Light Magic (光の魔法, Hikari no Mahō) is a Caster Magic, Holder Magic, and Elemental Magic that gives its users the ability to create and manipulate light.
Overview[]
Light Magic is a form of Elemental Magic that gives its users the ability to create and manipulate light. It can be used as a Caster Magic by exerting one's magic power naturally or as a Holder Magic by channeling one's magic power into an item. It is often regarded to be "holy" however, light magic on its own has no association with White Arts. It is often combined with White Arts to produce various forms of light-related magic however. Like all other Elemental Magics, light can be dangerous when in the hands of a capable wizard. The color and element have no bearing on the character of a mage.
Light Magic is quite versatile and can be used in many ways. Firstly the "texture" of light itself can be manipulated. Some are seen manifesting it in an energy-like form, others like a liquid, or even forming it into solid constructs. A user is capable of creating beams, arcs, and waves of light as well as shape it into makeshift constructs such as blades and shields reminiscent of Light-Make. They can also blind their foes or create areas of pure light that are impossible to see through or turn themselves into light. In general, the projected light is bright white, however it often has an outline similar in color to the user's magic aura or a yellowish tint.
Light Magic is contrasted by its counterpart Darkness Magic. Contrary to belief, none is superior to the other, as they exist in equilibrium. Light cannot exist without darkness just as easily as there is no darkness without light. Thus, in a battle between Light Magic and Darkness Magic, none truly has an advantage. The advantage comes from the talent and usage of the mage.

Offensive Spells[]
- Glowfly (蛍, Hotaru): The caster begins by extending their hand flat, letting their magic power flow into the air, blending with ethernano. This action causes several, or up to tens of, compact orbs of glowing golden light to appear around their targets, emitting a low whining noise. At the user's command, these orbs burst forth with light and a vicious pop, releasing enough kinetic energy to force enemies into the air, dealing significant damage to their body. Along with the explosion of kinetic energy, this spell also releases a blinding flash of light and an earsplitting blast of sound to temporarily remove their sense of sight and hearing. The range of Glowfly is both indicated by the gesture and the power exerted. A stronger force exerted will create more orbs and more forceful explosions, while a more sweeping gesture tends to cover a larger area. More skillful users of this spell are even capable of performing it without bodily motion.
- Milky Way (天の川 Amanogawa): The user weaves light particles into a single, extremely potent whip, which possesses exceedingly high cutting power. Though fragile, the user is able to regenerate it through use of Light Magic. The user has shown the ability to effortlessly cut through most substances through this spell, and can even manipulate its structure enough to make it hold their opponents and tie them in a rope of sorts.

- Light Body (光の体, Hikari no Karada): The user transforms their body into light, vastly increasing their speed and letting them travel through the air. Additionally it causes most physical and magical attacks to pass through their form. Magics that target their emotions or magic that eradicates light are some of the few that can effect them in this form.
