Leonidas Astreus (レオニダス アストラエウス Reonidasu Asutoraeusu?) is the son of Lucifer and Elizabeth Astraeus. He is the current ruler of the Kingdom of Asgard and Artemyria. He is also an S class mage of Fairytail. Leo is the alternate identity of Sephiroth, a God with a unique power that consists of the divine forms of darkness and light as well as one neither dark nor light much like August.
Appearance[]
Leo is a tall, lean individual. He has amber-colored eyes, naturally blond hair that changes when he uses his draws out his divine ethernano changing the hair to a lighter blond and revealing hidden markings. Leo's typical wear changes throughout the years. During the Ishgar-Alvarez War Leo wears a white and yellow longsleeved shirt with a white cape held together by a golden pin (similar to Lyon). He sports black pants and boots with gold surrounding the top of the boots. He also wears a silver necklace shaped like a crucifix cross and a black cloth wrapped around his waist.
Birth of Leonidas[]
When Sephiroth was born in the heavens, a war between pantheons was brewing. After inhabiting Artemyria for 7 years, they decided to send him to Earthland along with his younger siblings. They contacted humans and told them to make an artificial vessel with the sample of the Spark of Divinity so that he may inhabit the vessel. The Ritual of Jashin had commenced and his soul was transferred to the human vessel in Earthland. Despite this, Leo's soul is actually that of a god.
Joining Fairy Tail[]
After the ritual, Leo's elder brother, Amon Astraeus decided that as he took over Asgard and Artemyria he would further his connection through Earthland. Since there were many opposing pantheons trying to take the power of Leo's spark of divinity, he evacuated to a faraway land which ended up being Ishgar. After arriving on Ishgar, Leo and his siblings decided to find a guild. The first guild they joined was the Crimson Lion Guild. Shortly after the guild disbanded leaving them to search for another guild. They eventually stumbled across Fairy Tail.
