"How pathetic! You make it sound like I'm the bad guy here! Don't you understand? The difference between 'good' and 'evil' is in the opinion of those of higher power! I'm the strongest magician, I get to decide what happens here! As long as the faceless masses continue to worship the ground I tread on, I can do whatever I want. [...] So you're weighing your beliefs against your death. That's sentimental, but not realistic."
— Leanne Rockwell to Marisa Sejren, Starry Heavens, Daybreak S1

Leanne Rockwell (リアン・ロックウェル, Rian Rokkūeru) is a member of the Ten Wizard Saints in the Daybreak era of the Sun Trilogy, an extremely powerful magician working under the guidance of the Magic Council as one of their top enforcers. Leanne is the gold standard which most normal magicians aspire to be. However, she has an unrelenting hatred towards those who aren't human, as well as people who have different types of powers than what she sees as "normal".

Leanne is ranked first in terms of overall power amongst her fellow members of the Ten Wizard Saints, and because of her numerous exploits, she is rumoured to be the absolute strongest registered magician in the entire world as her strength is acknowledged all across Earth Land; being referred to as "The World's Strongest Magician" (世界最強の魔法使い, Sekai Saikyō no Mahōtsukai) by the magician population, though it doesn't seem to be a title given to her by the council. She's admired by every normal magician, though underneath her mask of being an embodiment of what a magician stands for, she's hiding a fair few nasty secrets.

In the Farewell, Knights arc of Daybreak S1, Leanne is the leader of Alexis Tenjouin's Divine Justice Squadron, a group of powerful, hand-picked magicians who deal out "justice", seeking to destroy anything that isn't magical in nature. However, her callousness is what leads Kirika Hotsuin to finally shake off her indifference towards magicians when Leanne begins targeting children who support the knights, causing Kirika to temporarily align herself with her arch-rival Tsuruko Sejren and her own group as they both have a common enemy in the Divine Justice Squadron.

After Kirika utterly thrashes Leanne during the Farewell, Knights arc, Leanne develops a rather one-sided rivalry towards her, with her fondest wish being to defeat her; though her defeat resulted in Leanne being stripped of her position in the council. Leanne becomes a recurring antagonist in the series as Kirika's personal foe. Both being extraordinarily powerful and having to deal with Alexis Tenjouin in their own way, her character is a contrast to that of Kirika.

Appearance

WizardSaintPerFull

Leanne's full appearance, in her battle armour.

Leanne's appearance is one of a great beauty; she has the visage of a buxom young woman in her mid-late twenties; interestingly, her appearance seems to be similar to Kirika Hotsuin, albeit Leanne appears a lot kinder on the surface, with softer features. Leanne is a fairly tall woman, at least slightly taller than Deen Lhant; in many of her scenes with the predominantly teenaged protagonists, she towers over them, though she's about the same size as Kirika. Leanne's long, blonde hair reaches down to her knees, being braided at the sides to connect from the back of her head to her bangs. Her bangs are parted in the middle, with two long and thick strands extending down to rest upon her chest, and three thick of clumps in an arrow-esque fashion cover her forehead, nearly covering her cold, azure eyes.

But of course, despite her angelic appearance and using weaponized light as her magic, Leanne isn't a very nice person.

Personality and Traits

Leanne Rockwell is seemingly a very kind Wizard Saint who is also a deeply religious woman; the adjective describing both her devotion to her beliefs, as well as her commitment to the ideals of law, order, and honour, being diligent and scrupulous. In publish, she goes out of her way to be polite to even those who do not return the favour, such as even Kaguya Kobayashi after learning that she wanted to follow in her footsteps. In addition, Leanne is well liked among those that share her righteous ambitions and disliked greatly by those who do not—she is Alexis' favourite magician on her payroll; she thinks of herself as a "Hero of Justice" (正義の英雄, Seigi no Eiyū), and the one to punish all evil doers. Leanne frequently states that she believes that magicians are to protect the citizens, and if they can't do that, then they must become strong enough to do so. Thanks to her natural charisma, she is idolized by nearly every normal magician.

However, hidden within the depths of her magnanimous personality is a much, much more merciless nature and an extremely nasty streak. Leanne believes, that as the "World's Strongest Magician" and due to being idolized by the masses blindly, she has the right to declare what is considered "taboo" and what is not; anything she calls as such, in her eyes, must be swiftly and suddenly exterminated. Indeed, Leanne's proclamations of a "Hero of Justice" become quite dark as she has a seething hatred for anything that she is not, bordering on fantastic racism. This is shown by her desire to personally hunt down and kill every Hellion to exist, as well as her ambition to slay the remaining dragons. Her hatred towards criminals is much worse—she will chase them to the ends of the earth and do anything that it takes; however, while she prefers not to get innocents involved, though if they do get involved, she will not go out of her way to protect them. However, she shows no mercy to her enemies or anyone who opposes her, even murdering people such as loiterers and people who don't pay their taxes.

She is originally the one who suggests to Alexis Tenjouin to put a ban on anything non-magic related, the Soul Armours in particular, as she believes that with more and more Qualified appearing, her own fame will take a dive and people will not follow her words anymore. Over above everything else, Leanne seems to relish the power and influence being strong has given her, and tends to take desperate measures if she sees a threat to her authority; indeed, because of this, she has a poorly-veiled arrogant streak and condescendingly refers to those who aren't magicians as immature "children" and she along with the fellow Wizard Saints as the "adults", believing that the combat scene should follow her directions. She often taunts her opponents in battle, and takes every opportunity to make a spectacle of herself even without an audience, often declaring her superiority and issuing challenges to anybody willing to face her, as well as projecting a "hero" role to the public. However, Leanne is also quite bloodthirsty, as she derives great pleasure smacking around those weaker than her; though she tends to lose control and enter a psychotic rage when somebody she sees as inferior gets the best of her.

History

Not much is known about Leanne's past; however, it was mentioned that she was born to an upper-class family in Era; and when she was young, she was incredibly wealthy and even had a butler.

Synopsis

Equipment

Nothung (ノートゥング, Nōtungu): Nothung is the name of Leanne's personalized weapon; it was developed by the Magic Council's R&D department specifically for her usage. The Nothung is a deltoid-shaped blade- or rather, it normally takes the appearance of a rather futuristic, yet normal-looking sword, with a mainly dark-blue texture that only gets darker towards the tip. However, similarly to an Eternano Saber, when Leanne fuels the weapon with her magical aura, a sharp triangular shape of emerald energy will surge from the vents that litter both edges of Nothung, forming a shape of energy over the normally metallic sword. This emerald energy is high-energy eternano particles which are precisely shaped and molded through the manipulation of the particles to form a blade-shape that is permanently frozen within place using a thin sheet of Leanne's Magical Aura which is so microscopic that they would not devour the eternano- known as a "casing", with the surging of the user's Magical Aura super-heating the blade portion of the weapon as to produce an effective cutting blade. The termination of the "casing" of the eternano along a solid contact surface allows the eternano to eat away at the offending material until the "casing" reestablishes itself, allowing the weapon to "cut" through almost any target. Likewise, as Nothung's "casing" repels eternano, it not only keeps the blade's eternano in but also keeps eternano out allowing it to be harnessed in order to defend against magical attacks. The Nothung is classified as a High-Frequency Blade (高周波の剣, Kōshūha no Ken), which is a sword reinforced by a powerful alternating current and resonates at extremely high frequencies, creating an extremely sharp blade. The Nothung can easily slice through 300 mm of reinforced steel in a single stroke, and it has been specially customized with a motorcycle-like gear shift which, when pulled, sprays more of Leanne's Magical Aura across the blade and opponent, greatly increasing the power of its blows. Indeed, it can be revved up to three times, and can be released either in one incredibly powerful strike, or as three lesser, but still strong, blows; increasing the range and inflicted damage of its attacks. For certain techniques this changes their performance entirely. Because enhanced attacks inflict more damage, this is one of Leanne's most valuable assets in a battle. This system is also strong enough for Leanne to be able to use it as a jet.

Powers and Abilities

Physical Abilities

Ways of Combat

Master Swordsmanship Specialist: For all of her many, many faults, Leanne is one of the better sword users within the Daybreak era; though whether or not it's a testament to her skill considering that not many people solely utilize weapons is a debate best left for another time and place.

