Liber Mendacii (ブック こうたん bukku koutan) is a former slave originally from another continent miles from Ishgar later captured by slave traders during his travel through the country Bosco, only to escape years later after teaming up with other slaves who attempted to escape several times before. Seeking vengeance for the trauma and abuse that his slave owners had dealt on him, Liber had trained and perfected several magic types in case he may fall into a situation where he would be confronted by hus former slave owners, yearning for the day that he may see their heads roll on the ground with their blood staining his clothes. Smithing his iconic Knived Chain weapon, Liber reenacts the chains as the chains that he had locked on during his time of slavery and uses these knived chains to cut through large groups of enemies in singles swings, reaching as far as twenty five metres around him. Hell beant on revenge there is nothing that can stip Liber from exacting his revenge as he searches for the men that had kidnapped and slaved him for all those years of imprisonment and abuse.

An extremely agile figure, Liber uses his slim body as an advantage to his incredible speed allowing Liber to slash and stab very quickly, giving him the chances to land several and more hits on his opponents if they are unable to defend themselves from Liber's hurricane like flurry of knives and chains. Not only his body that is immensely quick but his mind as well, as he can quickly think up plans to handle difficult situations, calculating chance of success and the effects of several variables that surround the area, all in just split seconds. Both speeds combined can become Liber's most deadliest and lethal combination of aspects and is always proves to be his battle winner as majority of his battles have deemed him victorious due to his immense speed and power within his attacks. Able to plan out schemes thoroughly down to the last smallest detail, Liber perfectly follows each step of the plan accordinly perfectly as he follows every single step to the smallest detail to ensure getting the calculated result that Liber had came up with. He can always recalculate and redevelop a plan if need be must this plan somehow come out wrong during it's execution and with the speed he processes Liber can easily devise a brand new schedule for the members of his plan to follow. It is with his speed that he has earned the alias Black Snake (ブラック スネーク burakku suneeku) as a description of how swift and deadly Liber's strikes are towards hostile forces, and that he isn't afraid to take down opponents much larger than him.

The names The Rogue (ザ こあくま za koakuma) and Forbidden Seed (あかずの シード akazuno shiido) are alias' given to him by his homeland's people, who recognise and condemn Liber Mendacii's former reputation and status back at his home, where he was a former soldier working under the authority of the continent's major church organisation. This experience of battle and military life has kept Liber diligent and organised as well as earning a sense of honour when battling, which were all things that he had learned from his training as a soldier. Liber actually had infact betrayed and abandoned the squadron of soldiers he was appointed to with after realising that one of their routes on the campaign was a trap and that they wouldn't have made it in time if Liber was to start warning everyone about it, instead saving his own life as he ran and watched his allies get mowed down by the ambush of their enemies as blood stained the route's enviornment. It was here that Liber decided to flee to Ishgar in hopes that he may avoid the distrust and anger of the crowd related to many of his former now dead comrades, seeking revenge and questions to why Liber didn't join them.

Appearance[]

He is quite the average height for such a powerful wizard and has black messy hair that drapes down his face, covering his sides as one clump of strands hand down infront of his face. His brown eyes are e only sign of life that exists underneath the heap of clothing that sits ontop of his head, sheltering his shy face from the world as he continues to judge the people around him. Liber tries his best to cover his teeth in his mouth but when exposing his true jaw it displays rows of sharp pointed teeth that looks like it belongs to a dragon, only smaller. Liber wears a large, long scarf that runs around his neck and head acting as a hood of sorts, covering his facial identity from the crowds around him. Underneath the scarf sat ontop of shoulders lie black and white designed shoulder pads, where black tattered long sleeves hang down to conceal his spf ypung hands taht wield two of the threatening knife chains that can reach to distances further from Liber. His torso is exposed and so displays his slim abdomen that clearly shows rib bones sticking out from the side of his torsso. He wears a turqoiuse blue green coloured dress that has gold markings of kanji written down the sodes of the clothing, suited and fixated to his waist by brown leather belts that cross the front. Finally for his footwear, Liber dons sandals that have a net sleeve that reach up the calfs of Liber's legs.

Personality[]

He is very friendly to the other members of his guild Libertus and holds a deep care and benevolence towards the other members of his "second family". Working well with his other guild members Liber shows that as a team they can overcome nearly all obstacles that head their way, and is capable of working as both a leader and follower to the Libertus guild family, displaying his capablity of leadership and loyalty to the guild. The guild is also a safe-zone for him as he tries to hide away from his past life of betrayl and abandoning of comrades, swearing to not repeat the same with Libertus and treat them all just as he did with his former comrades. But with all friends in and out of the guild Liber is extremely trustful and commited to them, willing to fight for their wellbeing and to protect them with even his own life in order to keep them safe. Though many other guild mates don't see it due to his strict and soldier like attitude on the outside Liber fiews all of his guild members as a family no matter how bad of a reputation they have to Liber, even seeing and treating others that have left the guild just as how he treats those currently within the guild.

Even though he admires and cares for his guild mates, everyone even them are vulnerable to the same passion that Liber puts into his attacks, bloodthirsty and vicious with a side of sadistic if they are lucky enough, Liber attacks like an animal and aims to take down his opponents in the shortest amount of time possible. This behaviour is immensley enhanced when he confronts those that have caused harm him and other friends severley, usually blacking out into a berserk rage of a flurry of unstoppable attacks with his knived chains, only stopping and regaining conciousness when he has successfully been pulled out from his mindless state or realising if the death of his targets, which greatly depresses him. During combat Liber utelises all aspects of his magic and is extremely smart when using them, knowing full well what it is capable of and when the right time to use them exists, as well as using them to their full potential and hidden techniques that he can use to overcome all situations. He devotes himself to practising and enhancing all the magic spells at his disposal and continuoes to constantly train under various masters of the spells if he is able to, enjoying the supervision and company of those that are well trained in the magic form.

Liber is very mature thanks to his soldier military life and training, which causes himself to scold those that unfortunatly act very immature infront of him. He likes training programs and drills, as well as organisation and battle tactics which he obssessed over, reminiscing about the times of his war life to his accompanies, recounting big battles that he had been part of and feats that he has accomplished. Though mature Liber shows to have aswell as a laid back side to his personality, where he takes nearly all situations as a joke and can nearly take any situation as not as serious as it needs to be, displaying the care he has for serious predicaments that he finds himself in, though does Infact acknowledge the status of it inside. Desensitized to the real world Liber finds no disgust or reaction to horrid scenes, where a normal human would be, as he has been vulnerable to such scenes as death and gruesome torture before in his war life.

