Law of the Jungle (暴君獣王の大権(ロー·オ·ザ·ジャングル), Rō Of Za Janguru; lit. "Supreme Authority of the Tyrant Beast King") is a magic of a peculiar, yet arrogant nature — signifying mankind's "dominance" over all other creatures on the planets, lauding over their "superior qualities" and exerting their "right" to be suzerains of Earthland — though various instances in history says otherwise.

Alternatively, and appropriately, titled "Beast Supremacy Magic" (操獣の魔法, Sojū no Mahō), it's a form of Caster Magic, Lost Magic, and Subspecies Magic that allows one to subjugate and manipulate all beasts and beast-like entities, something it shares with Human Subordination, Demon Subordination Magic, and Ethereal Body Subordination Magic respectively; in fact, it's been molded after these aforementioned magic — seeing it as means to "tame those less-intelligent", and used throughout time memorable.

It is rumored to have served as the origin for the infamous Dragon Supremacy Magic, although this claim has not been verified.

Overview[]

Since the dawn of time, when the One Magic first touched down on the early humans, mankind has long been the orchestrators of their own infamy and controversy. Forced to contend with other fearsome races such asDragonkind to Demons, the humans of the Old World used all of the resources available to them to level the playing field. Harnessing the essences of Time, Light & Darkness, and even their own Imagination. And with time, Dominance personified.

As the One Magic retreated and potential dwindled, subspecies would grow and develop. Humans, Demons, even the Spirits and Strange Apparitions of the world. All were seen as threats who needed to be brought under heel. Then, as Dragons sought to establish themselves as the apex predators, it was not long until the other beasts and creatures a part of the ecology of Earth Land came to be viewed as nuisances. And so, this magic would be created.

Law of the Jungle - Bestial Aura

The deadly bestial aura of a practitioner manifested whenever the magic is in use; each one is unique with users.

Like it’s sister subjugating magics, Law of the Jungle works by the user flaring out their magical power and exerting it’s presence upon the general vicinity. An aura that takes the form of a strange and dangerous creature, it pulses out away from the caster to cover the area, carrying their will with them. In doing so, they impose the concepts of dominance and authority upon their targets; in this case of this magic, beings beasts: nonhuman creatures who are part of Earth Lands ecology, supernatural or not.

Law of the Jungle - Bestial Suppression

The user easily nullifying the movements of a beast attempting to attack them.

True to being a type of Subordination Magic, the effects of Law of the Jungle can be seen from the very moment of it’s activation. Differing from its sister magics, when first harnessed, it’s use is able to be sensed by all who are targeted by the magics. Described as a “shiver down their spines” by one speaking creature, another referred to it as a “tingling in the back of their head” that instinctively allowed them to sense that one with the power to subjugate them had arrived. Through this same effect, Law of the Jungle blesses its users with the ability to dampen, if not completely nullify, the abilities of magical creatures around them. From the roaring breath attacks of fearsome Dragons, to the lethal eyes and poisonous venom of the mighty Basilisk: the user is granted a protection that allows them to deviate them all. Even the mundane animals are not exempt: the magic capable of domesticating a feral lion to be as docile as a newborn kitten.

Law of the Jungle - Bestial Control

The practitioner manipulating one the various wild beasts under their command with the simplest of motions.

By far, the most useful aspect of Law of the Jungle is one shared with all branches of Subordination Magic: the ability to capture and release those influenced by the magic. Stored in a pocket dimension accessible only to the user, they can be used to swiftly turn the tide of battle, or simply to aid in their everyday lives.