  • Sword Pressure (剣圧, Ken'atsu): Sword Pressure is a basic ability which can be learned by almost everyone and their mother, but it sure is deadly if utilized properly; it is the most basic techniques that one can perform with their sword. When performing the Sword Pressure technique, the user swings forward with their sword, swinging the blade so swiftly that it seems that the user is able to utilize air itself to slice enemies, focusing a current of wind to the point where it takes on a sharp edge, which the user launches at foes; sending it through the air towards the user's enemy. It is a powerful blade of pressure that appears as faint ripples of wind that is launched towards the foe at high speeds; this attack enables the user to assault things which are out of their sword's range, sending slashes which fly through the air itself; and can even remain floating in it until the right moment to slash. The person struck by the sword pressure is assaulted by countless invisible blades which happens so fast that they would normally be unable to properly react in time, carving up their body. Also, the strong wind power will blow away all incoming projectile weapons and will even make the opponent unable to stay on their feet; this technique possesses enough power to slice down many trees in a forest. This technique can deflect both physical and sound wave attacks and attack at the same time, making it both an offensive and defensive technique. These blades of wind possess incredible range and devastating power; and at its highest level of mastery, the sword pressure is capable of cutting through barriers of magical energy; and they can even remain floating within the air until the right minute to slash.
    • Sword Pressure: Sky-piercing Fang (剣圧・穿空牙, Ken'atsu: Senkūga): Sword Pressure: Sky-piercing Fang is an extension of the Sword Pressure ability; when performing it, Leanne swings her blade around above her head momentarily, gathering wind upon her blade—in an instant, Sherry thrusts her blade forward, having molded the wind into a "coat" upon her blade. This releases the wind in the form of a slowly but surely expanding bullet that shoots forth at incredible speeds, blasting into the opponent; moving so fast that the bullet's movement is invisible, and it truly seems like she shoots her opponent, except that the resulting impact is not akin to an actual pistol, but to a small hand-held cannon and powerful enough to propel the unlucky recipient several meters away. The incredible speed both makes the strike far more powerful, and harder to dodge; connecting instantly with the target. This attack possesses incredible power, able to tear through non-magical armours with relative ease. The shape of this technique is derived from a jagged bullet, hence the hit of this technique will have more of an impact on actual magical defenses since it is sharper than the round bullet and resembles more modern bullets. It is a very useful technique that can connect rapidly and accurately, which works well with her impressive speed and agile techniques.
  • Sword Magic (剣の魔法, Ken no Mahō): Sword Magic is a Holder Type Magic used by various mages. Alongside Requip, this is one of the most common magics in existence. It is a Magic which, as the name itself suggests, is focused around the use of swords, with those weapons acting as mediums for the user to perform particular attacks. In order to use Sword Magic, the user starts by channeling eternano directly into a specially constructed magic blade that causes a chain reaction to the sword, having the blade alter its entire structure until it reaches an unstable form of metal and magic, allowing the person to manipulate it into a solid shape that can also engage the spell that the user sees fit to use. In some cases, when the person condenses the unstable structure, they often add their own elemental affinity magic, allowing for the user of elemental sword spells to be created through the effective means of the user. During the time after the sword spell is used, the eternano is immediately ejected from the blade, allowing the instability, the result from the eternano, to cease and transform the blade back to its normal shape. However, there are certain risks to using this magic as it takes much mental focus and incredible magic control in order to allow the blade to be altered in its solid shape, and to be controlled in its unstable form. When the user often attempts to make any spell, their hand is to remain on the hilt at all times, due to the fact that unless the eternano is controlled and is kept at a steady flow into the blade, the blade will simply revert back to its normal shape while the Eternano is simply ejected outward. Many of such moves are shown capable of going past the physical reach of the blade employed in their use, threatening foes at short-to-mid range. Some Sword Magic techniques seem to involve the use of elements commonly found employed by elemental forms of Magic, such as Fire Magic; in addition, Telekinesis is shown to be frequently employed alongside it, in order for the user to maneuver several swords at the same time. A number of different blades can be employed for such Magic, with the most recurring ones being longswords and katana. In some cases, certain moves might even involve the change of the sword's properties, such as its length. Leanne is different from most other Sword Magic users, as she does not have a specific style of combat; indeed, she only seems to have numerous different Sword Magic spells with seemingly no connection at all.
    • Sword Beam (魔力剣波 (ソード・ビーム), Sōdo Bīmu lit. Magical Power Sword Wave): Sword Beam is one of the most basic Sword Magic spells to exist; while it is unknown, perhaps it is one of the first spells to be developed, as it is the basis for any magical attack that launches some sort of energy from a weapon; it allows the user to fire a wave of magical power from their sword. When performing the Sword Beam spell, the user infuses their sword with their magical energy, condensing it to its utmost limit, converging at a singular point—the tip of the sword; intensifying the kinetic energy that is about to be released by convergence and acceleration. This process can take from about half a second to a full minute, depending on the user's preferences or the properties of the blade; the caster is capable of compressing even more of their magical energy upon their sword to achieve a higher level of power. In any case, once this process has been completed, at the instant of the slash, the user swiftly releases the magical energy compressed upon the blade which magnifies the slash attack, unleashing it in the form of a wave of energy that flies forward at high speeds. The principal use of Sword Beam is to strike at adversaries outside of the sword's range, effectively nullifying the claim that swords are meant for close-range combat only. In any case, the Sword Beam spell, without any modifications, is extremely powerful, as it possesses great force that enables the user to unleash large-scale damage and destruction. Upon impact, the Sword Beam spell causes a large explosion with enough momentum to breach defenses; making it extremely powerful, ripping into the ground and destroying a very large prison building. A single swing of it is more than enough to disperse an entire rainstorm; as well as demolish a large radius of the surroundings and leave behind a huge crater in the wake of the attack. It can be utilized in many ways; striking at the ground allows the user to unleash the energy condensed upon their blade as an omnidirectional blade which can used as an impromptu shield for incoming attacks while upturning the earth before them; the debris of which crushes everything in its path. The attack requires about two seconds to travel a few hundred-kilometer distance, and the user can immediately fire the next attack after confirming a miss as long as they have magical energy left.
      • Charge (チャージ, Chāji): Going back to the part about being charged; the user is capable of adding more of their Magical Aura onto the blade when they are initiating the attack to achieve a higher level of power; this process, while it does result in the spell being launched at an ever-so-slightly later date, it can drastically enhance the power, width, and size of the Sword Beam spell, and as such, the option of charging can mean the difference between victory and defeat in the heat of battle. Generally, the charging speed of the Sword Beam spell takes about two seconds down to the letter, and if the Sword Beam spell is charged, it travels in a straight line, but when fired without charging, it flies in an up-and-down wave motion. The user is also capable of continuing to hold the spell in its magical energy compressed form and move around as normal; this can serve as a way to take advantage of extra power while taking evasive action. The user is capable of interrupting the charge of the attack by grabbing their weapon with their free hand; the charge cancel can be used to bluff an opponent by allowing them to come close to the caster while they're charging, only to find themselves attacked by another method.
    • Spell Blast (対呪剣斬 (スペル・ブラスト), Surperu Burasuto lit. Anti-Magic Sword Slash): Spell Blast is a special Sword Magic spell that is mostly utilized to take powerful projectiles out of the equation; while extremely powerful, it is simultaneously very weak. Spell Blast is simply an ordinary sword slash; though it does have a unique property—when the user focuses magical energy into the tip of their blade, slashing forward. Spell Blast runs off of "spell priority", which is a property of spells that describes their behaviour upon interacting with other spells. While the priority of the blows produced by normal spells follows a set of rules that is dependent upon the amount of damage they deal (the law of high and low priority), Spell Blast possesses a special kind of priority called transcendent priority, which ignores the rules of normal priority. Transcendent priority describes the set of rules that apply to transcendent spells (such as those from Lost Magic and Black Arts), as distinct from normal spells. While particular spells are assigned transcendent priority due to their overwhelming power; the property is not inherent of any attack type or character. Because Spell Blast has transcendent priority, it ignores the rules of normal priority: it cannot collide with, clash with, cancel out, or be cancelled out by other spells. It works by targeting the tiny buildup of energy in the dead center of the middle of the attack, causing a chain reaction where the energy disperses in an instant, essentially destroying the opposing attack. Because of Spell Blast, a user is known to be extremely hard to overcome for long-range fighters—especially users who devote their entire life to unlocking the secrets of the energies, as the user can just destroy their powerful attacks with a single swipe of their sword. One thing to note, is that while Spell Blast has the power to phase through everything, it is extremely weak compared to other spells—as it is a simple sword slash, there are no aftereffects, or anything like that to bolster its performance.
    • Overblade Mode (神刀波 (オーバーブレード・モード), Ōbāburēdo Mōdo lit. Divine Blade Surge), also known as "Seeing Red" (拝見緋, Haikenhi) is a unique Sword Magic spell, that's one of the few to not involve a sword of sorts. It increases the flow of magical power within the user's body for a few moments, enabling them to perform sword techniques and maneuvers that they would normally be unable to do. When activating the Overblade Mode, the user's willpower causes a surge within their magic origin; the magical energy being constantly pumped into the user's limbs takes ahold of the user's limbs momentarily, and breaks down the stray magical energy within the immediate vicinity. From here, the user's magic origin absorbs the components of the magical energy, and begins to pump it into the user's own body until magical energy is scattering off of their limbs. At this point, the user is capable of controlling their body as if they were in a lucid dream, as the magical energy is directed by their willpower, essentially making the user's body a puppet to their own mind. The transition into Overblade Mode is indicated by their eyes turning a haunting crimson; with red arrow-like markings manifesting underneath and above their eyes. Because of being controlled by their own thoughts, the user's speed and reflexes are drastically increased, allowing them to make split-second movements on a whim without any prior warning; they become far above any normal magician in these fortes. In this state, the user perceives time much slower than any other magician and the like; as it seems as if the world has slowed down to an eighth of its speed. As such, when Overblade Mode is active, the user is capable of slicing objects and unprotected enemies to pieces in a split second; but only against enemies without any armour. Indeed, the user has to attack armoured enemies a bit to break up their armour and make them vulnerable. The drastically enhanced reflexes and speed enable the user to unleash powerful attacks such as Moonglade and Dancing Edge, which would normally be impossible due to the incredible reflexes and timing needed to show their full power. In any case, Overblade Mode enables the user to aim their blade at their foes more accurately, as it is a given that their strikes will rarely, if ever miss when harnessing this spell. However, with great advantages come great disadvantages; the might of Overblade Mode is lessened by the fact that since the user is controlling their own body in a similar manner to that of a puppeteer with their puppets, they may throw away any regard to anatomically possible movements and dislocate some of their limbs—even though their limbs are controlled by magical power in Overblade Mode, the body is only human, and as such, it still suffers the same limitations as normal. As such, if the user isn't careful, they could end up being unable to continue battle after Overblade Mode ends. Another weakness is that, of course, Overblade Mode drains an enormous amount of magical power from the user's body; and as such, it is recommended that the user only harnesses it for momentary bursts of power.
      • Moonglade (魔神月詠斬 (ムーングレード), Mūngurēdo lit. Demon God Moon Song Slash) is a powerful Sword Magic spell; essentially, Moonglade enables the user to catch the enemy's projectile within the cold steel of their blade and absorb it before attacking, which bolsters the power of the strike. Moonglade is known to be almost insurmountably powerful; in order to harness the spell, the user must be in Overblade Mode; as it's the only source of power that would allow the user to harness the spell to the best of its ability. Once in Overblade Mode, the user grips their blade tightly, gathering and condensing magical energy emitted from their magic origin upon the sword; this causes the sword to glow a light blue. With an enemy's attack heading towards the user, the moment that they raise their blade, the cold steel of the weapon allows the user to absorb the opposing attack through the tip of the blade via the sword's cold steel, converting it into a harmless force via slowing the kinetic energy of the blow and allowing the sword's tip to consume it, focusing it into the tip instantly, bolstering the power of the user's next technique enormously. That which the user can absorb are nearly any type of magic- excluding Lost Magic, and even some naturally made projectiles; as long as it has kinetic energy, the user can use it to boost their next attack. Once the user's sword has absorbed the attack, the blade glows ever-brighter; which strengthens and accelerates the attack faster than it was originally fired, while adding their own attack into the mixture, making it much more difficult for the opponent to dodge. From there, the user swings the sword forward violently, unleashing a god-speed slash of imaginable power which is able to pierce armour and magical defense as if they were made out of wet paper. A single direct hit is often enough to force opponents to exhaust their own magical energy completely in an attempt to cushion the blow, effectively rendering them drained; however, due to the extreme power of Moonglade, it will more often than not kill any unprepared foe instantly. The motion of the slash causes red rose petals to be released from the sword; these are simply a visual effect; though if Moonglade strikes an object or an unprepared opponent, they will dissolve into rose petals.

