human young one, I am what one calls a dwarf though... my condition is far from a simple common situation." Eitri was a dwarf, but he far massive then one would think a dwarf would be as someone small, but his head is larger then everyone's in the room. "I didn't think warmages would be here?"

"They are here after we took in my father." Secundi commented, as Eitri looked over.

"Oh, yeah... I forgot about that war between two oppositions over something, most likely something stupid." Before Secundi went to say something, hew stopped himself. "I can see ya lot are contempt with the trial, then I'll wait before I start."

"Good, in any case we'll prepare a room for the trial, it'll take at least a day or two." Secundi then turned to Alice. "Will the God of Magic be ready for the trial?"

Alice looked for the first time unsure. “That is complicated. Using Hildskaji outside of the worlds he makes with his Space-Time Magic is higher dangerous. Yes he can use it as long as he wants, but the strain of it hits him all at once. He is then transported to a world that literally is a world of healing that can heal any aliment as long as they are alive. But I suspect he will return during the trial. I will speak in his place Secundi until such time he has returned.” Edward came forward.

“Prince Secundi, my I ask two questions of really all the royalty and nobility that is here. If Atreus is found guilty of war crimes and sentences to death. Than not only whom will become the next ruler of this nation? But will that ruler look to prosecute Gemma?” Edward was a highly logically person in his own right. “I suspect many citizens, military, even some of the Cardinal Gods are dead or maimed. I would want to know if any action would be initiated for the level of which Gemma countered. The other seven nations of Aeternum have agreed to step in if that is the case. I feel information is a necessary before any legal battle. Despite many appearances we the Gemma Empire don’t hate Caliban as a whole. We hate the current system and the current philosophy.”

"High chances of my sister, Lachesis to be taken as the new rulers, but in terms of anything against Gemma... No, I believe not as we rather not enter yet another war when Caliban is weakened." Then Lord Magi interrupted.

"Nephew, we do have some issues for concern." Magi turn turned to Edward and Alice. "I fear Albus may try to do something to instigated hostilities, and the Lord of the West has long since been out of contact along with the Southern Lord." Magi informed the two. "As for the others... I'll speak to Secundi to request the Highguard to visit and talk to family heads, see on their perspective of the matter. However as of right now, as my nephew said." Magi looked towards the princess. "Firstborn of Atreus is our new Queen of Caliban!"

A day after the coronation of Lachesis Caliban the Warmages gathered in the throne room with the Queen and her guards and honored guests. ”Queen Lachesis it is a refreshing sight to see someone of virtue on the throne. However, the trial will begin shortly. I Edward Fleming 6th ranked Warmage will be the represent the prosecution. Whom will you have to be his defense? Unless you wish to forgo the trial and pass sentence?”

"Yes, I do believe we have one possible candidate coming from House--" before Lachesis continued, an man of brown hair and an odd fashion sense entered the room

"I shall be taking over as the defense!" Richard of House Strauss exclaimed as he stood there. Richard was one of the only few who holds the Letter of Attorney, allowing them to hold political authority in a courtroom and get involve in trials such as the case with Atreus, defending the accused. "I am Richard Strauss, the one and only unofficial Attorney-General, and I am here to defend the king Atreus by any legally allowed means, at least in terms of absolute fairness and postivity."

"Warmages and Queen, this is Richard Strauss, he is to be the attorney defending Atreus but also bear in mind he is our legislator, he has been helping us in making new laws and policies to make life fairer in the court room, and to make the kingdom much more fair and just." Secundi explained as Richard walked forward.

"Yes, you lot do need some... fixing in that department and I have more experience in such areas then most of you here, excluding the warmates maybe... I am not really sure if ya lot understand law and order and all that, hm? If ya lived as long as I have then ya know certain excitement can only be attend through means."

Edward had brought tens of thousands of documents, showing the damage over the last century that Caliban caused Gemma. “So it begins.” As the Queen Lachesis represented the Judge, Richard the defense attorney, Edward the prosecutor, the remaining Warmages, Secundi, and four other lords for the twelve jurors.

Opening statements. “War such an easy word to describe what has happened for the last century. A more accurate word is conquest. The descendants of Tyranus wanted Gemma for centuries. They failed time and again. As a final insult they demanded a trial as if their crimes didn’t already have an automatic sentence attached to them. However, this is where we are at now. So I Edward will show you the crimes of Caliban, the Royal Family, the highest nobility, the nation as a whole. But I ask you don’t let emotional attachment make a punishment. Do it only on the evidence of their crimes which are numerous. In estimated damage, Caliban owes trillions in damages to Gemma. Not to mention the death of the former Empress. So I ask this one question which I will ask again at the ending is the trial. If you have power is it wrong to use it against those that attempt to steal it?

Far in the Northern Chapter, Albus was working on something that could overturn the very war despite Caliban’s already loss and surrender. He had the Treasure of Caliban Caledfwlch カレドフルク, Karedofuruku Lit. King’s Sword) a long lost relic of Gemma in his laboratory. For years he had tried everything he could to reverse engineer it’s power. According to legend, Tyranus the bastard son of Irminsul had stolen the Bastard sword. Created by Irminsul with his Nine Creation Myths not only does it’s magic exist independently of Earthland it possess truly dangerous power. It could erase any being from creation as it uses Arcanism to erase the life and death from what it cuts. However, as a safeguard it can’t work on Irminsul after all he did make. But Albus was still greatly intelligent and when the Magic God was in Caliban he had magic scanners to scan and take in small fragments of the Magic Power he emitted when using the Nine Creation Myths. While he couldn’t completely remove the safeguard as only Irminsul himself knows the complexities of his spellwork, Albus was able to allow it to able to kill him by using this power.

As the trial continued on Albus was summoned to the court. However, he was given immunity from trial if he would surrender. Which he did. But brought the sword with him. At this time Irminsul took over the prosecution. As he started to ask Albus questions it began getting hostile but continued on. Eventually Atreus was found guilty and his punishment wpudp be permanent imprisonment and exile. Irminsul would create a new world of just punishment for Atreus. He even activated his Hildskaji to make sure the world was made using his best techniques. However, Albus Re-Equipped the sword and attempted to cut off Irminsul’s head. But instead Irminsul moves out the way and instead cut off his left hand.

Aether the spell that basically made Irminsul truly immortal not just perennial youthful restored his hand no problem. But something happened. Irminsul seemed confused. “Where am I who are you?” The sword had “cut” his memories away. Albus didn’t realize that tampering with Caledfwlch it would cause any number of random effects on those it cut. Somehow Irminsul lost all of his memories. All he remembered was he was the God of Magic. “You attack me with one of my weapons?!” Irminsul bought Albus to the ground with telekinesis and grabbed Caledfwlch. He undid any alterations done to it. This caused his Hildskaji to go haywire. With Irminsul‘s memories to keep him in check, than the over rational and logically mindset to use Hildskaji completely took him over. “Whatever this is I know what I am suppose to do. I will protect the Wellspring from EVERYONE.” Before anyone could move Irminsul was gone, his home the Spiral Spire disappeared and even worse all the Magic Superweaponary disappeared as well. “As Irminsul left his spell stopped. “What did you do?!” Asked Alice.

Albus was confused as well. “But but but, I ran test after test. The sword should not have done this I mean…” Edward chimed in. “Albus your not skillful enough to rush altering the Magic of something created by Lord Irminsul. Now we have to deal with an emotionally unbound Irminsul.”