His curiosity and admiration for dark guilds have made his questionable to many people, as he countlessly attempts to interact with many of the dark guild members though still identified as a legal mage of Libertus. His actions have not gone unheard of as many of the city guards around Ishgar are ordered to monitor the mysterious willed mage, inorder to keep Liber from going rogue and siding with a powerful dark faction, joining their ideals and theoligies and combined with Liber's strength, could be a great danger to the wellbeing of the population of Ishgar. Liber however doesn't intend to join a dark guild for power, but instead questions to their opposition against the Magic Council, and aims to study aspects of alot of dark guilds, hoping to learn how they operate and plan in order to devise several blueprints of plans incase a dark guild was to ever attack. This behaviour has numerously been misjudged by others except for the guild Libertus, who Liber frequently informs about his motives and states that it is for the greater good of the status of the powerful guild.

History[]

Born in a far off land away from Ishgar, Liber was born to a poor family who struggled to survive in the bustling streets of the city, surviving off kind donations and wasted food that would sometimes pass by, much to the happiness of the struggling family. This lifestyle of poverty had lasted for Liber about nearly his whole childhood as he learned to scour the streets and move around quickly, acting more of a pickpocket to gain a little more cash to support his dying family, who at that current time were suffering from differernt situations: His father far in debt to a notorious gang leader, his mother dying from an unknown illness and his brother and sister all went to join the war that was going on, leaving Liber to fend for his parents. Liber would follow soon after his brother and sister after both parents soon succumbing to their deaths leaving Liber with nothing to do but join the remainder of his family. Enrolling as a soldier for the current war, Liber was notified that he would not be joining his brother and sister on the battlefield, yet serve somewhere else where they are looking for more troops to support their side.

Devastated by the separation between Liber and his siblings, the young man vowed to wait for the day that he may join up with the remainder of his family and strive together as they should, looking out for each other. Training furiously under the guidance and supervision of some of the most strict and powerful generals of the army, learning new skills and strengths as he spends most of his training in the army grounds. Progressively becoming stronger and faster as he fought alongside his fellow soldiers and squadrons, Liber was placed on the army's top battalion as recognition for his power and capability with weapons and magic. Now learning under new masters and such Liber had been able to learn and preform many of his magics that he had acquired from this period of time, Nullification and Rune magic which were extremely useful to him during his soldier days. Climbing the ranks of the battalion and the army Liber had reached the high rank status of Sergeant just under the honorary title of General due to his experience and combat in the major battle events from before his promotions.

It was during his days of the rank of Sergeant that Liber had faced one of the most life changing decisions ever that he had to face no matter the circumstances. On a campaign during a tedious trek through the cavern lands of his country in an attempt to invade the opposing force with such power, nearly every soldier in the battalion was present and ready to fight and protect their military's name and power. Liber was one of the leading units of the huge army and such was one of the men in-charge of leading them to battle, something Liber was eager to do. Travelling with the group for several months over the period of time they knew that the group was nearing their location, though many of them refused to be prepared for attacking due to the distance between their current location and the location of their enemy target, which was a reasonable amount of miles away to turn down such advice. Liber was one of the many members to actually prepare himself as he started to warm up his magic use for nearly everyday in case the process of attack must occur and so trained hard on his magic use, perfecting certain techniques and creating new sub-variants of the spell to utilise during combat.

One of those days of training Liber fell momentarily into a vision of disturbing imagery, where he watched as the battalion of powerful mages viciously get slaughtered and fight till they were swiftly cut down by the enemy force, who seemed as they had ambushed the large battalion from the rocks around them. Seeing this as just a nightmare due to the stress and anxiousness that Liber was facing at the time due to nearing the location Liber paid no attention to the disturbing nightmare and carried on with his campaign, motivating the several soldiers to prepare with many refusing and ignoring his valuable knowledge and advice. Becoming deeply paranoid as he started to think about it as he neared the location, Liber started to take the dream seriously and decided wether to inform the other troops of his crazed dream and fantasy or leave them be as they would misjudge Liber or even appoint him to a mental institution if he were to take it too far. Realising the amount of troops situated in the battalion and how long it would take for the message of falling back was to take, Liber made a final decision to ditch the impending doom for the battalion as he quickly sneaked and ran away from the group at night when no-one was there to catch him.

Now left with out one of it's most power-fullest leaders in the battalion the soldiers and remaining officers decided to brand Liber as a coward and outcast for abandoning his fellow soldiers and friends within the army, illegalising any contact and communication with the traitor. Liber had made the right choice for his life however as the next day they battalion proceeded onto the enemy's land, the large battalion was cut down and greviously killed just as was shown within Liber's mysterious nightmare, which is something that he has been scared with his whole life. Receivng bad names for his abandonment of his battalion and role in the army Liber chose to ship himself off to Ishgar in search for a new life as opposed to his old one where he is no longer accepted and welcomed to as a result for his betrayl. Taking a pirate ship that he had snuck onto under the identification as a stowaway that the pirates were missioned in transporting, Liber began his new life in Ishgar with many of it's occupants oblivious to who and what Liber was then during that time.

Magic Abilities[]

Chain Magic (連鎖魔法, Rensa Mahō) is a Caster Magic involving the use of chains. This Magic allows the user to shoot long chains from their hands, complete with grappling hooks at the ends. They can be used in combat by launching the grappling hooks through enemies. After they have been caught, enemies can also be slammed into objects (such as trees, the ground, boulders, etc.). However, these chains are breakable and can be broken by a sword if using enough strength to swing. Along with his knived chain, his chain magic and weapon prove to be the deadliest of combinations as the powerful energy within the chain magic and the deadly blades of the joined knoves can swiftly cut through and severely harm opponents.