Master Hand-to-Hand Combatant: Due to being trained in various styles of martial arts; Leanne is a deadly unarmed combatant; she has shown herself capable of taking on a whole range of opponents while unarmed, even being able to catch their weapons easily with her hands due to her reflexes.

Physical Prowess

Enhanced Strength:

Immense Speed and Reflexes:

Tremendous Endurance: Leanne has demonstrated extreme durability, being sent crashing through a wall and landing without a flinch or a minor injury, suffering no damage at all from some of Kirika's unarmed attacks, and emerging unharmed from a high-level fire spell during her crusade to destroy the knights, continuing to fight as if nothing happened, displaying an incredible amount of resilience. She can survive getting caught in the crossfire from all angles by heavy magic bombardment, and merely shrugs it off; and she can smash spires of Lacrima with her fist without showing any sign of pain or injury. In addition, she has shown to possess a vast amount of physical endurance, being able to hold the upper hand against Sion and Kaguya at the same time before holding her own against Kirika for a brief while, all the while showing almost no signs of weariness despite having cast powerful spells in rapid succession.

Magical Abilities

Immeasurable Magical Power: As the absolute strongest of the Ten Wizard Saints in the Sun Trilogy, Leanne is in possession of a positively enormous amount of magical power, far more than anyone legally recognized as a magician. As one of the most skilled magicians of the current age, Leanne has natural control over the exertion of her magical power, keeping it contained to the point where it is virtually impossible to detect her by normal means, though the constant effort can be taxing. The magical energy itself, when manifested, is a vibrant red, crackling intensely when Leanne focuses; when Leanne's power is at it's peak, it transforms into the frightening visage of a tiger which surrounds her, striking fear into the hearts of her foes. It is so great it can be felt from a great distance and it has the tendency to make people perspire in fear. Her skill and control at using manipulating her magical energy aura allows her to perform a variety of abilities. Additionally, the sheer aura radiating from her person has the additional effect of affecting entire areas to the point of disrupting spells from enemies, as well as affecting others from seemingly miles away. Magic originates from a Magic Origin (魔原, Magen), which is exactly what the wording indicates—it is a special organ that is located within the body of a magician, that absorbs eternano and bunches it up into clusters, which is processed into magical power. Every Mage has a container inside their body that determines the limits of their Magic Power; this is precisely what a Magic Origin is. If the case becomes empty, eternano will come from the atmosphere and enters the Mage's body and after a while, their Magic Power is restored. Interestingly, Leanne is capable of morphing the properties of her magical power; as it normally saturates the vicinity as purple puffs or clouds of magical power, that usually shifts from the texture of a raging red to a mystical silver; these clouds are the embodiment of Leanne's thoughts, brought forth by her absolutely enormous magical power—people will perceive her magical energy all around the area, instead of it originating from Leanne's body, leaving them unable to exactly pinpoint Leanne's existence. Leanne's magical energy is called an Energy Core, which is a fundamentally different from those of any other being; while any other being's body can be considered a machine which creates energy, hers acts as a factory which creates energy. It functions as an enormous energy core with tremendous capacity that generates energy independent from her body simply through breathing. This is the main source of her absolutely incredible magical power.

