Desmios Atlas (デスミオス アトラス Desumiosu Atorasu) is one of the servants of Zelretch Kenos and by proxy, of Ravenclaw Family. He utilizes Chain Dragon Slayer Magic thanks to devouring a chain dragon.

Appearance

Desmios has the appearance of a boy with short, messy black hair and cold, black eyes. He wears a black leather jacket with tattered sleeves along with black pants and black, fingerless leather gloves that have a circular symbol with four lines. He always carries a black scarf with a tattered end.

Personality

Desmios is a cold boy that pushes himself to the limit, driven by his thirst for revenge. He is merciless and treats those he fights as mortal enemies, beating them to death before restraining them and he can kill them if he is not ordered to capture them. He is thankful to Zelretch Kenos for giving him power and even when he learned the truth about the experiments he conducts, his loyalty and faith were unshaken and he treated them as necessary evil to one day bring a beneficial change to the continent. He despises dark guilds, with him having mercilessly destroyed two dark guilds before joining the guild and is delighted when he is ordered to capture dark guild mages.

Magic & Abilities

Great Magic Power: Desmios possesses great amounts of magic power, being able to fill his area with numerous chains and be able to capture many targets at once and have their chains maintained for great amounts of time.

Great Durability: Desmios has proved himself able to take on numerous hits and still keep going. He was able to endure a couple of hits and spells from Asimina Agni and Margarita Crystal and was defeated when the prior entered her Drive mode.

Expert Hand-to-Hand Combatant: While he tends to simply unleash his chains in order to capture targets and smack them around, Desmios is capable in close combat, being able to land some hits of his own while he utilizes his chains too for various tactics.

Enhanced Senses: As a dragon slayer, Desmios has enhanced senses such as hearing and smell.

Chain Dragon Slayer Magic

Chain Dragon Slayer Magic (連鎖滅竜魔法 Rensa no Metsuryū Mahō) is a Caster Magic, Lost Magic  Ancient Spell and a form of Dragon Slayer Magic that utilizes chains.

Chain Dragon Slayer Magic is a form of Dragon Slayer Magic that allows Desmios to generate, manipulate, and presumably consume (like other forms of Dragon Slayer Magic) the element in question, which in this case are chains. He has the ability to generate chains from various parts of his body and do simple things such as restraining one or multiple targets to more advanced things such as changing the properties of his chains or "chain up" things such as a single memory forever or a certain physical attribute or spell for a certain amount of time. The chains of this magic are described as inescapable and true to that, they are way more durable than even chains created by chain magic while Desmios can generate chains of varying form, state or properties. Despite their potent uses however, a user of slayer magic that deals with metal can devour and be immune to the chains created by this magic unless they are chains of pure magic energy which Desmios can create, but they pale compared to their finalized form while they require more concentration and magic usage.

Spells

• Chain Dragon's Binding Roar (連鎖の拘束咆哮 Rensaryū no Kōsoku Hōkō) : Desmios gathers magic power in his mouth and unleashes a pure magic beam that inflicts damage and traps those hit in chains.

• Chain Dragon's Flail Fist (連鎖のフレイル拳 Rensaryū no Fureiru Ken): Desmios gathers magic power in his fist and chains appear on his hand or hands while his fist is surrounded by a spiked ball to hit the enemy with. He can also make the chains elongate to their upper limit so he can strike enemies from a distance.

• Chain Dragon's Kick (連鎖のキック Rensaryū no Kikku): Desmios gathers magic power in his foot or feet and coats it with a spinning chain with which he attacks the target for both blunt and cutting damage.

• Chain Dragon's Life Chain (連鎖竜の人生鎖 Rensaryū no Jinsei Kusari): Desmios gathers magic power in his hand and creates a chain whose one end is metallic while the rest of the chain is made of magical energy. By his will, the chain impales a target and then begins to retract, slowly detaching their magic power. Said spell is able to catch and restrain the immaterial such as ghosts, souls and spirits.

• Chain Dragon's Bullet Chain (連鎖の弾丸チェーン Rensaryū no Danga Chēn): Desmios gathers magic power in his bent index finger and by pointing at a target, a barbed chain is fired swiftly and pierces the target, an effect occurring due to the chain fired being much more light in weight and less durable in comparison to the other ones created via this magic.

• Chain Dragon's Dance (連鎖の舞 Rensaryū no Mai): Desmios gathers magic power in his hands and rushes towards the target, unleashing a stream of chains that hits the target.

• Chain Dragon's Spinning Shield (連鎖竜の紡糸盾 Rensaryū no Bōshi Tate): Desmios generates magic power in his hands and generates numerous chains that circle around him upward in order to block spells, giving the feeling that he is inside a tornado of chains.

Advanced Spells

• Chain Dragon's Jail (連鎖の刑務所 Rensaryū no Keimusho): Desmios gathers great amounts of magic power in his hands and slams them on the ground and from beneath the target, numerous chains appear that form a chain prison. He has described this spell as inescapable via physical means due to the chains being extremely hard and durable while he can control them in ways such as making the chain bars move rapidly to imitate a chainsaw or control their temperature and state to make then scorching or shocking to touch. However, this spell requires quite a lot of magic power and concentration due to its scale.

• Chain Dragon's Armor (連鎖の鎧 Rensaryū no Yoroi): Desmios gathers great amounts of magic power and focuses it around his body, with his entire body being covered by a thick layer of chains not dissimilar to chain mail that offers a great offensive and defensive boost.

• Chain Dragon's Lock (連鎖竜の錠前 Rensaryū no Jōmae): Desmios generates an ethereal chain and has it being exposed to a certain element or attribute, with the chain blocking a specific element, magic, physical attribute or even things such as memories, with the latter being possible to be permanent in his case. It is highly believed that it can even seal one's disease by exposing blood in the chain.

• Chain Dragon's Torture (連鎖の拷問 Rensaryū no Gōmon): Desmios generates a chain with an anchor from his body and throws it at the target in order to pierce them and if he succeeds, both him and target have their sense of pain shared, with the one feeling pain the exact moment the other does. However, by utilizing a second chain on the target or on another living being, Desmios can redirect the pain he would normally receive on them.

Secret Dragon Slayer Arts

• Oppression Chain: Berserk Locking Hydra (弾圧鎖：ベルセルク施錠ハイドラ Dan'atsu Kusari: Beruseruku Sejō Haidora): Desmios gathers huge amounts of magic power in his hands which he claps, creating nine serpent chains with grappling hooked mouths that barrage and pierce the target from varying angles each. Also, he can make them hook body parts and retract themselves in order to dismember the target and he can even manifest them around the target by slapping his hands on the ground after he clapped them.

• Oppression Chain: Execution Drill Chain (弾圧鎖：実行錐鎖 Dan'atsu Kusari: Jikkō Kiri Kusari): Desmios gathers huge amounts of magic power and first surrounds the target in a vortex of chains that restrains it, with him then doing a counter-clock motion with his hands that unleashes a spinning drill made of chains that can pierce or do immense blunt damage.

• Desmios is the Greek Word for chained while Atlas was a Titan whose punishment was holding the sky, with the full name meaning Chained Atlas.
• Desmios' appearance is based on Sigma from Fate/Strange Fake.