  • Vast Chains (てつぶん くさり tetsubun kusari) in this spell Liber is able to convert the ethernano inside of him to form nearly impenetrable chains that cannot be broken even when the most powerful of lost magic is used, making this spell stronger than the standard chains used by chain magic users. These chains however do have a certain weakness to them, as the magic particles used to create these near invincible chains can be somehow overpowered when excess ethernano escapes into the air, causing this ethernano to attract towards the invincible chains and build causing the chain links to break and setting free the target. As the magic building around the chain links build up, the links start swelling up and so they are not able to fit togethe as they have become too large to connect with eachother, breaking apart quiete easily as they automatically break off from eachother. This spell is casted just as how Liber casts normal chain magic, by throwing his hands foward sending the chain magic particles that have formed into the iconic chain links towards a particular target which would then have the chain wrap around the figure tightly enough to not allow the target to move but allow them to continue breathing, though with just the pull of a single chain Liber can tighten the chain prison as much as he wants.
  • Elemental Chains (ようそべつしょり くさり yousobetsushori kusari) this spell is very peculiar as it its greatly different from it's normal chain magic spell with many different aspects used to cast the spell. Instead of gathring ethernano into the palms of his hands Liber exerts ethernano into the ground that still retain a connection to a mass of ethernano that have been stored within his hands, still allowing the casting of Chain magic and creating the trigger of this strange spell. Now that the ethernano that has been implanted into the ground Liber uses the environment around to form alongside the grounded magic energy as he slowly forms chains conbined with the material of it's ground essentially making chains that are made out of the ground material of where the ethernano was exerted into. Depending on how much magic he has used to cast this spell, the length of the chains can reach up to twelve feet from the ground and can easily catch onto avian gigures by quickly and tightly latching onto the being.
  • Grappling Hook (かくとう フック kakotou fukku) A very common use for this magic, Liber is able to convert once again the ethernano within him to form chains but this time with a grapple at the end to allow easir grip of surfaces so that he can climb with them. As he shoots out the chains which can reach unbelievable distances of hundred metres and beyond from his hands the chain begins to latch onto the surface tightly allowing Liber to climb up the chain links and reach his destination which could've only been reached by the ladder of chain. There are two ways that Liber favours when using the grappling hook spell, one with just climbing up the chains to his destination, though can prove to be a little tough due to the lack of strength that Liber has built up but doesn't use as much magic energy as his second option, where Liber still connected to the chains from his hands uses the ethernano magic energy within his body to to oull the formed etehrnano chain from the outside and back into the body, causing a large amount of magic to be used due to the easiness of the technique's effect, which as the magic energy pulls the magic back in it pulls Liber up the chains where he speedily rushes to the top where the chains attached. When using this on targets, Liber shoots a grappling hook on his opponents and can use either pull technique to bring the opponent closer to Liber where still tied by the grappling hook are u vulnerable to Liber's attacks.
  • Flurry (突風 Toppū) By casting the normal chains around him, Liber sprouts up to five to ten chains that hang down from his hands as he prepares his move, clenching everyone into a clutch as he begins quickly moving his body around to form a tornado around him, made out of magical chains that can deflect any incoming weapons right back out of the tornado. Liber uses this opportunity to enclose himself within the hard to get into barrier that seems to not allow anything in due to the amount amd lethality of the chains that Liber had summoned with his hands for this spell. After using up his tornado Liber can reuse these chains to lift up the tornado which tirns into a large ball of continuosly spinning wind, before slamming it right at the opponent as it hits with such a force that it sucks the target right into the ball and drills them into the ground, killing them if they are not able to withstand such power, which I'm sure that the members of Libertus is able to do. Flurry is a highly dangerous move yet useful one as it prevents Liber from getting trapped by other's bindings, allowing him to deflect off the binding and remain free from chains and shackles, something that had traumatised his spirit and soul during his early years in Ishgar.
  • Weak Targeted (ちからよわい ターゲット chikarayowai taagetto) by concentrating important information into the chains which then target the weak points of a human being using the information of the human anatomy, using this information to seek out these weak points. Using Liber's mind to command their actions and disable the target, the chains used by Liber exerting magical chains into the area though his hands with both ethernano chan magic energy and mental energy containing important pieces of information that help the chains target their opponent, the chains through a temporary sentient mind will shoot out of Liber's hands towards his chosen opponent for the spell. The chains then proceed to fly through the air as they target their opponent, scouting the bing as they go through their collection of informstion for three certain aspects of the strike: Location, pressure and effect. Whist some areas trigger different spells and such, there are some that could paralyse or disable body parts to render them unmovable, which are the targets that the chains primarily go for.
  • Electrical Shock (エレクトリック ショック erekutorikku shokku) is sort of a lightning based attack mixed with chains, though Liber is able to accomplish this move due to a strange lacrima implanted into him that allows him to use lightning on this speical move. By somehow interacting the magical energy within him he can form metallic chains that that form right inside him yet show no presence on the outside of his skin, until using a strong force of magic to viollently exert the chains from within him to aim a specific target, quickly and tightly latching onto the thing before commencing it's next pagse of the attack. Building up electrical magical energy within himself Liber can for as long as he wnats until transferring that powerful energy into his metallic chains which conduct through the metal chanis towards the latched item. This spell has made Liber invulnerable to the damage of lightning spells as he electrocuted his opponents until for as much time as he wants as they suffer the painful experience of electrocution. Electric shock can also be used to power instruments that require electircity to work giving this spell an alternative to it's violent use.

Nullification Magic (無効の魔法, Mukō no Mahō): Nullification Magic is an extremely powerful Caster Magic that nullifies all attacks that are Magical in nature. Nullification Magic is utilized for nullifying any Magical attacks and discharges it within an area away from the Mage. The way that this is done is by the user gathering and condensing eternano upon their hands—not an overwhelming amount, but not a miniscule amount either; essentially, it is just the right amount; at least to oppose the foe's offending spell—it calls upon the theory of Mao-Dun in order to function. The Mao-Dun theory concerns a blacksmith who makes both shields and spears. He first pitches a customer the spears, claiming that they are so sharp, no shield can block them. He then pitches the shields, saying they are so hard, no spear can pierce them. The customer then asks what would happen if he threw one of the blacksmith's spears at one of his shields...and received no answer. This is the source of the Chinese word for paradox (矛盾, máodùn lit. spear-shield). The eternano collection in the user's hand is concentrated to a single point, allowing the magical particles to gain an edge, barreling through the opposing collection of eternano that composes the offending spell, causing everything else to be shoved aside into fragments of eternano, essentially breaking it into pieces, nullifying the enemy's attack and dispersing its power at the point of contact.

