Dinosaur Soul (
Description[]
This particular form of Take Over allows the user to transform all or parts of their body into that of various dinosaurs, gaining the enhanced attributes and abilities of that form such as increased strength, speed or durability. A number of these 'dinosaur forms' can be used by a single Mage, being 'recorded' by encountering the different beasts and taking them over. It is said that the user actually defeated the beasts before "recording" their form. While in these forms the user is also weak to Dragon Slayer Magic.
Spells[]
Partial Take Over[]
- Dinosaur Arm: T-rex (暴君竜王 Bōkunryūō lit. Tyrant Dragon King): The user transforms one or both of their arms into that of a T-rex. This allows them to engulf their arms in flames increasing the power of their punches and gives them the ability to perform slashing attacks.
- Dinosaur Arm: Triceratops (三角竜 Santsunoryū lit. Three-horned Dragon): The user transforms one or both of their arms into that of a Triceratops. This spell, like Dinosaur Arm: T-rex, allows them to cover their arms with an element, in this case lightning, to increase the power of their punches and gives them the ability to perform slashing attacks.
- Dinosaur Soul: Wings (翼 Tsubasa): A variation of Dinosaur Soul: Pterosaur in which the user changes only their arms into wings whilst retaining the rest of their human features.
- Dinosaur Soul: Harpy (ハーピー Hāpī): A variation of Dinosaur Soul: Pterosaur in which the user changes their arms and the lower part of their body into their pterosaur-like versions, whilst retaining the rest of their human features.
Full-body Take Over[]
- Dinosaur Soul: Ankylosaur (鎧竜 Yoroiryū lit. Armored Dragon): The user transforms their body into that of an ankylosaur. This gives them increased durability, because of the Ankylosaurus' heavy armor at the cost of a decrease in speed. Despite appearances however, Dinosaur Soul: Ankylosaur has the ability to leap high in the air and use its weight to crush the enemy. The user can use their spiky-armored tail to smash the opponent and massive forefeet to cause pillars of earth to shoot up from the ground and slam into the foe.
- Dinosaur Soul: Brachiosaur (腕竜 Uderyū lit. Armed Dragon): The user transforms their body into that of a Brachiosaur. They can use their long neck and thick tail as massive clubs and powerful whips. This gives the user the ability to breath a stream of bubbles at the opponent and slam their forefeet into the ground to cause a wave of ice and water to erupt towards the enemy.
- Dinosaur Soul: Deinonychus (酷い爪 Hidoi Tsume lit. Terrible Claw): The user transforms their body into that of a Deinonychus. It attacks with its talons, which are almost half as long as its body and it's gigantic jaws. It can fire powerful blast of dark energy and its talons and fangs secret a powerful poison which can corrode most armor and forms of magical defense. It is the smallest and lightest of the Dinosaur Souls and has the highest running speed of them all clocking in at 100 MPH (44 m/s).
- Dinosaur Soul: Plesiosaur (首長竜 Shuchōryū lit. Long-necked Dragon): The user transforms their body into that of a Plesiosaur. This gives the user the ability to swim at high speeds and turn into fog to evade enemy attacks. The user can also fire pressurized water blasts and supersonic sound waves from their mouth at the opponent.
- Dinosaur Soul: Pterosaur (翼竜 Yokuryū lit. Winged Dragon): The user transforms their body into that of a Pterosaur. This form gives them the ability to fly at extremely high altitudes and at incredible speeds. They can also run very fast and leap very high into the air as well. It also gives the user enhanced eyesight with the ability to spot enemies clearly at altitudes of 10 km. The user can pierce enemies with their sharp beak, slash them with the claws on their feet and fire blasts of wind and beams of light from their mouth.
- Dinosaur Soul: Stegosaurus (剣竜 Kenryū lit. Bladed Dragon): The user transforms their body into that of a Stegosaur. The user can fire off the numerous bladed steel plates on the back at the opponent, attack enemies coming from behind with the spikes on their tail and spinning at high speed to turn into a living buzzsaw cutting the opponent with their spikes. The downside to firing off their plates is that once they do so they don't grow back reducing their offense and defense immensely and they can only do it again by leaving the form and coming back.
- Dinosaur Soul: T-rex (暴君竜王 Bōkunryūō lit. Tyrant Dragon King): A Full-body Take Over version of Dinosaur Arm: T-Rex, the user transforms their body into that of a T-rex. In addition to their arms, they can now engulf their entire body in and breath flames of a deep crimson as well as spew out an extremely high-temperature wind in either a continuous stream or all at one like a flash.
- Dinosaur Soul: Triceratops (三角竜 Santsunoryū lit. Three-horned Dragon): The user transforms their body into that of a Triceratops. In addition to their arms, they can now cover their whole body in lightning and produce blades of lightning from their horns and spin them at high speeds like drills.

Trivia[]
- These forms are references to multiple Dinosaur-based Digimon.
- The weakness to Dragon Slayers is a reference to the fact that in Japanese, the word 'Saur' translates to dragon. This even effects the Pterosaur form despite the fact that Pterosaurs are not taxonomically classified as dinosaurs.