  • Second Origin Activation (二番原解放, Nibangen Kaihō): Second Origin Release is a spell exclusively mastered by those mages who possess the control and power to summon their Second Origin without it passively inducing its effects. Second Origin is a force known as the "second container" of magical energy in an individual. This container exists due to the mage in question constantly, and passively, absorbing a quantity of magic from the environment to renew their original reserves. Any excess is placed within this container and kept sealed until absolutely necessary, or unlocked through a Second Origin Release spell. This Second Origin, when initially activated, places an enormous level of stress on the body unless it is awoken in gradual amounts, as the body isn't accustomed to handling so much magical energy in the body at one time. This can be circumvented by mages with control of their magic, however, allowing them to restore the magical power as a reserve that can be accessed whenever required, therefore providing an extremely useful back-up. Second Origin Activation can only be taken place, as said before, by mages who have control over their own magical energy. It generally only works when one is in a magic-rich environment and has nearly exhausted their initial supplies. By absorbing a copious quantity of magic from the surrounding environment passively (which can be noticed through a tingling sensation in the body), the user's internal reserves can be released at the same time. This, in turn, allows for an immense quantity of magic to replace the initial, depleting reserves. Notably, one can allow the Second Origin to passively increase the quantity of magic that is within it, so long as it isn't used during this period of time, otherwise it has to accumulate magic once again.
  • Magical Aura (魔力の霊気, Maryoku no Reiki): A Magical Aura is a common term given to the exertion of magical energy into a form outside of the user's body that isn't used in the formation of spells. It has been demonstrated by various mages of varying potency, and is a common means of intimidation. A magical aura is created when the body's container of Eternano particles exceeds the limits of what it contains, or is purposefully released by the user. Upon doing so, the magical energy surges around the body and is exerted outwards in the form of an aura, which holds considerable pressure surrounding it. Depending on the level of magical power one possesses and the control behind it, it can be used as a means to intimidate another individual, or as a preparation for a powerful spell. A single magical aura can have a wide variety of effects dependent on the power an individual exerts, which will be outlined in the following sections. A Monster Aura, as it is classified, is the strongest classification of aura to date. Only extremely powerful mages are capable of this aura, and are generally Guild Aces, if not masters. Upon release, the magic almost consumes the user in their color, leaving nothing but a phantom-like apparition to remain. It should also be noted that the aura is far wider, and is generally uncontrolled by the individual. However, "Monster" auras aren't limited to intimidation, and can be used for the preparation of a spell. This was demonstrated aptly by Leanne when she was beginning to cast her True Heavenly Body Magic spell, distorting the environment due to the sheer level of magical power concentrated in the atmosphere thanks to her release of power. It is also worth noting that the pressure exhibited from such an aura can form a large column of energy, leaving the pressure enough to visibly cause strain on individuals even from a considerable distance away from the exertion of the aura, indicating at the sheer level of power within this aura.

Assorted Magic

Assorted Magic (雑魔法, Zamahō): Magic is the main form of combat for Mages; it is the physical embodiment of the spirit. When the physical spirit of an organism connects with the spiritual flow of nature, the spirit forms Magic as a product of the connection. To utilize Magic, a Mage must use Magic Power (魔力, Maryoku) in their body. Magic Power is the source of Power for all Mages, it is composed of Eternano (魔子 (エーテルナノ), Ēterunano lit. Magic Particles), which is the term coined to name particles of Magic. Eternano dwells inside all living organisms and throughout the atmosphere. Nobody knows when Magic began, or how Eternano originated. Eternano is the source of Magic Power for all Mages; and every Mage has a container inside their body that determines the limits of their Magic Power. If the case becomes empty, Eternano will come from the atmosphere and enters the Mage's body and after a while, their Magic Power is restored. Eternano has near-zero rest mass - though, like any particle, its mass increases to reflect its potential or kinetic energy - and can carry either a positive or negative charge. In order to cast spells, a magician derives the power necessary from two sources: their own body's Magic Origin (魔原, Magen), and the atmosphere. A Magic Origin is exactly what the wording indicates—it is a special organ that is located within the body of a magician, that absorbs eternano and bunches it up into clusters, which is processed into magical power.

Every Mage has a container inside their body that determines the limits of their Magic Power; this is precisely what a Magic Origin is. If the case becomes empty, eternano will come from the atmosphere and enters the Mage's body and after a while, their Magic Power is restored. It appears that the concept of using a proportion to the user's Magic Origin or the atmosphere is dependent entirely upon the magic used in question. With internal magic such as High Speed, one requires the use of their own magic far more than external magic such as Fire Magic, where they generally rely more on atmospherically magic. By collecting eternano and subsequently imbuing it with a certain 'command' through either an incantation, hand gesture or a simple spell name, allow it to then mysteriously take upon a characteristic unique to that spell. Interestingly, some magicians, if they are descended from unique families, have shown that they are capable of replenishing their eternano faster thanks to unique traits. However, recent studies have identified another, unused, part of a Mages' Magic container that contains a large amount of dormant power: the Second Origin. If a Mage somehow manages to unlock their Second Origin, they will then receive an enormous boost in Magic Power, or they can wait until the right moment to unleash the Magic Power of their Second Origin in order to gain an advantage in the battle.

As the "Strongest Magician in the World", it should not be a surprise that Leanne is easily one the most prodigious magicians of the current age; she is an expert at developing new spells and new ways of using old spells, and an expert at delayed spells. Thanks to her natural genius, Leanne is capable of weaving spells together; and her magic is noticeably more stable than most others with magic abilities, and therefore it does not breakdown at all and is not easily deflected; it can be said that Leanne's spells are almost unstoppable due to her cunning. Leanne, due to her incredible skill, is able to cast spells up to the high #80's range without the need for an incantation without any loss of power. Magic can be used to either destroy or save the world; and by definition, it is the art of producing a desired effect or result through the use of incantation or various other techniques, that presumably assure human control of supernatural agencies or the forces of nature. Because of her immense mastery of magic, Leanne can chain up to a maximum of thirty spells together by applying her great mind and concentrating; focusing to her utmost limit—because of this connection, the special effect of the casted spells are sprung into activation instantly after the spell before it, or at the exact same time as one another. This enables Leanne to unleash attacks in swift succession and effortlessly overpower her opponents quickly.

  • Teleportation Magic: Move Point (瞬間の魔法・座標移動 (ーブ・ポイント) , Shunkan no Mahō: Mūbu Pointo lit. Teleportation Magic: Move Target): Teleportation Magic is a Caster Magic that does exactly what it says upon the tin—it allows the user to cover very large distances in the blink of an eye. In order to perform Teleportation Magic, the user releases extremely high purified magical particle concentrations; and in that instant burst, their magical energy envelops them and reduces their body to elementary particles; contacting the space-time continuum in the location that they wish to appear in; after that, they are instantaneously reassembled in said location, literally teleporting. It makes for an extremely fast and effective means of transportation, and can also be used in combat when the situation requires fast actions. Move Point is a specialized Teleportation Magic spell that the user is capable of utilizing; it is an experimental spell developed by the Magic Council for the purpose of achieving high-speed movement, far beyond the likes of regular magic can provide. When performing Move Point, the user releases extremely high purified magical particle concentrations; and in that instant burst, their magical energy envelops them and reduces their body to elementary particles; contacting the space-time continuum in the location that they wish to appear in; after that, they are instantaneously reassembled in said location, literally teleporting. It is essentially a form of short-range spatial teleportation. Using this ability, the user is capable of traveling over short distances in an instant, even in the midst of battle. In dire situations when an enemy target is about to fatally hit the user, they are capable of instantly jumping away and flanking their enemy's position (usually several meters from behind or side). Move Point itself leaves a particle shadow of the user, fooling the enemy with the image of a false victorious blow. The maneuver often leaves the opponent confused and distracted long enough for the user to do serious damage and/or defeat their enemy targets. The user has a maximum range of two kilometers and can teleport objects with a mass up to 4520 kg, though the trainers told them that they would damage their body if they move anything more than 1000kg; a restriction that has been overcome since the present time. More often than not, the user milks it for all it's worth, and, in a fight, uses Move Point to constantly disappear and appear at will, hitting, running, and flanking without any effort at all and barely any threat of counterattack. Teleportation is not a rare magic, but it always takes some "phase time" to complete the transportation, during which the caster cannot do anything else: for this reason, it is seldom used in combat. Move Point however, is a spell which can reduce the phase time to a level suitable for combat down to zero.
  • Requip (換装 (レキップ), Rekippu lit. Express Elementary): Requip is a Holder Type Magic that pertains to the summoning of various types of equipment. This Magic allows the user to store items in a pocket dimension so they can easily summon it at any time, even during battle, which gives them a high level of flexibility in combat. It is said that the user summons the items from a pocket dimension; the notional place that things come from when they are needed, and where they go back to when not. The actual location of where they summon the items is very hard to determine. There seems to be a great deal of it behind their back and on the opposite side of thin things like lampposts and slender trees. It contains only a few things, not because it is limited in capacity, but because that is all it is ever used for - for example, this is where the user normally summons the armour and their equipment; withdrawing things even during battle, which gives her a high level of flexibility in combat. However, there is a limit to how much the pocket dimension can store. Requip can be used for simple or for combat-related purposes; and the user may just choose to use it to change their clothing, capable of using it in the midst of battle. The user would often pull any items that they had collected out of nowhere and then they would just vanish without any physical means of transporting them. However, there is a limit to how much the pocket dimension can store. Requip can be used for simple or for combat-related purposes; the user can also just choose to use it to change their clothing.
    • Durandal Armour (デュランダル・アーマー, Dyurandaru Āmā): The Durandal Armour is the third Magitek Armour to be seen- it is the main armament of Leanne Rockwell, the so-called "Strongest Magician in the World". The Durandal Armour is a lot more revealing than the other Magitek Armour models, which is certainly saying something. The Durandal Armour consists of nothing more than a blue and white cybernetic-looking bikini that has transparent sides, and thigh-high boots in matching colours. The Durandal Armour also has elbow-length gloves with armoured portions. Attached to the back is a three-pronged protrusion on each side, along with similar guards transfixed to Leanne's upper thighs. The Durandal Armour has been modified for optimal performance, boasting higher capabilities than the others. It is the only one of the initial Magitek Armours shown to be continually upgraded until it becomes a third-stage Magitek Armour, right before Leanne's final battle with Kirika. The Durandal is shown to be equipped with long variable X-shaped thrusters, composed of four thrusters can be pointed at any direction: the main thrusters allow high mobility around the upper atmosphere, while combined into one huge rocket column they largely increased Leanne's top speed, without increasing the size and mass of the armour, and therefore, although the Durandal is smaller and lighter than other magical armours, these features serve to make it faster, more maneuverable, and all-around more efficient. In addition to this, the Durandal Armour is equipped with a cloth cloak that had been treated with an anti-magic coating. Functioning similar to the old physical shields that had received the same treatment, the cloak is used to protect the armour from magic. With its size it can completely cover the armour, with the exception of the head, providing full body protection. However, despite its advantages, one of which is conserving power, the cloak has two disadvantages. First, unlike a magic shield the cloak can only handle about five shots before the coating wears off, rendering the cloak to simple cloth. The second disadvantage is that the cloak offers no protection from physical weapons. However, due to the Durandal Armour's ability to dispense obstructing fog, which greatly reduces accuracy and the combat capabilities of many magicians, such disadvantages can be greatly mitigated.