  • Divine Arrow (神の矢, Kami no Ya): Divine Arrow is shown to be a Nullification Magic spell, and one of the most basic spells in the Nullification Magic user's arsenal; in fact, it is automatically learnt upon learning the magic itself. However, despite this, it doesn't make the Divine Arrow any less deadly. When performing the spell, the user gathers and condenses their magical power, before compressing it in a single hand and utilizing shape transformation on the collection of eternano as to stretch it out, condensing and s!l haping it properly into the form of an arrow that is composed of pure energy that has two spikes near the tip; because of its formation, it seems to be coloured purple. When manifesting the arrow, any characters in the user's line of sight will flinch. When the blast lands, it blows the opponents away with tremendous speed and force; blasting through everything in it's path in order to assault the opponent ferociously as the arrow sends the opponents flying at a semi-spike angle, inducing tremendous knockback from which it is difficult to recover. The move goes through walls. The move can hit a maximum of six targets but the damage and knockback weaken for each target hit; thus if used on many opponents, it may not destroy the ones in the back, even if the foes are still suffering from harm. Thanks to being a Nullification Magic spell, the attack goes through any and all defenses, and at extreme distances it does slightly less damage. If the opponents are too close together, they may collide with each other and prevent immense damaging from happening; and the trajectory of the arrow can be altered, allowing the user to strike more than one opponent.
  • Serpent Dragon (だいじゃ りゅう daija ryuu) through a vast amount of concentrated ethernano combined with maker magic particles Liber combines these two substances to create a whole new spell, creating a long, glowing, ghost-like serpent dragon that has the ability to move through solid objects and the ground as it follow's it's caster's orders. Exerting a substantial amount of ethernano into the atmosphere, Liber quickly takes advantage of the seperated particles by using building ethernano to help form the now free magic energy into a certain shape, creating this dragon that hurts all living life forms that comes into contact with, greatly harming their body as the dragon can throw back even the biggest of opponents. The dragon's design and appearance can change depending on the emotion that Liber currently experiences at that moment, with more terrifying looking dragons appearing more frequently the more that Liber is under a more aggresive emotion. Controlled by the wave of Liber's hand, the young mage can easily throw his hand to the direction of his enemies, ordering his dragon to violently swoop down and straight towards the targets, completly obliterating the force and clearing a path for Liber to use. This powerful magic is extremely dangerous as the dragon casted hurt allies of Liber, no matter the true relationship seen between him and them, and it is very important that Liber is indepedent when casting this spell. It should also be noted that this spell is only dangerous to those that have the power and capabilty of magic, as the magic made to form the dragon can quite essily harm ethernano supplies within the mages, but this dragpn is unable to break down barriers or solid structures due to it's etheral form, resteicting this spell to means of combat only.
  • Nulled Force (ヌル じつりょく nuru jitsuryoku) presurising mass amounts of ethernano inside his body Liber powers and builds up the magic power within him to create one of the most dangerous nullification spells at the disposal of Liber's magical arsenal of spells. With the vast amount of magical energy within him Liber begins to cast this spell by placing both index fingers poking to the sides of his cranium, concentrating on the targets around him as he identifies the targets that the spell can hit and therefore program many of these ethernano particles to damage those that he sees would be justified by his attack. This spell requires a large period of time to conduct because of the concentration for it to be casted, with time taking to identify targets and reprogram many of the magic particles used to utelise his spell, with the more people Liber wants hit the more time the spell requires to have. When ready to execute the final phase pf his spell with a swwift movement of his arms and wrists Liber quickly pulls both fingers from his head, which proceeeds to send a powerful force of concentrated and pressurised ethernano in the direction of his enemies, resembling a glowing and bright arch of light thar flies away from Liber, reaching a width of nearly twenty five metres meaning that targets within the middle of the arch have no chance of escape and so must suffer the consequences of colliding with Nulled Force. The particles when hitting it's targets instantly enters the body's ethernano supply and hits the supply straight on, disabling all weak ethernano within and violently pushing these targets backwards as they exit the body from the other side. The spell alos deflects any incoming missiles which the ethernano in the spell automatically identifies as a threat and weakens the magic missile to the point where it disintegrates due to the exerted force of magic and the Nulled Force's ability of disabling magical particles.

Darkness Magic (闇の魔法 Yami no Mahō) is a Caster Type Magic which utilizes the element of darkness. Darkness Magic is a Caster Magic which draws on the negative emotions of the user and manifest it in a physical form, the element of Darkness. While Darkness Magic is not inheritably evil in a sense, it does give off a feeling of despair to opponents that fight against a user of this magic due this magic releasing the malefic nature of the opponent out into the world. It is said that this magic was the one of the first attempt at creating a Black Art, though it was later used as a base for later Black Arts that came to exist. This Magic allows the user to utilize destructive abilities; it is triggered by going by the opposite of the 'magic = feelings' concept—by fuelling their magic with negative feelings, the user is capable of initiating the usual fusion of eternano and magical power, only manifesting magical power in a dark and malefic nature; this is known as Darkness Magic. With this type of magic, the user has absolute dominance over the element of shadows; and thus, darkness, night, and any dark-related elements. This Magic has a physical form used for destroying objects, blocking enemies' attacks and picking up objects; consistently, it is a pulsating crimson. When using it, the user more often than not shapes their attacks into the form of waves or arcs of shadows, which they can use in various ways. The shadows can be channeled to a variety of effects, both as an absence of light and a solid substance: one can also control and manipulate the beings that exist there, create and dispel shields and areas of total darkness, create a variety of constructs and weapons and, teleport themselves through massive distances via shadows; being able to take out multiple opponents with just one attack and capture people, sinking them into the depths of their shadow.

