Yozakura (夜桜 Yozakura; lit. "Cherry Trees in the Evening") is a demon, and a member of a reclusive clan of powerful dog demons. A supercentarian, Yozakura is the current head of her clan, and is classified by the Magic Council as a daiyōkai (大妖怪 Great Demon); one of the top tier demons in their archives.

While her true form is that of a monstrous dog, far larger than any human, Yozakura's preferred form is that of a human girl who appears to be in her late teens. Yozakura — like all dog demons — possesses a crescent moon marking on her forehead to distinguish her from other kinds of demon.

Notably, the name "Yozakura" isn't her real name — she chose it as a human alias half more than half a century ago, though it's been noted to sound rather archaic.

Trivia

  • Yozakura, as with my other demons, does not adhere to the Demon (Fanon) article, and thus, permission was not required.
  • Yozakura, as a dog demon, bears similarities to the same species from Inuyasha.
  • Yozakura's original name was intended to be Yōko (耀子 Shining Child). Ironically, given her status as a dog demon, Yōko, written as "妖狐", refers to a mythological fox spirit.