Heavenly Body Magic

Heavenly Body Magic (天体魔法, Tentai Mahō) is a unique form of Caster Magic that enables the caster to utilize what's known as "starlight" and various properties of almost innumerable astronomic objects, such as stars and planets, as well as countless phenomena that only manifests in the depths of space, displaying almost overwhelming power as Heavenly Body Magic grants the ability to "unleash the might of the constellations in the skies" and effectively become a walking star.

Heavenly Body Magic is an incredibly powerful and rare form of magic; perhaps one of the rarest forms of non-Lost Magic around; only a select people have displayed the ability to utilize it, and even then, a mere fraction of those are capable of harnessing the full power of the magic. Said to be a gift from the stars, Heavenly Body Magic is unlike most other contemporary forms of the arcane as it possesses almost unlimited utility, especially in the hands of a crafty and intelligent user, whereas most other magics have one "ability"; for example, Fire Magic's only power is "manipulating fire" and Sword Magic's ability is to "do something with a sword" – however, Heavenly Body Magic far surpasses a one-use magic as detailed below. It is theorized that Heavenly Body Magic has something to do with Celestial Spirit Magic, a power that calls upon the embodiment of the constellations, due to the Magic Seals of both being rather similar, or the uncategorized Urano Metria which shares the same Magic Seal as Heavenly Body Magic and Celestial Spirit Magic; as the only people who have cast the spell are Celestial Spirit Magicians, so theoretically, Heavenly Body Magic could do cast the mighty Urano Metria as well, but this has not been confirmed as of yet.

As mentioned above, Heavenly Body Magic is a rarity partly because it is exceptionally difficult to use – most inexperienced magicians suffer quite a few accidents such as losing limbs and the like due to underestimating or overestimating how much energy that this power constantly produces, and as such, it requires an immense amount of control over the caster's own magical energies dwelling within their bodies. This proves to be an important factor as the mechanics of Heavenly Body Magic involve the caster surging the magical energy within their frame outwards briefly, putting ambient particles of eternano suspended within the atmosphere under their thrall while siphoning the essence of their magical power into the environment in order to have that's classified as the properties of their energy hewn from their soul interact with the masses of magical particles in the vicinity as well as their own magical energy, and from here, through mental commands alone, the caster focuses, installing within these energies their thoughts of what lies beyond the earth, space, and everything detailed within that region, enabling them to shift their own magical energies and other particles into the primary energy of Heavenly Body Magic, Sacred Energy. However, this cannot be achieved normally as the user must use a special body suit that allows their magic to properly siphon with the Eternano around them.

This unique form of energy that is predominantly golden in texture is known as Sacred Energy (恒星の魔力(セイクリッド・エナジー), Seikureddo Enajī lit. Stellar Magical Power) is one of a kind, and can be classified as a mixture of starlight, which, of course, is the light emitted by stars, and cosmic dust, dust particles which exist in outer space and are between a few molecules to 0.1 µm in size – specifically, this cosmic dust is stardust, which is interstellar solid matter in the form of tiny solid grains that originated at a time before the sun was formed – despite appearing almost identical, Sacred Energy is on a completely different level than the light produced by Light Magic. Being a mixture of a semi-solid and pure energy, the caster is capable of modifying the properties of this Sacred Energy in any way that they deem to be suitable, granting it material consistency and turning it into pure energy and back, allowing them to take the opponent by surprise continuously. Once the process of activating Heavenly Body Magic has been completed, the caster is capable of harnessing the true abilities of Sacred Energy by mentally focusing when casting spells, fixating upon various astronomical objects such as planets, meteors, and stars as to transform the form of energy generated by this magic into those concepts, allowing them to manifest miniature planets and stars alongside the regular pulsating golden light known as Sacred Energy, granting the caster almost infinite combat possibilities.

Heavenly Body Magic mainly revolves around the caster harnessing these stellar properties generated at will from their very existence for countless purposes, manipulating the energy of the stars known as Sacred Energy to be utilized in any way that they wish, whether for offensive, defensive, evasive, or supplementary techniques- as long as the user of Heavenly Body Magic can imagine it being doable, then the sky is the limit, more or less; they embody the astronomical objects that they are conjure, being able to enhance their physical capabilities to new heights, allowing them to empower their physical blows with hyper-destructive wakes of golden light as well as project it outwards and harness the light in various other methods, commonly being released as a sphere-like object or as beams that appear similar to that of starlight that have displayed high destructive power, bursting through any and all defenses in their way as if they were naught but butter. Each physical attack with Heavenly Body Magic has shown to be extremely accurate, and the Sacred Energy can be condensed, enabling the stellar energy to cut clean through various objects, serving to be rather concussive, able to firmly pulverize objects, such as stone and many other supernatural defenses in the caster's way – of course, with Heavenly Body Magic, the caster can also charge up their own attacks to add extra power, speed, and scope to their spells, resulting in a vastly more powerful strike.

This light is not the only substance used, however. The caster is also capable of using the power of gravity against the opponent for destructive usage; the strength can be comparable to the effects caused by a black hole – which a caster can also generate through this magic; as the user is able to freely increase or decrease the amount of gravity in the area around them with devastating effects. By applying this gravitational power to incoming enemy attacks, the user is capable of rendering them harmless by dragging them down to the ground. Gravity can be used to lift objects, even gigantic ones, and people alike, and to move them around in the air in a similar manner to that of Telekinesis; in addition, when concentrated around a single opponent, it can cause the latter great pain. This function is powerful enough for the user to shake a house and completely alter the surrounding area with a light touch of their hand, and a minimal amount of it, let out from the user's body, can prevent falling rain from even coming in contact with them. It also allows the user to alter the gravity of a person, either themselves or someone else. The user can lower the target's gravity, enabling them to walk on walls, or raise the target's gravity, rendering them incapable of moving, additionally utilizing it in order to enhance the caster's own speed and movement to enable them to dart around the battlefield with ease, allowing the user to attack with impunity.