  • Kiss of Shadows (くちづけ シャドウ kuchiduke shadou) By containing darkness magic particles within his hand, Liber is able to reach into any shadow around him and pull out a shadowed silhouette of men from within the shadows, commanding them to fight and serve his will. With the magic power inside his hands Liber easily reaches into the shadow and with the darkness magic within his hands can form transparent shade men inside the shadows, as if he was to pull a man from the shadows to expose him to the light. These shadow men have no weakness to the light and can be fully capable to fight against their commanded enemies in the daylight, with their only requirement if for shadows to be around the area, for these shadow men to be pulled out from as well as fall back to when required. There is no limit to how homany shadow men Liber can pull out and could easily create battallions of worthy and determined soldiers all at his disposal, willing to fight to the death for their master. Any shadow will do for this spell no matter the size the shadow is to allow the shade men to be pulled out from, meaning that the darkness of shadows have become Liber's most utelised and dangerous weapon.
  • Darkness-Make (闇の造形魔法ダークネス・メーク, Dākunesu Meiku lit. Darkness Molding Magic) is a Caster Magic and a subspecies of Darkness Magic of the Molding Magic brand; as the name may or may not suggest, Darkness-Make involves the creation of objects involving the element known as darkness, which is the polar opposite to brightness, the result of the condition of a very small amount or even an absence of visible light; beings are incapable of distinguishing colours in conditions of either high brightness or darkness, and in conditions of insufficient light, perception is achromatic and ultimately, black; not only this, Darkness-Make encompasses shadows, which is a space where light from a light source is blocked by an opaque object, occupying all of the three-dimensional volume behind an object with light in front of it. Like most other forms of Molding Magic, Darkness-Make is something of an oddball amongst the various other forms of Elemental Magic and their subspecies, as while more often than not, Darkness-Make lacks sheer power, it more than makes up for it in the incredible amount of options at hand which can be brought out by the caster's imagination. In order to harness Darkness-Make, the user makes the usual Molding Magic pose, placing their right arm down next to their abdomen, with an open palm, and from here, the caster places their closed right fist on the face of their palm – while the caster induces the usual elemental formation process by pulsing the magical energies dwelling within their Magic Origin outwards into the immediate area in order to interact with the eternano that's saturated throughout the atmosphere, thus starting up the mainstay magical energy + eternano fusion, this dynamic pose enables the user to tap into alchemic theory, which is a philosophical and protoscientific tradition that aimed to purify, mature, and perfect certain objects into its mechanics as a major proponent of the sequence as they utilize their willpower as well as their Magical Aura surging outwards from their body in order to harness the principles of going by the opposite of the 'magic = feelings' concept—by fuelling their magic with negative feelings, the user is capable of initiating the usual fusion of eternano and magical power, manifesting pure darkness, which is the polar opposite to brightness, the result of the condition of a very small amount or even an absence of visible light.

Rune Magic (経典の魔法 Kyōten no Mahō) is a Holder-type, Letter Magic allowing the user to draw and manipulate runes. Rune Magic, in a sense, is similar to Solid Script in that it allows for a plethora of effects through the illustration of a variety of symbols into the air through a medium or one's own magical power. However, unlike Solid Script, Rune Magic is rather antiquated in that it holds specific spells for specific purposes. It is defined into hundreds of subcategories, ancient runes, modern runes and the like. Some allow for elemental conjuration, others allow for miscellaneous effects such as teleportation. This magic is one of Liber most useful magics besides his Nullification Magic as it produces several effects that can aid Liber in both combat and noncombat situations due to its wide variety of spells and outcomes it produces. There are two ways that Liber can cast and utelise this magic, either with using a magical marker that unlocks the capability of these runes and his own magical power throught the use of his hands, which can be a little more weaker or stronger than when used with his markers.

  • Teleportation Rune (しゅんかんいどう ルーンもじ shunkanidou ruunmoji) is a special rune that requires preperation order for Liber to finally use this substitute rune form. Using a special marker containing magical properties that aid Liber in his use for his Rune Magic, Liber enscribes the symbol of a star with circles at every point of the shape on the ground that he wishes to teleport to, activating the deliver point of his spell, requiring him to create another rune of the same design to allow him access to the transport that the rune magic supplies him with. Implanting soecial ethernnao designed just for teleportation Liber can carry on to creating the second symbol for his to access, which he can do in a later date provided that he has only drawn the delivery point so far for the spell. Now Liber can get very ccreative to how he may use this extract point of the teleportation rune, as he can transport not only himself but as well as other things that he so wishes, from teleporting himself to escape an incoming attack or teleporting a container of special goods to the destination, there is no limits of what and how Liber can utelise this rune spell. Once having drawn up the same design with the same magical marker that has the magical properties used to make the first symbol, the magic within this extracting point consumes the figure within the star, completely eating up the transportee and turning them into a life form of ethernano allowing easy transportation to the other symbol of delivery, as the magic within the first symbol attracts the extraction ethernano towards them, delivering the user to the designated spot of teleportation and returning them to their original form.
  • Explosive Mine Rune (爆発鉱山ルーン Bakuhatsu kōzan rūn) using the same marker Liber forms a different type of rune that he draws on the surface where he decides the explosion should start from, enscripting a mysterious symbol onto the surface, with also the energy of thought that he transfers within into the marker turns the symbol into a light fiery red, representing it's properties to do with the element of fire before blending into it's surface out of the sight of it's user. This rune contains mass amounts of fire magic produced in the pen and with enough pressure or life sensory utelised by the mine to trigger an explosion, can implode on itself leading up to an explosion of fiery debris and fireballs that shoot out everywhere, setting everything it touches on fire. The mine does sense Liber, but however doesn't explode on him or his chosen allies, which they remain identifiable and protected from explosion by the hidden mine, but the mine doesn't just not harm the drawer's allies as well, as anyone who gets caught up WILL die during that dangerous bomb. The explosive mine rune produces a twenty-five radius explosion that takes out everything in it's past, which means that this spell must be used responsibly.
  • Freeze Mine Rune (フリーズ鉱山ルーン Furīzu kōzan rūn) Just as the Explosive Mine Rune, the rune is triggered by pressure on the magic energy produced by the rune that floats around the location of the rune or can be triggered by a intense sense of unidentified or targeted presnece near the rune. The difference to the explosion mine rune is that it explodes woth ice magic which instantly freezes it's tresspasser, ultimately encasing them in a mound of ice leaving the vulnerable attacks that could break through the ice and break though the victim, making it both useful for peaceful and violent resolutions. The ice magic energy within is pressured against eachother as thye get ready to burst due to the compact space that the etehrnano magic is kept inside, developing to becoming more positive to eachother which forces them to repel eachother away, but since their compact they can't and would create a violent burst of Ice magic that freezes targets. The mound of ice however isn't too big and is just enough to trap a normal sized human being, with the ice being near inpenetrable except when exposed to high temperatures to flames.
  • Timed Explosion Rune (時限爆発ルーン Jigen bakuhatsu rūn) again just like the Explosion Mine Rune this rune deals the same effect, except without getting triggered by a strong sense of unknwon or enemy presence and a pressure conflicted on the trigger energy around the rune, this rune is timed by a special technique used when Liber draws the rune onto the surface. As he draws the rune onto the surface he wishes blown up, Liber leaves a small space for more lines to be drawn down, representing the space that the time of how many minutes the rune will take before blowing up, by tallying minutes in the small space within the rune. When finished Liber will notice that the rune will disappear and blend into the surface to keep away from enemy eyes, but will see a faint appearance of the tallied numbers, which turn into digital numbers showing how much time till detonation. The countdown will begin and Liber must evacuate to a safe distance away from it, minimum twenty five metres from the explosive rune, recommended that he hides behind a strong barrier that will prevent most of the force of the explosion. This explosion is nearly as big as Explosive Mine Rune as it reaches around twenty five metres, when the latter only reaches exact meaning that the timed explosion could reach more or less of the number.

