Lycanthropy is a Caster Type, Lost Magic taught by Moon Wolves.
Overview[]
The magic can only be taught by Moon Wolves, and with the exception of spells like Magical Drain, cannot be copied under any circumstances. It allows the user to store, and manipulate energy gathered by the moon, allowing for increased physical capabilities, energy manipulation, and flight. Users also undergo physical change, giving the user sharper nails and fangs. The user is also capable of absorbing other sources of energy that manipulate lunar rays. Under the light of the moon this magic can be maintained indefinitely, but outside of it, the user has a limited amount of energy they can use to perform their more powerful techniques. The user can also use a spell that mimics the Moon Drip, but only to a weaker degree, allowing them to weaken the target's spells up to 50% their full power. In turn, the Moon Drip spell, or anything similar, does not work on them. The user is also capable of transformation into a large, white, werewolf-like creature for increased physical capabilities at the cost of more of their lunar energy, but with an increase in physical power and potency of spells.
Weaknesses[]
As the magic can only be maintained for a limited time outside of moonlight, the stored moonlight can quickly be burned out by use of more powerful spells. The user could find alternative sources of lunar energy, but this would be difficult to do. Members of the Mars Clan are exempt from this weakness, however, as they are capable of absorbing energy from the sun and the moon.
Trivia[]
This magic should not be confused for the transformation undergone by Lycanthropes, as this can be taught and one is not born with it.