  • Starlight Fist (星夜鉄拳 (スターライト・フィスト), Sutāraito Fisuto lit. Starry Night Iron Fist): Leanne's signature spell; when performing Starlight Fist; the user charges light within their fist, engulfing their fist in shining light, before throwing a fast punch into the opponent's torso, causing, aside from sheer blunt damage, damage from the light as well. It is one of the user's most powerful blows; mostly because of it's "multi-hit" feature which doubles the damage as the light spreads out onto the opponent, swirling around them in a powerful spiral, creating a grinding drill effect that blasts into the opponent, inflicting major damage and launching them far away, creating an impact which is powerful enough to propel the unlucky recipient several meters away. The incredible speed both makes the strike far more powerful, and harder to dodge. The amount of time in which these actions transpire make it seem as if the opponent has been punched with the force of a powerful cannon shell, blowing them away instantly. The upwards punch releases the image of a majestic tiger which rises in the sky that violently strikes the opponent while rising into the air, giving the visage of a tiger devouring its prey. However, Starlight Fist does have one weakness—while performing the move, the user's heart will be left open for a millisecond. There is a variation of this technique where the user thrusts forward with their palm instead of punch upwards; it is not completely vertical instead, it is horizontal, showing the visage of a tiger that rotates around its prey; it should be noted that this technique is much faster than the regular Starlight Fist, and has no weak spot, however, it is slightly weaker than the original. In addition, the user can harness Starlight Fist by turning their fist into light and launching it as a column of light at their target. This variation is so incredibly powerful that it is able to plow through several buildings in one shot.
  • Meteor (流星 (ミーティア), Mītia): Meteor is one of the most basic Heavenly Body Magic spells. When initiating Meteor, the user generates celestial energy outwards, allowing it to surround them in a cloak of light. Due to this, the user is granted an enormous boost in both speed and power, allowing them to move through the air at incredible speeds; moving at a velocity that most people cannot comprehend. The speed and after-images granted by Meteor allows the user to effectively dodge the multi-directional attacks of drones. Activating this attack causes a slip stream effect that allows the user to achieve speeds normally impossible to them in any location. By charging the particles with magical energy this allows the user an additional defensive measure as well as immense propulsion. The user's speed appears to create up to eight doubles of themselves while in motion. These doubles are not illusory; the user is moving at a speed between different positions that is faster than the speed of sound. As such, were all the doubles to attack at once, it would mean that the user is attacking from all those positions simultaneously, giving the user incredible destructive power. Similarly, because of this same speed, attacking the doubles would be futile as the user would have moved long before the attack even reaches them. Following Issac Newton's first law of motion, the user will accelerate indefinitely as long as they keep moving. Even if someone could detect their trajectory, it is nearly impossible to catch them as they assault their opponents with quick, but powerful, melee attacks.
  • Orion's Sword (小三星 (オリオンズ・ソード), Orionzu Sōdo lit. Little Three Stars): Orion's Sword is a Heavenly Body Magic spell where Leanne gathers magical energy within her palm, and, adding her element of light into the mixture, she forms a long, very sharp sword out of light and hardens it, embedding it with the potential to match with real swords; and even overpower them with relative ease. The design of the sword is that of an extremely large broadsword which is highly sharp and durable. The true advantage of Orion's Sword close-combat variant is that it can change into an intangible energy at a single thought, enabling Leanne to negate her foe's attempts at defense upon impact; and Leanne, immediately afterward, can follow up with another attack. The result of being struck by Orion's Sword is being simultaneously pierced by light and slashed simultaneously, giving this attack great power. Lastly, this technique is nearly unblockable as Orion's Sword can easily cut through steel. Its slashes are capable of trailing large amounts of light in its wake, which can damage the opponent. The moment that the blade makes contact with the foe via impaling them, the composition of Orion's Sword is altered to cause additional, smaller blades to protrude from the blade inside of the foe's body, drastically increasing the number of wounds dealt to the foe. Both variants of the technique can be utilized in swift succession; since most of the time, the opponent is forced to focus on blocking the first blast, rarely figuring out that the second blow is coming up immediately. Leanne can also launch multiple Orion Swords to make a lancing-type move; where she directs the sabers towards her target, aiming to impale them with incredible speed and force. However, mid-flight, the sabers veer off wildly in different directions, homing in on different targets in order to attempt to take out multiple opponents at once.
  • Grand Chariot (七星剣 (グラン・シャリオ), Guran Shario lit. Seven Star Sword): Grand Chariot is a powerful Heavenly Body Magic spell; when performing Grand Chariot, the user places both arms on top of each other, with the top hand having only the index and middle fingers spread out as the user charges magical energy which they had absorbed with their magical energy into their hand, before condensing it until its utmost limit. Raising their hand above their head, the fulcrum begins to charge with a golden light of blinding brilliance, causing most to avert their eyes upon seeing it. The heavenly energy swells around the fulcrum, before converging at a singular point—the tip of the user's finger; intensifying the kinetic energy that is about to be released by convergence and acceleration. Seven Magic Seals are then summoned in front of the user's finger and connect, creating a constellation of sorts as the user unleashes a massive horizontal volley of blasts of heavenly energy which erupts outwards and "purifies the very soul", releasing it as a flash of light; a surging wave of heavenly energy that was conceptualized for the simple purpose of absolute destruction, each Magic Seal then releases a powerful light blast down on the opponent, forming the same pattern on the ground before exploding. Grand Chariot is an attack forged for absolute efficiency; and the user's tremendous speed allows them to move faster than Grand Chariot itself, allowing the user to fire multiple blasts from different directions.
  • Altairis (暗黒の楽園 (アルテアリス), Arutearisu lit. Dark Paradise): Altairis is a powerful Heavenly Body Magic spell; when performing it, the user crosses their arms above their head to begin activating the attack, as all nearby shadows are drawn towards them, forming a small black orb which rapidly grows in size and also gains small white lights inside it, similar to the night sky. The orb creates a gravitational field around itself, gradually getting larger, as well as growing stronger and stronger. Such orb possesses immense attraction force, and is thus capable of attracting everything in a wide area towards itself, gradually getting larger, as well as growing stronger and stronger, drawing them in via overwhelming gravitational pull which never ceases, only becoming more and more powerful as moments pass, creating a swirling vortex that pulls in and "devours" any and all objects in the vicinity. The shadows utilized in this technique possesses immense attraction force, and is thus capable of attracting everything in a wide area towards itself, subsequently sucking it up, before the user takes aim at their true target, unleashing the orb towards them at high speeds, tracking the foe's magical energy signature before it impacts; grinding into the foe. The orb appears to be incredibly dense, holding a tremendous amount of gravity to crush the opponent in a similar manner to a black hole. Its power is said to be comparable to the power of an actual meteor; the force with which the attack explodes has enough power to easily hollow out an entire mountain.
  • Arrow of Light (光の矢, Hikari no Ya): When utilizing the Arrow of Light; the user snaps their fingers, generating an lightning arrow-head-shaped bolt of light which they swiftly launch at the opponent. When manifesting the arrow, any characters in their line of sight will flinch. When the blast lands, it blows the opponents away with tremendous speed and force; blasting through everything in it's path in order to assault the opponent ferociously as the arrow sends the opponents flying at a semi-spike angle, inducing tremendous knockback from which it is difficult to recover. The move goes through walls. The move can hit a maximum of 6 targets but the damage and knockback weaken for each target hit; thus if used on many opponents, it may not destroy the ones in the back, even if the foes are still suffering from harm. This attack goes through any and all defenses, and at extreme distances it does slightly less damage. If the opponents are too close together, they may collide with each other and prevent immense damaging from happening; using this spell, the user fought off numerous attackers, punched holes in a guild's headquarters, and been able to tear the leg off of a demon, all with minimal effort. The attack seems to possess highly destructive power, having caused great damage to the area it affected, destroying the ground and piercing through buildings alike, and appears to have a long range, wreaking havoc wherever it passes, as shown when it crossed the entire distance of Hargeon, generating a large explosion. The trajectory of the arrow can be altered, allowing the user to strike more than one opponent.
  • Great Rift (六角陣・天結界 (グレート・リフト), Gurēto Rifuto lit. Hexagonal Array of the Heavenly Bounded Field): Great Rift is a unique Heavenly Body Magic spell; Mere seconds before an opposing projectile attack lands, the user expels light and erects it in the form of geometric shapes that connect to form the overall shape of tessellating hexagons of golden energy focused around their hand. Spinning around at high speeds, these hexagons gather magical energy by drawing it from the user and the surroundings for a split second, before quickly counterattacking by reflecting said projectile at such a speed that it seems that the user has access to the opposing attack. This spell is capable of bending the opposing projectile away from their, as well as some physical attacks. Great Rift appears to be immovable by any outside force. The barriers are strong enough to defend against even a Sword Magic spell. The shield can also be used for offensive purposes, launching forward to create powerful forces to strike the targets, or to deflect forces sent by enemies right back at them. The user can also use the attack to shield others by swinging the energy towards their ally and then covering them in the coat of magical power and thus giving them greater protection from oncoming attacks. Activation of this technique makes it necessary for the user to provide double the magical energy to form the shield due to its unique construction, and if it is struck, they will feel pain and receive damage in accordance. This wall can also disperse the resultant force of an impact at the instant of receiving an attack with the starry energy as a concentrated explosion that is automatically returned along the attack's opposing trajectory. It is able to protect from enemies, magic, and some other hazards and after hitting one of aforementioned alternatives, the shield disappears and the user must wait to re-summon it. However the shield is not able to protect while falling from a great height. However, the technique is difficult to use as it can only manipulate so many magical particles at a time and it required precise timing. Thus, this grants the user immunity to most attacks.
True Heavenly Body Magic Spells

