Styx (スティックス, Sutikkusu), otherwise known as Edgar (エドガー, Edogā) by his host, Ellen Poe, is a Demon wandering Earthland, using Ellen to do so, due to his natural weakness to light. He is known as the Heart Devourer (心臓食い, Shinzō-gui), due to his method of absorbing magic energy involving the consumption of a mage's heart.

Styx has no definite form, essentially being a living shadow, and can grow several, blood red pupiless eyes on it, and is capable of changing the size and shape of his body as he desires during the night. He mostly resides within Ellen's body, hiding from the sunlight.
