Team Kirin is a group of mages from the Elysium Guild who've established strong bonds with each other, and seem to work well together. The team apparently draws its name from the popular alias of its de-facto leader, Gilgamesh; otherwise known as The Kirin.

- Currently, five of the six known members of Team Kirin appear to be based off of already established characters from another series; with all five coming from the same series as well. The series in question being Wild Hunt, a manga series belonging to Wyvern 0m3g4. In it, Gilgamesh, Samson, Zelda, Robbie and Ally make up five members of the central cast of characters the story revolves around; with Gilgamesh being the main protagonist in general. In contrast, Buddy is an OC (original character) created solely for the Fairy Tail Fanon Wiki by Wyvern 0m3g4, with the intent to model an exceed after his own beloved pet cat.
