The Nine Circles of Hell (地獄の九円 Jigoku no Kyū-en) are a group consisting of some of the strongest and most affluent Demon's of the Underworld. They serve directly under the absolute rulers of Hell, the Four Great Satans (四大魔王 Yondai Maō).
Overview[]
They have varying roles from personal guards of high-ranking demon's to military-specific assignments to assassinations and even security and policing work. The Nine have complete authority over the Demon Army's structure and every solider in it's ranks. They ae almost always in the underworld but some members are tasked with things in the human world.
One can also gain entry to the ranks of the Nine Circles by challenging a current member to single combat and winning.
The leader is not necessarily the strongest member and they are not decided based on what sin they represent, the last leader represented the sin of greed and the current leader represents wrath.

- Tsubaki Orphne (ツバキ・オルフィン Tsubaki Orufin) — Her sin is treachery before her talents in covert operations and espionage and because of her history of betraying her comrades. She brutally betrayed Raphael and mascaraed as one of his closet confidants for years.
- Aello (アエロ Aero) — because of his enormous appetite and addictive nature.
- Nacho Carrera ナチョ・カレーラ Nacho Karēra) — A short, ill-tempered and highly aggressive man with an undeniable bloodlust. He is one of the famed "Demon Duo", alongside his younger brother, Manuel. He sin of because he is a battle-maniac.
- Lucius Beelzebub (ルシウス・ベルゼブブ Rushiusu Beruzebubu) — The son of the current Head of House Beelzebub and one of the Four Satans.
- Asmodeus (アスモデウス Asumodeusu) — A short, amicable and pleasant elderly man that likes to stick to the rules. Referred to as the Right Hand of Satan, Asmodeus is the current leader of the Nine. He is the sin of wrath because of his past actions of razing kingdoms to the ground and conquering. He is likely the second strongest among the Nine, after the sin of limbo.
- Leviathan — He uses Take Over and is referred to as Budo The Tempest and Dragon Slayer Deidra. He is the sin of limbo because of his incredibly lazy nature as well as his indecisiveness and inattentiveness.
- Unknown Sin of Hersey — A mysterious, large, rowdy and disobedient man. He is noted to be highly laid-back and anti-authoritarian by his comrades. This makes sense, given the sin he represents.
- Raphael Gremory (ラファエル・グレモリー Rafaeru Guremorī) — He is the former king of Daobeth and the Guild Master of Torched Heaven. He is a user of Devil Slayer Magic, being a Fire Devil Slayer. He defeated another member of the Nine to gain entry and he was given the sin of Fraud because he is a Half-Blood, the only one in the history of the Nine Circles.
- Diablo Guison (ディアブロ・ギソン Diaburo Gison) — A tall, slim, handsome noble-blooded demon with a rather flamboyant personality and a passion for cooking. Cook of Death. He is the sin of lust because of his highly lustful nature and constant pursuing of the many beautiful women he sees around him. The current Head of House Guison.