    Forced Soul Rune (きょうこう きはく ルーン kyoukou kihaku rūn) is one of Liber's most powerfullest and different rune spells available to the mage, as it utelises the hands and it's effects depend on the size of the targets, both very dangerous no matter which one gets caught up in the spell. By forcing magic energy into his mind and hands, Liber concentrates calmly to conjure up a coloured rune of a pentagram right infront of him, covering a decent amount of ground before him to ensure that most of his attackers may get caught into the rune. The rune takes no appearance in the first few seconds until they are caught into the area trap, only bursting out of the ground as the coloured light shine throuh the cracks of the ground after getting triggered by an unknown presence within the rune, forcing the target to collapse into the ground as it pushes out the life out of it's victim indiscriminately. By pulling in magical energy within the person hence it pulling the target into the ground to where the rune is, it forcefully drains the magical ethernano power of the victim mage as well as forcefull and violently pushing out physcial energy in order to make the target weary and tired, as unable to make them capable for more combat to the point where they will pass out if Liber wishes, with the rune remaining until all energy is drained out.

    God Render (かみ かんらく kami kanraku) a mysterious magic that reequires a large number of mages that have learned the basics and techniques of Rune Magic, God Render is a spell primarily used to contain large beasts such as wyverns and dragons and absorb and drain nearly their energy force, which basically makes God Render a powerful and larger scaled variant of the Forced Soul Rune. This spell only requires one person to be mastered in the rune art as they will be the only one to enchanct and cst the spell with the aid of others, but since Liber has inherited his Spirit blood, Liber is capable of casting the magic by himself which proves to be his most dangerous aspect of his Rune Magic selection. By exerting magic from both his hands as he holds them out infront of him, the magic falling out of Liber builds bup together on the surface that Liber concentrates on and mentally draws a strange rune of a pentagram, that is only known to Liber and invisible to others. Now at his control, Liber can activate and trigger the large trap by releasing a mass amount of ethernano energy at the sametime as he concentrates, powering the run greatly as it activates and creates a large barrier capable of containing any large creature that lives on Earth Land. Impenetrable and da nulling force, this Rune magic makes use of Liber's Nullification Magic and Chain Magic as it keeps the large beast within chained to the ground as the rune seeps out the magical and physical energy of the beast, tiring it out before Liber releases them.

Telepathy (念話, Terepashī) is a rather simple Caster Type magic, used to communicate with others mentally. The flexibilty of this magic is very high, as it has been shown that certain users can send thoughts to various people, at various distances. It also happens to be a subspecies of Spatial Magic, because Telepathy manipulates the space around the caster so that thoughts and memories can be transferred from one wizards magical signature to anothers. Telepathy allows the user to manipulate the ethernano particles in a certain space, so that small wisps of magical energy are capable of leaving the caster, and being absorbed into a specific mage's magic core. These wisps of magical energy are actually thoughts or memories of the caster, that travel 332 metres per second to arrive at the directed target. If the user has a certain skill level in the magic, they are able to gradually contact a very high number of people, over extreme distances, even the span of the entire country of Fiore.

Physical Abilities[]

LiberMagicAura

A Magical Aura (魔力の霊気 Maryoku no Reiki; Literally meaning Aura of Magical Power) is a common term given to the exertion of magical energy into a form outside of Harmond's body that isn't used in the formation of spells. It has been demonstrated by various mages of varying potency, and is a common means of intimidation. A magical aura is created when the body's container of Eternano particles exceeds the limits of what it contains, or is purposefully released by the user. Upon doing so, the magical energy surges around Harmond and is exerted outwards in the form of an aura, which holds considerable pressure surrounding it. Depending on the level of magical power one possesses and the control behind it, it can be used as a means to intimidate another individual, or as a preparation for a powerful spell. Harmond's magical aura is typically made up of unused magical energy that would be primarily used for his healing spells and such would deflect any incoming magical missile aimed towards Harmond, protecting him from the potential danger as it absorbs the fired magic producing it to become of their own healing magic energy. In addition to this Harmond is also able to heal fellow teammates that come near him, as he powers them greatly with the positive effects of his unused magic particles, allowing these members to take deadly hits and quickly regenerate in battle as the are continuosly hit by these aggresive strikes. Liber is able to form a pure ethernano aura of red tha resembles large flames, though displays his body as a whole showing his magic power that does not match a master of magic.

Immense Strength: His strength allows him to stand against more powerful forces against him such as strong winds and extremely strong strikes against his position, standing firmly on the ground after having collided with such power. He has also shown the capability of break apart long blades and even magical firearms in half with ease, also using his strength to meddle and mess up internal mechanics and machinery inside machines such as robots and even bombs used against him. He displays this power usually through denting the ground, which many mages of incredible show by usually slamming their fist or foot onto the ground which causes a small shake in the ground and atmosphere as small gusts of wind weakly push against those around them. This can also shown through the powerful clap as Liber slams both hands against each other which can provide an extremely loud sound wave capable of eliminating another sound around his area, also eliminating any wind attacks coming his way as wind from the clap has the ability to cancel out air projectiles aimed at him. It also can clear out any gasses in the room, clearing out fog or smoke in just seconds if he finds himself blinded by dense collections of gas around him.

Substantial Ethernano Capacity: Due to having blood relations to the mystical race of the Spirits, Liber has inherited the Spirits' most dangerous aspect; their nearly unlimited magical energy supply that lets these Spirit beings cast spells to their heart's content, as they will easily outlast the normal human mage if the two were to consistently cast spells. This Spirit enhancement also allows the user to cast spells that not even the most powerfullest mages on Ishgar could do, as most of these dangerous magics require mass amounts of concentration and vast quantities of magic energy, some of which these wizards do not utelise or are unable to attain. As another strength to this attribute Liber is able absorb mass amounts of Ethernano quickly to replenish his magic capacity, as his body keeps up with the standard time for ethernano replenishment but five times the energy consumption due to the sheer size of Liber's magic capacity.

