The Dragon Hermits (ドラゴン仙人 Doragon Sennin) are a group of the most powerful dragons in Pangaea that existed before the Dragon King Festival.
History[]
Long before the twilight of the dragons came to be, there were a handful of dragons that were accepted by all as the strongest dragons of the continent. and due to their usual soliditary nature became known as the Dragon Hermits. When the Dragon King Festival reached even Pangaea, all dragons were banished by decree of Phaneus and so the five dragons left Pangaea in order to battle at Ishgar. At the war's height, three of the dragons were slain by the soon to be Dragon King while the dragon Ocefilia lost her body and ended up with another form. Before the two remaining dragons of the group could be destroyed, they along with three others fled back to their homeland Pangaea.and those three dragons, Chlorelius , Cosmologia and Keraunophis , were accepted into the group. Once they returned, it is said that they have sealed the vestiges of a dangerous power.After these events, they would be also known as the Five Dragon Calamities due to their usual fights and once the Dragon Mother of Love Agathlea intervened, the tradition of their duels ended for good . However, due to the strong rivarly between them, they found an alternative solution; they would each find mages or orphaned kids with magic potentia and teach them Dragon Slayer Magic to pit them against each other and the dragon who's dragon slayer stays alive is considered the winner. with Dusklogia currently having 50 wins in 200 centuries.
Role[]
After the dragons returned, they were accepted by humans and gods wholeheartedly. However, the gods gave to some of them the task of helping in the maintenance of nature and they accepted. Chlorelius gained the task of revitalizing forests and plants and Keraunophis along with Ocefilia to cause storms and rains.
Personality[]
The Dragon Hermits are dragons that prefer to be left alone in peace, avoiding contact with others but contrary to that, they have a long history of dueling each other due to their pride as dragons. While they not dislike the idea of humans and dragons coexisting, they will kill and eat any human that will foolishly seek them in order to kill them for glory, something that many tried over the centuries. Almost all of them view humans as foolish and disposable which is shown in them tutoring humans at dragon slayer magic in order to become the dragons' pawns. Despite that view however, there are many cases in which they helped humans who came to seek their help for various reasons.
Location[]
The five dragons live in different locations. Ocefilia lives in a seafloor cave, Cosmologia lives in the Dawn Cave, Spilaion lives in a huge underground maze while Keraunophis is found atop the top of the continent's various highest mountains while Chlorelius is at the Elysium Woods .