As one of the most powerful Heavenly Body Magic users to ever have lived, Leanne is able to draw on the magical power from the celestial bodies to the mortal plane of Earth Land. This single ability allows Leanne to access a unique set of spell that are known as True Heavenly Body Magic (真・天体魔法, Shin Tentai Mahō) as she is literally drawing from the energy from astronomical plane that was thought to be outside the reach of humanity. This specific form of Heavenly Body Magic allows Leanne to draw on physically manifest the astronomical object that she draws upon and utilize it to her command.

  • True Heavenly Body Magic: Sema (真・天体魔法・星崩し (セーマ), Shin Tentai Mahō: Sēma; Sema meaning The Star that causes Cities to Crumble): True Heavenly Body Magic: Sema is an extremely powerful Heavenly Body Magic spell; and one of the True Heavenly Body Spells (真・天体呪, Shin Tentaiju), sacred Heavenly Body Magic spells which are considered the ultimate spells of a practitioner of the magic, akin to Dragon Slayer's Secret Arts in purpose. When performing True Heavenly Body Magic: Sema, the user bows down and points their hands downwards, with all the fingers closed except the index and middle fingers. The user then begins to slowly move their right hand until it points upwards, causing the clouds above them to begin circling around, forming a cyclone as the skies darken. From the center of the swirling formation, a glowing orb begins to form, growing in size until a humongous meteor emerges, falling quickly to earth from the upper atmosphere down towards a specific location on the ground. As it descends along a linear trajectory, it moves at such a speed that evasion is near impossible; as even though it is extremely telegraphed, the meteor is so large that it is extremely difficult to dodge it. The user can also summon another meteor which will then collide with the first, ensuring that they crash into their intended destination. When the meteor hits, the force is strong enough to create a large explosion, which engulfs a wide area and releases a strong hurricane of air, also leaving a large crater in its wake; the impact forces millions upon millions of rubble debris to hit the ground, in a method similar to even more meteors; with the resulting tremors being felt as far as an entire town away.
  • True Heavenly Body Magic: Galaxia Blade (真・天体魔法・閃光墜刃牙 (ギャラクシア・ブレイド), Shin Tentai Mahō: Gyarakushia Bureido; Galaxia Blade meaning Flash Light Crash Blade Fang): True Heavenly Body Magic: Galaxia Blade is an extremely powerful Heavenly Body Magic spell; and one of the True Heavenly Body Spells (真・天体呪, Shin Tentaiju), sacred Heavenly Body Magic spells which are considered the ultimate spells of a practitioner of the magic, akin to Dragon Slayer's Secret Arts in purpose. Though it shares a similar name to that of the spell used by the Celestial Spirit King, it is noted to be completely different in function. When performing Galaxia Blade, the user raises both of their hands in the air at their sides; slowly, but surely generating and gathering light between their open, facing palms. This is rapidly shaped into the form of a massive blade composed of light of a radiance beyond any glow or shine of any other Light Magic to exist—that is what makes it so powerful. It is a blade of mortality made out of light that is manifested by converting all of the user's defensive power into a single, maximum-powered attack. The moment that the blade strikes the opponent, the artificial gravity well generates a "custom" shockwave, transforming all particles in contact with its striking surface into photons. By swinging the blade around, the user creates a highly destructive vortex of light, which moved to hit the enemy in a spiraling formation. Each connecting strike seems to generate a powerful, shining explosion, capable of busting through the scales of a dragon. The Galaxia Blade has more than enough sheer destructive power to erase opponents while leaving their souls intact; the user's powerful strike causes them to disappear into light; the sheer power of the strike releases golden light and energy capable of destroying anything it comes in contact with. Upon impact, the attack is capable of destroying massive amounts of architecture in one shot. The power of this technique creates a one hundred and fifty meter diameter of extremely high heated energy, and also an electromagnetic field effect- akin to a nuclear explosion.
  • True Heavenly Body Magic: Galaxian Punisher (真・天体魔法・聖爆球の輝き (ギャラクシアン・パニッシャー), Shin Tentai Mahō: Gyarakushian Panisshā lit. Holy Blasting Sphere of Radiance): The Galaxian Punisher is a powerful, and forbidden Heavenly Body Magic spell; created by a certain sage as they explored the ruins of Tenrou Island. In truth, the Stardust Punisher was reverse-engineered by finding the grave of the guild master upon the destroyed island, studying the ancient inscriptions upon the gravestone and dedicating many years to replicating the effect of the radiant glitter. However, it would be completely impossible to perfectly duplicate this member of the Great Magics of a guild, so the sage improvised; by reverse-engineering the part of the spell where a bright halo of light that surrounds the target to become a sphere of shimmering light that manifests upon the user's pointer finger, the sage was capable of forging the exceedingly complex and unfathomably intricate spell that collects and concentrates the light of the sun, the moon and the stars into a neat sphere-sized package. Essentially, when performing the spell, the user focuses their magical power upon one of their pointer fingers; before shaping it with their willpower in the shape of a sphere. Using more magical power, the user begins to spin the sphere in multiple directions at once at high speeds, before adding their element of light into the sphere, turning it golden as it starts constantly being compressed as it collects and concentrates the light of the sun, the moon and the stars into its structure, which produces such a radiance that it illuminates the area. Once this is done, the user launches the sphere towards the opponent at an overwhelming velocity, travelling in a straight line at such a speed that opponents, more often than not, would be unable to keep up with their eyesight; this speed is near breaking the sound barrier. The compacted nature and moving speed of the condensed light of Galaxian Punisher allows the attack to grind into whatever it comes in contact with to inflict major damage. This tends to launch the target backward after being hit or, if the target is knocked to the ground or being launched towards the ground, the destructive force is enough to form a crater. Upon impact, Galaxian Punisher activates its secondary function, that of becoming a merciless light that rejects the presence of any foes, causing it to explode, resulting in a very sizable blast radius. It apparently takes a lot of Magic Power to properly wield the Galaxian Punisher, as seemingly anyone aside from the sage is unable to use it properly, despite their considerable power. An additional problem, though not necessarily a debilitating one, is the fact that the large amount of light can also injure the user's hand if they put too much force into the spell; and overall, sometimes, the drawbacks outweigh the benefits.
Planetary Arts

The Planetary Arts (天体魔法・覇惑星現 (プラネタリ・アーツ), Puranetari Ātsu lit. Heavenly Body Magic: Supreme Planetary Embodiment) are the absolute strongest Heavenly Body Magic spells. They are far beyond any other iteration of Heavenly Body Magics, and perhaps some of the most powerful "elemental" spells to exist. The Planetary Arts were developed by Amadam some time before the series, as with most magics. In Daybreak S2, as a 'thank you' for helping him with the Nega End project, Amadam gave Leanne the spells, effectively making her one of the most powerful magicians in the Sun Trilogy overall. The Planetary Arts will last as long as there is ambient eternano saturated within the atmosphere, as the spells of the Planetary Arts constantly draw ambient eternano from the atmosphere in order to power their usage, making each spell more and more powerful for every second that passes. The Planetary Arts consist of eight spells, each one representing a planet, plus the sun for the strongest spell of all. The spells are named accordingly, with all of them possessing some sort of reference to their respective planet (or star in the sun's case) within their names and effects. However, the Planetary Arts do have a certain drawback; whenever the user harnesses their power, the spells sap small amount of life from the wielder. However, Leanne has only demonstrated four of the nine spells within the Daybreak era.