Substantial Speed: From intense training and practise of the body muscles Liber has been able to improve and greatly enhance the speed and reaction of his body and nerves, allowing him to move faster and react even quicker, dodging all sorts of attacks that may come his way. These movements can also come in handy with his weapon the Knived Chains, which with fast movements of the arms and wrist can create a terrifying flurry of attacks that reach opponents several feet away, cutting down anything that comes into the range of Liber. With extreme speed Liber can outrun nearly everything combined with reduced earth, as only gusts of wind would be the only image left of his presence there, and can quickly avoid many incoming magical missiles, even speeding tfaster than the said projectiles. Though however this powerful aspect of his calabilities can easily downfall him if he is not careful with his movements and plans, where could accidently run into obstacles that he might not have enough time to stop.

LiberDurability

Immense Durability: Besides his lack of immense strength and stamina, Liber's most identifiable aspect is his immense durability which allows him to take in several hundred hits to his body before breaking down in pain, allowing him to last longer in fights and outmatch his oppponent must they share the same pain. This immense durability allows Ikai to easily stop incoming missiles of magic with just his body as well as high speed projectiles which he can stop with just the catch of his hand, cating the appearance of a god-like figure that is immune to pain. With this aspect Liber can fall from several feet from the air and get back up as if nothing happened, allowing him to get back into the fight quickly as he brushes himself off from the fall.

Immense Stanima: Along with his infinite like magic supply, that stops Liber from going tired too quickly Liber also has an increase in stanima, making him less tired from a constant use of physcial activity. With this enhancement Liber can outlast a standard melee fight against his opponents, without getting tired from throwing punches and dodging throws from the challenger.

Reduced Earth (縮地, Shukuchi) learned during his stay with the guild Libertus, is a basic high-speed movement technique, developed long before magic became commonplace; effectively, through the user slamming their foot upon earth ten times in a split second, they are capable of kicking off the ground in the blink of an eye and live up to the technique's name of "reduced earth" as the technique shrinks the distance between the user and their target in a split second. When performing Reduced Earth, the user focuses the majority of their body weight to one of their legs of the briefest of moments, before stomping the foot where most of their weight is focused upon the solid surface of where the user is standing at a rapid velocity before shifting the weight back to the rest of their frame, generating enough thrust to propel the user forward at incredible speeds, at least akin to a master of High Speed and defying the abilities of Slowing Magic; accelerating at velocities that are almost untraceable to reach short or long distances near instantaneously- it should be taken into consideration that in order to perform the technique at all, the user requires a solid surface to kick into and thus produce enough thrust.

