Mysteria Relic (神代崇高骨董(ミステリア·レリック), Misuteria Rerikku; lit. "Sublime Vestige of Ancient Times") is a classification of Magic Tools (though it uses multiple energies, thus not truly exclusive to Magic itself), considered to be the rarest and most powerful of its kind; also known as OOPArts (素人超人勢力の古代遺物(オーパーツ), Ōpātsu; lit. "Ancient Relics of Prime Supernatural Forces"), as they were things that were never meant to come into existence for multiple reasons — some of which is linked to their natural opposition to various laws governing creation, thus having powers to alter reality on such a scale with a simple use, the Mysteria Relics were said to have been created by various deities and beings hailing from other dimensions and planes of existence, thus serves as living proof of other lifeforms that predate or exist alongside humankind.

Though the exact number of Mysteria Relics are unknown at this point, it's estimated to be well over a hundred, but less than a thousand; it's seen that many individuals have come into possession of a Mysteria Relic through unknown weapon, employing it to their discretion while harnessing its immense powers. It's said that weapons such as the Ulm-Manadite, Holy Relics of the Zentopian Church, and certain Holder Magics of the Ancient Magics of the Thirteen Otherworldly Virtues fit into this category. Such relics are sought after by various Esoterologists, and estimated to cost "a pretty penny" — the price of one capable of destroying the economy of a society with no hope of a swift recovery.

Overview[]

"Oh my, this is quite a find; to think that I would have such an opportunity to investigate a relic with a rich history and hidden secrets that's yet to be revealed! If I'm successful, I can propel mankind further into the future and help uncover the vast mysteries of our realm. No longer will we remain ignorant and stagnated. We have a chance to do something great and feel good doing it. Maybe help forget about the various tragedies that's occurred over the centuries? Eh, wishful thinking. Anyways, it feels like I'm receiving a birthday gift and a christmas present at the same time. I don't know what to do first to be honest!"
— An excited Esoterologist that's about to study Mysteria Relic someone had loaned to him.

Trivia[]

  • Like the other pages that the author has in his possession, this is, more or less, a reference page, used to keep track of all the "super powerful" weaponry and plot devices that he uses in his various storylines.
  • The need for this article came about because of the author noticing that many characters in the Heroic Chronicles storyline were weapon users and most of the plot devices were magical objects that were created with a purpose. It should be noted that the article also helps explain the origins of certain objects and weaponry, relating them to a certain race or civilization that author is trying to expand on for one reason or another.
