Wind Magic (風の魔法, Kaze no Mahō) is a Caster Magic, Holder Magic, and Elemental Magic that lets the user control and create wind. Some users specialize in manipulating the air itself and refer to it as Air Magic (空気の魔法, Kūki no Mahō) though the two have similar origins.

Overview[]

Wind Magic is an Elemental Magic that lets those that use it create and manipulate wind and in some cases, the air itself. It can be utilized and learned as a Caster Magic but is also a popular form of Holder Magic when objects are enchanted or include wind-based Lacrima. Wind Magic is difficult to see, though it usually takes on a semi-visible silver or white hue.

Like other elemental magics, Wind Magic has vast offensive, defensive, and supplementary properties. It is most well known for the immense cutting power of sharped blades of wind and tornados. Gusts can also take on blunt properties to buffet and push opponents around. Users can also use wind to create barricades, block projectiles, increase their movement capabilities, and most famously, fly. Some users are also capable of transforming their body into air to turn invisible and teleport.

Some choose to specialize in the manipulation of the air itself, which in addition to controlling air currents, specializes in changing the air itself, creating pressurized shockwaves and air pockets that can suffocate. They can also make themselves and others more levitant.

Depending on the strength of the caster, Wind Magic can either overcome or fan the flames of Fire Magic and greatly contrasts the sturdiness of Earth Magic. It is commonly associated with users of Lightning Magic including the fusion Storm Magic.

Offensive Spells[]

Fist of the Wind God (風神の拳, Fūjin no Ken) is an offensive spell that can be used by the various magics that utilize the element of air.A powerful spell that combined the physical skills of the user and augments them with powerful Wind-based magic. When utilizing the Fist of the Wind God, the user gathers a spiraling flow of air from the surrounding area, cloaking and compressing it into a violently swirling sphere around their fist. The user then connects their fist into the target in the form of a very powerful punch; physical contact alone is enough to disrupt the internal organs within the body and crack the bones of the individual the first makes contact with. At the moment of impact, the wind is released from the user's fist in the form of a furiously rotating whirlwind, a cyclone, that is enough to entirely rend asunder the target. The cutting nature of these powerful currents are enough to destroy all but the strongest of metals, and it slashes away at the body of the opponent in the form of invisible and miniature blades of wind. The primary weakness of this technique is simply predictability; this technique requires speed to perform, and it is easiest to pull off successfully when the user moves in a straight beeline towards their opponent. However, this makes the Fist of the Wind God a telegraphed attack; any opponent paying the slightest bit of attention can see what their opponent is aiming to do and successfully counter it, making this technique unreliable in a one-on-one match.

Defensive Spells[]

Wind Wall (魔風壁, Mafūheki): The user creates a tornado that surrounds a certain area in order to cut it off from the outside world. Things from the outside can enter it, while the ones from the inside will get cut into pieces if they try to get out of it.

Supplementary Spells[]

Flight (飛翔, Hishō): A basic and iconic ability of Wind Magic that grants the user the ability to traverse through the air by manipulating the wind around them. By exerting their magic power, they can transform the air around them into a flowing current of wind to carry themselves through the air at medium to high speeds. The faster they go the more more magic power it expends.

Wind Wake (風後流, Fukōryū): A supplementary spell that grants the user the ability increase their speed with wind. They exert their magic power to decrease the air resistance around them while generating a gust of wind behind them to propel their body forth. This greatly enhances their speed and agility, letting them to run so fast they appear as a blur and can easily avoid projectiles. They can also run across water or up walls with the aid of this spell.