  • Afterimage Reduced Earth (残像縮地, Zanzō Shukuchi): A variant of the bog-standard Reduced Earth high-speed movement technique- Afterimage Reduced Earth, as the name would suggest, it allows the user to produce various afterimages while in motion. When performing Afterimage Reduced Earth, the user increases the amount of times they slam their foot down upon a solid surface from ten times in a row to fifteen- this produces much more thrust, which, while it doesn't increase the user's speed when inducing the technique as it logically should, it does have an arguably more useful function-the sheer thrust produced results in the user's swift physical movements instead form an intangible and transparent distorted decoy-like doppelganger of the user that follows their movements in accordance, remaining behind them at varying distances for the duration of the Reduced Earth technique. By themselves, the afterimages produced by this iteration of the high-speed movement are incapable of acting out of their own "will" autonomously, but rather, are an indication of the velocity that the user is moving at despite no real change in movement speed- however, that's where its true utility lies at. The afterimages produced by Afterimage Reduced Earth are capable of confounding opponents who are unable to follow the user's movements; often, it is common for an opponent to attack an afterimage in the belief that the decoy is the real deal and they are about to land a killing blow, only for it to vanish and scatter harmlessly to the winds, whereas the actual user appears somewhere else, commonly flanking the enemy's side while giving no indication of their movements, allowing the user to counterattack instantly with very little opportunity for the opponent to evade the incoming strike.
  • Water Walk Reduced Earth (水歩縮地, Suipo Shukuchi): Water Walk Reduced Earth is a variant of the normal Reduced Earth technique, which, as the name would ever-so-subtly suggest, enables the user to apply the Reduced Earth ability upon the surface of water, effectively allowing them walk, or rather, dash, on water just like some other guy used to do. When performing Water Walk Reduced Earth, the user, upon any body of water that appears as if it could support a person, allowing them to shift the majority of their bodily weight to one of their feet and kick down ten times in the blink of an eye before their body becomes submerged within the water, inducing a high-speed dash that propels themselves forward in the blink of an eye. When Water Walk Reduced Earth is activated, it effectively simulates the experience of simply performing the regular Reduced Earth on a surface, with the user's motions treating the watery body beneath their feet as if it were a solid instead of the actual liquid state that it is, calmly and swiftly moving across the water- while Water Walk Reduced Earth is engaged, anything across and below the water's surface is instantly repelled, as droplets and waves does not splash across the user's body as their motions step on the water, and any threatening animal such as a goddamn shark is knocked back down to the depths if it attempts to take a chunk out of an unsuspecting user; however, once the technique is disengaged, water physics return to normal and the user can be left vulnerable.
  • Water Walk Reduced Earth (水歩縮地, Suipo Shukuchi): Water Walk Reduced Earth is a variant of the normal Reduced Earth technique, which, as the name would ever-so-subtly suggest, enables the user to apply the Reduced Earth ability upon the surface of water, effectively allowing them walk, or rather, dash, on water just like some other guy used to do.   • Wavejet Step (本職使い瞬動・噴射高速蹲踞疾走ウェーブジェット・ステップ, Uēbujetto Suteppu lit. Professional-Usage Instant Movement Technique: Jet-Propelled High-Speed Crouching Sprint): The Wavejet Step is a very useful high-speed movement technique that is classified as a martial arts-based ability revolving around the user's steps that can be performed as long as the user has some sort of supernatural energy fuelling their movements, whether it be magical power, curse power, or even good ol' fighting spirit- but what Wavejet Step is, is a jump that is canceled by descending instantly so that the user never leaves the ground, resulting in a sliding motion that produces smoke at the user's feet and a freakishly swift burst of brief acceleration for three seconds. It is regarded as a high-level advanced technique that only those deeply engrossed with close-range combat that is superior to all 'traditional' forms of speed-enhancing powers such as High Speed and Slowing Magic because it allows the user to perform any ground action while moving horizontally on the ground. In any case, the Wavejet Step is performed by the user ascending to the skies in an extremely short hop that ideally shouldn't have them raise more than ten centimeters above the ground- from here, the user gathers and condenses their supernatural energies of choice upon the soles of their shoes/feet, before they shift a majority of their weight to their legs, descending upon the ground as swiftly as they entered the air, giving off the appearance of never having left the ground- but indeed, upon contact with the ground, the shock of the impact releases an airhorn-like sound as it transfers the momentum that the user had accumulated via briefly hopping into the air into a swift strafing movement of ground-based movement, sliding long the ground without walking or running; resulting in a sliding motion that produces smoke of varying colours at the character's feet. The length of time that a user slides by harnessing Wavejet Step is determined by a number of factors: by the angle at which they charged energies into their feet -with low angles yielding longer Wavejet Steps- how close to the ground they were before charging -the closer the user, the longer their Wavejet Step- and finally, the character's traction -low traction yields long streams of movements, while high traction yields shorter slides. One use of Wavejet Step by itself is not particularly useful; it is when the move is repeated rapidly that it becomes both impressive and supremely practical, and it is capable of being harnessed for a near immeasurable amount of purposes- it is useful for quickly escaping from close combat with an opponent, and it can get a user to the end of an area to the other faster than any other type of movement; the Wavejet Step can also be harnessed in order to avoid anything in the user's way that would impede their movements, enabling each and every one of their actions and movements while under the effect of the Wavejet Step being precise as humanly possible. It can lead into many combos and techniques; and because by harnessing the Wavejet Step, the user is technically standing as they slide, they can perform any ground attacks that could normally be performed from a standing position while retaining all of their standing defensive maneuvers- a skilled user can use another high-speed movement while under the effects of the Wavejet Step as well. A skilled user can take the concept of maneuverability derived from the Wavejet Step a step further, harnessing the techniques to dodge enemy attacks and set up a counterattack; after a while, it becomes instrumental in characters' combos and their defense. Those who are slow can rely on the Wavejet Step in order to extricate themselves from difficult situations. Additionally, the concept of hopping into the air before descending instantly towards the ground provides a useful segue from a character's aerial combat to their basic ground combat. However, Wavejet Step can be interrupted, but mind-games and mix-ups can trick the opponent. All of this combined to make harnessing the Wavejet Step a very rapid mind-game aspect that is difficult to counter; generally, a fighter harnessing the Wavejet Step in rapid succession means that they possess above-average skills.
  • Boundless Speed-of-Sound Reduced Earth (无疆音速縮地, Mukyō-Onsoku Shukuchi): Boundless Speed-of-Sound Reduced Earth is a variant of Reduced Earth- no, it is the highest point of progression for the Reduced Earth technique, being touted as the "supreme form of ultimate speed" without any drastic modifications to the technique; and can only be used by a true master of the ability of "Reduced Earth"; effectively, it enables the user to move at the speed of sound, leaving a sonic boom in their wake. When performing Boundless Speed-of-Sound Reduced Earth, the user assumes the position of crouching their knees, leaning forward before they induce the usual Reduced Earth motions by transferring a majority of their weight into one of the feet, before kicking down on a solid surface- only in the case of this version, the user only kicks down nine times rapidly; after this point, the user performs a small hop up and down, dragging out the noise released by their foot slamming against the surface so that the sound of their feet smashing upon the ground isn't heard until after their feet have left the surface once more. Once the sound lag has reached the pinnacle of its existence, the user leaps forward with what appears to be the normal Reduced Earth motions, producing a powerful sonic boom that results in a shockwave resonating throughout the area, destroying anything that the sonic boom comes into contact with, uprooting trees and demolishing everything that its area-of-effect touches, effectively destroying anything in-front and behind the user with a powerful echo. The motion itself propels the user at five times boosted the regular speed of Reduced Earth, almost invisible to the naked eye at a velocity that gives the user the appearance of a supersonic bullet shooting towards the enemy at the speed of sound as the name would suggest; propelling themselves towards their target at inconceivable speeds, dashing across the battlefield while gliding over the ground. Because when inducing Boundless Speed-of-Sound Reduced Earth, the user moves faster than the eye can see, the opponent won't be able to react until after the user has already hit them. Unlike other iterations of Reduced Earth, the velocity gained by utilizing the Boundless Speed-of-Sound Reduced Earth technique also increases the user's strength considerably for the duration of the movement; allowing a user to defeat an opponent in one blow depending on the foe's strength level. This speed produced by this version of Reduced Earth is noted to be something completely different than mere speed-enhancing techniques; in fact, a "teleportation beyond teleportation".

Liber05

Knived Blades is Liber's main weapon when battling against opponents, and are basically large sets of knives that are connected together by several mechanisms that help the blades do exactly what their user Liber orders and intends them to do. These blades that connect as a chain link between eachother are deadly sharp and can cut through flesh pretty easily, leaving nearly and unsealable wound behind must they cut their opponents, which can only be healed quick enough by Healing Magic. The metal to form these blades is metal that has never been commonly used before, and is typically rare and very hard to obtain, showing the expense and value of the knived chains, with how many knives were used to make up the chain.

Liber06

Through quick and fast motions of the wrist and hands Liber can influence these whips to go all directions that he wants, with them swiftly cutting through the air and soon cutting through his opponents if they are not too careful around him. The whips also appear to have a mind of their own simetimes as they independently rush from the long sleeves of Liber or even stand up on their own as they peer at their next targets, just as how a snake whould stance themselves, this however is just as trick and perfomance to fool those that watch him during a battle. The knives blades can also disconnect where they will acts as sort of kunais which Liber can utelise, usually by flicking his wrist violently foward to unfasten the blades from eachother as they fly to their enemy, or dismantling them manually by himself as he picks them pff from the chain one by ne, getting a better aim at his oponent as he has more control over where he throws the kunai. They don't seem to be affected by magic as much, as they can dispel a magic shot at the, instantly which allows the chain to continue swinging in the direction, completly distentegrating the magic power that was shot at him, now proving to be both an offensive and defensive tool for Liber.
