In recent months, me as well as other admins on this site feel like users are no longer bringing in quality work or "manual of style". In this blog, I'll be going through what we shall do in order to bring up the quality as that is now lacking in some users (or non-existent).
Reason Behind This[]
The reason is many articles are being made without the care for organization, grammar, spelling, correct uses of phases, apostrophe and some making paragraphs without commas or anything to stop the reader to catch a breath. In this, we'll be correcting that and going through what is required to make an article.
Summary[]
This is just a brief summary to allow users to understand the direction we'll be going with this, and the actual details shall be listed in here.
1. 'Spelling/Grammar: In recent months, many articles are poorly designed and written, which shall no longer be the case. We admins and mods will no longer tolerate articles that is not designed properly, and will ask the user to correct the instances of mistakes in a given time frame. The reason lies the fact too many articles are poorly designed and starting to become clutter. These articles are also almost entirely incomprehensible to read due to the immense amounts of errors, which is something we do not want on this site no longer. As soon the Manual of Style of published, every article must adhere to this, past, present and future and there will be no "work arounds". Some of you users has actually be told to improve on how you go about writing and designing, this will affect you the most if you do not make any attempt to correct your grammar, paragraphs and sentences as they'll likely be deleted.
2. Categories: An long-plan that was placed on hiatus, users can not create multiple categories for the same article, this just causes clutter. From now on, you have to use a single category for the same topic (you can not use Male and Males as categories, use "Males" for it, do not use Male as a category). Anyone that fails to do this will be given a verbal warn (not officially counted), but if they disregard this and keep on making duplicate categories, then a punishment will be given out.
3. 'Blank Articles: As I stated before, no user will not create a blank article, nor turn a article into a blank article. The infobox does not count, and the article requires an introduction paragraph for it to not be considered blank. The infobox is still mandatory, but do not just post purely that, have something written there.
This will be updated in the near future, please keep a eye on this blog!