  • Saturn Sorcery (剃刀輪炯撃 (サターン・ソーサリー), Satān Sōsarī lit. Razor Ring Shining Strike): Saturn Sorcery is one of the Planetary Arts spells, though it is noted to be the weakest of the lot, Saturn Sorcery is at least as powerful as Altairis. When performing Saturn Sorcery, Leanne manifests her magical energy outwards, shaping the starry energy that Heavenly Body Magic is composed of into golden copies of Saturn's planetary rings. These rings shoot towards the opponent at high speeds, so much so that they are often regarded as being invisible to the naked eye. The sharpness of Saturn Sorcery allows it to slash right through massive cliffs as though they were butter, and even magical defenses or even a satellite are shown to be essentially paper thin in terms of defense against it. When the rings of Saturn Sorcery are manifested and shot towards the opponent, each one generates a powerful wind that peaks at 120m/s, with a pressure of 900HPA; essentially possessing enough power to rip an enormous hole in the foe through mere touch. When they strike at the opponent, the starry energy grinds into the opponent with extreme force, and the starry energies decompressing into the user's opponent at high speeds, grinding against them and shredding them through sheer force. What should be noted is that Saturn Sorcery possesses homing properties; tracking the foe's heat signature in order to sniff them out and deal damage; curving until it reaches its destination; once fired, Leanne can move around as normal without any drawback. The rings of Saturn Sorcery are touted to chase their foes to the ends of the earth, no matter where the foe is standing, even if they possessed high speed, as they would catch their foe eventually. The rings can move at impossible angles, that always manages to reach its target; they will always change their path around any obstacles or pierce through any wall in order to reach their target.
  • Blazing Mars (全創造犠牲 (ブレイジング・マーズ), Bureijingu Māzu lit. All Creation Immolated): Blazing Mars is the second Planetary Arts spell that Leanne has access to; it is considered to be the manifestation of the blazing surface of Mars. Blazing Mars enables Leanne to manifest, manipulate, and have absolute control over sickly green flames which flow like melted wax which she can generate from any part of her body. The heat of Blazing Mars is comparable to that of solar flares; at an average rate of expenditure of energy, Leanne is capable of utilizing the Blazing Mars for about an hour straight; and these flames are highly powerful, overwhelming normal and special flames of the same quantity or even more with general ease; they are even hotter than any temperature that the earth can produce; though curiously enough, these flares do not destroy everything on earth just by a single spark. Upon contact with normal beings, the flames suddenly become alive, so to speak, and latch onto them, sucking up their energy which allows the fire to intensify; and Leanne can shape the flames into numerous structures in order to attack. The flames disintegrate everything and anything which Leanne launches them at, changing it into nothing more than ash, and engulfs the surrounding landscape in a blazing firestorm, the heat of which is intense enough to scorch the sky. The flames act completely separately to regular flames, and pursue an enemy relentlessly with great speed, accuracy and strength. As the Blazing Mars flames move, the vibrations of the energy they are composed of are accelerated, resulting in enormous explosions of great destruction; devastating the area around her and leaving her opponent on their toes. These flames are unable to be extinguished nor are they able to be taken control of by a secondary-source as they absorb opposing sources of fire-based powers; they move and burn according to the will of Leanne herself.
  • TerraFirma2

Leanne, harnessing the power of Supremacy Terra Firma.

Supremacy Terra Firma (土現凱装 (スプレマシー・テラ・ファーマ), Supuremashī Tera Fāma lit. Earthen Personification Supreme Armour): Supremacy Terra Firma is one of the Planetary Arts; and the only one to serve as a supplementary spell. Essentially, it allows Leanne to take upon the properties of the Earth. Not earth the element, like Blazing Mars allows her to manifest, but the earth itself. When initiating Supremacy Terra Firma, Leanne unleashes a black sphere of gravity from her hands, which draws in everything from the surroundings, condensing it upon her figure in order to form an earthen armour around her body. The black sphere of gravity then decompresses, coating the earthen armour in order to grant it the properties of gravity. In any case, Supremacy Terra Firma drastically enhances all of Leanne's parameters, causing the earth around her to surround her body in a continually rippling manner, whirling around her body all the while. This essentially creates an extremely sturdy defensive armour around her body that allows Leanne to not only increase her defensive power, but also her physical power as aspects of the earth are constantly surrounding her body and flowing in and out as well as spinning around her. When utilizing Supremacy Terra Firma, Leanne's body emits a black aura; which enhances all of her spells, greatly increasing their area-of-effect, as well as improving their damage, health drain and speed; however, when tapping into the power of the spell, her stamina is constantly being depleted, it does not consume her lifespan, but consume stamina and magical power at a very fast rate, to the extent where just using it in a short fight causes her to run out of gas. This spell has a notable amount of startup invincibility, so if her opponent is attacking her while she is activating the skill, Leanne will be capable of counterattacking immediately as to turn the tides instantly. As a result of this spell, Leanne's base power level, strength, speed, and senses greatly increase; tripling her already impressive power, allowing for a massive boost all across the board. Additionally, she demonstrates the ability to heighten the effect of this spell to increasingly higher multiplications. When in this form, Leanne's arms and legs deal twice the damage they would normally output; she can also unleash waves of gravel up to and including slabs of earth that cause a large amount of damage from her hands and feet on a whim at a rapid pace, allowing her to constantly bombard her foe with a seemingly never-ending shower of earth. The earth is malleable, bending to Leanne's mind and can take whatever form she wills them to, even "grab" a target, though naturally, this damages them greatly.
  • The Almighty Sun (覇惑星現・奥義・破天攻 (ザ・オールマイティー・サン), Za Ōrumaitī San lit. Supreme Planetary Embodiment Secret Art: Divine Smite Assault): The Almighty Sun is Leanne's most powerful spell; it is more often than not reserved for her finishing technique. Once The Almighty Sun spell is activated, a glyph of solar energy appears on the ground, from which six red and blue spherical objects rise, hurting anyone who happens to be touching them. Leanne raises her arms, gathering magical energy within her and forging a link between the realm of the dead and the current plane of existence. From there, she summons the souls of those that died to create the Planetary Arts, and they lend her their power—with this convergence of power, Leanne bends her right arm backwards, the fist clenched, and extending frontwards a mildly bent left arm, tiny streaks of solar energy gathering before the outstretched fingers from the surrounding area; charging the attack. From there, they settle around Leanne, who then rises up, taking the spheres with her. The spheres turn vertically and connect with each other to form a circle, before Leanne fires a series of energy blasts from the orbs. Following this, a larger glyph appears in the center of the circle, from which a large, multi-hitting energy laser fires, accompanied by smaller lasers from the six spheres. All of a sudden, the energy of the deceased souls and Leanne's own magical aura is instantly released; resulting in a positively gigantic, horizontal column of solar energy shooting forth from the spheres and five kilometers behind them, creating impressively enormous explosion upon contact which is capable of traveling great distances, wreaking havoc wherever it passes, absolutely destroying the target and anything within range of the spell. After this finishes, The Almighty Sun ends and Leanne drops back down to the ground, completely unharmed, but drained of her magical power.

Trivia

  • Kaguya notes that Leanne is basically what she could have been, if Tsuruko didn't enter her life.
  • Something to note is that her title of the World's Strongest Magician is a bit of an oversight, partly due to Alexis' rather shitty sense of power- as most of the 'big players' in terms of power in the Sun Trilogy are unregistered, such as Excellen Kilekion, Amadam, Giselle Mercury, and Jonas. Indeed, Excellen essentially dismissed Leanne and focused her strategy on infiltration of the council during the Farewell, Knights arc- however, this could have been due to the fact that Deen Lhant informed Excellen that Kirika was going to help the group.
  • Leanne is a foil for Kirika; whereas Leanne acts as a hero and is a high position in the world, she hides a very nasty side from the public and hates people who she considers different, Kirika has an extremely bad reputation as a wanted criminal; she was always at the bottom of society, and while she acts like a supervillain, she has a heart of gold buried deep down, while refusing to crush the weak, even though she doesn't think much of those weaker than her. This even extends to their appearances; Leanne looks fairly trustworthy on the surface, with her white outfit and her golden hair and blue eyes, where Kirika predominantly wears blacks, has deathly pale skin, white hair, and purple eyes.
  • Interestingly, Leanne is the only antagonist in the entirety of Daybreak that Tsuruko doesn't ever fight; while she punches Leanne in the face early on in her introductory arc, the two never have a full battle; instead, Leanne is Kirika's personal foe, and she fights her all three times she is a threat in the story.
  • The whole reason that the Magician/Soul Armour Knight conflict starts is because Tsuruko mistakes the title of "Wizard Saint" for the Grand Wizard of the Klu Klux Klan and attacks Leanne.
