Iovia Godwin (イオビアゴドウィン, Iobia Godowin) is a knight-errant traversing the Esterian continent. A member of the burgeoning Godwin Family, she is but one example of them in their profession of choice: bounty hunting. Taking the time to balance good deeds with lasting results, Iovia is viewed as a friend of the "little man", willing to hold those in power accountable for their excesses. It's a far cry from her past; a peuchen by birth, she was one buried by the passage of time and movements of Earth, only to be revealed by the same processes and a outer's whims. The manifested dungeon attracted explorers who, curious and confident, poked the sleeping bear.

A fight followed. At first managing to overwhelm that which they awakened, their undoing followed their battle formation's destruction. Afterwards, they were picked off one by one, leaving only a stoic, armored "knight". Exiting alongside other vices, she would follow her instincts, weaving a path of sandy remnants which attracted her future mother. Though initially holding her own, she was quickly overrun upon the bounty hunter turning serious. The clincher? A burst of concentrated suspiria which triggered a transformation in Iovia. Now a youthful, human looking woman, she'd be taken into custody, saved from certain execution by the very person who captured her. Nonetheless, she would spend much time imprisoned; left with nothing but time for introspection, Iovia gradually charted out a new course in life. Following it ever since leaving life behind bars, she expanded her scope to tracking down the other "survivors" who emerged from the dungeon, creating a group in the process.
