Melereon Troska (めれいよん とろすか Mere-yon Torosuka) is a Mage belonging to Serpent King Guild located in South Fiore. He is noted for being consistently absent when ever put up as a candidate for the S-Class Trials, claiming that he despises the notion of societal status. He also seems to highly regard his Archive magic yet states his other magic is useless and a disappointment, in doing so he has never revealed his second form of magic; some speculate it to be sword magic for the fact he commonly uses a sword in combat, though when questioned Melereon states that he can't use sword magic. Despite not using magic though he appears to be highly skilled as he is currently in an ongoing rivaly with the S-Class Mage Laxus Dreyar and whenever they fight it only ends in a draw to both men's dismay. He has been nominated 6 times for the S-Class Trial and has never once shown up to actually take it.

He is a very reserved and intellectual man, even when taunting Laxus openly he keeps his composure. He believes himself to be the most intelligent man in Fiore thus why he oftenly speaks with a condescending tone and is heavily confident in his abilities. He appears to have a superiority complex that at the same time diverges onto God complex. He also shows signs of sociopathy as well as a clear side that divulged a sadistic persona.

Proficient in Hand-to-Hand Combat: He seems proficient in hand to hand combat but has stated it isn't his choice of combat and is out paced in this form of martial arts by the other Guild members.
Enhanced Strength: His strength is visibly clear, most commonly mistaken for having low physical strength due to his body shape he has shown to be able to snap someones arm out of place with relative ease during the Grand Magic Games, he has also shown the capacity to go toe-to-toe against Laxus at Mercy. With a kick he was able to shatter a member of a Dark Guild's leg.
Immense Speed and Reflexes: During there battles, not only is Melereon able to keep up with Laxus even in lightning form with his eyes, but he can also dodge at astounding skill. If anything, he may prove to be faster and more agile than Laxus as shown during their first encounter when Laxus was wondering "what the hell was up with this guy's speed?", at first assuming it was magic enhanced later for Melereon to clarify it was all natural.
