"Before there was the universe, there was darkness. Before there was darkness, there was time. And before there was time, before there was even nothing, "space", there was a brewing storm of infinite souls, screaming and wailing through every atom, shaking every molecule, bringing about the matter which formed what we call existence."

Moloch (モロク, Moroku) is the Beast that grew and developed within Amon, beginning as the latter's greatest fears, trauma and guilt building up before being repressed into the corners of his mind. Exposure to Black Blood kickstarted the growth of Moloch into a sentient entity, beginning as a seemingly mindless force inside of Amon's mind, adapting alongside Amon in order to become the perfect counterforce to one day kill him, fulfilling his purpose.
